Bland food never again not worth the money

First time user here We were both impressed

Great taste but not hot enough Had to reheat it

Yet again another lovely tasty meal delivered early and piping hot.

A little late but understandably so it was a very busy night. Meal was nice & tasty, thankyou team.

Husbands food was wrong and food was cold won’t be ordering from here again!!

wow, chicken korma tasted great full 5stars there, coconut rice beautiful. Mushroom rice top points hit the spot, peeshwari naan Delicious!! All food came hot and cooked!! Some much flavour and super fast delivery. Will deffo order from here again The. Only problem we had which is so minor (personal taste) the Mango chicken dish was nice, but the mango was on the hard side and the dish not quite strong in a mango taste / flavour other than when you eat a chunk of mango. To others i'm sure this dish would be perfect but it was all that was to us lacking the rest was heaven! <3

Missing items from the bag and those items that were there. Food that bland might as well have had a cheese sandwich.

Tried a different meal this time which was'nt as good as my usual meal but that was not Zafrans fault, on the whole another good result from our favourite takeaway. Thankyou Zafran.

We have ordered from here a few times and have enjoyed our meals on each occasion. Unfortunately however the service is inconsistent, a couple of times we have had items missing such as the yoghurt and mint sauce and salads that come with starters. The mango chicken is our favourite dish from here and is definitely worth a try but the starters are overpriced for what they are (only 2 samosas per portion). Aside from that, the food arrived on time and we really have enjoyed the food every time from here.

Was very hot/warm when it arrived. Loved that. Delivery 1st class. Flavour wasn’t much to be desired. Left unsatisfied with the taste. Not what it use to be.

Sadly the vegetable curry that we asked to be madras hot was'nt it was mild, other than that everything was lovely. Charming delivery lady and very polite, on the whole except for the mild curry an enjoyable meal.

Great tasting food, and very good value for money.

Not even going too complain about the fact it took a hour and half too come, food was 10/10, just delicious.

I always read reviews or places before I order and always leave a review if I feel it’s necessary. Food came early which was great, we ordered a chicken tikka starter, tikka masala main with egg rice with a garlic and cheese naan. The food was great, really tasty. We never have Indian as a takeaway but fancied a change and it really hit the spot. Was still hot, chips weren’t soggy which we find is always the car regardless of whatever cuisine so that was a bonus. & the price makes it even better. I looked at other places and it was adding up too around £35, however our total came too £21 and the found was outstanding for the price. Will definitely be returning!

Can understand food being late being a Saturday evening, but chips were hard and cold and makanwala curry was bland and tasteless. I've had it before and it used to be divine but tonight was a huge disappointment.

Great quality food, arrived early with some free items, always a bonus. The lady that delivered the food was also polite.

we ordered 2 main meals with rice and naan bread and the food was beautiful and so much there enough for tea tomoz will be definitely be ordering again and delivery was prompt and the young girl delivering was also nice

Always loved the food but last couple of orders not tasted very nice. Today meal was absolutely vile. Worst Indian I’ve had ! Prawn cocktail had no prawns in. Lamb was chewy no taste to curry or rice! Really disappointed

Unfortunately our food tasted very bland, very little flavour or seasoning. Madras seemed to just have a bit of chilli powder in it and my sagwala just tasted like chicken and spinach.

Food was enjoyable but was very late. A text or call from restaurant would have been appreciated to explain the situation and would have resulted in no markdown on delivery time.Also there was no lamb in the Zafran delight only chicken hence the mark down on the food quality.

Delivery was on time and the driver was lovely. Contactless delivery. Food was hot and tasted great except for the chips which were not fully cooked, pale and hard. The rest was great so I just dropped one star for the chips.

The food was tasteless not good. The chef’s special was supposed to have chickpeas in they were butter beans. Veg balti was awful the veg side dishes aswell. Will not use this restaurant again. Totally disappointed a waste of £45 !

Great quality food, good portions & fantastic service. The guys always chuck an extra popadom in, good touch! Can’t complain, all round good curry for a fair & reasonable price!

The food was quite a bit cheaper than my usual Indian so my expectations weren't high. But I was wrong! Delicious food delivered quickly (so it stayed hot) by a friendly driver. I will definitely be ordering from here again

Lamb tikka jalfrezi was vile, not much lamb and chewy and there was even a small piece of bone in on of chunks. No flavour at all! Never ever again!!!

Food was amazing! Especially the pakoras and the lamb was so soft and tender! Will definitely be ordering again.

Very late even some part of my simple order was missing which I contacted them and they apologised and offer discount for next time. But they never realised perhaps the portion was requested was for specific people and there after we have to justify their mistake rather than having a decent first time class experience from them.

Really lovely food enjoyed it all especially the Spinach rice and will definitely be ordering again soon

The tikka masala, tasted like it was cooked in tomato soup. The zafron delight was not a delight. I've used this restaurant for years. But not In the last few months, but what a change, the tikka masala was the best I'd tasted, and the zafron delight was full of herbs and spices, and had a kick. This time it tasted like a bland out of tin meal. The nan bread used to be large and tasted beautiful these we got were like thin sheets of cardboard, sorry to say all this I really loved this takeaway, but now it's time to look elsewhere, oh and it was 1hr 10 mins to come.

CUURY WAS BLAND - NOT LIKE A CURRY. BOXES NOT IDENTIFIABLE AS TO WHAT THEY CONTAIN. NAN BREAS ONLY CONTAINED COCOANUT AND WAS DOUGHY.

Contacted restaurant once food was late. Told me it was on way and will be 10 mins. It actually took another 30 minutes.

Quick delivery and nice delivery guy... but this was probably the least flavour I’ve had in an Indian. It was nice enough to eat, but just wasn’t very good. It was salty more than anything and the curry sauce that came with the biriyani tasted identical to the balti.

Chapatis looked and tasted shop bought not hand made, chicken and lamb looked and tasted like it was from a freezer shop, sauce was bland, first and last time ordering from here. I wouldn't recommend this take away, bought better from supermarket.

I’ve had food before from zafran and always good . Tonight it was bland . There was no authenticity in the curry sauce very much chicken and tomatoes but not much taste or spice really tomatoes taste over poured the taste . The Nan bread was lovely. The starter was ok but the the lamb meat was tough to eat and chewy .

I order from Zafran on a regular basis and the food and service is always amazing. Im surprised by some odd bad review as we have never had a problem. The menu is amazing. Id advise to go direct to their excellent website for better discounts than Just eat. Keep up the good work and the amazing food 5*

Worst meal I'd ever had from Zafran shocked and dissapointed. Keema Nan was undercooked had to be finished in a griddle . Food was bland with no taste . And I have had the order multiple times in the past and loved every morsel . Hopefully this is a one off .

The food here is always lovely. So order again and it was nice but not quite there with flavour. I always order Jalfrezi but on this one occasion it wasn’t as good as previous time. Will be ordering again which should say how good it is.

The curry with the biryani was so runny and had no taste. The naan bread wasnt cooked properly...it was soggy and tasted wrong.

Horrible... I’ve never has such a tasteless curry in all my life, basically watered down so much it was like a soup. I also ordered and paid for lamb but was sent chicken. Chips where really undercooked and where soggy. Waited 1hr and 45 mins for a very poor and tasteless curry. Won’t order again from here. Thanks for spoiling my evening!

Over an hour's wait for watery vindaloo only had 3 bits of meat in the entire thing and the balti tasted more like a korma. Naan breads was cold on arrival too. Definitely won't be going here again

Used to get some free poppadums with a meal this size... No longer... Also since service charge and delivery added I no longer tip. Food a good standard tho.

I've always been happy with Zafran but tonight both the korma and the chicken tikka didn't taste it's best. We enjoyed the naan but didn't enjoy the rest.

We have had some lovely meals from here before, tonight however we got chicken in tomato soup not chicken tikka masala . The jaipuri chicken looked almost identical to the masala, with the exception of a hint of spiced flavour. disappointing. Delivery was good however and the food was hot.
