McDonald's in Hinckley and Bosworth

A lovely and clean McDonald’s restaurant, I don’t use often but am happy every time I visit. Staff is always very polite and friendly, food is very nice and hot. Drive thru is available. Outside tables are available, quite a lot of parking spaces, including spaces for electric vehicles with chargers. Please be aware of parking time, think it’s 45 minutes.

Fats food not service poor and quite rude will give that one a miss

Missing items and food was cold due to delay in delivery. Rang uber and were completely useless and rude. Rang mcdonalds who would not help and told us to ring uber. Rang uber again and the same outcome. Completely and utterly poor customer service. Ripped off!!

I have had numerous deliveries through the McDonald’s app over the previous month for my family of 4 and on EVERY single occasion something has been missing! Weither it be the sausages from the pancake and sausage breakfast to a happy meal to a double quarter pounder, every damn time. I used to just let it go and contact Uber for a partial refund on the missing items but now that they have done that a few times they won’t do anymore refunds and McDonald’s have washed their hands of the responsibility claiming they weigh the bags before they go out to ensure the order is correct which I would argue seriously need to be addressed!! How can you missplace a double quarter pounder or 20 chicken nuggets???

Order is hardly ever right and food is usually cold

My preferred Mcds in Hinckley but lately we've had some wrong orders and cold food. Over 10 years I can't fault a few errors

Every time I have been to this McDonald's drive thru we're always told to park up and wait. After waiting there's always stuff from the order missing... tonight i was missing a sour cream and chive dip, so went in to ask for it, only for them to say they haven't got it in... won't be back

Food often looks 'thrown together'. Some of the staff are lovely, some seem like they would rather be anywhere but at work. Special request orders very often incorrect. Overall, food is yummy

Just visited the drive thru, they forgot our order after 20mins we ended up going inside to find no staff we had to go right into the kitchen entrance to actually see a member of staff who was unaware that there was a order pending… after we spoke to him he brought us cold food we asked for fresh fries which he did do but once we got home found that our order was missing a few nuggets…. Overall really poor service

Rude mardy service. Food was chucked in the bag chips had fallen out of holders. Had to ask for orange juice 3 times.

I had an extremely disappointing experience. I placed an order for three wraps and a black coffee, but after waiting for 20 minutes with no update on my order, I decided to enter the restaurant to inquire about its status. Inside, I spoke to a young man who assured me he would retrieve my order, but despite waiting longer, it was not provided. Eventually, I approached the young lady who initially took my order, and she managed to assist me promptly. The entire experience was marked by significant delays, a lack of communication, and a feeling of being dismissed when I addressed the issue with the staff. What's more concerning is that I observed other customers experiencing similar delays, indicating a systemic issue with the efficiency of service at this location. As a local guide on Google Maps, I feel it's important to share my experience to inform others about the service standards at this McDonald's location. It's disappointing to see such poor service from a well-known brand like McDonald's. I hope management takes the necessary steps to improve their service and ensure that customers do not encounter similar problems in the future.

The food is the food but Abby the customer care assistant is out of this world. I came in with my 3 daughters from school and we were greeted by Abby, straight away she asked how we was and interacted with my girls. Once we had finished she came over and asked how we all was and had further interaction with us. I work for a prestigious OEM and we don’t even get the service that Abby showed. One in a million and McDonald’s you have a very good concept with customer care and amazing member of staff.

Awful, absolutely awful. I got no French fries and I asked for no pickles and extra bacon on my cheese burger, it is my normal order but instead this time I was given an original cheese burger and attempted to ring up about it and the employee rudely ended the phone call. Not happy at all About this!

Order delivery as I don't drive, when it arrived both bags were sealed and when I opened them I only got 3 out of 4 drinks orders correct and then the second bag which contained the food had the wrong food in , so from ordering a meal for myself and a happy meal for my son we was left with just a drink to have as the food that we received my son didn't like( he's very fussy) and I couldn't even eat the other one as it was spicy and I can't eat spicy things, rang mcdonalds and they refused to help saying it needs to go through 3rd party it's nothing to do with them even though they cook the food they pack the food into bags and label those bags and then send those bags out with the driver from their establishment which I find absolutely ridiculous after working in a take away myself for many years if the take away made the mistake then they fix the mistake instead of putting all the blame on a site that just takes the order and the money , very poor customer service!

it should have been a latte it has a slight smell of caffe and it tastes like nothing. All this after a 15 minutes wait in a parking spot and also the food it's been delivered by a manager.

DO NOT BUY TAKEAWAY FROM THIS MCDONALDS! Each and every single order I have got from this place had missing items. Either fries when using the drive-in, or the sauces and other items when used the delivery services. Awful! Called each time and get lame excuses and promises next time they will do better but they simply won't!

I only ever use the drive through so can't comment on the atmosphere of the place but whenever I go the staff are pleasant and efficient. The food usually tastes freshly made, there's only been the odd time when things are a little lukewarm but that's the nature of fast food. I would recommend this McDonald's.

Place has had a refurb, but the service is still shocking, with ill mannered staff and very long waiting times. It all went downhill when Kaci Bond, Linzi Bywater and Jay Strain left.

The manager (nights) just seems to run around in a stress and gets everybody's orders wrong. Used to enjoy getting a snack after my shift, but I don't think I'll bother any more 😔

Newly refitted but the concept of "fast" food seems to have been lost in the process. Really busy today admittedly, but a lot of people were waiting a long time for orders.

Awful home delivery service. Waited an hour and 15 mins for delivery. When called, staff said it was out of their hands and totally passed on any responsibility or willingness to help.

As we know, recently, they renovated McDonald's, but they forgot to increase the taste of the food. There is no taste in burger wraps at all like before.

I guess what do you expect, if it’s to be served the correct order in a timely manner then this is not the place for you. You’ll sit and wait for a good long while before they eventually bring you something cold and sloppy that you didn’t order. You can use the wait to consider your life choices and eventually leave and avoid returning at all costs. It’s definitely more junk food than fast food.

Food was nice and hot, wonderful service from Saif and Uzi. They were so helpful and incredibly polite. The new decor looks so much better. Lovely trip out with my grandson.

I’ve been to this store twice this week. And ordered a meal with a DIET COKE and have been given a normal COKE twice. As a diabetic this isn’t great. Also the store has a really small bin that the trays don’t fit in. Very disappointed.

Managed to get the order wrong as usual but you kind of come to expect that, from no sauces despite asking twice to a missing cheeseburger, should have checked really as you can rely on maccies to get at least 1 item wrong. Food wise maccies is maccies

Drive through order,got home to find they had missed chips and burger was all out in bag,emailed them with pics of food and reciept had no reply,so dissapointed would avoid

It’s a small McDonald’s and the service isn’t very quick but the food is still good

Their breakfast is more often than not of good quality in terms of taste.. their usual fair is slightly to dry in as their buns are dry and their meat and chicken also seem over cooked. This locations has fantastic staff but it the overall McDonalds non breakfast fair which mean it's a 3/5. Edit The place as a whole is just poor value that's McDonald's itself and this particular branch as everything is slow, pretty much lack of proper packaging I.e sloppily manhandled breakfast muffins to lukewarm foods and just haphazardly put together burgers it sounds like I'm whining about value for money, but it's mor the service has gone down hill to warrant using them... I've been to mcdonalds even in busier parts of the country and the food is done better. 1/5

No matter what McDonald's I go into they are all much the same in a good way that is, clean, good food as expected and they cater to most if not all needs.

Dirty tables and floors. Staff spend to much time chatting to each other and not doing their job.

It's a classic McDonald's. You're paying for classic fast food, not gourmet dishes, and McDonald's are the best at fast food.

Ordered online, food wasn't ready also when I got home wasn't what I ordered. One lady realised I had been waiting to long and chased my order. I think too much effort was being put on chattering among younger staff not work. Shame really as I shop for my grandchildren a lot there. Better luck next time, maybe.

Just ordered just eat and only recieved a milk shake which cost £3.99 for delivery, the macdonalds were not helpful saying they didn’t have it and no way of finding where it was, no audit trail on where our cheese burger and fries were very poor service and unhelpful staff 😔

It’s a Maccies, what else do you expect

No longer can we consider this fast food when it takes twenty minutes to get the food. By which time all the drinks are either cold or have been consumed. All the delivery drivers take precedence and the visiting customers get the dirty end of the stick!

it’s awful here the service at Dodwells is so much better. staff are rude and need to sort out attitude problems. food is often wrong and cold. won’t be going here anymore.

This Mc Donald's always gets the order wrong, and this is after waiting 15 mins in a bay. Avoid it.

Last 3-4 drive through visits have been really poor with long waits & food missing every time. Check your order when it arrives.

Waited 40 minutes for 1 Big Mac meal and then my partner ordered a coke which we were waiting 20 minutes for and when I asked a member of staff about it (the ginger one with circle glasses) he said ‘idk’ walked off and hugged a customer

Wen you ask for a plan burger says plan on the box then it comes with cheese on take it back then the second plan burger comes with release on that not plan in my book all i can say staff only as good has there trainers total rubbish

Standard M’s food, service….park in the bay again…. 4/5 times…. I should be paying rent for that space.

Sadly, not sure if it's staffing issues but it's gone downhill since the other site opened on the A5. Service is a bit slower but the biggest issue is the hygiene. Every time I go in, bins are overflowing so rubbish is left on tables and that isn't collected either.

The place concentrates more on the "Just Eat" take away side than the eat in customers.. Not good...

Update. 21/6/23 Silly of me to return but in a rush I thought hey probably be ok this time!!? How wrong can one be! Check out the picture of the McChicken sandwich received vs what it’s meant to look like lol. 2022 Previous visit Shocking service in general, although many of the team have in my experience been fine one member in particular I found to be highly objectionable recently. Having failed twice in a row to get my order correct this white shirted team member proceeded to tell me it was my fault! I’ve eaten at McDonald’s for 30 + years and this branch in general represents the single worst branch and only branch I’ve ever had issue with. It’s clear why McDonald’s corporate allowed a 2nd franchise to be opened a mere mile away on the same road towards Nuneaton. If you’re on the bypass I’d strongly recommend you continue on to the one down the road.

As a grandma, one McDonald's is the same as another, but my grandchildren loved it. There was a member of staff creating balloon creatures for a donation to the Ronald McDonald's charity who was amazing.

Burgers were slightly warm guessing due to the fact we waited 20 mins for our order. Missing drinks and extras we ordered. Just a pain having to keep getting up and asking for items that should have been provided when food arrived on the table. The staff were polite but clearly lacking any organisation or motivation.

Consistently average. Fries are not the best. Always get my order right. Friendly staff. Waiting times are not too bad.

I dont know what has happened with the restaurant service. I have been using this for years with no issues at all, but recently I have been twice - once for breakfast and once for lunch and both times I had to wait 10-15 minutes for my order. Drivers were constantly served before the restaurant customers as was the drive through. And the constant alarms in the kitchen that go on and on very loud make eating in the restaurant uncomfortable - we had to go outside to get away from it, it was so bad. The workers gave the impression of hating every minute of their job, and moved very slowly to do every task. I will only be using this for drive through from now on or trying the bigger one down the street.

It's a McDonalds, you know what you are getting, sometimes a but hotter and fresher than other times

My kids are absolutely in love with the Mayo Chicken Burger at McDonald's! They've become such big fans that, just this year, one of my children has already devoured a whopping 47 of these delicious burgers. Our entire family is also hooked on their fantastic Chicken Nuggets. The service at this place is exceptional, combining both quality and speed. The staff is incredibly friendly, and finding ample parking on a peaceful road is never an issue. McDonald's continues to impress us with their scrumptious menu and overall experience

Did not get option to choose what drink I wanted with my mean just given a diet sprite, missing tomatoe dip, a pretty decent sized part of my pattie was just "missing" and literallyalmost zero bacon on whats advertised as having bacon... pretty ridiculous...

Good, friendly staff, speedy service and hot food at the usual standard. It's just annoying that there is always an item missing and we have to go back for it.

Ordered Fanta, got coke. Ordered McFlurry, got large fries.....how difficult can it be ??? Refund requested from Just Eat. Incompetence at its best.

Lukewarm fries, burgers thrown together, typical of the breed. That was last year's comment, yesterday Mrs. Stilton and I treated ourselves to a 6 nugget meal each, plus a hamburger each, now, wait for it.........IT WAS NICE!! Pickle in the bun, onion in the bun and acceptably warm, fries.....HOT, nuggets were fine, they usually are, coffee good, which is par for the course, well done Mac'ydoodles! As of March 2023 I and mrs Stilton will not be gracing the restaurants for the forceable future, thanks to the Lee collective at Hinckley, they have two sites, one on the A5 which is acceptable, and one on wheatfield way, (Hinckley by pass) which should be bombed! What went wrong, mrs Stilton's chicken burger was almost cold, mine was not cooked through (a potential health hazard) I was so annoyed I raised Cain (not the Dingle one!) And that's unusual for me as I am easy going, Macky'doodles refunded the money, but it is quite clear that we the customers are treated like something that lives at the bottom of something else (don't want to be rude). The standards of some of these franchises is appalling, I've seen food dropped on the floor and surreptitiously picked up and put back into an order, rubbish and stale food under and around cooking areas and not forgetting the ever popular cold fries! Hot chocolate thinner than dish water, toilets swimming in er, well you can guess....... Not all franchises are like this I must hasten to add. I've added a couple of pictures of the offending burgers and finally a tip, if you want really good Macky'doodles, hot fries, hot burgers, real hot chocolate, then visit Macky'doodles Larnaca, Cyprus!

Very average experience, we ordered food in the drive through, and noticed there was 11 halloumi sticks instead of 12, so I had to use more petrol by driving through again to fix it, then. It isn’t the only time we have been let down here; the food somewhat tasted bland compared to the Dodwell’s McDonald’s down the road, so I’d advise to drive an extra 4 mins and get McDonald’s from there instead. I have had to downgrade this review by a star as an employee had basically begged me to leave a review on the food for thought website and to specify his name, only to give me the wrong drink and no sauces in which I asked for.

Only came here as Ubereats McDelivery was stolen by the driver. Had the order replaced and most of the replacement order was correct. The remainder was of dubious quality! Nothing tasted nice or looked as though any care had gone into the prep. Not impressed at all.

Gone down hill since starting the delivery service. Parking was always difficult at busy times but is worse now with all the delivery drivers sitting waiting. Service is slower now also. Stores not designed to cater for all the services they trying to offer. It was a five stare
