Zacks in Birmingham

Absolute chaos, we ordered over the phone as we live quite far away so it would be ready when we arrived. Got there to be told we dont have 3 jerk chicken meals you can wait half an hour if you like, but we ordered on the phone why allow someone to travel and not have there order ready. Managed to get me one jerk chicken meal then palmed us off with some fried chicken that if I wanted I could of gone round the corner for, no sorry or discounted meals 2 people very disappointed as didnt get what they ordered. Shame because the food was nice but the organisation shocking so wont be going again

Thought I could do no wrong tonight. Checked on how busy they were, phoned through the order directly (as opposed to Just Eat who take a cut from the restaurant) and collected. Was told it would take 20 minutes but took about 35 which was not a major issue for me. However, when we'd got home, the two portions of dumplings (6) ordered were missing. Would not have minded in the grand scheme of things, since we'd spent £40 on food tonight, only my 6 year old loves these - largely down to his interest in Kung Fu Panda! This resulted in a further 15 minute round trip drive to collect said dumplings and did not even receive an apology from the staff?! ... just 6 dumplings. Suppose I could have checked the order before collection but who does that? Real shame since the food was very nice, especially the goat curry, but had to mark it down for this reason.

There was plenty of food, they came and set everything up, food was delicious everyone loved it. Would definitely use them again .

Ordered a delivery at opening time. Phoned in. Still waiting 90 minutes later. 2 phone calls and they couldnt even tell me whether they still had the order. Seens a very haphazard operation. In the end cancelled and went elsewhere. Avoid.

Being born in Trinidad I know good Caribbean food! This place is awesome! Dumplings are to die for and proper chicken curry and proper jerk! Takes time for delivery but ai know why.. because its fresh! It'd be great to have abit more veg side dishes and roti on the menu but other than that no complaints! Its now more popular in our house than an Indian take away!

Me and the wife have heard good things about this little hidden gem. So we gave it a go this evening & all im saying it the food is out of this world we had a try of a bit of everything it is so tasty u would think u was in the Caribbean. Friendly staff we will definitely be going back. Just remember everything is cooked fresh so u will wait but trust me it's well worth the wait.

I ordered the oxtail with butterbeans from here a few weeks ago along with rice & peas, plantain and dumplings. All the food arrived on time, piping hot and fresh. Very tasty, full of flavour and generous with portion sizes. My only suggestion would be to maybe add some scallions & stock to the rice and peas it was a little dry and bland. The plantain wasn't ripe either so not sweet enough for me. All the rest was fine. Like I said I'm not complaining just a few suggestions that's all. I will definitely be ordering again, I was to try every dish on your menu to see what my thoughts are. Grace

I love this Jamaican restaurant and it delivers too. The food is tasty and lovely and staff are warm and friendly with great customer service.

Flavour Flavour God dam they best Jamaican delivery place for miles. Getting addicted to there Jerk chicken the smoky flavour is on piont.

Zack's is tucked away on an industrial site near to our house and is a real hidden gem, an unexpected find for the area. Wet regularly order deliveries from them and they never disappoint - good sized portions, great selection and always tasty. If you fact a break from the normal takeaway routine, give them a go - you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Highly recommend Zacks, great menu, all tasty and fresh amd excellent service. Great to have Caribbean food locally without having to travel near the city centre.

We ordered takeaway to be delivered on what was obviously a very busy Friday night (the incredibly polite girl on the phone forewarned us that it would take over an hr to get our food). When it came we were impressed by the quantity and quality of the food- salt fish fritters, dumplings, curried goat, fried chicken, rice and peas and coke for just under £20. It all tasted great- not at all greasy like a lot of fried food can be, and delivered just on time. Yes, it took a while, but it was well worth the wait and we'll definitely be returning to Zacks.

not the best food never anser the phone rang for over 2 hours . had to go pick up my self stew chicken not the best , mutton average if any think have the jerk chicken . dumplings greasy . if you want real food of this type try bings or russels on lozells rd . far far better but must say 5 star hygiene ratting is a positive

Went here for the second time today and had an excellent cup of coffee and delicious rice peas and curry mutton. I can definitely recommend the food and I will return again. A hidden gem well worth a visit

I have visited this place with friends and on my own a few times recently for lunch and it really is a unique cafe with some fantastic food. Great prices for a wide selection of breakfast, snacks, sandwiches, cakes and food on offer.Lovely little place tucked away in the heart Sutton Coldfield which is close to my home. Staff were very welcoming and remembered us the next time we visited. Will definitely be visiting more often!
