Went here during the weekday in the £3 after 3 offer, great value. Only minor quibble is that hot food appears to stop after 3 which is slightly annoying if you wanted something more substantial than a snack or sandwiches. Plenty to see and do, although the disadvantage of the after 3 offer is that it is unlikely you will do the park in one visit, maybe it should have a land train like Shibden Hall. Overall, well worth a visit but take some e sturdy shoes or boots.

This venue is vast and spread over several miles of wonderful Yorkshire countryside. The sculptures range from beautiful to bizarre but this will depend on your own view of art. We spent 4 and a half hours there and walked almost 6 miles but still didn't see it all. Some areas were quite steep and not necessarily flat under foot so study foot ware and fairly fit people are required. Perhaps a few more benches required to rest while walking across vast fields. All together a lovely day out and value for money in our opinion. The venue also has cafe , ice creams and toilet facilities close to the car park.

Entry fee is a bit eye-watering so make a day of it. The lunchtime food offer was really good and quite sensibly priced, so a consolation for the entry cost. Some good walks and interesting things scattered around the estate like the walled round wood. Check what's actually open before you trudge off in search of a nice coffee or ice cream. The Yorkshire Sculpture Park is always a joy to visit. The grounds provide a lovely walk, and the galleries hold great exhibitions. However, one of the galleries seems to be closed, and has been for some time. Some sculptures were the same as when I visited six months ago, but others had changed and it was enjoyable to see these new additions. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

We thought the customer service was absolutely brilliant.,however we both thought the cost of entry and the price of the food was high. Making it a very expensive hour and a half. It's a very large park to walk around and can take several hours,so wear sensible footwear (not sandals). There's plenty of animal poo about on and off tracks. Away from the information /café areas there is little sitting available around the park and what there is usually has sheep poo on them. Dogs must be kept on lead although I saw a couple off lead away and out of sight from the main buildings. Café prices reasonable and there's a free water refill near the cycle stands. A trip to Yorkshire Sculpture Park is a regular feature of our Yorkshire holidays. Unfortunately, this year we were a bit disappointed. To start with, there seemed to be significantly fewer sculptures. A number have been removed and empty signs left. The permanent features that remain are great (Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth never fail to impress) but we missed the huge range which we saw on previous visits. This was exacerbated by the fact that the Bothy and Underground exhibitions were in the process of changeover and so both were closed. Accessibility around the park was also disappointing. I'm a quadruple amputee and wheelchair user and found it hard going. Several paths had had potholes and ruts filled in with chippings. These were really unpleasant to ride over. In other places large amounts of gravel had been washed into heaps, which caused me to leave the path on a couple of occasions. Plastic path grid had been added across some open areas of the path but this had been laid very unevenly making for a very bumpy ride. In other areas of the open park paths were deeply rutted. We wanted to go round the upper lake. Part of the standard route cannot be entered with dogs and the alternative path was completely inaccessible to wheelchairs due to narrow paths and tree roots so we had to retrace our steps. The chapel looked lovely and I would have liked to go in to view the exhibition - but the entrance had a step and no ramp. The park does have off-road Tramper type mobility scooters for loan - indeed, they seem to have added several new ones. Unfortunately all of them are handlebar twist - which is useless for me and many others. This is even more disappointing as I commented to staff two years ago that it would be great to have even one Tramper which is joystick controlled (they are available!) I was promised that this would be passed on but clearly no notice was taken. The staff were great, especially in the main cafe where they were so very helpful. The grounds are pleasant but not as impressive as other local attractions. Overall, it feels tired and it seems accessibility is either not high on their agenda or they don't know what they are doing. I did email YSP about these issues but have had no response beyond an acknowledgment that my email had been passed on to the relevant department.

This park is so much bigger than you'd expect. I have been twice now and still feel like there's a lot I haven't seen. It is also spacious enough that even when it is busy, it isn't overly crowded (though the visitors centre can get overwhelming at peak times). There is a lot to see and provides a good balance between seeing/experiencing art, and providing an exciting and interesting place to walk. It can be physically difficult to navigate, due to hills and such, but is generally fairly accessible (though I imagine some areas may be difficult with a wheelchair, for example). My biggest complaint is that there aren't many places to sit and rest, which with my health conditions does make it an exhausting place to visit, but other than that, I would highly recommend. Additionally they have now changed to a ticketed entry, rather than just charging for parking. I still feel it is reasonable value but something repeat visitors might want to be aware of as it did catch us off guard today.

This is a huge area to cover, so wear walking boots or trainers. Don't go in flip flops or heels. There are scores of sculptures to get to, all with a little plaque with information about the artist, what it portrays, etc. There's are some pathways, lots of walking is on grass.

Sculpture park that is trying to incorporate large scale pieces on the big walking area. The track needs to keep up the maintenance but nevertheless it is relaxed and a beautiful area. Some quirky art which I personally enjoyed. This is a real asset to the area, even as an overseas tourist I would recommend this as an attraction worth a visit. Keep evolving.
