Yori Korean Bbq in Brighton and Hove

This was my first time at korean BBQ and I'm genuinely impressed. The food was delicious and there was a variety of choices to pick from. Definitely a place to visit if you're a fan of meat and korean food. I do recommend to try the soju if you like alcohol. The restaurant has two floors and only upstairs has a BBQ area. Definitely a bit more pricey than general restaurants around Brighton but so worth the money.

No extractor fans means you and your clothes are going to smell heavily..... Criminal really considering the cost. But the service was fantastic and attentive. Food was fresh and well marinated. Overall an enjoyable Korean BBQ

Had a lovely dinner with a friend in the BBQ area, our waitress Zoe was very accommodating with my friends dietary requirements and went above and beyond to recommend us different drinks and cocktails to try to go well with the food :)

Had Korean BBQ for the first time here! Zoe was a lovely waitress and helped explain all the dishes for us. The bulgogi was super tender and flavorful and the cocktails Zoe recommended were nice and strong. They also did a really nice birthday song for our friend at the table. Great experience, would definitely come again with more friends!

The food was excellent as always! Our favourite Korean cuisine go to! Was served by Ed tonight who gave exceptional service, understanding cues and going out of his way to make us have a pleasant experience. I hope him and the rest of the staff are tipped well they're excellent at their jobs! Thanks so much :)

Not sure how it’s possible to serve bibimbap with cold rice . Food was not good , cold when supposed to be hot . Not a good experience and definitely would not recommend

Food ok, First time in a Korean restaurant, and a bit underwhelming, My main disappointment was the pricing. A £9.99 Lunch menu ended up being a £20 bill. While OK, high soft drinks price, added service charge, vat added after, all added to an underwhelming but over priced meal. the sides part of the £9.99 (but actually £15 once you added stealth prices) were some odd pickle sides, kind of left a soured taste just like the pricing.

Ed was a lovely waiter! Very helpful and kind, charged my friends phone for her and answered all questions about the BBQ grill!! Food was delicious and not heavy on the stomach at all, would recommend!!

Exceptional service and beautifully seasoned food. Ed’s service was great. I’d strongly recommend coming here, great quality food and very reasonably priced. I will be back again!

Dolsot bibimbap is the best!!!!

We came for dinner on Wednesday night and the food was really good! We ordered the bbq bulgogi, LA rib galbi, pajeon and Korean fried chicken and they were all amazing. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, the restaurant was super clean and easy to find. Highly recommend!!

My God! What a capitalist restaurant this is! It was as if I was sitting and eating in a restaurant made of gold! It's a rough password, slap it in the middle and don't wrap it in the slice, a powdered garlic slice and 🥵🦶 cost 3.5 fat, As a result, there were only three garlic slices and three chili flakes in one portion, and they could not be refilled. The lettuce is also 3.5. The fat man gave me four slices. If you are not a rich second generation, I advise you not to eat it. 4 sticks, you can’t eat it anymore.

We love Korean style bbq, kimchi, and pork set. The place is beautiful. I love the interior design. The atmosphere is great. I want to visit every week. I will definitely go back. It is sooo delicious. I love Asian food so much.

I ordered Japchae and Pork Bibimbap, but they forgot my Bibimbap🥲 I had to follow up on my order, so they gave me a free drink to apologize, but I still had to wait about 30 mins for my second dish. Overall, the food was delicious, and I absolutely loved the Japchae!

My first honey comb🍯🤤 Ed and Kealin were very nice and gave amazing customer service. They made me feel very welcomed! I recommend coming here for the food!

Poor experience here today, 5 of us ordered food with a drink, 3 drinks came to the table, after 10mins we had to ask for the other 2… 4 of the food dishes we’re brought to the table and the fifth never arrived, after waiting 15mins the last dish never came so a friend left and had to get food elsewhere!! Would not recommend this place!

ED and tatsuya were so lovely! Some of the best servers I’ve ever had! So friendly. And despite being understaffed made us feel like the only customers in the world! They were so sweet and kind!

I had an amazing time at Yori Korean celebrating my friend’s birthday. Edd and Tatsuya did an incredible job, providing the best service even though they were understaffed. They were attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect, which made the food and experience even more enjoyable. My friend had a fantastic time, and their efforts really made the celebration special. Highly recommend this place for both the food and the exceptional service!

Ed and Tatsuya were honestly some of the best servers I’ve ever had, if you’re a fan of bbq and Korean food you should definitely come here. Will be coming again.

I have no idea how this is so highly rated. You order on a QR code from your table (which isn't secure as you can still access the next person's order) but the service was terrible. The drinks didn't arrive ever. The kimichi was just fresh cucumber coated in a spicy sauce - and arrived after just as finished the main.

Tats, Ed & Harrison are legends. We came to Yori for our fourth visit and after we had been legally wed! They helped us enjoy our special day with their amazing service. We said this last time, but we're coming back again soon.

Yori is one of our favourite restaurants in Brighton. The servings are generous and the food taste really good. The staff are very accommodating and very helpful. We had Harrison earlier and his service was amazing! Only could do better with a bit more lighting I reckon? A bit more pricey now too, but can’t blame them because of the current inflation rate. Overall all we’ll definitely come back! Xx

We visited this Korean BBQ restaurant with a friend who had never tried it before, and our server, Harrison, was incredibly helpful and always had a smile on his face! We all highly recommend this spot; it was our first time down south, and we can confidently say it’s just as good as the ones in London. Plus, students enjoy a 10% discount!

The place for very quiet and had a lovely homely feel about it. Comfortable seating and the staff were very friendly and didn’t hesitate to help out when needed. Our server Harrison was a true gentleman. He was polite and courteous, quick to help out and kept us laughing throughout. I couldn’t recommend this place more. It’s the first time we have visited and we will definitely be returning. I don’t often write reviews but the service and food was so outstanding I couldn’t not! Harrison is a real asset to the restaurant. He assisted one of the group who had never been before with what sauces were what and which meats to pair them with. Explaining the whole KBBQ experience to him and taking the time to make sure everything was how it should be!

Had a great birthday lunchtime at Yori provided by the server Haui who was pleasantly informative about allergens for one of our guests and super inviting. Regarding the food and atmosphere, they were both really impressive especially considering the restaurant was understaffed when we visited. 10/10 we will be returning again

After looking for something different, my family and I stopped here for an evening meal. Welcomed by friendly staff, accommodating for changes to some dishes for my children, we were impressed from the start. Lovely food, arrived promptly and hot. Definitely will be returning.

The food was average, around a 6/10. However, the service was disappointing. My main dish arrived an hour after ordering, while my partner's starter and main were served and finished within that time. The overall cleanliness of the building, especially the toilets, was lacking too. I would recommend avoiding this place.

I found it by chance while passing by and came in, and it was really delicious :) I ordered pork bulgogi for lunch, and it came with rice, 3 kinds of side dishes, and soup, so I was able to eat a lot! Kealin is so sweet and kind💖 You are truly the best ㅠㅠㅠ Thank you💖💖💖

After years of visiting the Piccadilly branch of Yori, I am sorry to say that the service has gone downhill abruptly. There seem to be new bbq tables that leave little space to actually eat. The bbq wasn’t even plugged in, and when I mentioned it to the waiter he glared at me then just walked off. I had to ask 4 times for my drinks to be delivered, and everything was disorganised from the moment we got to the restaurant. It was a horrible experience, and after years of loving this place I will not be returning. The qr code and ordering system has also changed, it wasn’t working on my phone but to get a member of staff to help me was impossible. An absolute joke and a waste of time.

I've been twice & had the same waitress, she was great! The food was good! Quite salty indeed. Unfortunately I have a food poisoning just after the restaurant and my friend doesn't feel great either. So I will not come back.

I’ve ordered twice with Deliveroo, 2 different soups they were both delicious, not big soup portions but delicious. Also order white rice and a kimchi portion. Again delicious. Will order again. I haven’t yet eaten at the venue so can’t rate service nor atmosphere

I enjoyed a delicious meal here at YORI Brighton for my daughter’s entrance into University. The Kimchi fried rice was delectable! We were especially delighted with the kindness and thoughtfulness shown by our server, Jade. She made our night! Servers everywhere could learn from her brightness and professionalism. We cannot wait to dine here again!

I loved the cold noodles, portion was huge, but the broth would taste better if egg was on a separate plate. Udon were good, although too salty. Mandu and all the other food was great.

Food is impeccable at a very reasonable price, service is so lovely i reserved a table for 11 and unlike other restaurants they confirmed my booking in under 10min, no deposit no anything. Definitely my favourite Korean restaurant in Brighton

Ever seen service with a smile? Well you’ll definitely get it with the staff we had tonight!! Came in for some Soju and ended up leaving with a full belly. Special mention to Jade for being a lovely bartender/waitress!!

Very poor service.They do not explain or treat everyone equally.I felt like they treated us like we were eating for free when everything was so overpriced.They did not tell us where to order, did not bring cutlery and when i went to get seasonings because they did not bring any they made very rude gestures.My first experience in a korean joint and i was looking forward but i was very disappointed.

This was my first time seeing a waiter on my 5th trip to the UK who asked me to pay the service fee directly in cash. There is no tipping culture in the UK, and some places charge an additional service charge, but this is my first time seeing a waiter so shameless. The person ordering the meal said he didn't want to get into trouble so I paid cash and left, and although the food wasn't that good, it was an absurd experience... A night when I wanted to eat bibi and room temperature kimchi.

Awful. All ordered online, no service at all. Waiter barely spoke English. We messed up the whole order. Nothing was explained to us. Do not go. Food was ok for the three of us that the food turned up for. Other two of us ate nothing. Tesco meal deal was our dinner

Not one we would recommend, but maybe we were just “unlucky”. Ordered 5 dishes at the same time. Took 1 hour between we got the first and the last dish, after we also had to ask for the last one. None of the dishes came at the same time, and the last dish was also cold, which is weird when the waiter said it was “in the making” four minutes before we got it. No service other than showing us our table, and removing “service fee” from the bill since the last dish “took some time”.
