Young's - Chelsea Ram in Kensington and Chelsea

Great location at the bottom end of Chelsea, with only a short walk to the river. The food was excellent, would recommend any of the pies. Great atmosphere with an open fire, good crowd, and a really superb pint of Guinness.

Held a really lovely memorial drinks party for 30 people in the private upstairs room at The Ram yesterday. Huge thank you to the staff who were very efficient and very pleasant. The Ram is a cosy, local Chelsea pub. Highly recommend.

This is a great British pub, traditional look and the beer is good, sometimes full of chelsea fan before and after games, some times quite. Staff are friendly and helpful. It has a 'locals pub' feel to it but is welcoming to new faces. Recient refurbishment did not distract from the real pub ambiance.

Was a very good pub and normally serves very good pies. But last time I went the refurb was a bit over the top and not as inviting. Went for Christmas dinner and it was average to say the least. Maybe it was an off day as not normally pretty good in there.

We had a roast lunch here one Sunday and the roast beef and chicken were delicious with all the trimmings. High quality ingredients and full of flavour. The service was very good, friendly and kind staff. The pub itself is beautifully done up and there are little cove seating spaces with curtains which are so cosy. This is our new favorite pub in London.

Very nice pub, but poor food. £40 for set Christmas menu for basic food. 3 bits of meat, half a pig in blanket, one sprout, one parsnip and cold sweet. No table service for drinks. Definitely a nice pub for a drink but not food.!

Food was good but differed from online vegan option Service was horrific. Arrived on time and wasn’t shown to table for 20 minutes as other customers were still there, absolutely fine. However, at the end of our meal, we were told to vacate our table immediately as the next customers had arrived 30 early minutes for their booking.

Always great, have come several times, often served by Nyechie who is fantastic.

New chef in town rockin’ the kitchen and bar staff are in good hands with Caspar, perfect for dogs also!

Had a great meal there this weekend and dogs are allowed so makes our lives so much better for us and the dog. Lovely staff and most importantly not hassled to leave after out "slot time" came to an end. Great as one needs to remember this is a pub serving food not a restaurant.

Visited last night, and unfortunately they are currently working with an agency chef who doesn't seem to really be up to par. That being said, the service is impeccable, the design really lovely (freshly refurbished a few months ago) and the pie was delicious.

Just a great pub. Was in London for the ABBA Voyage. Will be back from Edinburgh in July for the ELO concert and a visit to the Ram.

Old school pub with cozy interior, relatively large selection of beers and spirits, nice and sweet service. However, it is a bit more expensive because it is located in the Chelsea district.

I recently enjoyed a wonderful Sunday Roast at The Chelsea Ram with family and some of the kids' friends. The veggie option was delicious, and the rest of the family raved about the beef, chicken, and burgers. The staff are always so friendly and accommodating, especially with my dog, Hope—they really make us feel welcome every time. It's a fantastic local spot with great food, drinks, and service. We always have such a lovely time here and look forward to returning soon, whether it’s for another meal or just to relax with a drink. Highly recommend!

Oh dear. Has the management team changed again, or is this just the 'B' team tonight? We come here often, but if this is the new normal then we'll be going elsewhere for a good while because the service was dreadful. Walked in at 7.24pm looking for something to eat and a drink, to be told that the kitchen was closing soon but that we could still put our order through. Well, okay, it's a slow Sunday night after a Chelsea home game crowd, so maybe the kitchen is tired. Ordered a steak, medium, no blood, and a shandy. Yeah I know, but I'm driving later. Anyway, the shandy turns up nicely divided into two layers. Sigh. I grab a straw and mix it. The steak arrives. It's well-done at the ends, medium an inch in, and almost blue after that. After three or four slices, my plate looks like an abbotoir floor. I can't even choke it down by masking it with the peppercorn sauce, because that's so heavily-loaded with salt that a red-alert has gone out to every slug in the borough. The chips are pretty good though. Okay, let's fill the gap with a dessert. Except I'm now told that the kitchen has closed. It closed immediately after sending our plates out, and no-one thought to ask whether anyone wanted anything else. No desserts then. Probably a lucky escape, really. So my inedible steak, a shandy apparently poured by someone who's never seen one, a tiny portion of chips, and what my missus ate (which wasn't caviar!) all came to £70. Seventy. Quid. I will NOT be returning any time soon.

I had food there and it was virtually inedible. The burrata was revolting, no flavour and the tomatoes were tasteless. Total waste of money.

Funny that there are pictures of food here. Every time I go there to eat there is no food. Always the same story. No chef. Kitchen closed. Went there last night and again no food. Just give up the ghost rather than keep disappointing customers. That said. It’s a nice cozy pub and staff and customers are nice. Can’t fault it. It’s just the kitchen that lets it down.

This place is great for meetings, it's really quiet. Oh, and the waiter was amazing!

We had 2 back to back team days at the Chelsea Ram and the service was second to none. Incredibly attentive, helpful and friendly, David and the team could not be faulted. The upstairs room is a great spot for a meeting or private dinner with a bit of character, and the downstairs area is perfect to break out into after a long day of strategy discussion.

Great spot for a social or business lunch. Not too crowded, really good menu, great food and friendly service. Also dog friendly.

Good food, good service, nice place to spend an evening

The fish and chips are great here, the steak and ale pie is just ok and the side dishes it was served with were cold. It is very busy and it took a while to get drink refills. Reservations were definitely needed on a Saturday nigh.

The Chelsea Ram was recently updated and uograded. Nice ambiance and lots of dogs allowed. Food and drink both good but portions of food quite minimal.

Whilst in the area the rain came down so we looked for shelter and a coffee and stumbled on this amazing place. Classy and cosy, big arms chairs near the fire with good coffee at great prices ( four coffees cost just a little more than two at a well known coffee shop yesterday - no paper cups either!) this is somewhere I’ll return to without hesitation.

Traditional pub atmosphere with a varied range of food. The roast dinner was very good I had chicken my father pork. The veg were delicious. My mums fish and chips not as good. The batter was chewy and hard. All in all a good experience but little things could improve- service friendly but a bit hit and miss. Had to get up and ask for the pudding menu. And please paint that radiator the paints coming off and it gives an unkept impression

Son moved in a few streets away today. Went out for a pub lunch. Chelsea Ram burgers x2 and fish n chips. Washed down with a lemonade, diet coke and a pint of Guinness. We loved the service atmosphere, staff food and drink. Will be back to this hidden gem. Parked for free round the corner which was a bonus. London pubs still have all you need, and a stones throw from the river and King's Road.

Used the RAM for a two day workshop with about 15 international colleagues. Upstairs room was just right and Jon and the staff cheerily attended to all our needs. Great coffees, basic lunch was good value (great chips), nothing too much trouble.

We hosted a Burns Night dinner party celebration in the private room upstairs at the Chelsea Ram. The private room itself is cosy with its own bar and toilet. Jon, David and team were absolutely amazing from the day we booked to the evening of the event helping us organise the logistics for a perfect night. Our guests all commented on how tasty the food was and how nice it was to have such generous portion sizes in a London pub. The pub itself is tucked away down a lovely residential road in Chelsea near the river and is perfect to host gatherings of friends, family or colleagues. It is warm and welcoming and I would not hesitate to recommend the Chelsea Ram. Thank you for having us and I look forward to coming back soon!

Myself and my partner have been to this pub once before and remembered his lovely it was and decided to return! Before watching a Chelsea football game yesterday we booked for dinner here again. we can say that we definitely made the right decision to return. The staff were super friendly and there were no delays with getting served! The food was absolutely fantastic- definitely recommend the chicken and mushroom pie! We have decided that this will always be our go to pub before any match day in the future! Thank you 😊

I booked in advance for a family lunch on Christmas Day. We had done it 3 years ago and it worked really well. Once again the Chelsea Ram put on an excellent show. Generous portions of interesting and very good food. Good service, notwithstanding being very busy and being under a lot of pressure. Everybody had a lovely time and we all agreed that we will be booking again for the same time next year. Chelsea Ram-thanks very much indeed!

Such a lovely pub tucked away in Chelsea. We went on Boxing Day & the pub was immaculate and the service terrific. Many thanks to the manager & bar staff (sorry I didn’t get your names) for making us feel so welcome after what must have been a crazy Christmas! You’ve got a hidden gem of a boozer. Congratulations

Lovely pub with a local feel. The bar person was ok enough but not breaking any friendly records. Whilst he was showing where I would be sitting for my booking a local walked in and bagged two tables and seats by throwing his coats bags and whatever else he had over them, for his mates who arrived later. I moved on to another table, not recognised as a problem by the bar person. Similar "land grabbing" at our lunch table, it was a (Chelsea) match day and a bunch of supporters descended and starting squeezing the life out of some corner seats, presumably booked but no ordered food in sight, and crowding out our table, their physical and jolly presence keenly felt Clearly a pub for locals, great, but I would've appreciated a bit of crowd control. Beer just ok, limited range of ale on hand pumps, not particularly fresh. Food ok, but distinctly unimaginative and average, sort of stuff you'd think quite not bad from a lay-by truck just north of T Wells on the A21 after being told by your dentist you don't need any work on your nashers this time around. Nothing to stand out about this experience. If you're expecting a great, proper up-scaled pub experience, keep looking. This is lazy menu building and plate delivery, yesterday formulas, looked and tasted like it was delivered by truck. If you're in need, dive in with low expectations and you may walk out satisfied but wanting more from life down the contemporary 'battle cruiser'. Personally, it'll be low on my my list.

Booked for a party of 3 for dinner. When we arrived, they didn’t have the booking! All tables weee either taken or reserved ( not ours though!!!) waitress was very courteous and helpful and offered us a tiny table at the back of the pub. We left!

It took ages and ages to be served. The food was cold and very small servings. We had to wait ages and ages to get served and go looking for the waiters to get drinks, cutlery and the bill and order puddings.

We held our work Christmas lunch here this year and it was great! Really delicious food, brilliant service and a lovely space. Would highly recommend for any occasion.

A very cautious staff, lovely homely decor after their refurbishment , tables at the back for couples being a nice and area. Unfortunately it was very difficult to read a menu as it is a very small print even wearing glasses. It was difficult to read. Overall great choice of food and extremely fresh fish and chips. I am very local so I know this place for a long time and they never disappoint.
