Not very good value for money IMO, I understand inflation hit everyone but the prices of things like rice or chicken katsu were ridiculous for such small portions. Drinks very expensive too... there are other options around with a better value for money

Visited Y0! for a bite to eat on a whim. Food was lovely...needed to order in person and despite being very quiet the service was initially very slow but improved later. As a side note it was a shame to hear that it will be closing (due to the works at the Oracle). Hope they find new premises soon.

Such a great place to eat, pity it has to close because The Oracle won't renew their lease...

the Chicken Katsu was a true masterpiece. The chicken cutlet was expertly breaded and fried to perfection, resulting in a crispy, golden exterior that gave way to tender, juicy meat on the inside. The balance of textures was exquisite, and the flavors were simply divine.

The belt is open again! Good times. Food as enjoyable as ever, but I've missed the belt as part of the experience.

Amazing food, helpful staff, aesthetic location

Wouldn't usually leave a review for a chain but Will who was our waiter and host was so lovely, welcoming and accommodating that my group thought we should mention him in a review. Brightened our day after a stressful commute 👌

Big fan of their katsu curry. Pretty chilled atmosphere. Worth a try

Love the belt concept, although it's easy to spent more than what you want. But it's an experience. Food is good and service is friendly. Will return.

First time I had been to one of these. Staff were cleaning the restaurant around us as we were eating, and not really bothering to serve us. The food wasn't that great either

overpriced, sneaky service charge added to bill. Food was ok but nothing special. Il skip next time for sure.

Sushi was warm at it had been going round for ages. The pickles had been on the tables for days, dried down the side of the cracked pot. Sushi pots - didn’t look very clean at all. Friendly staff. Wouldn’t return again.

Excellent and plentiful fresh soup and main course. Got the Miso Soup as a starter which is absolutely cracking. For the main course I got the Chargrilled ‘steak’ Teriyaki. Plenty of 'steak', maybe even too much. I would have preferred to get quite a bit more 'crunchy slaw' instead and more chilli as that was very limited as well, hence only 4 stars -) The Custard Dorayaki was utterly disappointing, dry and boring... - one bite and straight to the bin. Total price is very affordable compared to similar options in the Reading area, def recommended

Had a really nice experience here. Staff were lovely and the food was great value and delicious! I would like to pay special tribute to one staff member in particular who made me and my partner feel welcome. I can't recall his name, but he had long wavy hair and a beard. Customer service was excellent and he went above and beyond to explain the process and always had a smile on his face despite how busy he seemed.

Shame the conveyor is not running the same as pre covid but good yo sushi!

Delicious lunch, I come here often and never been disappointed, good food and chill atmosphere.

Personally I love tuna tataki. I come here always with my kids, is a very nice place and they like everything on the menu!

We came with the family for a simple lunch. They’ve changed their ordering system and seemed to have zapped the soul and personality out of their team in the process. We had the misfortune of meeting Kevin (he said he was the manager) who was clearly upset to be working there, disgusted at having to speak with customers and focused on reminding us that they’re busy and if we’re unhappy we should leave. We left, considered going to Osaka (great Japanese place with happy staff) but ended up in the greatest place on earth… Nandos

Every dish had i would say some not so good aroma, pungent taste. The one at LHR is superb though but not the one at the Oracle HOF. Also a confusing offer on Mother's day

Love the sushi in Yo and service always good. It was quite cold in January in the restaurant so my only issue that sitting in jacket in the restaurant is not too comfortable. 🙃

If you’re a fan of sushi, THIS PLACE IS A MUST VISIT. When i entered, I was welcomed with a friendly greeting by the staff and the sushi was top-notch. I’m not a usually fan of salmon sushi but their salmon sushi was exceptional. The atmosphere was really nice to eat in as well. I definitely recommend this place and would 100% come again!!

It was my first time visiting today and I loved everything about my visit! The dynamite roll was delicious also came out very fast. The Cheese yo-nut was great as well I loved having sushi as well as hot food for my lunch. We also tried pumpkin Katsu curry instead of chicken and it’s my new favourite. Would definitely return to try more of the menu!

A little sterile as a restaurant but food was served quickly and the conveyor system worked perfectly - except when someone hadn't read the memo on how the light system worked and nabbed one of my dishes. Swiftly resolved by the excellent server, who also gave me the chance to show my chopstick prowess. On seeing I am a complete spanner with them, he got me a fork! Top man! Only complaint would be portion sizes, the thick cut sashimi was anything but and at nearly £7 not good value.

Just awful. Far deviation from the standards… sushi looks like off shelf yellow label products from next door retailer. Avoid.

Good place to eat with different kinds of food and very friendly staff

Sadly, I don’t think I will ever visit this Yo-Sushi again. What’s happened to it? Use to be a favourite snack place. Maybe it’s because I wasn’t feeling great when I walked in. I already remember this staff from a previous visit. I had told the staff the miso was way too salty. Unpleasantly i was told, it’s the way the machine is set we can’t change it and shoo’d away. So ok, today I won’t order the miso, it’s no problem. Does it seem that no one wants to run a restaurant the way it used to be? You know,.. Order, food arrives, pay and leave a tip if happy. This place seemed to push for everything to be ordered through the app. At that point I let others at the table do the ordering as I wasn’t feeling well. Finally staff finishes taking the order, and the staff asks for payment in advance. Really? quite feeling uncomfortable now, do we look like we won’t pay? Anyway, I offer to pay for everyone as my treat but the staff refuses to take the cash I offer her. I’m trying to remain pleasant and polite but this seems to be almost wrong way to treat people, almost a little offensive? So to calm down I walk to the toilets to avoid being annoyed and perhaps I can rejoin the table in a better mood later. When I came back having cleared my head, I didn’t feel comfortable or happy. (We go to restaurants to enjoy it, right? Its fun times.) I wasn’t enjoying any of this so I asked to remove my items from the order and left the table. I walked out. Apologies if any of this seems to be my fault and maybe it’s me, I’m in the wrong possibly. I’m still quite sure, No way will I visit this place again.

If I had seen seen the state of the toilets with pooh over the seat and toilet roll holder the door, we would never have eaten here. I have never seen such a mess if this was a bar it would be shut down. How do restaurants get away with this. Please feel free to contact me Yo management

Been a few times same experiance each time go for food Arrived 11.30 outside door said closed went inside through house of fraser and told them staff said door opened not the point sign said closed .Anyway ordered food no offer of ginger ,wasabi, we asked to split bill in two said no the food is good and chef staff obviously good but front of hse service does not exsist misu soup refills not offered had to get up twice to ask then up to ask for ginger and wasabi basically self service for the price not good.Shame as food nice but if eating in expect some service 2 males working one sat down eating other on phone avoiding eye contact.not only that freezing kept coat on better service in mac donalds .Not sure ill continue going as made to feel a nuisance shame

Not the same without food on the belt to choose from or the call buttons.

The rice was stale and you basically need a microscope to see the salmon in the maki! Sashimi was bland. Massively disappointing!

Food was absolutely disgusting. Ordered the Yo Sushi roll set and the rice was very damp and mushy. Seaweed wrap was so stale and limp that you can't really tell if it is seaweed anymore. Definitely the WORST sushi I have ever had IN MY LIFE and I have sushi every week. The restaurant has the audacity to charge that price? What a joke.

Not what it used to be. I like to see what i buy and its all to casual now. Not a lot of special occasion wear anymore

Lost a lot of the fun since you can't watch the good in the same way.... Ordering now requires multiple payments or one large order to start...

Everything was tasty and staff are friendly and attentive. Only downside is that choice of sushi/sashimi is very limited. No octopus, no cuttlefish, no clam, just tuna and salmon. Sort of a fast food sushi restaurant. But, I'll say again all that was served was delicious, just limited.

Delicious sushi and hot food here. Drinks options are a bit limited and cost can add up as some of the dishes are quite small, but quality if the food is very good.

Friendly staff, amazing food, chicken fried rice and seafood ramen are our favourites so far. Highly recommend!!

Staff were rude, food was mediocre and my previous review has disappeared? Were good a few months ago but no more. Other diners were placed next to us despite the restaurant being empty and staff acted like they were closing soon despite not closing for another 5 others. Completely disheartened and won't be returning

Usually a treat but really didn't like the new system here. Made ordering food a pain. Hardly anything of interest available gluten-free either and the allergen menu isn't clear enough when comes to the ordering. Lost the water on the tables and the high chair we were given was falling apart and heavily worn Doubt I'll be back any time soon

I love the old experience here and the food is amazing but I really miss the old experience of just picking it off the belt.

Great food, service is now by app and belt this is a change from when I last visited before COVID. That being said it adds efficacy while not taking away the personal touch as there are still people there when/if there is an issue. Good service great food...

Ordered YO! Sushi because I usually love it there. But today I was delivered sushi with an alive fly inside the sealed meal box. Although disappointed a full refund was given. Just remember to check what you're eating.

Yo used to be such a great place to eat but the new ordering system is extremely frustrating and the food very overpriced. Probably the last visit I will make. Sad!

Over priced and the speed of the train and it's content not so good. Way too fast. Not enough food selection between bursts of speed.

Quality of food specially the hot items have dropped only Sushi is still good. The new system of ordering also makes the experience not so great.

This review is purely about hygiene of this branch. Entering from outside there are small steps on your left..look, you will see plenty of cobwebs on the rails... down the steps there are big huge long windows that stretches to the end of the room... the whole stretch had dead flies of all sorts on the ledge... 🤢🤢🤢lovely!! Hate to imagine what the kitchen is like!! 😱

Very basic wine selection, food isn't cheap, and you do everything through the website, so service is good, but limited interactions, but food is good. Would visit again. No different to any other Yo.

Not been to yo sushi since pre covid. Didn’t like the ordering system even though I realise it’s most likely due to covid that they can’t just have food going round that anyone can take. The table was dirty and it was quiet so there was no excuse, the cup for my drink wasn’t particularly clean either. The popcorn shrimp is not as good as it used to be sadly and is pricey for what it is. Yakisoba and katsu were good. Didn’t like being disturbed mid eating to be asked to leave a review and I automatically got charged for service charge but my only interactions with staff were for sitting me at a table and being asked to leave a review. It was all around mediocre, won’t be coming back any time soon

One of my favourite sushi places - their vegetarian options are actually cool and creative rather than seeming accidental. I always stop by if I'm in town.

Fast and friendly service with good selection of sushi. Only 4 stars as miso soup was extremely salty and while I appreciate the freshness of ingredients and location, I still left feeling it was a little overpriced for what we had.

Had a wonderful time having dinner here with friends. The staff were incredible, fast with service and incredibly friendly. We had a waitress called Pia helping as out, and she made our experience as comfortable as possible. Will definitely be coming back.
