I am always in search of a great honest all-day English breakfast. And what a surprise to find such a treat on Gardner Street in the North Laine. I have the impression that Yum is better known as a yoghurt bar (they stock Lick frozen yoghurt) - but they also do super home-made soups, toasties, breakfast and bacon wraps. It's a cosy unassuming place with just three or four tables. My wife ordered the broccoli and Stilton soup with toast, and a chorizo toastie on brown bread; I had the all-day breakfast (fried egg, two sausages, two bacon rashers, three fresh mushrooms, baked beans, a hash brown patty and brown toast). I could have had a cup of tea thrown in but I was full. My wife pronounced the soup excellent; I tasted it and I agree. On my side of the table: perfect food, huge portion. We had prompt and friendly service from proprietor Romeo. And we had change from 10 pounds. Definitely the best breakfast I've had in Brighton. We'll be back for the frozen yoghurt.

Don’t be deceived by the name of this cafe / restaurant. Enjoyed dishes off the grill menu, both of which had delicious flavours. Visited as I noticed their good reviews and I’m pleased I did. Will
