Yori in City of London, Westminster

We were really looking forward to checking out Yori Korean BBQ in London after a mate from Hong Kong who's living there suggested it to us. She mentioned how she kept trying to snag a table but it was always booked out, which got us pretty hyped up. Somehow, we managed to get a spot for Friday night. When we arrived, there was already a queue, and stepping inside, I couldn't help but notice the BBQ smoke hanging in the air - totally prepared to leave smelling like we'd camped out in a chimney. The hostess got us seated and we quickly ordered via a QR code, impressed by how fast the soju landed on our table. But, that's about where the excitement ended. We typically gauge a Korean spot by its side dishes, but the kimchi and others just didn't hit the mark. It quickly dawned on us that our hopes were too high. The staff seemed a bit off their game and kinda swamped, probably could do with more training. Also, the vibe wasn't authentically Korean, especially noticing no Korean staff around, so our expectations for a genuine Korean dining experience kinda fizzled out. Still, hats off to the owners for their knack at drawing in the crowds every night with their top-notch marketing game.

Dhaval was great. I'd never eaten Korean food so I needed help with a quick, light lunch before going to the theatre next door.

I ate Korean food once a day while traveling in London, but I went to this place trusting the reviews and was only disappointed. The servers didn't have any service mind, and I forgot the rice on the menu that included bowls of rice, so it was served late. Overall, the food was too short, and in the case of chicken, it tasted like it was made from frozen food. It's expensive in the UK, but it's expensive. I had a good meal at any Korean restaurant, but I was disappointed the whole time I ate here. Don't trust the reviews too much.

Visited the restaurant today (first time visiting, and trying Korean BBQ . Amazing! The staff were super friendly and helpful. The online booking system is very easy to use (I was able to add more food as needed throughout the duration). I will definitely be returning, really great value for money. Thanks again for the great experience.

I had a wonderful dining experience last week. The Chicken Udon was absolutely delicious—easily the best I’ve ever had! The staff, especially Su, was incredibly nice and patient, adding to the overall pleasant ambiance. Highly recommend for anyone looking for top-notch Korean cuisine.

The visual of the budae stew is the best, but it is a bit too sweet, which is a shame, but the kimchi fried rice is delicious. The best Korean food!

I had made a reservation for the next day. We were really looking forward to our dinner here. Arrive here, I say I made a reservation... He looked at the person behind the counter strangely. Had to show my reservation. I show this, she claimed this wasn't theirs.. I asked her if there was another Yori restaurant... there wasn't. This reservation would be fake... The food is amazing, it's a great first experience. Shara who assisted us made us feel welcome.

The Shara server was very friendly from the time I walked in to when I ordered. I ordered kimchi stew and stir-fried pork. The kimchi stew was delicious, and the stir-fried pork was slightly not spicy, but I was satisfied with the combination of the two dishes. The best part was that the rice tasted similar to Korean rice, so I enjoyed it even more.

It is the first time I have gone to a Korean restaurant and the experience has been incredible and the best thing is the food too. Everything was very delicious and the waitress was super attentive and very nice, explaining to us how to do everything correctly. I will definitely repeat

A good restaurant where you can eat something different. Good and tasty meat (bulgogi), as well as fried dumplings (goon mandu). Friendly staff and quick service. Place in a super central position near Piccadilly Circus, the only flaw is a very small restaurant

The food and experience was absolutely terrible but Jonak provided such great service that it almost made up for the terrible meat selection.

First time at a Korean restaurant and it was a really good experience. The staff were friendly and very helpful guiding as on menus and cooking on the bbq . The lovely waiter Daval helped us with the cooking and spent time explaining. Definitely a place to try and the food very good.

Very expensive compared to others. Bad service. Forgot some of our food and only brought it after reminder. £19 for a tiny cut of ribeye for grilling. 10 small peices of chicken for £15 with a weird salad under weird dressing. Please skip. Definitely not worth it.

Completely obsessed! I love Korean food in general, but Yori is a step above. Everything from their Kimchi Jigae to their banchan was delicious and well-made. BBQ was delicious as well. Our server Dhaval helped us cook, made recommendations (I still can’t get over their Jigae!) and was so attentive. Next time I’m in London, I’m skipping Big Ben and coming straight here :) (also, for k-drama and kpop fans, check out their walls for photos of a ton of familiar faces enjoying Yori!)

A bit pricey, but sooooooo worth it! Wonderful food, reasonable wait time, and very clean. Have to mention that Dhaval was a great staff member! Made the experience even better as he showed us how to better cook the meet, helped resolves an issue with the bill, etc. Great place with wonderful staff. 10/10!

I came back because I won the Korean Restaurant Award in 2013. I ate at the Cambridge branch last year, and this time I made a reservation online near the rental house, so I ended up here. The service was average. There were only tableware for two people when four people were seated. I asked for more food many times, but it was not available after the meal was served. Are there too many diners? It doesn't look like it at first sight, and Korean barbecue cannot use strong fire, and can only fry the meat at low temperature. There is too much oil smoke, and the waiter came to turn off the oven for a few minutes... If the pork belly is not cooked well, it will have a chewy texture. After eating it, it feels like the name is too real.

Been here twice and the food hasn’t disappointed. Although it’s quite busy, the service has been excellent both times. Staff named Prasant was really kind. Will visit again for sure.

A very good Korean restaurant, especially for people who like spicy food. The portions are big and fulling, but the store was quite small.

A waitress named Ams served us today and she was amazing, one of the most polite and moral people i’ve ever met. She made my experience eating a lot better, I will be sure to come back

Really good food! A little confusing how to cook the food and eat it because we have never eaten Korean bbq before. But it still went well.

The quality of the beef was top notch cannot fault the taste , however the portion sizes are definitely are on the smaller side. We were still hungry after going for the beef selection. However, when we went to order more the management started saying they only allow a certain amount of time for each table to eat which wasn’t mentioned to us at any point even at the beginning when we asked the waiter if it would be ok to add more after the initial order so that aspect wasn’t great. Dhaval was fantastic though , great service and he was very knowledgeable about the menu.

Easy to book online. We were sat but then got moved to a different table. You order on your phone and cannot take off the service charge. One staff came and switched on our grill & put it on high (without giving us any instructions on using it). This was way before any of our meat arrived so it was just on for no reason. We didn’t realise how much it was smoking either so another member of staff came and switched it off and told us off saying that we should be keeping an eye on it (we weren’t the ones who switched it on, weren’t told what to do or how long the wait would be for the meat to go on the grill). Food is fine nothing special.

I've been eating pasta and bread for a long time, so I was thrilled to be able to eat white rice. The lunch set came with miso soup, and it had a nostalgic taste. If you are from Asia and feel tired from eating overseas, please come and visit us! You can feel safe even if you are alone. Thank you mani 😊

Very poor quality for the price, cuts of beef were tough, bland marinade. Stingy side dishes, soft tofu stew tasted like it was made with instant noodle broth. Overall not worth the price do not reccomend.

I went there with a friend to eat samgyeopsal! It's been a long time since I had samgyeopsal.It was very delicious and I had a great time. When ordering, you have to scan a QR code, but at that time, there was a problem that the store didn't have Wi-Fi and you couldn't order using your mobile phone. In the end, a staff member came and I was able to order verbally, but it would be great if the store had Wi-Fi for customers!

We arrived without a booking at Yori near Kings Cross station when the restaurant looked quite busy. The team worked together to see if they could give us a table. Luckily we got a table for 5 ppl as long as we could leave in an hour. Challenge accepted! The food was delicious and Shasha was a wonderful server. Thank you.

This is my 3rd time visiting- definitely my go to Korean restaurant Central. Exceptions service, fulfilling portions and amazing flavour. Special shout to the amazing server Shasha this is my third time with her and she is truly the best at what she does.
