The Bottlery in Kensington and Chelsea

Very disappointing. Ordered a burger no chips & looked like it had been thrown on my plate. A tiny bottle of Sprite cost £6. Definitely won’t go again, plenty of other better places .

This was my first time in London and this place was close to the hotel. I’m so glad I came here, the service and the food were amazing. On my next trip to London I will definitely return here.

Really enjoyed our dinner. Husband loved his fish and chips. Very large portion. Also enjoyed great chips. Seafood pasta was yum. Great music, cool vibes and terrific attentive staff. 1915 silent comedy on the projector screen. Will come back

Our sever was really nice and helpful! However, we ordered food and it wasn’t available. Then our burgers arrived without cheese and onion. Our server was very nice and helped us, but definitely we were expecting more.

A disaster. Badly prepared dishes, pitiful burgers. We had to return the burgers, they only brought bread and meat, very bad. I would never recommend it.

I recently dined at The Bottlery in Earls Court, and it was an experience worth sharing. Nestled in one of London’s vibrant neighborhoods, The Bottlery offers a charming blend of excellent food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere.

I would leave 0 stars if I could. The beer and wine tasted stale and disgusting. We could not finish more than a sip. I don’t know what to think (only bad thoughts). Horrendous. Weird music with blending patterns. Do not come.

Avoid do not even walk pass ! Reward for worst place to have drinks and dinner. Nice location but do not waste your evening in that place.

It was delicious and the service was very friendly. Unfortunately, my daughter's steak was cooked through. The staff apologized several times and quickly ordered a new one, which was perfect. The espresso martini is also highly recommended. Thank you very much again

On parle tres peu anglais, vin blanc au lieu de rouge commandé, souci avec deux cocktails basiques, salade cesar juste avec salade et deux petits bouts de poulet, et un prix exhorbitant.

We didn't know what to expect based on reviews and it wasn't busy but the service was great (thanks Alex!) and the ribeye had great flavor and the chips were cooked perfect! I would recommend!

I can only say wonderful things about this place. We were looking for someplace to eat on our first night in London and we passed by this restaurant/bar, which was close to our accomodation and on a hunch (because it seemed very cozy and the menu had gluten free options) we decided to eat there. The owners and staff are really wonderful and professional. The food was great and we felt very welcome. I also greatly appreciated the dim lights which gave the whole place a cozy living room feel. The whole atmosphere is very cordial and it caters to all kinds of guests (old, young, couples, big groups, kids). There is a screen for football fans as well, but it's on mute, so it won't bother those who are not there for that We ended up having dinner at The Bottlery, three out of the four nights we were in London. Again, can only highly recommend this place.

Reading the other reviews it seems like there has been a change in the ownership. I received the worst service ever. Waited for 30 minutes for a burned burger and I could not even get a bill because there was “a problem”. Avoid for eating

Pub in Earl's Court dove si respira atmosfera londinese. Prezzi decisamente alti ma normali per i canoni locali. Due piatti principali fish&chips ed hamburger con due pinte di guiness per 60 Euro. Atmosfera molto tranquilla, da valutare anche per una semplice bevuta. Personale molto gentile, soprattutto il ragazzo di origini albanesi.

Nice cozy pub with a twist. Greek live music. Serves cocktails. Had to wait a white for food to come and had to wait again for the chips! Anyway reasonable price for the location. Polite and friendly staff.

I popped in for a glass of wine and was convinced to try the steak - as someone obsessed with steak I thought… if this guy has so much conviction - why not try it!! Genuinely one of the best steaks I’ve had in London and I’ve tried all the usual places. I was not hungry, and I still devoured the steak.. in a matter minutes. And the wine… value for money! The service.. I (as long as those around me) are first name basis with alex) felt like we made new friends. Coming from a big foodie - give it a shot - you will not be disappointed.

Outstanding! Highly Recommended!! The food is delicious. My husband has the seafood linguine and I had the Ribeye with butter parsley potatoes. Absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was romantic as well as entertaining for my sport loving husband. They have a large variety of wines and top shelf liquor. The staff is very polite. Extremely happy with our experience.

Sieht von außen ja ganz nett aus aber dass täuscht. Drinnen lief die ganze Zeit Mr. Bean, was eigentlich ganz cool war, aber parralel lief auch noch adele.Aber das ist ja Geschmackssache... Das Essen Ich hatte einen Burger der nich dolle war. Die anderen hatten Fish and Chips was quasi aus der Microwelle kam. Sevice Man hat eeeeeewig gewartet bis das Essen gekommen ist. War dann enttäuscht weil es bad war. Fazit Es war ne Erfahrung aber es ist NICHT ZU EMPFEHLEN. Deshalb nur 2 Sterne Und es hat ungefähr so viel gekostet wie im #HardRockCafe.

Bei 3x Fish and Chips kam der Fisch definitiv aus der Mikrowelle. Frisch frittiert gibt keine zähe, gummi-artige Kruste. Dafür dann mit 16.50 deutlich zu teuer. Als Kneipe für Getränke sicher ganz ansprechend, aber essen würde ich da nicht nochmal.

Really enjoyed the sharing platter which comes for your choice of meat (steak or chicken - we chose steak). Will be back to try more as the burgers and fish and chips looked (and smelled) great too!!

Visited for drinks which cost a whopping £53 for two bottles of lager, one pint of lager, two small wines and one gin & tonic. This included a £6 service charge... No idea how it was justified as we went to the bar and took our own drinks to the table. Costly, no atmosphere. Decent TV for sport but had no sound.

Just called in for a quick glass of wine in the afternoon and was greeted politely and in a friendly manner. It was lovely sitting at the window and people watching - very relaxing and chilled atmosphere. I wanted to go back and eat there in the evening as the food which other diners were eating looked great, and it seemed a nice friendly place to go as a solo diner, but I ended up having to eat at my hotel due to circumstances.

Really nice bar with an area to sit at an open window, as well as an outside terrace area. Great service, friendly staff and nice ambience.

The guys in the restaurant usually hear something entirely different than what you ask for and also then get mad at you when you have them realise you asked for something I saw the owner speak so reudly to a female as if he was about to hit her and we just left watching the restaurant behave this way with a innocent family red flag for pathetic experience

Bedienung ist gewöhungsbedürftig. Der Tisch, von dem wer unsanft entfernt wurden, war nach unserem Weggang (1 Std.) immer noch unbesetzt. Immerhin hatte der Tisch danach eine Tafel angebracht reserved. Es gibt im Quartier um Meilen Besseres.

Nice atmosphere, great service and great food. An easy walk if you’re staying in Kensington. Would definitely eat there again if I am ever back in London.

the bottlery burger was juicy and very delicious, the sticky toffee pudding with the ice cream was a must try and the service was very welcoming and nice also. i 100% recommend coming here👌

Can’t recommend this spot enough. Good atmosphere, great food and fabulous service. One of the rare pubs where you can get good vegetables with your meal. The grilled asparagus was particularly delicious. The service was so friendly we felt like old friends.

Mein erster Besuch in London. Da mein Hotel 2min zu Fuss entfernt von dem Restaurant war hab ich dieses kleine gemütliche Restaurant gesehen und auch gleich ausprobiert. Kellner war sehr nett und sehr hilfsbereit bei der Karte. Habe dann den hauseigenen Burger gegessen und dazu ein lecker Guinness. Das Restaurant hatte leider nur 3 Biersorten. Außer das Guinness gab's nur noch italienisches Bier und ein Asiatisches. Also Guinness was sehr lecker und süffig und gut gekühlt. Zum Essen. Der Burger war sehr lecker und hatte einen guten Geschmack. Die Pommes waren auch super 👍 rundum sehr gut und weiterzuempfehlen. Bezahlen wie überall in London sehr einfach per Karte.

Came for oysters but there were none in the menu 🤷🏼‍♀️ Hamburger was excellent. Ribs were awesome and came with side of fries. Nice selection of beer on taps. Not busy and staff very friendly. Toilets could use a refresh but they worked for the purpose they were designed for. I'd come again especially if staying near Earl Court.

Típico pub. Pedimos unas hamburguesas con patatas y unas pintas para beber. Todo correcto. El camarero muy amable. Precios no demasiado caros. Carta justita.

Wandered in on a Saturday night - the empty restaurant should have been a warning. Don’t ever go here, even if you’re a group of nine desperate to eat and worried no resto within five miles will have space. Service was amateurish, atrocious, and unapologetic. Whoever is now running The Bottlery certainly doesn’t have any experience in running a restaurant. The food was very poor - the fish and chips ordered by some of our crew was disastrously undercooked, to the point where it couldn’t even be cut. And instead of apologising and clearing the bill for the two parties, two rushed burgers came as a substitute with an assurance they wouldn’t be charged any *more* for their order. At least they got food. The kitchen was out of approximately half of its menu, something that became apparent 20 minutes after someone ordered the chicken only to then be told there was no chicken. Avoid like the plague!

Service catastrophique et déplorable ! La jolie serveuse ne peut s’empêcher de lever les yeux au ciel à chaque demande ou même simplement en croisant son regard. Le vin commandé n’était plus de stock, on nous a proposé un autre soit-disant meilleur en secouant généreusement la bouteille! Quant aux plats nous avons commandé un fish and chips correct et des spare ribs au bbq qui étaient froids et bouilli! Bref c’est dommage car le cadre est chouette et le bar magnifique ! On ne recommande ABSOLUMENT pas !

Burger schlechter als in jedem MC Donald in Deutschland, Pommes im Fett ertränkt, schmeckten nach altem Fett, Bier war gut serviert, Weinkarte ausreichend, als "Wein-Bar" vielleicht noch annehmbar, wenn man sonst keine kennt, zum Essen lieber nicht...

Innanzitutto chiedo scusa. Ero così affamato, che mi sono dimenticato di fare la foto prima di mangiare. Il piatto era bello abbondante. Il posto ha uno stile classico e molto accogliente. Qualità del servizio: ottima ! Tempo di attesa: 10 minuti circa. Qualità del cibo: ottima. Il migliore fish and chips che ho assaggiato in Kensington. Prezzo: Buono per essere Londra. Lo consiglio assolutamente. Tornerei volentieri.

Top pub. Das Essen war eine Katastrophe. Der Burger War eine Frechheit aus der Fritöse auf der Karte standen 6 unzen ca. 170 g es waren noch nicht mal 120 g tk burger und fish and chips fettig und Geschmacklos nie wieder.

Went after work for a steak, chicken & fries, accompanied with a glass of red, with a friend. Food was tasty and well cooked. Even though they forgot my fries, it wasn't a big drama. They were worth the wait. One thing noticeable was that the table layup was immaculate with no signs of any watermarks or dirty tables, cutlery. Top marks in this department which is more than you can say for some restaurants. Note to the restaurant: my friend was pretty unhappy when you tried to take his fries from his plate and correct my order, as he ordered fries himself. No big deal to me, however, best not to upset someone else to correct a mistake in future. Would come back again, feel previous reviews may have been a bit harsh so was willing to give the benefit of the doubt.

I went to dine at this restaurant with my husband for his birthday and had an awful experience. When we had got there, we ordered starters and mains. After around an hour of waiting we then asked where the food is where the waitress explained it was on its way. The owner/manager then arrived after another half an hour with both starters and mains after explaining we did not want them together. The manager then apologised in a very abrupt manner explaining there is nothing he can do about it now. We then got upset and explained that it is not what we wanted and waited an hour and a half and the manager then told me to calm down to which I explained I am calm just expressing how I feel then he started to clench his fist and get very verbally aggressive with my husband shouting that he does not care if we stay or go so you can leave now. This was very unprofessional and embarrassing as we were not shouting. He then charged us for our drinks which were a shandy and a normal beer to which he charged a full priced lemonade and still had service on. Please avoid this restaurant as it was an awful experience and my husband was starting to get scared as the owner looked like he wanted to have a physical fight.

Looking online this paints itself as a Steak and Oyster restaurant and in fact it has that on the front. You will find references online to both "Steak and Oyster" and "The Bottlery" . It is absolutely not this! We booked there on a friday night and arrived to find that is is very much just a pub. It was loud and had the football on cranked to full volume. We sat down anyway. The menu is standard pub fare but there are no oysters. It does serve two steaks (priced much like a Goucho pricing) but thats it, no fillet steak no options. There is plenty of other pub fare too though. If you want an over priced pub meal then its probably great but if you want steak or oysters you will need to go elsewhere. Gouchos Sloane St is just a short cab ride away - thats what we did

No oysters on the menu. No fillet steak on the menu. Just rib eye and sirloin. Loud football on the big screen TV...(maybe forgivable given its the world Cup...but still not really conducive to a nice dinner for 2) Definitely not what 'steak & oysters' name suggests or online menus suggest..... maybe it's good food, but we had our heart set on something , and this just wasn't as advertised.

Avoid at all costs. Proprietors don't have a clue. Steaks poorly cooked, served on cold plates without correct side orders. All steaks 'well done' irrespective of original request. No surprise as waiter didn't write anything down. Ended up leaving in disgust.

Pub di quartiere nello stile tipico, non troppo affollato e tranquillo per una cena in famiglia. Cibo discreto, scelta non troppo ampia ma offerta in linea con lo stile del locale, servizio un po' distratto, nonostante il posto non fosse pieno, abbiamo atteso un po' e hanno anche dimenticato un'ordinazione, personale (o meglio sembravano proprietari) non troppo cordiale

Appalling from start to finish. Do yourself a favour - pass it by without looking. Overcharged for a the 1/2 pint charged as for the full; seafood linguini - rubber prawns and rotten tasting defrosted peas and broccoli, the pasta tasted as if it was starting to go off. They also charge you a service charge of £10 at the end , but for what ?! The service was a joke - they brought cucumber for the Greek salad a few minutes later. Literally, the man just appeared and started throwing cucumber pieces into my plate whilst I was trying to eat what was meant to be my Greek salad. The waiter looked like he was a bit drunk, and lacked being professional. I am not going to restaurant to be treated like I am your buddy, there needs to be respect and distance.

Stumbled in to this bar grill house .. immediately bonded with the staff engaging with friendly banter Attoro (Dave) was amazing we had great food and drinks .. well worth the visit

Bland and incredibly overpriced food. Asked for a Sirloin steak, they didnt have, ok i said, give me the ribeye. Only that the ribeye was a rump steak. Flavourless pepper sauce warmed in the microwave. Your standard chips from a frozen bag. 175 ml of standard pinot noir. 6 pound for a bad service. 55 pound in total. Tell me it s just the cost of living in London please. Otherwise I m just a fool forking out double the price for pub grub.

Super barman who was kept the bar open until the time on the license. Good Paulaner, served well.

inanzitutto 28£ per una bistecca grande come una fettina di pollo. il barista si era dimenticato del nostro ordine, e si era messo a fare altro fino a quando non gleilo abbiamo ricordato. inoltre ci aveva aggiunto nel conto delle patatine fritte quando erano comprese nel menù. dopo averglielo fatto notare e chiesto se potevamo pagare con bancomat, lui ha detto " si certo" ma come ha portato il pos ha cominciato a dargli colpi dicendo che non funzionava, e si vedeva lontano un miglio che non funzionava da anni. così ci ha detto che dovevamo pagare in contanti, ma non non ne avevamo, di conseguenza ci ha spiegato dove potevamo prelevare.

We spotted Spare Ribs on the menus the day before so came back to indulge. But alas we were served fridge cold ribs. When we complained the bartender (who was great ) offered us bread and olives while we waited (which we declined as we were nibbling on the skinny chips). We had reordered burgers which were very tasty and came with more chips (couldn’t eat these). As mentioned the bartender was a lovely chap who came from Albania. It was only later that we discovered we were charged for two loads of chips (£7.90)! As the card machine wasn’t working we had to pay cash. Great fun chatting to the bartender and his extended family but would we go back. Possible not. If you go DON’T get the Ribs and check your bill.

I ordered a steak and I had no idea what happened in the kitchen but the steak was served to me almost frozen, it still had ice on it, spoke to the manager and showed him the state of my food, he was rude and told me he was very busy and had no time to assist me even though the place was almost empty, I told him I will never come to this place again and once again his rude behaviour came out and he shouted at me and told me I don't care, I would not advise anyone to visit this place unless if want to be treated like a peasant and enjoy poor customer service.

Über 1Std auf das Essen gewartet, obwohl der Kellner wirklich engagiert war. Und die Musik ( 80er) war zu leider zu laut.

Not a long wait to be seated, chose our food which took ages, one table left because they couldn't wait any longer. Our steaks arrived, then cold chips which were replaced with many apologies. You can have veg OR chips OR sauce with the steak,...

We are here from the USA, and so thankful we found this restaurant. The food was amazing, the drinks kept coming and the staff was the topping to the evening. We went back several days in a row, maybe just for drinks, then for Hors d’oeuvres and drink’s! The Ambiance was such a needed and relaxing feeling. To walk into a restaurant and have everyone say Hello is awesome. We have a few more days here and will definitely make a stop there. Thank you all for making our trip to London memorable.

Very slow and haphazard service, food average, nice venue though, they didn't have some of the menu options, but did try to accommodate, offering alternatives.
