Taste of Thailand in Sheffield

I ordered a 15-pound seafood fried rice. When the food was served, I found that the seafood was all smelly, so I ate a few bites of the fried rice. After reporting this problem to the manager, I asked for a refund. They only refunded 3 pounds, saying it was because we ate rice. , so I have to charge 12 pounds. Then I had diarrhea.

Very disappointing. We have the same dishes every time but they were nowhere near the quality on this occasion. The thai salad was tasteless. No complexity, just like sugar water. No lime or chilli in the dressing. The salad was mainly onions. The fishcakes for starters were delicious

Ordered take away. The pad thai was burnt and prawn hard and overcooked. Average starters. The red curry Was nice and tasty. However I would not be ordering from there again. The Thai food quality on Ecclesall road is much better

Gorgeous food. We enjoyed both our starters and both of our mains. The presentation was stunning. Atmosphere/decoration was gorgeous and it was a lovely experience with happy staff. Pleasantly enjoyed eating here.

Atmosphere is good but that's where it ends. Food took ages. Main course was nice but starters were dismal, straight from frozen. Didn't get full up and it wasn't cheap.

El arroz para la red sabía a quemado. No recibimos las fichas que pedimos. El camarero fue a buscarlos, pero terminamos diciéndole que no se moleste, ya que no podíamos comer la red y simplemente nos pospuso totalmente. ¡Qué desperdicio de 75 libras y lo peor es que los dos nos hemos despertado hoy con el estómago muy mal. Wonderful restaurant with wonderful food!

We booked a family dinner for my 65th birthday. My order was wrong but was rectified quickly. Unfortunately, I ate alone as my family weren't served until a Just Eat or Deliveroo delivery went out. I counted 6 of these over 1&1/2 hours. The food itself was poor, very deep fried & quite tasteless. The bill came with a 10% service charge which was enforced even though we didn't want to pay it! The staff were very friendly & it's a shame they are left to deal with customers who are disappointed because the policy is to prioritise takeouts over diners who have made the effort to come to the restaurant. My advice is stay clear we certainly will in the future.

Had the lunch deal, £15 for 2 courses and a drink. Grate value for money. Will definitely go back again!

Best experience outside of Thailand

We’ve been here multiple times and they food is always 10/10!! Personally love the prawn pad thai and the prawn dumplings!

This place was recommended to me so I went and bought the prawn and dumpling soup, And OMG IT WAS TO DIE FOR💯👌🔥🔥 If you haven’t tried please make sure you do👍 You won’t regret it, Thank me later🙌 I went in and ate inside and it was that bloody nice I ordered another to take home, So that says it all 👌 Just had again for the last 3 days, This is seriously unbelievable 🔥 I’ve had this from so many different Thailand restaurants and once again the best by far, If this place ever closes I’ll be lost. the chef is amazing and so are the staff ❤️

My wife is vegetarian and she really enjoyed the variety of options for her. The Tom yum soup is top notch. We would easily go back there. The customer service and the attention to detail is a 10/10. This was our first visit and what an absolute pleasure it was. From the moment we walked in, the experience was first class. Such a warm and friendly welcome. The menu has a great variation of meals on offer and is absolutely first class! Very friendly and attentive staff, they couldn't do enough for us. Can't wait to go back. Would highly recommend 👍

I ordered crispy pork salad, I am so sorry to say that the pork was sooooo stiff I barely can chew its like a rock.. they might reheat it again and again… I really disappointed I paid for £13-14 for this dish but I cant enjoy it feel like a waste of money But Somtum was nice I really can taste of thailand and The staff was really nice too

My boyfriend and I went for a birthday meal and I have to say the staff members were extremely polite and attentive to us through the evening. We ordered two starters, the chicken satay skewers and the prawn dumplings and both were delicious though not enough to overfeed you before the mains. We both had the curry dishes and I have to say that these dishes have been the best food I've had in Sheffield- I highly recommend over any chain restaurant. The wait times were minimal and the ambience of the place was lovely. Two glasses of wine, two starters, and mains came to 55 pounds total and I think that was money well spent. I highly recommend it for anyone coming to Sheffield- there is parking near a pub down the road or on top of the small supermarket and there are bus stops nearby so no excuse!

Great Place to visit for eating out

WOW! I’m still sitting here in awe of how great the food was. This place is severely underrated and the best Thai I have had outside of Thailand. I had the sukmavit road and WOW! They catered to my spice level ( I love spicy) and it blew my mind away. My spouse had the Tom yum and the flavor was packed. Do yourself a favor and stop in. Great food

This was our second visit , it didn’t disappoint. Still the best Tom Yum I’ve ever had . This visit I tried a local dish which was great . Even the missus loved her meal 👍 we will be back .

we came here as a group of 7 and received excellent service from wawa, pear and ake. the food arrived really quickly and was delicious. it was one member of our party’s birthday and the staff ensured it was an enjoyable and memorable experience. they even gave us free banana fritters at the end of the meal which was a lovely treat! would highly recommend, thank you so much!

Having been to and loved Thailand, I do always have high expectations than I visit a Thai restaurant. To say this place met the standards would be an understatement. I visited with my mum on a busy Saturday evening. The staff were warm and welcoming and very helpful. But even more, the food was amazing. The home made vegetable spring rolls were delicious. I had a Tofu Massaman Curry for main which was awesome and my mum loved her Pineapple Fried Rice. With a great atmosphere, lovely staff and reasonable price it was well worth it.

Just had a delivery that included Seamed Seabass, please avoid this, it was basically boiled fish in a cabbage soup and not as described on the menu, which smelt and tasted awful. Maybe this is a takeaway issue and the dishes better in the restaurant, but it is we think, the worst takeaway dish we ever had. The other dish was fine.

Food was absolutely awful. Prawn crackers were brown with an overcooked taste. Chips were also burnt look and taste. The main meal was the worst food I have ever tasted. Just a pile of brown soggy noodles. It was so bad, I couldn't eat it. I gave one star because I was with my granddaughter who ate some of her meal although it was supposed to be crispy pork. The pork was fatty and not crispy at all! I ordered a coffee but even that tasted stewed and I couldn't drink it. All this cost £50 - for this slop!

Delightful family-run place with a relaxing atmosphere and lovely staff. The food was excellent, beautifully presented, with really hearty portions that don’t skimp out on flavour. We had the delicious veggie platter which was perfect to share between two. My bowl of noodles was huge and amazing for the price. Plenty of choice for veggies/vegans which makes me want to return!

EXCEPTIONAL place to eat! Ordered the Thai green curry and it was sublime! The servings are generous, so you won't leave hungry, and the customer service excellent. Really enjoy visiting when I'm in Broomhill, Sheffield. The staff are fantastic and cater for all dietary requirements. Its my 'go to' place when I want to eat Thai food. The chef is fantastic! Lovely place to sit and relax and people watch too!

The three of us are all familiar with Thai food and are well-travelled, and have visited many countries in the world including Thailand. I am afraid that though the service was good as well as ambiance, the food itself was at best average. We found that the starters were greasy, spoiled because they were probably not cooked in hot enough fat. The mains where all very unexciting, while they were well presented they had almost no taste. There was no heat in any of the food and it seemed that all the spices such as lemon grass and basil but almost entirely missing and impossible to identify within any of the meals. We were not impressed by the quality of the food, some of the meat was clearly cooked into submission and the vegetables could have been fresher. We all only ate about half of our main courses, we did not want to take any of the food away for later. In summary this is Thai food cooked for a bland English palette, fine if you want to eat food that looks tired tastes English with just a touch of Thailand about it, but absolutely useless if you are looking for the genuine taste of Thai food.

Everything about this meal was just lovely from the food to the staff, and such good prices too for what you get. I will definitely be coming back for more as everything on the menu was just so easy to read and delicious sounding. I had a pork noodle soup and it was absolutely amazing

So delicious - probably my favourite Thai restaurant in Sheffield. The serving portions are great for its price, they have just the right amount of spice for every dish (if spicy. Markings on menu are accurate too!) and the food quality is great. Vibrant place with other guests enjoying the food too! Service could improve since they seem to have lots of staff but we still had long waits - though it was a busy Saturday when we went & same staff were also handling the many delivery pick-ups. I recommend the Pad thai & Tom Yum (for the classic) or Tom kha (for when you want a non-spicy, creamy alternative). ☺️

We ordered food from Taste Of Thailand, through City Grab as a takeaway, as we live in the sticks. Wow we are literally blown away by the food. It was definitely the best takeaway we’ve ever had! The food was fresh and so tasty. We had: Cashew Nut Stir Fry -- Chicken Holy Basil -- Duck We will definitely be returning! Possibly NEXT WEEK! Thankyou 🙏

Food was absolutely beautiful - so full of flavour and good potion sizes. We had Massaman and Green curry. Just a note of warning - the green curry is labelled as a one chilly rating (as was the Massaman) but it was rather spicy! So, if you don't like too much of a kick ask if they can reduce the spice. The Massaman wasn't spicy at all, which was perfect for my husband. We will be back and recommending you!

Ok food and thought put to its presentation. Waiters were friendly but a younger lady (looks like owner) kept dimming the lights each time she walked in until you could barely see the food you are consuming ...

Very disappointed with my order tonight. I spend £33 on 2 dishes and a starter and all of it was not well cooked. Pad Thai had soggy noodles and tasteless. The massamum was very oily; tough beef, undercooked potatoes and bland. Not great! CRAZY!! I tried this place again as its local to me and recieved a tofu pad Thai instead of chicken! Seriously?!

Lovely green Thai curry and rice

Have been here in the past and it has been good however we are very disappointed with our last trip. Since there was only one waitress and it was quite busy it took nearly half an hour for our drinks to be brought out. It was absolute chaos & you could tell all of the customers were agitated. After another long wait, our food came out & I was given the wrong dish. Was told to wait while they got the right one- must’ve not cooked the correct one at all as my partner had finished her entire meal before mine came out (I had told her to eat as I knew it would probably be a while). The fire alarm also went off, which in hindsight was probably for them cooking my correct dish since it came out very burnt. Both dishes were of poor quality and did not taste good, however it was impossible to get the waitress’ attention & she did not check in on us throughout. They also seemed very preoccupied with deliveroo orders, as they had multiple problems with this and all of the delivery drivers left either having to cancel or having to wait a great deal of time for the food- therefore would not recommend ordering via delivery unless willing to wait a very long time, or risk having your order cancelled. We left feeling very upset, as did many customers that evening.

Had a couple of takeaways recently and both times fantastic, visited restaurant last night and again really fantastic food and excellent service.

I’ve recently orderd through Uber eats, first time, spend £14 on a duck noodles and few other items. I have no idea who are they trying to fool, these food taste like Chinese food made really badly. There is no flavour whatsoever, I’ve could of orders Chinese and had better flavours. I’ve ordered from plenty of Thai places in Sheffield and they pretty good, this place I would never order again. I can see the pictures and they tried to make it look nice by putting flowers and unnecessary things to cover up the taste of the food, so then people buys it, buyers be aware food taste like s**t

Amazing for vegetarian food! So many options and food has been immaculate every time we have ordered. Staff are lovely but the biggest highlight has got to be the food!!!

The first time I went to Taste of Thailand, I was spoilt for choice by the menu. The food was amazing, so I joked that I'd have to come back and try everything... Three months later, I've been nearly every week (in person and take away) and have tried to have something different each time. I've been really impressed with every dish. The staff are really lovely and never fail to make us feel welcome.
