Yori Staines in Spelthorne

We visited with family who live in Staines. The menu says the bbq specials at between £50 and £65 are for two people so we got two. We also had a couple of chicken dishes which came as starters at just under £20 each. They only had one of their two Korean beers and they are £8 a bottle! They didn’t have any tonic and so my partners G&T was off the cards and she had to have a £10 cocktail. Service was very average (although added to the bill at over £20). We had to constantly go to the back of the restaurant for things we needed and things we’d asked for and they forgot to bring (napkins, lettuce, more drinks etc). In fairness a waitress did bring an extra little bit of one of the appetisers we had liked and they did apologise on a couple of occasions. There was also an abnormally large (and noisy) table of about 12 to 16 blokes but in truth they weren’t demanding too much attention. The BBQ was pretty good but not exceptional with a selection of cuts of meat (and two prawns😂). In truth the beef platter with the starters would have been enough for four. At about £240 for four it was expensive for what it was and we wouldn’t go again.

I am quite unsatisfied with Yori Staines. We went there for a birthday celebration.I spent some time in South Korea and wanted to recall some of the wonderful cuisine. We used it years ago so travelled to Stain hoping for a nice treat. The food/meal resembles Korean cuisine. Prices are unreasonable. Our "light dinner cost was a wooping £56. (+10% service charge) 1xKorean pizza (Haemul Pa Jeon), 1xBulgogy BBQ, and 1xKimchi Jigae. We needed to buy lettuce (8 pieces for £3.50) and fresh sliced garlic (3.00) separately. If that wasn't enough, a small bottle of beer costs £7.90 each. Prices are beyond unreasonable!!. I was thrilled to learn that my tap water was free. The staff were quite polite. The owners of this restaurant, extremely greedy"! Left the restaurant like "I have been CONNED"" Big time! I will never ever use this place again.

This a place is great for a night out. I love their spicy seafood soft tofu soup. They have great beef rice in the hot stone bowel. I went their regularly with my husband.

Delicious food. Lovely and attentive service. Very pleasantly surprised to find this hidden gem in Staines. Really enjoyed a delicious Korean barbecue here & the service was wonderful. Jim was friendly, efficient & attentive.

Popped in for a quick lunch rather than the usual. Very quiet, but I guess it’s more popular in the evening. Good service, and tasty food - though given we were the only customers, it would have been nice for us to get our food at the same time - I got my rice and main 5 minutes apart. Would come again and try the BBQ in the evening.

Very nice all round. My fiancé is Korean, she says the food is authentic. I wouldn't know about the authenticity myself, with being English and never been to Korea but I say it was tasty! Very pleasant waiter who looked after us. Would definitely go again the next time we are in Staines.

Only ate korean food but not BBQ. Nice staff with average food and price. Environment also ok & spicy fried chicken was good.

After arriving to this restaurant, we were seated at the front of the restaurant near the entrance, we asked if we can be moved closer to the back as we had elderly grandparents but the staff refused and said those tables we're specifically reserved, this is hard to believe but we took what they said and sat at the front. After sitting down, I decided to visit the toilet to wash my hands, just as I left the table, I felt a sharp pain brushed across my kneel, then it started to sting. I saw a little rip in my jean, just above my knee but thought nothing off it. I went to the toilet and the stinging feeling felt abit more intense. I the inspected my knee and to my shock, I had a deep cut on my knee( see attached photo). I then went to the staff, showed them the photo and area of the table to where the injury occurred. No manager was on site and then couldn't help of offer me any assistance. To whomever read thos message, please contact me as the staff hasnt got a clue to how I can escalate. Thanks

What a fab little restaurant! Friend suggested we go here and really glad she did. We ordered various assorted Bibimbaps and some kimchi pancakes. All of the food was delicious and spiced really well. Service was efficient. Only thing I’d mention is the choice of beer could be better, but otherwise would come again and would certainly recommend.

Delicious, authentic korean food! Staines is lucky to have you 🙂 Everything was amazing, but I love the spicy beef soup , can't wait to try other dishes

It was a busy Saturday so the speed of service was slow but at most the staff was apologetic but the our bbq selection tray was worthy of the wait and our favourite yook gae jang was also fantastic. So happy they have a local branch and better than the one we visited in Covent Garden.
