Sea Master Fish and Chips in Reading

As always top shelf!!! My fish bites extremely juicy, full of taste and buttered as it should be. the best fish I had for the past 10 years.

Ordered from Seamaster a few times now and it’s always been good ..

I live in Tilehurst quite close to a fish and chip shop but I don't go there for my fish and chips. I prefer to travel here to pick up. The service is very efficient with cooks constantly topping up the supplies from behind with the friendly girls on the counter then serving you. I knocked a couple of stars because it can get busy at times with lots and lots of collection drivers coming to pick up their orders. If you felt like sitting in there and eating your fish and chips they'd even got tables

The food was cold as it took a long time to get to us, it was swimming in grease!!! Literally dripping off the fish and all the paper was soaking in it!! Not nice!! We had to reheat everything. This time not impressed! Last time lots of bones!

The food was delicious but it was cold I don’t think the delivery person kept it in insulated bag but the food was good quality I like that it was in paper so much nicer than Palestine boxes

I bought fish and chips I asked for large fish and small chips I was given a small fish which was very crispy batter fish the fish was very dry to much chewy fish it was not fresh as the fish has been in the range for more than 30 min I called the shop and spoke to a guy explained him I was not happy with the service and the food. He recommended that I come back to the shop and take another fish I travelled all the way from caversham to the shop to expect a fresh large fish which I paid £12.50 when u went there I spoke to the man and said I have come to collect the fish and he was very rude arrogant and said to to the staff give her the fish from the range. He never offerd to cook me a fresh fish and apologise very appuling behaviour Rude staff. Avoid going here the quality of the fish is gone down hill which use to be very tasty fresh fish. Don't pay this price if can't get fresh food don't go here. I used to be regular customer not going her ever again not after today experience and disgusting behaviour so rude. Have youngsters working there should have fresh food

The fish was very hard and cold called up to complain the guy was very rude I was a regular customer so disappointed and service and product quality not fresh cod at all hard and chewy.

Driver was rude whilst texting me not happy with his attitude, he complained that he couldn't find my location, but it's on my app and I have a delivery once a weeknone of the other drivers complained before very angry

Lovely chippy - nice thick chips and not too greasy. The sausage in batter and saveloy were great and super fresh! Curry sauce was also tasty. Very good value for money - this was half a large portion of chips!

I was surprised by knock at door as they were 10min early.

Driver has clearly opened the food, the amount of chips etc is barely worth it. Delivery has taken nearly an hour while the driver has parked at the pub on the map. This is such bad service and food is stone cold!!!! Disgusted with the delivery

No vegetarian kids meals. One very disappointed child.

Used to be good but on the last two occasions the chips have had bits of grit/soil/stones mixed in with them, you are supposed to wash the potatoes after peeling them not just chuck them straight in the fryer!

Food very good delivery quick and good

Although the order was delivered well. I had left my door slightly ajar for my cat. The driver pushed the door open and stepped inside. This made me feel uncomfortable.

Missing portion of chips that we paid almost £5 for. No answer from restaurant after 5 attempts of ringing them.

went in there and ordered chips, they bagged them up within like 20secs. I asked them before leaving, are these fresh as that was supper quick and he said yes, got home and realised that they weren't as hot as he claimed and my suspension on them not being fresh was 100% correct. Its the lying to your customer and providing a poor merchandise that made me write this. Hope that £3.40 you charged me was worth it.

Best fish and chips I’ve had in Reading . Freshly served with tasty cod and non greasy chips, the portions are amazingly big, even the child menu is large. Nicely seasoned and chest chips are worth the wait. Packaged in recyclable paper and bags.

Outstanding. Great service, impressive food, good value. We moved 5 miles away and still make the journey to eat in as Sea Master really is worth the trip. I've just tried their chicken, honestly the best chip shop chicken I've eaten for years. Restaurant seating available. The staff are excellent, friendly and professional. Seriously, the best chip shop for miles. The chicken bites are wonderful. Don't forget to ask for a plate of scraps, those bits of crispy batter are that good.

Ordered a haddock via Deliveroo. Normal convention and the fact they were charging the absurd price of £8.40 made me believe that chips were included - only for me to find out they were not.

Just ordered through deliveroo food was still piping hot and tasted amazing will be ordering again the pic is of my mums kids meal she doesn't eat a lot 😂

A fab place, rare as got indoor seating plus some good parks & benches in walking distance to eat your delicious fresh fish outdoors. Always friendly service with a smile. Large selection. Been a favourite for over 15 yrs

Accidentally ordered to the wrong address. Turns out there’s no possible way to change your address once the orders been made. Can’t even message the driver

Chicken was great, Some of the best I’ve had from a chip shop, Chips were disappointing.

I have been a customer of Sea Masters for quite some time. Between 2010 and 2012, my family often purchased meals there.. fish & chips, onion rings, scampi, Cod roe etc. We moved further away and it is just over the last year that I have returned to purchase meals again. The food is quite good and reasonably priced, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Give them a try!

Ordered the food at 17:40 with an arrival time of 18:10 to 18:30. Food delivered at 18:36 but main issue is that the delivery driver did not come to the house directly but drove completely the other way. I have a photo of the location of the driver mid delivery north west of the chip shop and we live south east of the chip shop. If your team do multiple drop offs then please let us know. As a result the chips were overly soggy and some inedible.

Saveloy was overcooked on the outside and undercooked and cold in the middle.. disgusting!

My son had food from here recently and it was nice so we decided to try it as a family, even though it was further to travel than our local chip shop. Unfortunately we were really disappointed with our food on Sunday, we ordered fish and chips, sausage and chips and 2 x battered sausage and chips. The amount of chips that came with the fish was tiny, it was like a kids portion. We ended up having to pop out to the chip shop closer to us for an extra portion of chips as we didn't have enough chips for everyone! Those chips were far better and we wished we'd just got our meals from there. My mum ate two bites of her sausage and left it as she didn't like the taste. The battered sausages had hardly any batter, you could see most of the sausage. The fish was ok. Chips weren't the best, they were pale and soft and potions were small, they were much better the previous time when my son had them. Really not impressed, we won't be returning. (Unfortunately forgot to take photos with having to rush out and buy more chips).

They called me to change my drink order as they had ran out of my preferred choice. My food was delivered and my name was on the receipt but I ordered one medium cod and a large cheesy chips and I got 2 cod and a medium chips. It was nice though and I wasn't going to waste food sending it back. Delivered on time and tasty

Chips were undercooked, daughter was disappointed in the chicken nuggets & most of the chips were binned.

let down by the fact the driver didn't follow the instructions I left on the delivery note, as a result My upstairs neighbour got their hands on it and are denying they took it. so thank you driver.

Bought some food .a guy came in after me ordered only a takeaway chips . whilst waiting for 15 mins the young girl handed over my order and he grabbed and legged it .I then asked the girl what the order was she then realized she gave him my order .there wasn't much of an apology.then I asked for salt and vinegar.but only a small drizzle of vinegar she gave me .terrible service.
