Slow service, order wrong but what we had was ok

Just had tandoori garlic chicken and chicken balti with mushrooms. Both meals were absolutely delicious-best indian takeaway we've had in ages-we will definitely make this a regular treat 🥘 As well as a nice couple of real ales in the eagle opposite ! 🍺

Onion bhaji very nice as for the Bengal chicken completely tasteless no flavour at all disappointed to say the least

The food was actually very tasty and the portion sizes were ok, however it was over 30 minutes late and cold! Not one to normally complain, but this did spoil it for us, we’d probably not use them again for this reason.

Ordered a takeaway from Cookley Tandoori and it was excellent. Very good portions , very tasty, great value and nicely spiced. Just visiting on holiday but would definitely recommend.

Wasn’t amazing. Pretty flavourless both curries were. The starters were ok. Curries seemed watery and lacked flavour.

I've ordered from here before as it is my local curry house and I've found the food to be nice. However, this time I was given the wrong order, which was a chicken tandoori korma whereas I order a plain korma (I noticed as the taste was different and the chicken was bright red) and I called to ask how I could get my order and was told I would have to drive down myself?? I have just given birth and I can't get in my car and drive. Really disappointed as this was first meal after birth

although the food itself was great we place our order before half 5 and the food came over 7 - almost 2 hours between ordering and the food being delivered.

Food arrived late and cold. The quality of of the food is poor after many years of using them will be looking else where in the future

Clicked on the vindaloo option and asked the restaurant to make it a phall if possible , came as extra hot ,hoping for some kick in-the curry how wrong was I little more than a madras , saag aloo was more potato than spinach good flavours in food but think I will go back to my usual takeaway

Ordered and had a pint in the Bull pub over the road while it was cooking. The young lad who took our order was really helpful. Great range of dishes and chef specials. Food was cooked fresh and piping hot, very tasty and great value. Definitely go back as I work my way through the chefs specials!

Food was dreadful. Starters were cold, old, stale, like floppy bits of old bread. Curry was watery and tasteless but yet completely inedible due to being as hot as lava. Utter rubbish I’m afraid, compete waste of money.

Food was good and portion sizes good. We ordered in the take away so we could ask for the correct spice level and they don't take cards there, only on line, but there is a cash point next door. Not as hot as we thought but extremely tasty.

Absolutely awful no salad with starters Starters were dry and the curry was just like it had been cooked with a jar of chilli paste no taste just to hot and the rice tasted like water and was all water on my plate couldn’t taste the garlic in rice at all will not go back again been twice before and wasn’t impressed but thought been a few months so we try again but bad mistake all went in bin

The driver left my delivery at my neighbours door 2 houses down.. the food was 45mins late and cold and was missing poppadoms and chips.. very disappointed with my order..

Food is normally really good but today the chef must of had a bad day food was really oily and chips couldt of done with being cooked !

Ordered twice from here and forgot a rice on both occasions, which just eat refunded for us. Food is otherwise nice and arrived when stated

Ordered a buna meal with rice no spice or flavour to the meal phoned them to be told you have to specify strength but not asked when ordering , spoke with chef and staff all uninterested or helpful used this place a lot not anymore rude and dismissive very disappointed with the attitude you have been warned very poor meal

Have tried this a few times now, experiences were getting worse but kept persevering because it’s on my doorstep and want to support local businesses, BUT…. Chicken Saag and Chicken Tikka Dupiaza ordered, both were dry, not much chicken and we were both ill within 12 hours, out of both ends! Won’t use again, we ordered early after opening and that was clearly a mistake too, my wife said her chicken was very hard and thought it might have been reheated a number of times! Shame really, we’ll now travel further and pay more to enjoy a safer food experience! Eat from here at your peril !!

2 weeks in a row late by an hr when booked for a specific time. Same excuse. Still waiting for food now. Not cheap either

Cookley tandoori is the BEST!! Quality of the food is perfection, unlike other takeaways the chicken tikka Balti is how it should be, the biriyani was spot on. 👍

Food was vile im normally a regular but won't be ordering again it's gone down hill they missed out items and when we phoned to tell them they didn't have any initiative to sort out the problem the staff was very rude 😡😡

Ordered a chicken korma, chicken jalfrazi, two egg fried rice, keema nan, a bag of chips. They delivered two jalfrazi my partner can't eat hot spicy food hence why we Ordered one korma, a quarter of bag of chips came, absolutely disgusting service, quality and wrong meal delivered. I rang twice to ask them how they would rectify the problem to be told "when we order next time" it would be sorted, sorry, that isn't the way you operate a business or rectify things. We've both now gone without meals because you've managed to ruin it for us, if you can't get the orders right, rectify problems straight away or errors on your part then you really shouldn't be in business at all. Absolutely appalling

As a 40 year curry aficionado delighted to have discovered In my neighbouring village. As good a choice of starters, main courses and additional sides, breads and rice I know.Great delivery service and always on time. As importantly, great value for money, compared to other local takeaways….tough times ahead but will be glad to support….excellent!

Food was absolutely lovely cooked fresh and hot despite being other side of town. Cookley tandoori also fulfilled our requests despite them being outside the box. 10/10

If you want a veggi meal that’s got some spicy kick . Instead of all that masala and cream . The veggi special is the one . Great with all the authentic flavours and meat free .

The chicken tikka has been very tough on 3 different occasions. It's a shame because this take away is usually fantastic 😔. And just lately the chefs are not as accomodating as they once were. Not the usual standard we have come to love here at this take away. But some staff are lovely and food is generally ok.

We eat here regularly, it’s always great food , the value is incredible given the quality of meals served . Ok there are no fancy bells and whistles, but you stand at the counter AND look directly into the chefs area ! That’s shows a confidence in the quality of the menu. Treat yourself …….. Jaal Morris 😋

Food was not great, overall disappointing. It was very very oily and greasy, even for an Indian takeaway. I didn't enjoy the artificially coloured and very flat onion bhaji either. Even the breads I had (Roti and Paratha) were both too heavy with grease. It was just too much.

Have ordered from here a lot. Tonight’s was the best they’ve ever served. Really happy with my chicken tikka masala, egg fried rice, and tikka naan.

Always friendly, always generous and superb food. (* Onion bhaji are sometimes burnt or a little black around the edges, but everything else is great.) Really nice well mannered staff too😊

Both the chicken tikka masala and the dupiaza caused puddles of water on the plate which ruined the rest of the food. Also the kebab starters was shocking quality. With a wait time of around 1h45m it's just not acceptable.

Great family meal last night, all dishes cooked to perfection and enjoyed by all. Have used many times over the years and the food has always been great and they’re always happy to tweak dishes (I like my Biyriani sauce madras hot with a twist of lime pickle for instance). Tikka is always tender, and portions are generous. I collect as it’s good to see how the chefs work so efficiently in the open plan kitchen! App works well too.

Food was piping hot when it was delivered and it was delivered early! Food was brilliant. My seven year old loves it and ate everything and asked to have it tomorrow. Will definitely be ordering from there again.

Food was great and came quickly

Food tasted awful, ordered 2 garlic nanns we received plan or 2 with very little garlic because they tasted bland. Korma was vile, not sweet at all had no taste to it my whole plate was watery! Definitely will not be ordering again. It came 30 minutes before the delivery time so maybe instead of rushing the order to get it out take your time And perfect it so you have happy customers!

Although the food was a bit late it wasn't a problem as it was Saturday evening & they were very busy. The food was very good, spicy & hot.

Used to be good this place but gone seriously down hill now. Twice in a row now we've had to wait over 2hrs for food and the first occasion the food went in the bin as the lamb wasn't even edible. Very disappointed. Avoid like the plague..
