Great food, always fast and friendly 👍

Egg fried rice like sticky rice and tasteless. Soft noodles are exactly that! Boiled! No sauce. Again tasteless. Chicken was like rubber. Will not be returning.

A little disappointed with meals. Not a lot of sauce so a bit dryer than usual, plus did not get our fortune cookies that were missed from our previous order 😳

Shocking. Wet claggy rice, curry set like a jelly. Bland and tasteless. Probably lush if your pissed.

Placed an online order at 8pm for a 9.10 delivery, food came at 9.55. Chicken and beansprout was hot but the rest was warm and tasteless. Won’t be ordering from them again

Ordered ONE meal on their website and specified that I would collect. I was surprised to see that there was. 50p service charge on my order (quite a lot against one meal costing £7.90). As I could not remove it I assumed I could challenge it when I picked up. I spoke to the person serving and she said the service charge was “for the admin of the website” !!!!. I was told if I had ordered by phone there would be no service charge !!!!! Madness.

The House special in Satay Sauce and Singapore Chow Mein is amazing!!!!

Found a chinese takeaway open on a friday lunchtime and thought I'd give it a try.Ordered special chow mein and a lge spring roll. Service professional and quick but there it ends. Chow mein had a good meat content but was totally bland then I tried the spring roll again totally bland. Worse I've ever had and i won't be back.

It is not good for business to take an order at 6pm then 1 and 40 minutes later the customer has to cancel the order that was never even processed.

Ordered my food with cash (not given a receipt just a number to collect). Collected food arrived home to find food not all of my order was there. Rang up to get it sorted to which I was told i had not ordered that. I definitely had ordered it, however they refused to give me what I ordered alstating I was wrong.

after using lotus house for many years as our go to take away this was without doubt the worst meal we have ever had the chicken tasted like it had been boiled there was hardly any vegatables 3 green beans 2 pieces of carrot a very small amount of beansprouts and no peppers definetly and some rather tastless sauce not worth the money

New years day we decided to order some food for super. Never used lotus for a good year. Food was beautiful, clean tasting and no fat on the meat. Arrived on time and very pleasant delivery driver. 100% will go back in the next two weeks .

Ordered food, given 30-35 minute estimate for delivery. After an hour and a half we rang to be informed the food was already sent out with delivery. Nearly half an hour later the food turns up, surprisingly piping hot seeing as the food was out for delivery for 30 minutes. Can only presume previous delivery was to the sun as this would explain delay and temperature.

If it wasn't local after having a few pints... I wouldn't go. After many visits (50+), the food has gone down in quality and up in price. Dry Rice, cold food and low quality chicken, beef & pork.

Ordered online and informed food would take 30-40 minutes. Over an hour and 20 minutes later still no food. Called up and told it would take longer as it was raining ?. Waited another 15 minutes And food arrived. Could tell the food had been sat for some time: ordered both normal chips and salt and pepper chips there was not much difference between the two. Chicken balls were nice along with curry sauce. Vermicelli was dry and lacked flavour. Very disappointed as this was a recommend from a mate who had used them for years. Won’t be ordering again.

Have loved this place being local. Would have given 5 stars for years now. However, recently, food quality has been plummeting. Chicken in Batter I bought today was burnt to a crisp. Chilli pepper chips were dry and tasteless. Egg foo young was just an omelette folded over...which essentially, yes it's what it is, but it's never been as bland and as bad. Love the people, but the food quality is going down hill

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. I honestly can't believe the terrible quality of food received tonight. In particular the spare ribs, they must have been from a bloody rat ( see the photos). Manager unwilling to speak on the phone says it all. Avoid at all costs!

Found a black long hair in the sweet and sour ribs dish. Sick to my stomach and had thrown all the food in the bin. Wanted to take pictures but they would think that it’s all made up to get something free out of it. I wouldn’t recommend or buy again.

Char sui and mushroom is so tasty. Plenty of good quality (no fat) pork.. through no fault of the establishment, bored kids decided to make a nuisance of themselves, and took no notice of staff when asked to leave. Felt sorry for staff having to put up with this.

Worst chinese takeaway food I have eaten.tasteless and ultimately disappointing. I had a meal from here only a short while ago and it was good. Don't know what's happened: new chef or maybe cutting back on ingredients to save money? Awful

I ordered a Cantonese banquet from here on a Monday evening. Our usual take-a-way is closed on Mondays. Lucky for me, the food was very good and piping hot. I ordered the meal for three although there were 4 of us. Starter of hot and sour soup, very tasty then spare ribs in a gorgeous sauce. There was plenty of meat on the ribs unlike some local take-a-ways. You get a quarter duck with pancakes but as it was a birthday meal I upped it to a half - To be honest with all the other food I needn't have bothered. You choose three mains of your choice, yeung chow fried rice and prawn crackers too. It now my 1st choice for Cramlington. Well done!

Best chinese in the area, highly recommended

Have always been very loyal to this Chinese however after last night never again! We travel from blyth to collect food never had any issues with orders but last night after getting home we seen our order was wrong, wrong meal and two things missing. Rang up to explain and asked for the couple of other things we had ordered to be replaced. (We’re not talking meals, it was simply some rice, chips and sauce that would have gone cold once we travelled back to collect the correct food) Absolutely not I was told! They would only replace the meal that was wrong. So after it being their mistake they expect me to eat half our tea cold!! So I told them they could have there food back and I wanted a full refund. This was agreed. Unbelievable that they actually did this and chose to loose not only ours but our family’s custom who have been going here for years. All over their mistake. A very rude young man on the desk who said he did not have time for this, no time to ensure the customers who pay towards his wages are happy with what they’ve spent their money on! So angry and disappointed!!!

Every time I'm forced to order from here I'm disappointed. Twice when ordering just before closing i have been given a different, cheaper order or chips and gravy despite being the only person there.

😔 it's a discrase that when you get in from work and make an order to be delivered and to be told every time it'll take 45 to 1hr and it takes an hour and a half everytime what is the point in ordering Chinese food for your tea but mite as well have it for your breakfast.

Food was great and was served really quickly. The only issue I have is the service at the counter wasn't the smoothest.

Used to be good a few years ago, gone down hill now and a very unpleasant counter assistant.

Got completely wrong order and basically told tough....not changed and no refund no attempt to undo wrong order by lad on counter. Food went into bin as we couldn't eat the food we received, It probably was nice for those that like what we ended up with but it was not to our taste. The problem wasn't the quality of the food, it was the service we received.

Food was hot when we collected it and well packaged to keep it warm for the journey home but the chow mein and chicken/prawn cashew nut meals were bland.

Delivery never on time place your order at 6pm told the food will be with you 45 mins to an hour ring up 1hr 30 mins later to be told the food is getting cooked now..

Worse Chinese meal I have ever had.there was more and grease in the curry sauce than there was actual curry.chips were reheats which were also freezing cold by the time I got home which is not a long way.needless to say I will never being eating from here again

First of all impossible to get hold of this place I'm sure they take the phone off the hook. When you do get hold of them you order delivery they tell you it'll be 15 minutes side of your desire time... This is lies your food contain up anywhere up to an hour and 15 minutes later when you ring them to complain they tell you your food is still in the kitchen this is an hour after the delivery time ridiculous if this place was not local to me I would not use it it simple as that at

Words can't describe how poor this meal was. Ordered chicken balls which had barely been cooked so much so that the batter felt like a sauce. The chow mein was so bad it smelt off, we didn't even try this as it was for my 10 year old daughter. The chicken curry was rubbery and looked lik it had never been near a pan The only decent item was the prawn crackers. This food was so bad we actually threw it in the bin and went for a pizza instead. I wil never try this place again and I advise that you don't take the risk I truly belive if we had eating this meal especially the chow mein we would have been very very sick.

Ordered a takeaway via their website for a Saturday night delivery @ 19:30. Received a confirmation email. Food was delivered @ 19:27 and was very hot. Great portion sizes and lots of meat in the dishes. Have used several times before and each time it is the same high standard.

Food ordered for 7.30pm.. arrived at 7.30pm. Food was piping hot and very very tasty! First time we have tried food here, it won't be the last. 😁

Best Chinese around. The crispy shredded chicken is the best one, strongly recommend. They also do some double wrap to keep the food warm. Great when you live a bit far away.

One of the best chinese restraunt around in cramlington . Even tho i live in Blyth the food was still warm and kinda fast.Would eat again especially the chicken and sweat corn soup

One of the best Chinese takeaways in Cramlington. Has been here for over twenty years and had regularly been providing good food. I don't know about the delivery service as I always go to the shop but the food is always piping hot and we've never had a bad order.

My go to for takeaway Chinese food. Gave a 4 as sometimes food arrives a bit cold, however they do send out fresh if you call them and let them know.

Food was rotten the service was woefull I would advise no one to order from this establishment they want your money but service you sh##e food 100% avoid.

Gorgeous meal as usual - very hot and tasty. I ordered on line and it was delivered within half an hour. I requested for cashew nuts to be added into curry dishes and the szechuan dish to be less spicy - this was carried out perfectly. Very generous portions. Would definitely recommend.

It’s a game now to see how many tines it’ll take them to get it right. For the past five weeks I’ve ordered king prawn and chicken with no batter. 4 times its had batter, the one time it didn’t, there was no prawns either. Food is ok, not spectacularJust cannot understand why it’s so hard to get a basic order right week after week.

Absolutely livid just ordered a meal for my husband, explained that he has a garlic and onion allergy, the counter staff took the order and correctly, got home to find out the food had garlic in it, rang up to complain and the woman was rude, no apology, offered to deduct the amount from the next order, but that's not the point, God forbid anyone with a nut allergy or anything that could cause any real harm, and they get that order wrong, she also tried to blame the staff on the counter. Will never go back.

We ordered hot and sour soup and it was neither hot or sour. It was sweet and for some reason full of egg. More like Chicken and Sweetcorn based. We were disappointed. Very little substance and mostly sliced cheap tinned pork. It really was rubbish.

Have been using this take away for twenty years but the last couple of visits have been a let down. Last night was the last time I wont be back. Cold rice all of them not just one and the mains were pretty disgusting.

We always order from Lotus House when I'm back up in this neck of the wood and have never been disappointed for the past 20 or so years we've ordered. Ordered a takeaway for collection and the order was totally wrong, used this chinese for a very very long time now and wont be going back, kid on the phone was useless, no customer service skills - if you want a good chinese in the area go to the village chinese, much nicer people and much nicer food

Don’t often get takeaways but over the last year we have got the wrong order 3 times ! Food is tasty enough if you don’t mind an added hair or two !! Won’t be going back even though it’s on our door step !

We placed a large order at 5pm on Saturday and it was going to be ready by 10 past but we put the time back to half past. We had a variety of meals and all of them were very nice. Highly recommend Cantonese Chicken.

I picked up a meal on the way home after a busy day. All meals were various, chow main, a curry, king prawn with peppers in black bean sauce and an egg fu-yung.The food came quick enough as I went as it had just opened. The phone orders were very busy.I got it home and the size of the portions were small, it’s the smallest cartons I’ve ever been served in at a Chinese takeaway. However it is not always about quantity, the quality was very good. A delicious meal.

So many issues... Where to start?? Let's start with the utter farcical paradoxically insane fact that wrong and missing orders cannot be rectified unless they are identified within the same day,, yet they delivered at the cusp of closing and then do not answer the phone. "chow mein" is steam cooked chicken in steam cooked noodles flavourless and inedible. One order was missing entirely despite paying for it and verifying food order twice. Order of house special honey and sweet chilli only contained one type of unidentified meat product and the flavour was just a generic "throw anything in" flavour. Wholly disappointed and ripped off. Ordered on behalf of hard working underpaid team of healthcare professionals in a local regional hospital. AVOID

Have recently started using this take away on the recommendation of friends, usually when working night shift. My favorite is Special Curry and fried rice, which is usually is a good benchmark for a Chinese take away. I have worked all over the UK for years now and I feel qualified to say so. I must say that the times I've tried it from Lotus House it has been TREMENDOUS!. The delivery service is good, never been anything other than piping hot on arrival. A proper boost for a night shift supper.
