Resting on its laurels. Last came here over 20 years ago and it was excellent. This time it was a very different experience. The staff were very young despite being friendly they did not seem to have had much training. They struggled despite the restaurant being almost empty, bringing the wrong drinks, then forgetting to take our wine order. Menu choices were all safe and uninspiring like you might find in the average hotel restaurant, with the usual mix of Italian and Japanese inspired dishes. The burrata truffle ravioli tasted bland and cloying and was swimming in cream with almost no trace of truffle flavour. Most of the clientele were in their 50s and 60s and probably drawn there by fond memories of when this place was at the cutting edge.

Awful service, very very slow and it was a very quiet evening

Cannot say enough about how helpful the staff were here when accommodating my wife’s birthday drinks. They moved us a handful of times as more and more guests arrived, couldn’t have done more for us.

We had an absolutely wonderful meal at Bluebird. The atmosphere, food and service was all above and beyond. The setting is picturesque and this would be a wonderful spot for a special occasion dinner or date night. Parth and the rest of the team took excellent care of us!

Mr.Parth is a wonderful guy he’s make our life very easy and definitely places like bluebird deserve a guy with his attitude and loyalty for the last 10 years visiting London. This is the best guy I deal with. not forgetting the lady on the reception, which is very helpful (TEMI)

Absolutely fantastic restaurant and amazing value for money if choosing from the set menu (30 quid for 2 courses, 35 for 3). The game bird pie was unbelievably delicious and the ragu was better than the couple I've tasted in Italy. All courses tasted great and the service was kind and considerate.

We had a wonderful brunch right before we left for our flight home. We were served by the delightful Paula who was sweet, charming and prompt. Will def recommend a visit. Wonderful vegetarian options!

I’ve been here yesterday. I had stomachache after eating there, so the waitress offered me a cup of hot water. The cup and the water were dirty. Then a rat started running troughs the tables. Disgusting. I don’t suggest this place at all.

Somil was great! The bill for the steak was misleading as it appeared that it was £58 to share (not per person). Was overpriced.

However, the presence of a mouse during our visit was a significant drawback. Disappointing. Slow service, missed items from order, average food.

Food and drinks were nice however the service is so slow. Once they sit you down you're completely forgotten about. We had to keep getting up to get someone, they would bring you a menu then disappear for another 10 minutes or so - it was pretty annoying. We would understand if they were really busy but they weren't at that point. I joked to the manager about making sure he comes back with our drinks and not forgetting about us again - that went over his head because we didn't get them for another 15 minutes, had to get a different waitress to chase them for us.

It was lovely having Filip serve us during our brunch, his service was great.

Somil was great, service 10/10 and food 12/10. Very good experience can’t wait to go back!

The restaurant is so wonderful and the food is increible. You can taste a lof of savours in the same dish. Also, the waiter whose name is Filip is very kind and during all the lunch he asked to know if we need something. The service has been excelent.

Nobody at the front desk. So I went to the bar, No idea there either. Walked into the restaurant and picked a table as not busy. Very curt and rather surly female section manager in a blue suit. Left after a delicious buttatta starter as was not prepared to give them any more money

Food outstanding, let down by poor front of house (first-floor restaurant). We were there an hour and 20 mins - for lunch in an iconic venue on the main road in Chelsea, on a Friday - and there was only one other table occupied the whole time. You could almost see the tumbleweeds. Our waiter was sweet but clearly very junior and couldn't answer simple questions. There was a maitre d but he seemed to be terribly busy elsewhere with other tasks - he didn't welcome us. When I opened my napkin it had clearly been used to wipe someone else's mouth (encrusted food and greasy smears). They brought our bottle of sparkling water but then left the lid off. They had a stack of postcards (for sale?) of the iconic Bluebird car painting on the hostess desk, but when we arrived and asked if it was a Jack Vettriano, the hostess had no idea about the postcards or the painting. Overall we felt the kitchen delivered outstanding food but there was no one there to enjoy it - which is a tragedy. Possibly because the front of house staff were on the whole clueless, disinterested and not very welcoming.

We went in tired and jet lagged. Our server Somil was patient, attentive, highly professional, had great suggestions . Food quality was amazing. And atmosphere as well. We left energized and happy.

I went with my husband for a drink. We ordered a gin with tonic and the rum with cola and they charged us separately and extra for the soft drinks without letting us know. Even in the menu they didn’t have a note to say that if you want your drink with a mixer that you have to pay extra for the soft drink. So for two drinks we paid 45pound.

Food and cocktails were amazing in a lovely setting. The service wasn’t particularly warm and friendly but efficient. Toilets could also do with a decent scrub and refresh considering this is meant to be a smart establishment.

The Bluebird restaurant is a superb spot on the King’s Road in Chelsea. We were served superbly by Filipino the food and drink fabulous as always. I am so glad to have it as my local. 5 stars as always!

We had a great night and a wonderful dinner under the careful guidance of Paula at Bluebird. Highly recommend. Paula guided us extremely well and we enjoyed several courses and a delicious Eton mess to finish!

Great dinner. Started with cocktails and slowly made our way through a full meal. Paula checked in regularly without pushing us and the environment was relaxed and pleasant throughout. We loved every dish we tried and especially enjoyed the tataki and the pork chop. What a memorable way to spend our first evening in London on this trip.
