Not somewhere I visit often because of the price- £7 for young adults and £9.50 for standard. But WOW it is great fun. I used to go a lot when I was younger and they’ve just kept expanding which is great to see. Lovely walk you can make your own distance. My father recently had a fall and as soon as he wanted to head back it was easy to make a loop back. LOTS OF BENCHES! Always a great plus. Once again the price is a bit much my parents would not have gone as often back in the day but if it goes to the artist I’m okay with that😇.

Lovely place for a walk whilst viewing the sculptures. You’ll need a full day to make the most of it. Plenty of stops for picnic and seating. The only concern would be if you take children is that you have to constantly remind them not to touch the sculptures.

Last time we went here you paid around £10 to park your car and then it was free entry, it’s now that per person!! Hardly saw any exhibitions open, expensive cafe, it just became a very expensive dog walk, doubt we’d return which is disappointing

The park and sculptures are nice but the entry fee is frankly ridiculous. I visited a few years back when it was £10 for a car and was shocked it’s now £9.50 per person. This time some parts felt empty, some areas fenced off, and the bridge over the lake closed. Overall this place no longer represents value for money so we won’t be going back!

We spent 2 days here. Taking our time and enjoying the trees and views as well as the sculpture. There's a lot to see here. Lots of the paths would be inaccessible for wheelchairs. There are lots of benches to sit on and as it spreads across both sides of a valley there are hills to navigate. The toilets are at either entrance and the cafe only. There are only 2 EV chargers as yet, both at the Weston entrance. The signage is really well done as it is set away from the sculptures themselves so nothing distracts from the art itself. There are fantastic sculptures at every turn. I really recommend going.

We met with some friends for lunch and then walked around the extensive grounds and visited Seizure, the council flat that was filled with a copper sulphate solution, and then left to grow crystals on all surfaces. Lovely place for a day out. The staff in the Weston where we had lunch and the tearoom where we went for a drink before going home didn't seem very inspired: The water we asked for at lunch only arrived after asking 3 times. My dessert was left on the counter although the other 3 people in our group did get their desserts. In the end one of us walked over and got it for me. In the tea room the 'barista' only used one part of the machine, and only ever did one thing at a time, so making coffee, frothing milk etc took forever and the queue was getting longer while the other staff only seemed to do a bit of tidying. Given the prices that are charged this is not what I would expect.

We visited this place today, parking was crazy due to people who had taken up two space by not parking in the lines. Once parked spoke to a gentleman who gave us a map told us where the lift was to a lovely little expensive cafe, he also advised the route to take to look at the sculptures outside, we started the trip as per told then a first aider didn't recommend our mobility scooter in the area but was lovely took us inside where they had one we could use however it was very limited to where we could go.. it very much spoilt our visit. For the entry price we paid feel very disappointed. The place it's self is beautiful but so others know in advance. It is not wheelchair user friendly in parts of the outside or inside area except the cafe maybe the shop not on a busy day. I would also think mum's & dad's with pushchairs would struggle such a shame. Sadly we didn't stay long as couldn't go to all areas.. Maybe they will see this and try the national trust approach to make it accessible for everyone.

Main building not so much, a big place but nothing much, the artwork on show both of us looked at each other and thought what? (I like art myself, colours but even I thought it wasn't very good) They had a wedding reception room, all decorated but with cafe next door banging away with spoons and plates. Staff were friendly and nice, clean place but could've done alot more with space they have got all in all, it's a waste of decent space, hardly anything for the kids. It was difficult to navigate our way around with two children age 2 and 3. We went to the cafe and thought we would take a look at the inside display as in the photos. If children aren't welcome, maybe a sign on the door would help? But there were crayons and paper, ect, suggesting they were. This man glared at us from his chair as we walked around and pointed and grunted at the children if they went near to the statues on display. I was quite disgusted by this behaviour and won't be paying £9.50 entry again for my grandchildren to be frightened of a rude man acting as if he was in the army.

Yorkshire Sculpture Park is a registered charity whose income enables it to operate all year round and its sculptures and landscape are maintained to the highest standard. This is Europe's largest open-air art gallery, occupying 200 hectares of the 18th-century Bretton Hall estate in West Yorkshire, on green meadows, as before, sheep and goats graze here, and next to them are displayed huge and strange masterpieces of modern artists. The park was named the Yorkshire Post's Tourist Attraction of the Year and Culture Award in 2023, and won Visit England's 2021-2022 Gold Award for Outstanding Tourist Attraction. In 2014, the British Art Foundation awarded the park with the title "Museum of the Year". An old manor house and a chapel have been preserved on the territory of the museum, which have been converted into exhibition halls. The park is equipped with picnic areas, a cafe and a restaurant on an open terrace. The store sells works of art by modern artists, albums with photos of the Yorkshire park. An excursion to Yorkshire Sculpture Park is a fun walk along garden paths between mysterious and sometimes frightening monuments collected from all corners of the Earth. Exhibitions of famous modern masters regularly take place here.

I have not visited for a long time but my friend and I made the journey and wanted to see the Damien Hurst sculptures currently on display in the grounds. We parked in the Western car park which is free and was easily accessible. There is a very nice restaurant here with a gallery ( you can't go in with a dog) and gift shop. We obtained a map and paid the entry fee of £9.50. Then we began using the map.. its just very confusing 😕... SOME of the sculptures are shown with pictures others not. Because of the size of the area its difficult to tell how far apart they are or if you're walking in the correct direction. It would be simpler if they made a small map with a circular route showing the position of each sculpture, especially the touring exhibitions. Having said that we enjoyed ourselves and saw as many sculptures as we could detect. This park does cover a vast area in beautiful countryside and there are several cafes to quench your thirst and appetite. Dogs have to be on lead because of grazing sheep and cattle.

It is so large and in parts hilly it should have some form of transport to take physically challenged visitors around. Not a great fan of some of the sculptures, a pile of old radiators and another of breeze blocks is not art to me. Maybe it is to others !! Only minor quibble is that hot food appears to stop after 3 which is slightly annoying if you wanted something more substantial than a snack or sandwiches. Plenty to see and do, although the disadvantage of the after 3 offer is that it is unlikely you will do the park in one visit, maybe it should have a land train like Shibden Hall. This venue is vast and spread over several miles of wonderful Yorkshire countryside. The sculptures range from beautiful to bizarre but this will depend on your own view of art. We spent 4 and a half hours there and walked almost 6 miles but still didn't see it all. Some areas were quite steep and not necessarily flat under foot so study foot ware and fairly fit people are required. Perhaps a few more benches required to rest while walking across vast fields. All together a lovely day out and value for money in our opinion. The venue also has cafe , ice creams and toilet facilities close to the car park.
