After a lovely day in Northumberland we decided to book a takeaway from You Welcome in Ashington,WHAT A DISGRACE I rang up with my order from their latest menu that had been recently put through my front door, KING PRAWN FRIED RICE £7-30 KING PRAWN CHOW MEIN £7-50 2 LARGE SPRING ROLLS £4-10 AND A CARTON OF CURRY SAUCE £2-60 A GRAND TOTAL OF £21-50 they charged me £27-90 an over charge of £6-40which I queried this they said it was the correct price. The meals turned up on time, and when we opened them they where just a mass of over done noodles and rice with very little sign of any KING PRAWNS,after a couple of mouthful both meals where consined to the bin along with the extra they had sent us 3 dried out chicken wings,it was an absolute disaster and I would advise people to stay well clear of this so called Chinese Takeaway.. I must say that I have been ordering this type of meals for many many years and this one is the WORST EVER, AND IF THEY HAVE ANY DECENCY THEY SHOULD RETURN MY MONEY (SOME HOPE.)

herro, i am reggie i love this chinese food very nice egg fried rice and noodle but 4 star because my son owen freeman found a pube found a pube in his house special garlic stuff and they do not sell dog. good meal i would reccomend

I placed my order 3 hours ago now on their website I have tried to call them at least 200 times and no answer, the food is still not here so I have had to go elsewhere as they shut in an hour and I will be ringing up to get my money back tomorrow. Definitely will never order from there again.

If we are unable to get through to our favourite Chinese takeaway we always fall back on ‘You Welcome’. Food is decent enough and always delivered in good time, this coupled with easy availability and reasonable prices mean we will probably continue to use this takeaway for many times to come.

Do you want stomach ache all night and a nauseous feeling for a whole 2 days? Eat a takeaway from here! Think I’m exaggerating? I stayed at a local B&B but ate my dinner here. The staff at the B&B were obviously surprised having paid for Bed and Breakfast that I didn’t want Breakfast because I felt so ill from the Chinese takeaway. They said they’d had the exact same response from eating here. Both of them were ill for days. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Our first meal from You Welcome was very good and we have ordered on several more occasions and found the standard to be consistently high. The prawn toast is some of the best we have ever had, lemon chicken is delicious, chicken with chili and salt is wonderful as are the spare ribs a generous portion with plenty of meat. Delivery is prompt. Unable to criticize anything.

Having recently moved into the area this was our first take away from You Welcome. We ordered a large range of dishes and were very impressed, particularly with the Prawn Toast and Spicy Chilli Pepper and Salt Chicken, both of which were superb, crispy won ton and house special fried rice were excellent. Satay dish and house special Kung Po were delicious, crispy chicken balls were a little stodgy but tasted good, sweet and sour sauce was very nicely tasted. It was a large order and we appreciated the free items included with our delivery. We were impressed with the standard and will return for more.

Hi there all just a few words to say I have been a regular customer for years and I’ve been pleased to say that the food was always good. But recently it’s changed to someone new and the food has gone down hill badly. Am so disappointed as I’ve always enjoyed the food here such a shame I hope things improve soon.

Hi there a quick few words to tell you the food is absolutely brilliant we had special chow mien special curry Chinese chicken Hong Kong style fried rice and crispy seaweed and there was plenty for three people at a very reasonable price enjoy 😉 👍🤗

Very nice meal , this place has to now be one if not the nicest Chinese takeaways in Ashington I had chicken Hong Kong style with rice very nice , so nice orded same again the next day On the second evening I decided to get an starter dish so I decided to try chicken in garlic sauce really nice bite size chicken Would recommend to friends & family

Much better since it was taken over, better food and service. I recommend E1 menu with extra chips! More than enough for two!

The Chinese food from here is really tasty and the menu is good. The delivery was quick and order complete. Really enjoyed the food.

We got a take away meal last year from your welcome, the place was not very clean and that should have rang warning bells but we thought we would give it the benefit of doubt, wished we had just walked straight out. We got home dished it up and then the whole lot ended up in the bin I've never tasted anything so disgusting in all my days.. hence we never ever went back.

My parents and I ate here mid-Oct, on a Saturday night. We spent £40 for the 3 of us, which I though was pricey at best before the food turned up. The food was over-cooked, cold and a lot of it was inedible anyway; just as well really. We woke up circa 4am feeling sick, then spent the next 24 hours throwing up / sat on the toilet, then the preceding 3 days in bed with no energy and feeling terrible. When I called the place [the following Wednesday - I never had the energy / wherewithal until then] to request a refund the owner was rude, abrupt, called me a liar and would not entertain the fact that it was their food that made us ALL terribly sick. DO NOT EAT HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES AND TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW THE SAME - THIS PLACE IS DANGEROUS.

Ordered meals last Saturday. Thought it was expensive, almost £40, and so, expected excellent food It wasn't very hot and didn't look too appetising. We were sent a free dish of salt and pepper chicken wings and this was the only dish we all shared. Within hours we all had vomiting and diarrhoea , which lasted 5days. Couldn't get out of bed for 24 hours Presumed the free dish was re-heated or just a "leftover" WILL NEVER USE THIS PLACE AGAIN, NOR RECOMMEND IT

Great food fast delivery friendly staff and delivery drivers. Crispy aromatic duck is great but you don't get enough pancakes or hoi sin sauce unless you ask. Chow mein and sweet and sour chicken balls are devine. Prices are creeping up.
