Yummy King Chinese Takeaway in Hinckley and Bosworth

Absolutely the worst Chinese food I have ever had in my life. I feel scammed. I ordered battered squid, so these guys had the brilliant idea of getting dried up squid that was probably left out and compensated for the lack of squid with batter to create the illusion I was getting more squid than it actually was. It's dishonest at the end of the day. Tried to get a refund from just eat, they responded with "so sorry but all resteraunts have different methods" their methods are just being dishonest. I encourage you guys not to waste your money on these people YOU WILL REGRET IT!

Food arrived half cold, no taste to any of it and after eating a small amount me and my partner both felt quite sick. Avoid avoid.

Absolutely disgusting, All cold and just dishes of onion n watery sauce. The so called crispy beef was just burned batter. All in bin, not even fit for a dog!!!

It was my first time ordering from them, and I found their salt and pepper combo are incredibly delicious!

Said 60mins for food. Fine....2.5hrs and counting. Not fine. Will be getting our money back

Waited 1.5 hours for food just for it to arrive and half of it was missing. We called to tell them this and there was no apologise, the woman on the phone just said she would 'send it next time' ?!! When we said we wanted the food now as there was no point is us eating what they sent because it was just chips and rice. She said they were very busy and they'd try and send the remaining food out within 30 minutes. 1 hour later the food arrives and it was cold. 2.5 hours wasted waiting for food that all ended up in the bin. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE!!!!!

Chinese was hot and on time as usual! We have ordered from Yummy king multiple times, not sure why it is showing as new but it was nice thank you!

Worst Chinese I’ve had, was cold when arrived, no flavour, had to throw it

Our go to Chinese! Always happy with our food, great communication and service is always the best. We won’t use anywhere else!

Wrong dish delivered. Ordered chicken with green pepper and black bean sauce and got beef.

I order frequently and it's usually superb. Most of what was delivered was perfect but the satay skewers tasted odd. not the sauce but the chicken tasted off. It was sort of fishy tasting.

Ordered many times and never a bad experience. Food is lovely and always warm! Delivery also great.

Ordered a munch box for a silly price for what it came like chips was stone cold and hard the meat I was like it had had no meat on the bone ribs was the same basically everything was cold!!!

Mix Chow Mein had only one prawn in it. Chicken Chow mein was stone cold.

I never write complaints or rate places but the food arrived after 1 hour 25 minutes +. The rice was basically cold and mushy. The other food was slightly warm (not hot) … everything in the munch box was sickeningly sweet!

tepid food, rice days old so was beef dish it tasted off was inedible with burnt cashew nuts, tofu tasteless and mega greasy. I'd say £32.00 worth of takeaway £25.00 worth went in the bin. gone down hill sadly won't be using again or recommending...

10/10 would would eat again. Put more filling in spring rolls please and more salt and pepper on chips.

Everything very salty and asked for no onions in any of the dishes as can’t eat them and I had more onions than chicken. Only good thing what food I could eat was hot

Ignore the bad reviews, I've been living in the Leonardo hotel for 3 months for a large project 5 days a week and I've had tons of these, always the same quality, it's not top tier but it never lets you down when you need it.

This food was delicious, the chicken was juicy the batter was perfect not weird dense and soggy or oil filled, the chow mein was delicious and well cooked and seasoned, and another thing the sweet and sour sauce was still a sauce which rarely happens.

the delivery was brilliant but the food was terrible. the pork balls were tough and greasy. the duck rice was dry and chewy. not enjoyable at all

Hands down the best Chinese takeaway we've had in the last few years! Our order arrived earlier than expected- always welcomed in my house! food was still hot, tere was plenty of meat and prawns in both dishes, which were also packed with flavour. Our order was correct. We will absolutely order from here again!

Ordered from here numerous times, this order was for about 8 people so big order nothing missing all hot and fresh. Always give us free veg spring rolls and a couple free bags prawn crackers. My sons 18th birthday this was his choice of takeaway for himself and friends was lovely, thank you 😊

Delivery was early which was great but can’t say the same for the food. It was cold and very bland it felt like it was just reheated and I’ve never had a chow mein where the meat is on top of the noodles just not enjoyable at all. Thought we would give a different Chinese ago but back to our usual from now on.

the good was 50 mins early which isn't good when we were waiting for our friend to arrive I thought the good wasn't as good as all our previous orders

The food was delicious, the only thing I would change is to go a tiny bit lighter on the salt as certain parts were slightly too salty, regardless good value and a tasty dinner

worst food from here I've ever had!! used yummy king for a long time,chowmein tasted off and smelt disgusting...chilli chips!!! wow just chips with what looked like a pile of chilli seeds in some kind of goo all in one clump!!! looked awful,smelt awful,tasted awful!!!

We order from here quite often and tonight was oddly small portions. Not sure why. Only got 4 very thin and small spare ribs for £8, not much meat on them. The pancake rolls were about half the size of normal. Maybe they’ve reduced the portion sizes on purpose…

Delivery time kept getting pushed back and eventually only the mains turned up. Tried calling the number provided multiple times and it will not go through - takes you to a voicemail which is full and won’t allow you to leave a message. Have had great experience ordering from here previously but this has left a very sour taste. Would leave the stars as zero but the app wouldn’t allow it.

I have been charged twice on different cards for one order! One card told me it was for rejected but now it showing as paid, why would a restaurant deliver 2 orders to the same address, doesn’t make any sense! I want a refund, capital one are looking at how you took a payment without authorisation!!

I am shocked to see such bad reviews. I've eaten lots of Chinese food (the real one not the one cooked for British) and I actually really appreciate this takeaway. We always order everything "chili salt" and the squid, the prawns and the ribs are amazing

food was okay, not the best but definitely not the worst. When we ordered it said would arrive 9-9:30. however it turned up at 8:35 Which we were not ready for having only just got home

Really tasty, the Singapore chow mein was super spicy but it is a spicy dish. Only wish that there were half portions available for kids. 👍

Completely wrong order delivered but the right receipt was in the bag. Tried to call but they had closed. Paid cash so can't get refund via Just Eat. Had mushrooms in the rice. I have allergies!

Everything was fine, I just think it's a shame how you get charged 10p for plastic bag, l have a choice when I go to the supermarket I can take my own, they charge me £20 for a meal so what's the point in bothering with 10p for a bag, might seem a bit pathetic I'm just a principal person and any excuse to get even an extra 10-pence out of you seems a bit sad, so tbh the next time I order a Chinese takeaway it won't be from here 🤷‍♂️🥴 ( I bet you're glad you charged me 10p for the bag now)

Curry sauce tasted of powder mix and, I don't know what the meat was but it wasn't beef

Too much salt and why has my whole salt and chilli box meal covered in sugar? Also the ribs was the smallest ribs I’ve ever seen.

Having had to wait over nearly jne hour and 45 mins for my food... the food was not fresh and the chios looked like they had been reheated over and over.. by this time and after waiting so long I wasn't hungry anymore. The chow mein was barely warm nor was it fresh. Then was charged 2 pound for a small can of coke when I ordered 1.5 litre bottle. Will not take my costume there again, when u pay out for food u expect it to be fresh and edible.

Delivery came rice was missing rang up said would send it straight away ended up ringing again 20mins later asked them to sent a new order out as other stuff was cold bought a new order out and took old one rice was missing again rang up again the lady on phone was calling me a lier more or less than in the end sent a rice everything was cold won't be ordering from them again.

Chips have been re heated, not happy at all

Chow mein very dry tonight. I understand it is a dry dish, but tonight was an exception

food was a bit cold and the chips was soggy the sweet and sour sauce was really vineragy and to much batter on the mixed balls

Taste was okay there are much better places- it was very late so may have impacted the flavour. Ordered at 7.40pm and it didn’t arrive until gone 10pm. Also I clicked to say it was late and ask for an update and didn’t receive one until 10.22m saying it was going to arrive at 10.40 but it had already arrived?

When food was 2 hours late we called. They seemed to have delivered the food to the wrong address but backtracked on this and said it would be 10 minutes. An hour later, they said they were in barford again and would re cook it. Food arrived 3 hours and 15 minutes late. Staff were rude.

The food has always been great quality but this order was awful. The prawn toast had a strong beer taste, the chicken balls were tough and chewy, the chiw mein was bland and the crispy seaweed was soggy and bland. We've ordered all of these items before and they were amazing but this has really put a bad taste in our mouths

Food is always hot and delivered on time. Friendly driver. My 1 year old loves the chicken chow mein. Would highly recommend this place

Chicken soup was way too salty and really small portion for 4 £, chicken skewers - meat was really chewy and taste just not good, same for noodles. Will not order again.

I've ordered from Yummy Kitchen a few times now and absolutely love it! The food is delivered within the hour and is always piping hot! Their cha siu bbq sauce is the most authentic I've had in a long time and I especially love their chicken dishes. The chicken is so soft and succulent and really delicious! I love that they have a website that you can order online from and they have a variety of dishes to choose from. I've been telling all my friends about this takeaway as think everyone should try it! They should call themselves Yummy Kitchen! 💕💕 I have ordered from Yummy King many times and there is no doubt that I love it! The takeaway was delivered within an hour and was still hot! Their BBQ sauce is the most authentic I've had in a long time. I especially love their chicken meal. The chicken inside is soft, juicy and very delicious! I like that they have a website where you can order online and they have a lot of dishes to choose from. I have been telling all my friends about this takeaway because I think everyone should give it a try! They should be called Yummy Kitchen! 💕💕

We ordered prawn toast and didn’t receive them. Crispy chicken was soggy and not very nice.

Absolutely disgusting the curry was OK the chips were over cooked, the Banana fritters well here we go, there were mouldy and off tasting to the extent of being unwell. Look at the photos. Food & Hygiene rating is wrong, so I will be contacting the council.
