Made a lunch reservation yesterday for family of 4. Food was great. However it was terrible service. Clearly short staffed. Customers waiting at entrance for a very long time and not being acknowledged by staff members (just say we are busy and be with you in a moment - it’s not hard - and it was not busy). Tables not being cleared. Extremely dirty floors under tables. Had to kick the kick the chop sticks and old food under the seat to prevent my children stepping on them. Door left open constantly in freezing conditions so we all sat in our hats and jackets. No check back given on food. Only offered one drink at the start. The staff were polite and these issues are down to poor management.

Really not good. Went in for lunch on a Sunday. Started with the carousel plates - the edamame tasted like it had been left in the fridge too long and was inedible. My daughter ordered a chicken katsu - it was hot and pretty tasty. I ordered beef teriyaki which didn't arrive until I spoke to our server as had been waiting quite a while. When it did arrive, the taste of burnt beef was overwhelming - also inedible. We had a cotton candy cheesecake, which also tasted like it had been left in the fridge. I didn't dare eat any sushi. We were seated next to a stack of white bowls that were absolutely filthy like food had been splashed over them and opposite the sink with a filthy clear splashback - watching kitchen equipment not being washed properly. It was really really disappointing. Fortunately, our server deducted the beef and edamame after I complained. Will not return. £60 for two people in total in the end.

Back after a while, city centre and all restaurants super busy with Christmas crowd, Yo didn’t have a Q so popped in for a quick bite. Has really gone down, service was iffy … food expensive for passable food. Ate mostly from the carousel + ordered seafood ramen which was missing the egg (they ran out of eggs!! At 1PM!) over spiced / salty. Very disappointing - 75 quid for 2 with only tap water and 7 plates! won’t be back.

Music too loud, server too quiet. A box of chopped spring onions left out and uncovered by the belt where there were two girls flicking their hair. Food ordered but wrong thing brought and then charged for the wrong thing, my husband POINTED to the thing he wanted because the server couldn't hear him due to the music being so loud, but still the wrong food was brought, no apology, no offer to fix it. Shocking.

There are various ways to order to control the cost . We decided as it was a long awaited treat to try items on the conveyor belt - fresh, tasty, totally yum. I tried items that looked good and I can honestly say I loved it all. We did order gyros- I think I would have preferred steamed rather than fried but they still tasted good. I would suggest booking as it can get really busy - there are deals to be had throughout the week along with student discount. Yo yum yo

We came for the bottomless belt deal on Thursday evening, and overall were left feeling disappointed with it. When we sat down there was a lot of selection and variety on the belt, and we were initially hopeful, however after about 15-20 mins, it was clear that all the variety had been picked up by us and the others dining, and the only thing left was about 3 dishes on rotation that nobody wanted. There was no restocking of the things that had been eaten at all. We had to ask for wasabi and ginger because there wasn't any provided, which is odd as they are a staple of sushi, and we didn't realise we could order hot dishes (but couldn't order cold belt dishes!) until about 15 minutes before our hour was up. Dessert was also weird where there was some variety early on in the first 10 minutes, and then nothing after. We had to ask a waiter, who then asked the chef to put some desserts out, who seemed less than pleased at the thought of actually having to prepare some food for the diners. Overall I don't think we're coming back to do it again, Sushimania does bottomless sushi for cheaper, with better variety, and a friendlier atmosphere. There's no selling points to put this above it at all.

I usually love this place but the service was in total breakdown this Sunday afternoon. Half the restaurant empty, yet a 20 minute wait to be seated and a long queue. We braved it and went back... This time I had finished my Teriyaki whilst my wife had to wait another 20 minutes for her hot food as it was stuck behind a load of Deliveroo orders. Seems that things are not much better. The call buttons are gone, as is the Kirin beer! It was also £70 for lunch for two.

What a rubbish place to visit. We asked for a table for three our server pointed and said you can sit on that one. He then walked over with two menus leaving one of us to photo the menu on his phone. After 5 mins we called him over to ask if he could wipe the dirty table. He wiped the dirty spot in the middle of table and left the rest as it was . After another 5 mins we called him over again to ask if we might order some drinks. After taking a couple of dishes of the belt, I ask the chef if we order a dish. He explained that we need to do this with the server. The chef watched us for a few mins as we were trying to attract the attention of a server. Realising our frustration, the chef himself had to ask the server to come to our table. Food was okay, nothing to write home about, but the service at this place was absolute rubbish. If this place has a manager or someone to train staff, they need to be fired. The standard of service at this place is appalling. Do yourself a favour and go to another restaurant.

It’s a shame as we really enjoyed the food this month but all spoilt by a member of staff who nits and picks who she wanted to check on. Non of the staff checked on us despite of very very expensive food we had so far in MK. This tall staff i think is the supervisor as all we can hear from her was do this do that to one single employee as after that she was laughing with another staff. These employees shouldn’t be working in a place like this or needs retraining as Yo sushi doesn’f deserved the hard earned money that we customers pay. We wont come back maybe in a decade again as i now remembered why we stopped coming from 15 years ago.

Had lunch here on a Tuesday, had to wait outside for about 20 minutes before a vacant table was free. I think if you arrive after 3pm then you can grab a table straight away. 2 for 1 on Large Katsu Curry meal deal on Tuesday. Opted for chicken for myself and pumpkin for my partner who is vegan. Food was delicious, freshly cooked and very filling. Also had green tea though no table service to have it refilled.

Not eaten here for a few years and this evening reminded me as to why. Inattentive staff... didn't come to our table to take an order or check on us without prompting. Food was mediocre, tasteless and overpriced. Noodles especially were very poor. Dishes going round on conveyor were bland and repetitive. I don't see this chain lasting much longer if this is the level of quality.

Generally a rip off. Food is over priced and consists of small portions. Dried up cold squid, cod tempura hand roll full of rice and one small cold piece of cod. Some of the sushi good though. Generally the standard of food has declined over the years, doesn’t taste fresh and is massively over priced. The girl working in the servery at Milton Keynes does deserve a shout out for being so friendly and pleasant.

Me and my partner always enjoy coming to Yo sushi, unfortunately the service went downhill in recent months. Server ignored us when asked we want to order. We appreciated when one of kitchen staff, that was on lunch break, saw us waiting and took our order. There were two servers that day and neither of them came back asking if we need anything, although they seem more attentive to other tables. Taking in consideration that wasn’t busy, front of house staff weren’t bothered. Food and kitchen staff as always 5⭐️

We went here earlier this evening and left feeling very disappointed. The service left much to be desired, and we had to ask several times for water. We were never received the wasabi and ginger requested after asking 3 different staff members. To top it off, the restaurant was extremely quiet, so this could not even be chalked up to overwhelmed staff. The sushi was ok, and our rice came out warm instead of hot. I normally really enjoy YoSushi, but I won’t be coming back to this one anytime soon.

Seemed really quiet and closed off. When asking for a takeaway order the guy was very rude when I mentioned my allergies and dismissed me saying I basically shouldn’t buy food because it would be ‘just noodles’. No attempt to accommodate or listen to me and wasn’t even busy to justify his attitude. Finally spoke to a manager and had to get it re-cooked by a different chef as the food I was given still had things in it that I would be allergic to even though I spoke to the server and the chef twice to confirm what they would be cooking. Spent half an hour here just trying to get my food cooked correctly.

Reception area is crowded and looks like an afterthought, stood in a tight walkway. Tables are only available if reserved otherwise seating is at the suschi carousel. The once helpful phone app has been discontinued - sigh. Service is slow but staff are friendly and pleasant. Food is passed to you by the waiter stretching over the suschi carousel if you're sat at a table. The place is crying out for an ergonomic redesign. Food is generally ok. The standout dish is Katsu curry with great sticky rice and has some great Japanes lagers- Asahi etc.

Firstly the toilets were beyond disgusting I later visited a soft play which was cleaner than this place. The smell was bad the light were broken in the women cubicle that wasn’t clogged with poop & paper. Once seated took 15 mins for someone to come to us but we had to call them over then we made an enquiry about an ingredient and never came back we had to ask someone else. Even they came back with the nutritional information and not ingredients. And asking for some slices of avo and cucumber for my 10 month old I was looked at like I asked for a kidney they simply didn’t understand. Eventually we got two slices of each. The overall service was shocking the place wasn’t clean and the high could do with a good clean. Usually I rate Yo! But this was shocking.

Absolutely the worst Sushi I have ever eaten. Quality was far worse than pre-packaged store brought Sushi. The food arrived warm without any Soy sauce or Washbi. The colour and smell of both the salmon and the tuna clearly indicated it was well passed fresh. I really would avoid buying anything from Yo Sushi.

Don’t get me wrong The food was great but they added a service charge onto our bill without informing us . I’m all for paying a service charge if they actually have to serve us but we ordered everything online via the website and probably spoke no more than 5 words to the server . The sever could have at least told me that he had added the service charge so I could have removed it .

After sitting down, a kid threw up by our table, the parents had to help clean it up and the staff eventually got a mop and some disinfectant after being prompted by us. Starters took a long time to come out and were pretty cold suggesting they'd been ready but the waiting staff hadn't bothered to bring them over - we told the staff, they didn't care no replacement offered. We ordered large plates and some sides for our main course only some of which arrived. When we asked how long the missing dishes would be after about 10mins we were informed that they were just making it now, what arrived was not as described on the menu and was missing several ingredients - told the manager, he called the chef over... Chef tells us we are wrong and argues that the dish doesn't come with these ingredients until we show him ON THE MENU....we left at this point, didn't pay, won't be going back.

Disappointing Experience at YO! Sushi: The quality of the sushi fell short, and the prices didn't match up. Additionally, the unclean bar area affected the overall visit. I'll be making sushi at home and seeking out cleaner, higher-quality alternatives! I recently dined at The Bistro for a friend's birthday, and it was an absolute delight. The ambiance was charming, the service was impeccable, and the food was exceptional. The chef's special, in particular, was a standout dish that left everyone at the table thoroughly impressed. I highly recommend The Bistro for anyone looking for a top-notch dining experience.

Yo! Has been a solid favourite of mine for many years, so the quality was no surprise! I've been staying in hospital a lot lately, and the vegan options here are severely lacking (inedible), so having this service with some very good local businesses doing good options is a tummy saver! I just wish there was a spoon with the miso soup! JE have a no plastic cutlery policy, but there must be a way of getting adequate spins out for the miso soup!

I like Yo sushi, but not this branch. I’ve had bad service on multiple occasions. Upon walking in I asked for a table for 2. The waitress told me to wait a moment while she served the customers who were already seated. I mean surely she should have seated us first so we can browse the menu rather than make us stand and wait to be seated (it was only 1 customer seated). After a few minutes wait she turned around and said it will be another 30 minutes wait as they ran out of rice. This was around 6-6.30pm. Did not decide to stay and had a brilliant Nando’s instead. On another occasion while I was a student, I had put my hand up for the bill, the waiter appeared agitated and said to wait as they needed to serve another customer. Typically waiters would still listen to the customer despite on the way to do something else. He appeared frustrated that I had my unidays student discount and was generally an unwelcoming experience (this was about 5 years ago). You guys really need to train staff on customer service and deal with the frustrations they are facing at work as it does affect customer experience. I’ve not had any problems at any other Yo sushi branch - Ashford Kent, Stratford Westfield, Bluewater Kent, Bristol, have been super enjoyable to eat at, but Milton Keynes branch seems to have been disappointing too many times for me to want to eat there again. A shame really as I do love visiting Milton Keynes.

Recently I visited the restaurant in Central Milton Keynes and I was extremely disappointed as the customer service was extremely poor so as the food. We asked for cutlery but we were told that they don't have any clean one while my husband found some on another table. Also the curry did not taste fresh.

Unable to comment on the food as didn’t get seated. My husband and I waited patiently today to be seated, wait time etc but didn’t even get acknowledged. The server just walked straight past us, and others were just walking around not doing anything, no shortage of staff just pure disinterest. We understand it can get busy but just some acknowledgment to even say I’ll be with you in a minute would have been enough. There was plenty of room but unfortunately all the tables that were empty were piled high with plates and glasses. It just looked a state. Saw 2 women struggling to get acknowledged to pay also, they appeared frustrated. So disappointed as pre covid we really used to enjoy going to Yo Sushi but now, for the price point it is lack lustre and reminds of a hospital canteen. Such a shame, today has solidified to never go back. We made the decision to leave.

I dropped my review from five stars due to the sluggish staff - the wait to be seated has consistently been over 15 minutes, sometimes as long as 30 minutes and those are with a reservation. Our latest reservation was cancelled because we were late due to waiting for seating. Get your act together Yo Sushi MK!! 😡🤬 Update: It was quiet and no queue so we went again. Ordered on the app and they forgot several items, we had to go ask for them. The conveyor belt has the same few items going around and around, no idea for how long.

Food is fine but overall the experience has become a bit confused and the food you order can take a long while to arrive / comes sporadically. It's hard to keep track of what you are spending from the conveyor. The team was not warm or welcoming.

What a disappointment, compared to how this place used to be! Came here yesterday for an early lunch and found the water refill gone (bottled options only), the prices increased (I'm sure they'll blame that on the cost of living, but 30%+?) and the chicken katsu burnt. Yo sushi was better when it focused on its namesake; sushi. There are just too many attempts at other things now, all done with a "halfway good is okay" attitude. The QR code that they expect you to order non- conveyor foods/drinks through has a flawed menu that meant that after clicking a BOGOF offer, seeing the price reduce as expected, seeing our food arrive, we found was ONLY AVAILABLE ON WEEKDAYS. Maybe if an offer isn't available, don't place it at the highest point on the QR menu?? And don't let it show the price reduction on the app! Ended up paying full price, which was an unpleasant surprise to round off an underwhelming meal with. To top it off, staff were completely unhelpful with the QR code issue, and refused to acknowledge there was a fault in the system or do anything about it. All in all, we're not planning on coming here again. Just doesn't offer the same quality, experience, or value it used to.

Having not been to YO before my partner thought it a good idea. Me being not too keen on raw fish didn't think it a good idea at all. However the experience was far from raw fish. No raw fish even came across my bowl and there I was taking coloured bowls from the conveyor belt like it was going out of fashion. Plenty of choices (including raw fish) could be had but I couldn't stop picking out the salted endame beans. It's like the woolworths pick n mix of Japanese sushi. If you've never done this before it's definitely worth the experience and easily budgetary. You only take from the conveyor what you can afford or order something specific from the menu. Can't remember the name of what I ordered, it was new on the menu like a little tofu boat filled with rice and sriracha chicken. Yum 😋 would defo visit again and I highly recommend to those scared to try something new.

Visited the previous weekend. Clearly very under staffed, which isn't the staff themselves fault. However the person serving us was very slow, even when accounting for the fact they where under staffed, staff didn't seem to be bothered about being quick. They didn't appeared very confident with submitting food orders ether. On a good notes, as someone with a allergy I did appreciate being given the allergens information and felt reassured they took the allergy seriously.

We love it here but the server who was in shift today 26-09 a male with tattoos was awful ! Rude and not welcoming at all and was to busy chatting to kitchen staff then actually taking our order ! Guy didn’t seem to care or what to be there at all

We’re staying at the hotel, which was very good! However, our festive meal was booked in this restaurant. Three courses for the best part of £40.00 Starter….was ok, basically toast with tomatoes on it! The main course - steak…..with about 8 (frozen chips), two cherry tomatoes. The steak was tiny and should have been medium rare……it was like boot leather and had no taste whatsoever. It was in a word …..pathetic. Then the peppercorn sauce, we had to remind our servers that the steak came with this…did not turn up for ten minutes after the meal was served. Desert…..Three scoops of sorbet and ice cream…..you can’t really get this wrong! Luckily, this was a work event and not paid for by me….however, this reflects badly on Marco Pierre White and can say easily the worst steak I’ve ever had……rubbish

We had rooms in the coach house and they were a bit tired. My loo flushed only if you worked the handle!! I couldn't change the volume on the TV with the remote! Small things. Breakfast was excellent albeit a bit slow but we went on a Sunday so we were cool with that Service was friendly and prompt

Horrible food, i had ordered fried chicken & was shocked at the fact they used a microwave to reheat it, wouldn’t even feed that to a stray dog, tasted awful.
