Table of four, for a celebration. Starters and bento boxes were excellent. Staff were friendly and attentive. A perfect amount of food and not incredibly expensive either. Will eat again. EDIT: Did eat again, still excellent food and service.

Food was not really super! We tried the bento box and we chose the chicken teriyaki skewers as part of it, it was really really dry same as for the gyoza.

Come here often, they're bento deal is more than enough for lunch. Cocktails are also pretty good.

Lovely meal here this week. Tapas style oriental food, very high quality and good service despite the restaurant being busy and bustling.

I mean!! Where do I start! Going in here was just a try-something-new kinda Saturday and wow! The food was amazing, we got the bento boxes. I tried the lemon chicken (Can’t believe how delicious this was!), salt and pepper ribs (again gorgeous!), fish cake (I’m not a seafood girly but I decided today to push my boundaries a little bit. And I’m glad I did! I’ve never had fish cakes like this before, very homemade and delicious - 10/10) and lastly I had a veggie gyoza! (Chefs kiss) with steamed rice! - Top tip for the future - put the rice in your other boxes as it’s put seperate, me and my partner didn’t think of doing this until the end of the meal, we were putting our other foods into the rice - silly behaviour haha! So don’t make our mistake. You get a sweet and sour dip with it too and that was lush! I also tried the chai Thai tea! The aroma was beautiful and it came with a fortune cookie - the fortune said “a long standing goal will be achieved” well my driving test is soon! So that definitely added to the happiness of the meal hahaha! The service was lovely! The staff are bubbly, kind, happy! And the atmosphere is so cute I love it! It’s unique and different than what I’ve seen before. This is such a beautiful restaurant and I’m so happy we randomly came in here today. Next time I want to try the Sunday dim something! I can’t remember but absolutely I would come here again

Went for dads 80th and it was brilliant. I am veggie and don’t usually like Asian cuisine but I polished everything off and had dessert! I think this is going to become a firm favourite. Staff were great and food was excellent. Can’t wait to come back!

Disappointed, after looking at the menu I was expecting a mixture of Chinese / japanese food. Given Asian food if my favourite I knew I had to try this place. Palce is decorated nicely and we got seen to quickly at the door, got to our table and that's when it starting going downhill. Was placed next to the bar and a works station that sorts deliveries. Somehow, even when located next to the central hub of the restaurant, we was ignored for a long period of time. We experienced slow service. We already decided what to have by the time they finally asked what drinks we wanted but when mentioned we was also ready to take our food order we was told they will be back to take that after our drinks arrive which again felt like another long wait. Food arrived promptly and some of the dishes was excellent ( honey & soy cha siu and prawn toast highly recommended) but I found most of them not living to expectations, vegetable tempura was a thick batter and not light and crispy as it should be. Chicken gyozas somehow tested like indian somosas? (Don't think we got the correct item) The vegetable hot pot was definitely not a hot pot and more like stir fried vegetables in a thickend sauce, and the teriyaki chicken skewers was just below average and not worth mentioning. Was never checked on during the meal and when finished only then was offered more drinks but at this point we had enough and wanted to leave. I had to flag someone down for payment after waiting again for a long time. Not surprisingly, I will not be returning which is a shame as the drinks menu looked and sounded excellent, shame on the food.

I visited for the first time this week and it was excellent all round. Firstly, the food was just perfect. Secondly, I have a severe prawn allergy and the service I received was above and beyond. Not only did our fantastic waiter (I didn't get his name :( ) check what I could eat with cross contamination etc, but we were informed the oil was changed as a precaution before cooking our food. He said it may cause a short delay on food but we didn't notice! We sat outside in the sunshine as well so it was a great experience all round. Thank you!

Love this place. Great staff and great food. Best place on West bridgford high street! I love the dim sum always a great selection and very tasty. I always love to stop here. I really like the nasi goring, very nice.

Excellent food at Yamacha. Well presented. Great service Only complaint is that they take a deposit upon reservation … which isn’t great and on this occasion then gave the incorrect (too little) amount off of the bill at the end!!!

Really tasty food and was able to sit outside. The crispy lamb lettuce leaves my fave!

The ambience was good. We had a nice place to sit with our kids and they were presented with painting stuff to keep them busy. Background music was also good. The food was nice and tasty. Kids enjoyed the food and loved it. Enjoyed the whole experience . Will look forward to go again.

Best gluten-free and coeliac friendly food ever! They have a great amount of options to pick from on their menu. They’re very well versed on food allergens so great for all coeliacs!

Really lovely meal here last weekend. Hubby and son had bento boxes 🍱 which they thoroughly enjoyed. I had the teriyaki salmon salad which was perfectly delicious. Very busy on a Saturday lunchtime, obviously a popular venue for the locals. I highly recommend booking as it got very busy. We’ll definitely be back in the near future.

We booked in for a birthday lunch treat for two 17 year olds. The staff couldn’t have been more attentive and accommodating. Smiling, pleasant and polite staff. Lunchtime Bento boxes for under £15 each are such great value for money. Brownie slices with a candle and singing happy birthday - a perfect way to finish off a great meal. Will definitely go back.

Cannot comment on the food, came here for a few cocktails as I heard they were something different.. a nice twist on some of the classics and when they warn you it's a spicey drink they are not kidding 😀

It's a nice atmosphere and the staff are friendly but I think the food is too sweet a lot of the tapas choices are in really sweet sauces which become sickly I think sweet sauces are great but not when too many dishes are the special fried rice was lovely

LOVE this place. PLEASE put Ma Pao Tofu back on the menu! We come in most months and feel like absolute arses every time we beg the new staff for this certain meal that has been taking off the menu... We love it too much to change but we are sorry.. Apart from this don't change a thing. LOVE!!!

Fantastic tapas restaurant, best around Nottingham

Lunchtime visit. Had the Bento box (4 Tapas + rice) Good choice and quick service. Price had risen since our last visit but still worth it. Excellent efficient service. Just marked down the atmosphere as it wasn't busy and a little cold through the back. Will visit again

Really nice place, foods great and the bento box is excellent value for money. In and out in half an hour. Knocked a star down because they add a 10% service charge onto the bill which isn’t the norm and didn’t really warrant a quick lunch.

Love going here. The bento boxes are so tasty and very affordable. You would think the food portions wouldn't be enough, but they were very filling. I love the variety they allow you to have. The service was quick, and the cocktails are 10/10. It's now a part of my monthly go-to. Highly recommend 👌

This is one of my favourite places. The food, presentation and ambiance are amazing. Lovely drinks, friendly and warm staff. I’ve been a few times and the service is consistently great.

Really nice staff. They didn't recognise my need to use a higher table with my wheelchair but not A problem as only coffee and cake . I will be more vigilant myself next time

Poor management decision? Another evening at this venue as we have done for many years, the £25 voucher that we had been given as an anniversary present was unfortunately rejected due to being out of date. Yumacha management made the decision to not even compromise. A short term gain of a free £25 for yumacha opposed a long term loss in my opinion and an incredibly poor decision, considering we usually spend over £60 every evening and will now frequent another venue and never return to yumacha. Zero loyalty.

We have been over the years for birthday meals and bento boxes with friends and family even collection through Covid and winning a bentobox via Facebook. . The meals do not disappoint but the ending today did. We received a gift voucher from friends but didn't realize the expiry date was 6 months. We came to use it and it had expired 3 months earlier. We were told it had expired but we did ask where £25 had gone from which our friends had paid forthe voucher. They could not answer just it had expired. Not even a goodwill gesture to honor 50% of it. Over years of enjoying Yumacha/Uchi and recommending it to friends this could be the end of the road from one small slip up and not looking at the bigger picture. Feeling really disappointed 😞 After spending £100's over the years feel it was a poor management decision today

I’ve had a lot of authentic Cantonese, Malaysian, Chinese food and I must say I was really disappointed. This is mainly Chinese takeaway food dressed up as something more. The beef ho fun was literally just a Chinese takeaway black bean sauce on congealed noodles. The Dim Sum tasted like the cheap frozen kind. Service not great. If you want to come here for the atmosphere then I’m sure it’s great. If you want good Asian food you’ll need to go elsewhere.

Very attentive staff l have been here over the years and notice the prices are going up but slowly the portion sizes are getting smaller and the number of pieces is also reducing it will reach a position where there are only crumbs on the plate bulked out with flour and batter There is no need for this unless the owner is profiteering?

Visited today for the first time and left disappointed. I was expecting fresh, exciting tapas and all it really was, was average Chinese food in small dishes, in a box.They may want to Google what tempura is, because its not the batter that's on their food. They reminded me of mcdonalds nuggets. The teryaki isnt even homemade. After reading so many great reviews, I could have got similar and more at any Chinese buffet.

First time here after wanting to try this restaurant ages ago! Husband booked for my birthday meal at 7pm. Arrived a few minutes early and was seated immediately and asked for our drinks as soon as we sat down (due to happy hour ending at 7pm which was really nice of them to think of). Ordered approx 6 tapas dishes altogether, came out nice and hot and quickly! Delicious food and amazing service from several members of staff. Also got given hand wipes which was a nice touch. To top it off, I was presented with a little cake with a candle in for dessert which was really fun. Would 100% recommend this lovely restaurant and can't wait to come back soon. Thank you for a really wonderful experience.

Cocktails & food great. Good atmosphere for family or friends to meet up.

Very tasty food - we opted for the prawn and pork dumpings, nasi gorang and satay lamb udon. All dishes were delicious and had their own unique flavours (as they should but other places dishes can taste a bit 'generic') would definitely return to sample other dishes.

Went for Saturday lunch, we had the Bento boxes and a veggie chow mein which were lovely, there is a very good vegetarian choice at Yamucha. The food was very tasty, good sized portions and reasonably priced. The restaurant is nice and the service was good with the people very friendly.

We called on the off chance and got a table within ten minutes. The team were lovely, and the food was great for a mid week treat. We will definitely be back. I'd recommend the miso soup, chicken skewers off the tapas and the sui mei (not sure of the spelling) steamed buns.

The food was expensive for the portions served, especially the tapas style food.

It has been a few years since I last went to Yumacha, as I moved away from Nottingham, but I went back this weekend with a large group of friends, hoping it would be as good as it always used to be, and it didn't disappoint! The food was absolutely beautiful - we had the set menu and there was plenty of it with a unanimous thumbs up from all ten of us. The service was, as always, attentive and friendly. It wasn't particularly busy so the atmosphere could have felt a bit flat, other than for the fantastic musician and singer that set up and played a range of popular songs and got really involved with the diners. It ended up being a fantastic singalong session with a bit of dancing to boot, and we had such a brilliant night. I'll be back again as soon as I'm back in Nottingham. Thank you for having us and for giving us such a good evening.

Probably my favourite restaurant in West Bridgford... the salmon is incredible - in fact, a lot of the food is. Also, best pina colada I've had!

Absolutely love this place, The atmosphere is amazing every single time you go in doesn't matter if its 1pm in afternoon for lunch or a 7pm table for dinner its always a great atmosphere. The staff are amazing nothing is too much trouble, always friendly and smartly dressed and this goes for every single member of staff. The food is out of this world so much flavour always hot even if the whole place is fully booked. Especially like the fact happy hour on cocktails runs at a good time of the day and not like most places when no-one really goes out. Definitely deserve the 5 stars Been going for years now and definitely will be going for years to come

Food was amazing, service was quick and food was brought out within 15 minutes of waiting. Wonderful. Only downside was my lovely candle lit dinner with the other half being disrupted by countless crying children. Suggest table organisation for kids in one corner and people who want some peace on the other side of the building. Other than that. Amazing.

Great Asian food and cocktails. There are plenty of options with the food from all over the region. Somewhat easy to spend a lot in there, even if you do start in the daily happy hour. Last time went was the Sunday dim Sumdays meal that was a lot of fun.

Been today. A brilliant Cantonese/ Japanese restaurant. Food was delicious and service was quick. Maybe portions could be slightly larger though. I had vegan sweet and sour tempura vegetables with steamed rice; another had sweet and sour chicken with salt and pepper fries and the other ate Nasi Goreng and spare ribs (a bit small).
