Aroma Cafe Bar in Wakefield

This is my first time ordering from this place, and I am not disappointed. I ordered the large breakfast, and it was amazing! I was also given a complimentary chocolate wagon wheel, which was a delightful surprise. Everything was also individually wrapped in foil, which kept everything warm. I highly recommend this place.

First time ordering from here and was amazing and to even have a little free gift and a note is even more amazing.

Very nice little cafe serving good honest food at reasonable prices. Definitely recommend the home made chips! Dog friendly and lovely friendly team of people. Waffle loved the sausages!

Called one Saturday morning "pre shopping". It was nice and quiet as it was early on. Food arrived pretty quickly and was plentiful. It was nice and tasty with plenty on the plate. Only criticism, the door was open so it quickly cooled the food and the drinks. Sausages could have done with a little more colour too, they were very pale. When we visited, they did not take card pay so ensure you have cash with you.

Picked this one at random from Google maps. Service was down to earth and friendly. The place was clean but could do with a coat of paint. The breakfast was ok. The eggs and the bacon were very good indeed. It was only let down by cheap sausages. Coffee was very nice as well.

Orderd on Uber eats came cold and very low quality food got my money back immediately will not be ordering again

There food is really nice and tasty and all the people who work there are friendly real polite and helpful very nice people to talk

We walked in to order food but as we walked in the man blew his nose over and over then wiped his nose with his hand and didn’t wash his hands. We walked out.. as if we would order food from there. Made me feel sick. Went to Retro Roadhouse instead… was lovely.

I had an omelette with chips and beans and could say it’s one of the best I’ve ever had, the chips were homemade and cooked perfectly and the bacon in the omelette wasn’t undercooked or fatty. Definitely would go back and would recommend to others 🤌🏼 Very friendly with great customer service too and a top bloke, Thanks again

Food poisoning all 4 of us. 2 adults 2 kids, different households. Nothing to eat before or after. Apparently on ringing is impossible but then explain why we are all sick. 20 (3 people) quid to be ill

Based on reviews I had to try a breakfast. It looked great but was very oily. The mushrooms were aweful and the eggs were dripping too. The bacon nearly broke my teeth yet the sausage altho obviously cooked looked undercooked and nothing fantastic. Concidering the price I put it in 3rd place after Morrisons equal on price.. Maybe go on a secret peek at Kingsway cafe who are still area winners..Sorry but that's the truth.

We had a delightful breakfast and burger. The food was hot, well cooked and tasty. The staff were polite and friendly. We will definitely be back.

Didn't know about the hygiene rating being so low until after as we wouldn't have gone in. We walked out without eating after being tossed a greasy dirty menu on sheets of paper. These should have been in plastic so could be wiped clean. Other reviews are much older so cafe has either changed hands since or gone downhill in the hygiene ratings

Fantastic value for money. We have had sunday dinner twice now, huge portion, beef was lovley, big yorkie puds..£6 each 😁

Been for the first time when the street fair was on I had bacon and egg sandwich spot the wife had a hotdog sandwich you got 2 big sausages on but had butter on the bun we don't like that on hotdogs but each cafe to there own but prices are good and we know someone who works there and she was not stop always doing something

We Called in today for a snack and drinks I ordered bacon and egg sandwich spot on very nice the wife ordered hotdog sandwich It came with 2 massive hotdogs on unfortunately too big to finish and not very happy about it having butter on but each cafe does it differently so not going to moan too much about that but staff friendly but we know someone who works there and she was none stop always doing something I always review everywhere I go and have done for many years especially cafes and restaurants so I'm always honest if I like it I will say so if it's crap I will definitely say so but today is a good review and my opinion nobody else's would go again give it a try

Just happened on this little place when we were in Horbury. Staff were very friendly and food was very good value for money. We ordered two large breakfast, which came with toast and coffee/tea. Now the sausages were not an amazing sausage, however, for the price you can complain. NIce little cafe, cheap prices, lots of choice - great little place to visit.

After being let down at Cafe capri (avoid that place) found this little gem. Great staff and great food. Thankfully we now know where to go in Horbury for some good service and food.

Kid friendly and good selection of kid food. Not lots of healthy options but lots of breakfast items, fish fingers etc and an excellent roast pork sandwich! Cool drinks, proper coffee machine, chocolate bars as snacks. All fantastic prices. Staff are lovely and cafe has a welcoming feel. I feel like it could be a bit cleaner, but toilet facilities were good. No high chairs and no obvious baby change facilities. There is more seating upstairs.

Another Sunday, another visit to Aroma. This time for takeaway given the covid-19 restrictions. Portion size is very good and the bonus of 2 yorkshires always goes down well. Excellent value for money at £5. Book early though as they often sell out.

Since Lockdown Aroma has offered a takeaway/delivery service and for a change we decided to give it a try. Usually there is a choice of 2 or 3 hot meals each day plus several salad options. The menu changes each day and is published at the beginning of each week. We have had 2 meals and my wife and I opted for the same choice, Lasagne on the first occasion and chicken curry the second. The price for both meals was £4 each inclusive of chips/rice!!! Fantastic value as the portions were very hearty. No complaints whatever on quality, tasty food. This is more of a community service than a profit-making organisation and hopefully we locals will remember that when the pandemic is over. It deserves our support.

Missing fish and chips during this lockdown, we saw via FB that AROMA CAFE was offering this delicacy on Friday. We ordered the day before and as delivery of meals was completely booked up, we collected our fish and ships from the shop. Well, what can I say,--very impressed with the delightful owners, and FABULOUS fish and chips. WINNER WINNER !

We have just had our steak meal from aroma it was absolutely delicious will definitely be ordering again xx

Working extra hard to ensure the elderly, housebound and others get tasty, good value for money meals EVERY day. Particularly appreciated when similar local businesses have shut down completely. Deserve to be supported.

Called in today for first time, 2 x large breakfast 2x eggs 3xbacon 2 x sausage 2 x hash brown beans toms mushrooms 2 slices toast tea or coffee all for £5 I can't stand toms n mushrooms so asked to swap for something was not a problem I got extra saus n extra hash brown, got to say was one of the best and tastiest breakfast I'd had especially for the price and service n staff top notch too x thanks for getting me set up for a good cheltenham week x

Rolled up first thing this morning and tried a breakfast and coffee combo at this eatery in Horbury - it was really tasty, good value and much enjoyed! Lots of well priced choice, great service and friendly staff. A real treat. Will be back soon:).

Went into this cafe today for dinner. Very reasonably priced, I had the special which was stew and dumplings and yorkshire puds which was very tasty. My kids had burgers and said they were lovely and my grandson had sausage chips and beans.

Been here a few times and always been very good. Today was not. Sat at a table upstairs and first thing I noticed was the dirty table cloth that looked like it hadn't been wiped in days. No salt, sugar or any sauces. After waiting 30 min I thought they'd forgotten about me, as had the couple at the next table who was just about to go down and complain. When my food did arrive it was ok, eggs looked good sausages looked and tasted very cheap. Rest was pretty average and halfway through I realised there was no bacon or toast. I went down to tell them and a few minutes later the bacon arrived. It wasn't worth the wait, far too undercooked. I ate one of the 3 pieces and left the rest. With so much choice in the village, I don't think I'll be going again which is a shame because it was my first choice after trying most of the other places.

Popped in last Sunday for a roast beef dinner and was really impressed with the quality for the price paid Well worth £4.50 of anyone's money.

This is a really cozy place with super tasty food and lovely staff, i would go back again any day! From light snacks to full breakfasts and full on Sunday lunch they cater for everything.

Had been out walking with a friend and was in need of a cuppa. We checked our pockets and saw we had a handful of change between us. We entered and was immediately struck with the friendly atmosphere. We both ordered a cup of tea and a toasted fruit teacake. They arrived promptly and hot. We had a full teapot of tea which gave us two potfuls each. The teacake was dripping with butter. The cost each was £2.20! What a bargain. Definitely be visiting again. Highly recommended.

Aroma Cafe is a small cosy kitchen cafe which epitomizes the Yorkshire lifestyle. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the food was absolutely delicious. Perfectly cooked bacon and egg sandwich in a teacake which surprised us with its size, enough to fill anyone for the day. Many thanks to the staff. Recommend you visit.

The breakfast is better than 'greasy-spoon', but not particularly high quality. However, it's never greasy or cooked badly. Plus the owners and staff are lovely and offer generous portions. I've only ever had breakfast here, but the lunch menu doesn't look bad either.

estado un par de veces cuando trabajan cerca, comidas muy bien y no es caro, es un lugar agradable y limpio, y el personal muy agradable y amable, siempre pregunte si lo que quieres es algo más agua caliente para el té. Bien vale la pena una visita, si lo que quieres es una comida o simplemente una bebida.
