It you want the Mcdonnalds of thai Street food then go here. Awful food that really shouldn't have come as quick as it did unless it was sat in hot drawers. If you like your rice served in a plastic bag and inedible then this is the place for you. I really wish I'd never eaten here as there are so many better thai restaurants to choose from in Sheffield.

Me my wife and son love Zaap and their food. I highly recommend going to try some Thai authentic food. No parking but there is public parking and Council paid parking, but can be free on the weekend or after hours or around 6pm

The food was just incredible. So authentic and everything was cooked to perfection. Especially the banana fritters which were light and fluffy. I like that the vibe was different from a normal thai restaurant. It was vibrant and looked like a thai street market. So was way more relaxed and had younger people in there.

This is a slick operation with great food, and quick service. I really enjoyed the duck and the sauces.

The surroundings and service were great, the restaurant is designed like a Thai street food market. Very clever. As for the food; top notch, very authentic in flavour, good portions and spice levels. Finished with the mango sticky rice dessert, which was delicious!

I’ve eaten loads of Thai food, both in Thailand and elsewhere, are I’d say the food at Zaap is right up there with the best I’ve had. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

Amazing food. So authentic. Spicy dishes are genuinely spicy. We had the pork belly which was cooked to perfection, 3 chillis meant it was very spicy, just how we like it, but the meat was tender and crispy melted in the mouth. Cocktails are brilliant too. One of the best Thai restaurants I've ever been to 🏆

Fantastic food, the service is superb and a great atmosphere. The only improvement I would suggest is a small amount of time between starter and main meal, but that was us and most people will want the fast service. Will be calling in again 👍

My first visit and this place is so great. Very traditional food and service. I will be trying everything on the menu (lots of visits). I cant fault anything. No need to book, just arrive and eat.

My first choice of restaurant for Thai cuisine. Everyone in my family love thai food and love the food at zaap. There are huge selections for main but only few options for starters. the only problem is you cannot enjoy the food if you go in rush hour, it is so busy and waiters rush between drinks, starters and mains.

We’re regulars at Zaap, absolutely love the food and environment. Went for a birthday meal and food on this visit was really tasty, although portion sizes small. This led to us ordering an extra portion of rice while eating our dishes. Unfortunately, I had to then go and ask for the rice a few minutes later as it never arrived. Waitress told me in a minute (she was preparing take away orders). Politely asked for it now as we were eating. Rice was promptly delivered to the table, with attitude! Disappointing, look after your customers eating in house, service charge removed by us at payment. Fortunately think 10 year old birthday son was oblivious to this. On a related note, kept hearing a door bell sound, which I assume is a take away orders being placed. Is that right? Does spoil the experience a little, perhaps this could be considered? We’ll be back, still one of our favourite restaurants and if you’ve never been, try it! It’s (usually) great.

I visited your Sheffield branch on Saturday at 6.30pm for what was going to be our first ever visit. It was on the busier side but had several tables available for 4+ guests but as there were only two of us we had to wait for a smaller table to become available. This wasn’t an issue. We were then given a table right by the front door. After about 5 minuets I asked the waitress if we could move tables as every time the door opened there was a a huge draft and it was quite a cold night. No effort was made to move us, and the manager continued to seat couples who came in after us. I would not have minded so much but there were plenty of other spaces we could have been moved to. I was even more annoyed to be told they were ‘reserved’ when your website clearly states you do not take bookings. We walked out and ate somewhere else. Very poor customer service.

It's a proper Thai street food restaurant, exactly taste food like you are in Thailand. Amazing. And prices not a big, very highly recommended. Also service is amazing too. Yes, sadly but after my last three visits seeing this restaurant getting worse and worse. Two weeks ago I come and order special winter offers... this king prawn, what a different meal come (((( nothing like a picture, just 5 king prawn in hot lemon water (((( it's looks like most expensive prawn lemon tea for £18, it's really terrible. Not any vegetable, not any herb's just hot lemon water. Last Monday I try another,, special winter offers,, this good looking isan sausage in picture of menu.....taste not bad but portions is looks like have half of Frankfurt sausage...for £11(((( starter grilled pork neck.... it's dry like be two weeks in sun. And my favourite som tam? Isn't nice. And no draught beer cos saying have busy week. So, try today again, lucky have last draught beer cos not have again ( not understand your manager, it's easy to keep some more barrels than not have, it's have quite long time expire date) food isn't bad but not extra good taste like months ago, burning desert roti((((( ...I probably understand, we are now so busy looking someone who write something true and we don't like it then give ban this person, well done ((( yes, to me too cos i write true about whywe have menu in Chinese language? And I say is really disrespectful for others, non Chinese or English nationality customers. This Chinese here probably speak very well English cos if come here, that need speek English. Yes, this is really disrespectful for another customers but looks like we don't care about this true and just give ban to person who said this. Anyway, sadly this food is really getting down and service too, for your service charge we can be more friendly to everyone not just to Chinese. DISHONEST PRACTISE: Excellent food and nice atmosphere but I think adding optional service charge to bill is complete dishonesty many people wont even read their bill and just pay what the total is.Why dont you let customer decide whether to tip or not?? I feel this is done so people who ask to cancel or change bill feel embarrassed in front of rest of the people and their family and dont be sorry if I felt this way because if you are either you change your policy or put it on big board that we add service charge in the bill without letting you know. I wanted to visit you again but cant do it as I can’t be part of the business which encourages dishonesty.

Incredibly thai food, the menu is extensive so you could go many times and try a new thing every time. The atmosphere is great, service is great and quick, and the food is incredible.

This place was a nice little dinner out with our toddler. The servers were friendly and attentive and the food was all incredibly delicious with complex flavors that I know I don't make at home. We will definitely be coming back here.

Got fooled by the great interior and setting on two occasions, but on both occasions food was not enjoyable, strange taste to pad Thai and green curry. Are they using precooked chicken? However service was very prompt and friendly

Fifth time eating here over the past couple of years. Simply great:) Food is excellent, service very friendly (one of our group is a wheelchair user and the access, assistance and welcome are always excellent). Good they do so many fish dishes too - their Pla Lad Prik is spot on. Also great to see so many mixed ages there - families, solo diners and older people, students etc. which gives the place a lovely vibe. Accessible toilets on ground floor too - which were spotless. Always had a lovely experience here - great to be able to see the chefs preparing the food too. Can't wait to go back:)

The fact that they can call this Thai food is laughable! Bland, flavourless, and all came out cold. We asked for the food to come spicy, I have honestly had spicier ketchup. If you actually like authentic Thai food this isn’t the place for you. The fact this place has 4.5 rating just shows the food standards we accept in this country! Avoid!

Brilliant food and lovely staff. I felt the tables are too close to each other which spoilt the experience for me. The toilets are downstairs which is not good if you are not 100% mobile. I didn’t like the toilets at all. I didn’t feel safe as you have to go down two flights of steps and you are then very isolated. The toilets were not very clean and had an awful odour, very much like a drain smell. This really put me off going again.

Love this place and my daughter’s favourite! So much choice in the menu. Everything we have tried is so flavoursome and delicious. So many unusual and fun drinks to try too. The staff never fail to be welcoming, friendly, polite and helpful. Couldn’t ask for more. Already looking forward to our next visit!

Very very beautiful place that our son introduced us to during our getaway to Sheffield. Excellent meals, varied, very friendly, smiling waiters and waitresses, an excellent moment of conviviality in a very beautiful decor, you would believe it, I recommend this place, well done, keep it up, thank you for everything.

Food was good, one dish I found to be too salty but they replaced it straight away.

Basically this is a great restaurant with good service and excellent food unless .....you have small children with you. They really should put into their advertising "children not welcome". We were accused of leaving my Grandchildren unattended on the "decorative Tuk Tuk" which we did not and would not do and the way both my Daughter and I were spoken to was appalling. On asking to speak to a manager, her attitude was disgusting. I spoke to another parent in the restaurant who said that the Tuk Tuk should be removed as it caused problems for their family when they visited. If you don't want families in your restaurant, say so and if you do, don't be rude to the accompanying parents/grandparents who pay way too much for standard thai food. We won't be back.....with or without our children.

Having lived in Thailand for many years I enjoy coming to Zaap. The food is good - maybe not "like in Thailand" good, but definitely enjoyable. The staff is always friendly, the service is fast and most importantly they managed to recreate the ambiance of a Thai street food market fairly well.

This restaurant was very busy and has a great atmosphere. We enjoyed our food and our waitress was lovely. We didn't have long to wait for a table, despite the place looking almost full. There are so many tables in there, you have to navigate carefully between them if you are seated at the opposite end of the restaurant to the toilets

10/10 I’ve had Thai food all over, and this was place was spot on! Authentic Thai food. The waitress was very kind and let me substitute the Pad Thai noodles with the Pad See Aew noodles, and those noodles were HUGE! The Pad Thai was soooo delicious. Just the way I like them. I also ordered the wonton soup which was so delicious with the cabbage.

Took out sharing starters and pad swee Ew. Tasty but the starter was a wee bit small. Many people enjoying the street ambience!

Fantastic experience from the moment we arrived. The staff were brilliant, discussing allergies all through the order, the food was delicious and timely, we placed a second order after tasting one dish. Would definitely recommend and will be back, next time in Sheffield.

Poor staff this time bob and del. Horrible curry, full of powder. Extraction didn’t work so it smelt of fumes and cooking. 25 mins to get a drink almost 1 hour food. Don’t add a 10% service charge.

Just awful service from Bob the young man in glasses and del, so nasty and awful. Food ok. Such a shame. When I complained their attitude was terrible.

Great food and friendly staff, takes you back to Thailand

The staff are super nice and friendly, especially the woman who greeted us first when I visited on Wednesday. I was excited to try as I love Thai food. I got the Gang Panaeng curry, it has a really specific taste that I’ve not come across before but it was soooo tasty. Initially I thought the portion size was small, but it was definitely enough. Got some prawn crackers too, the portion size was more than generous and the sauce was really tasty too. Tried their bubble teas as well, got watermelon juice with lychee popping bubbles and fair to say it’s one of the best I’ve had. Really nice decoration inside as well.

Absolutely delicious food, with an authentic Thai feel! Friendly staff and great atmosphere. I do think some dishes are slightly pricey.

Having been to Thailand a few times, I can say that this place is one of the most authentic Thai street food that I've had outside of Thailand. The food is absolutely delicious, the staff are amazing and the restaurant itself makes you feel like you're in a Thai food hall. I'd even go as far as saying that Zaap is my favourite place to eat in Sheffield at the moment. I would highly recommend!

Tasty food, friendly service and bustling restaurant

Got some noodles from here to collect, we were so looking forward to it but honestly, what a let down… Not sure what the big fuss is all about. The Pad Thai noodles were tasteless that we had to add our own sauce to it. Would recommend maybe trying something else on the menu!

This is my absolute favourite place to eat in Sheffield. Anytime any friends visit us we take them here. The food is absolutely incredible, as are the drinks. The staff are always smiling and so happy. Such a great buzz about the place. This is as authentic as it gets!

Yum! Authentic street food feel with great eats. The only thing that got to me a little was some of the cooking smells in the air which made me cough, but that may just have been me.

Great Thai street food restaurant with friendly informative staff, an amazing atmosphere, a good choice of dishes and great food.

Five of us went for my wife’s birthday, to be honest it wouldn’t have been my choice, how wrong was I! Really cool, great atmosphere, lovely food, genuine attentive service and fantastic value. One very happy vegan in our group too. We’ll be back, but now we know they deliver as well, it’s probably going to become our first choice on a Friday night.
