The food here was edible, but really bland. I ordered the spicy sweet fried chicken. It was basically the same thing I could get from the Chinese takeaway, except they call it sweet and sour chicken there and it’s half the price! No spice and nothing Korean about it except the minuscule amount of kimchi it was served with. Definitely wouldn’t bother.

Came here with a mate. The chicken was AMAZING and the portion size was surprisingly decent. Would definitely come here again.

We tried various dishes from three other food stalls in Kommune and the fried chicken and chips from Yoki was by far the best. We had the lunch menu. £8.50 for 7 large pieces of fried chicken thigh and chips. A generous deal for one, as we shared. The chicken was succulent, crispy and airy even after being coated in sweet and spicy sauce. We were also pleasantly surprised by the chips, nicely salted with (what we believe was) seaweed. We would definitely return to Sheffield just to eat more fried chicken and chips from Yoki.

Twice my husband and I have eaten here and twice we have both been sick shortly after... we had the honey garlic chicken and rice- the rice was sticky bland and tasteless... first off they charged a more expensive price as to what was listed on their menu, the food comes out 45 minutes later even though they really didn’t have much custom. I would avoid eating here at all costs unless you want to be ill for a day after.

Good atmosphere at the Kommune and it's nice that you can go here with friends and all have different stuff. I was hoping there would be Japanese food but there wasn't so I had Korean from Yoki. The food was okay but a bit pricey for what it was. If I go to Kommune again I will try a different venue, although I do think the Cutlery Works is a better foodhall.

If you want to try out authentic yummy home-cooked Korean food, Yoki is definitely the place. My husband and I are foodies and we always look for up and coming new restaurants in Sheffield and Yoki is just that perfect addition to the existing food community. Our favourite dish was the spicy pork; the flavour was spot on and being a picky Asian, the white rice was cooked just right. The KFC chicken was yummy and it came with tangy sauce with a little spicy kick. Bulgogi beef was nice with a nice sprinkle of sesame seeds, that little something that brought back memory of the Far East. Mandu was quite a treat and it reminded me of childhood gyoza and it came with a more delicate soy dipping sauce. All in all, a little gem in Kommune. Very honest flavour and quality. Will definitely return!

I have been here twice. The first time I had stir-fried pork with chili sauce, this was OK but quite a bit drier than I've experienced at other Korean restaurants and with no strong flavour from the gochugang chili sauce that it's supposed to have. The second time I had bulgogi beef and this was terrible, it's supposed to be marinated beef cooked very quickly on a grill or griddle, with a strong flavour from the singed marinade on the outside of the meat. Instead it looked and felt like it had been warmed up briefly at far too low a heat while the flavour of the meat was so bland as to be virtually tasteless. There's one older guy here who appears to be a) the boss and b) someone who knows what he's doing, the rest of the staff are young, probably from Korean students at the Uni, and have no idea what they're doing.

Extremely disappointed by your MUCH SMALLER portions of food at Kommune compared to the portions in the beginning. Also, you have stopped providing salad with your meals for customers ordering before 5pm. WTF? What is that about? You became popular because of your excellent product and you have really deteriorated over the last few months. I was a loyal customer but now I am not planning to visit again.

We decided to go check out Kommune, the new food court in the old Castle House building in the city centre. We wasn't really sure what type of food we wanted, we just knew we were hungry and it had to be nice! After much deliberation we decided on Yoki. We got KFC (Korean Fried Chicken), some sticky rice and a beef stir fry sort of thing. There food was great, good service and value for money (not expensive either). I would highly recommend and would definitely go back.

Thoroughly enjoyed our previous visit so visited again. All tried the korean fried chicken dish and unfortunately we were all unimpressed. It's not that we think the chicken was undercooked, it just did not taste or look right... it was darker than expected and a strange texture. We did not finish the dish and it has really put us off going again. Also no hand soap in the toilet. Sorry Yoki!! Enjoyed the coffee and the staff were lovely.

We popped into Crookes for some lunch and this place was a lovely surprise! The decor is lovely, it has a very trendy but calm ambience. The owners are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We ordered the beef bulgogi on sour dough toast and the beef bulgogi steamed buns. Both had the most delicious flavours- far better flavour than those we've tried at 'street food' events/food markets around Sheffield from other places. The food is well presented. We couldn't resist trying a pastry for dessert, which was so tasty. We also enjoyed iced latte and breakfast tea. Even the tap water is well presented with lemon, lime and sprigs of thyme. The owners are lovely too! I really hope Yoki Sheffield does well!

I’ve been twice and I can’t wait to go again. The staff are so friendly, the decor is beautiful and the food... it’s honestly some of the best I’ve had. The food is made fresh and they’re always switching up the menu.

Big fan of Korean flavours and they seem to be getting quite popular, at least here in Sheffield lately. Was walking past, saw this place and decided to give it a try once I knew they had vegan options. The presentation and colours on the fried tofu salad were pretty special and show a level of attention to detail that took me back to eating out in Asia. The flavours were amazing as well. I was impressed and will definitely return and recommend this place.

We ordered food. Arrived late. We ordered the three roasties which should contain duck. Instead they sent chicken which was raw. Really disappointed. Won’t order again.

Lovely meal this evening. The lads working really looked after us, and even came to find us when we’d left the restaurant when my son left his take out. Food was spot on, service was excellent and a very enjoyable dining experience.
