Found this place when i moved here 3 years ago , its now out favorite place , great atmosphere , great prices for lovely food , staff are friendly and helpful . Would recommend .

Called in on a Monday lunchtime, husband had smothered chicken, my granddaughter and I had the Mexican pasta with a chicken breast, I was a little concerned about tepid chicken on cold pasta, but it tasted fine,my husbands fries could have been much hotter, but he was ok with them so he didn't request fresh ones. We all had dessert which was much better, cheesecake sticky toffee and crumble were all lovely, more attention to detail and it would have been a great meal. The staff were very good though.

Got a bit annoyed today. Found a table that didn't have reserved on. Then got told to move as it was resevered? No explanation. just got told to move. Wasn't impressed by the lady. All the other staff were friendly apart from her. Had a response and I'm shocked, not a response I thought they would give. Not great management and will be making a complaint. Do not recommend this pub for this now

Great service, however the fizzy drink tap wasn’t working and meant we all didn’t get our drink with our meal for the £11 stated. So we all had to order drinks.

Food was delicious and reasonably priced but the service wasn't great. Asked 3 different members of staff for a high chair and still didn't get one, so in the end we gave up and sat toddler on an adult chair.

Food and drink is good value but not gastro pub standard. Directly connected to Premier Inn building so very convenient. Table had dried on food and decor generally tatty and run down. Particularly the toilets. Ordered food and drink via Greene King app. Took 25 minutes plus for food to arrive. Also drinks arrived after food!

Pleasant surroundings with nice food.

Such a nice, comfortable place to come and eat as a family. We order from the app at our table and our food was delivered in minutes. So easy and relaxing, staff are very friendly and helpful. It's lovely being by the lake too it has a real holiday feel. We only live down the road so it's lovely to come here once in a while.

A frustrating visit this time to this pub restaurant. I ordered for myself and family and having wrote down my order I was informed I hadn't mentioned that I wanted 2 milkshakes as part of 2 kids meals even though I knew I did.so then I had to pay extra,also I was informed that my choice of kids pudding were not included in the said deal although the menu doesn't state that!!! So then I had to get 2 kids to decide on different choices. Food great and worth the money as always just very frustrating regarding the customer is always right in my opinion side of it.poor menu

My Sister and myself eat at Furzton a lot , The other day we both ordered half roast chicken with chips and spicy rice , well what can I say the chicken was a leg and a wing together so no breast of chicken, rice was cold and had more black beans in it than rice also was thrown on the plate not very appetising, we didn't complain as the staff was no where to be seen and bar area was busy but we may be going else where for food as this was not the first time food was not up to standard

We came here for a drink and dinner with my friend and son. As soon as we stepped in the service was great my son said what about the Man City game so we asked our server Lizzy and she said of course and put it on. ⚽️ We ordered food and it came very quickly my son said "This is the best fish and chips ever"🤣 we then had desert which was so yummy 😋, Lizzy our server was amazing , she was so nice so we want to thank her. This experience overall was lovely. 5 stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Very disappointed after walking an hour to the venue. To get turned away by an awful lady at the host stand. As my daughter had her scooter and this apparently is against health and safety. We we eating in the reasturant 2 days previously with the scooter with no problem. Will never recommend or waste my time with this place again. The lady in question was very rude I suggest she gets another job if she is not able to speak to people with respect.

As always we were made very welcome. The staff know us very well. We tend to book. We love to take our little dog with us. The staff give us the same table everytime. The food is awesome. This time we had the Chicken New Yorker, from the Super Saturday section. Great buy 2 meals at £10. Greg is very friendly and professional along with all the other staff. Would definitely recommend any one to visit and afterwards take a stroll around the lake with the 🐕 x

Update from today's visit. Service at the bar was brilliant and stopped, this being a 1 star review. Service was slow. 30-minute wait for starter. Plates cleared promptly, but the main meal and kids' meals did not arrive promptly. After 25 mins, we chased our mains, and the veggie one burger came out with the kids' meal and another main. The other meals came out 5 mins later. The veggie one was missing the mint yoghurt. We questioned why no onion rings with veggie burger to be told fried in the same fryer as meat. How come on side menu onion rings ate marked as vegetarian. Kids' meal beans looked like they had been reheated numerous times. Hunters chicken, the chicken was stone cold. My bro discovered this after eating the chips first. When he took it to the bar to ask for it to be heated up as it is stone cold, he was told well you left it to last to eat it! Normally this place is good for a reasonably priced meal but today failed. Poor customer service and the food was not up to spec. Even forgot sweetcorn side with kids meal. Catch up with relatives from Liverpool that were staying in the Premier Inn. Just as we got comfy had to move as they had a function on so had to cut it short to go home and eat. This place can be busy and a long wait for just a drink. Maybe in peak a drinks only till be great to speed service up.

Our Boxing Day experience was lovely. Amazing food, wonderful atmosphere and the service was friendly and generally all round lovely. Highly recommend

Visited and stayed at this pub last Friday night. Found staff to be very helpful and friendly even sqeezed another friend in last minute. Party of 3 children 5 adults. Food was lovely. Only draw back they did not tell us we had to order the child's inclusive ice cream when ordering our main meal. They could not add it on so we paid extra. Such a shame.

Able to eat without booking. Not busy Thursday afternoon. Freezing cold November day. Came for birthday meal. Everything about the mix it up sizzlers was perfect. My husband had salmon sizzler, sweet potato fries and coleslaw.. mine was gammon sizzler, mexican pasta salad and corn on the cob. Absolutely cleared our plates no waste. Dog was welcomed by waiting staff, Greg and Derek. Michelle, the chef, did a fantastic job of trimming the gammon steaks to leave no fatty bits. Also the bed of onions, peppers was cooked to perfection and not burnt. Everything complemented each other. The only sad thing is that. I couldn't order a squirt of chocolate squirty cream as they had run out. We will return again next month. Been again for my birthday.. same great food, Michelle. Excellent service from Elizabeth. Going back on Christmas eve. We are addicted to the great food plus we will get discounts on our sizzlers on Tuesday

Great place to eat Helpful staff

We were a family group booked into the premier inn. Very welcoming when we checked our table booking and on arrival. Table was situated ideally for a family group of seven. We had three young children so ordered their children’s meals. What we didn’t know and was not asked for at the till was we had to add on children’s desserts when we booked their meal. We asked staff and they were told by management no they couldn’t help us. So we paid for dessert. Perhaps be included in staff training or made very clear to customers. Overall food was good and arrived on time.

Parked in disabled bay (appropriately), had a coffee for 15 minutes, and there was a parking fine of £170. This is clearly a racket based on the other reviews. NB: I disputed and won compensation against them.

Nice location, good atmosphere, decent food. The tap water was not available, hence the 3 stars rating. Will come again. Nov 2024 The food quality is not too great, when compared with wetherspoons(which is not of a high standard). The table service is good.

Very disappointed. The service not good at all. We was waiting very long time more than that the kids portion very small. My daughter 8 years old received 8 pasta and we was waiting more than 1 hour.

Order full English it came,and all I can say it was the worst full English I’ve ever had.portion sizes are that tight that 5 mushrooms and 1 sausage 1 egg os the “correct amount” no bread,no tomatoes,no black pudding,no french toast.when asked to change because I was unhappy with what I’ve paid when a few quid extra I would of been satisfied with my meal the staff made it complicated saying you paid with vouchers and cash we can’t refund you all I asked to do was change the meal to something more suitable and filling I said it plainly I’m unhappy with this meal I want to change it to another I’ll pay the difference but was met with restaurant rhetoric and red tape I’m not happy just change the bloody food simple. But was forced after 2 returns of the original food to eat the original food ordered absolutely avoid this place when it comes to food not good value for money,appalling customer service.

Just had a fabulous meal at Furzdon Lake the 8oz smothered steak sizzler was wonderful So tasty Staff are very friendly and efficient
