I should start by saying the food was good and portion size generous. But the service lets it down - I ordered in person and the server stopped me talking twice to answer the phone. I get that they don’t want to miss phone orders but when you’re speaking to someone face to face then interrupting that is just rude. This then meant that 2 orders went ahead of ours. We were told 20 minutes and 45 minutes later I’m still waiting which was incredibly frustrating.

Lady on the front desk was really lovely and a credit to the company. Food was overall quite good. Chips were nice, Chicken Balls were amazing as was the rice and curry. Beef in the curry was fatty and I couldn’t eat it after a few mouthfuls. Overall quite nice, I would go back again but not order the Beef.

We ordered a meal from Yeungs Chinese Takeaway at 8pm on 24th April. We collected the order 20 minutes later. The food was cooked to perfection. It’s hard to find a Chinese Takeaway on the same level as the one we regularly visit at home, but this was equally as good. Would highly recommend.

We were recommended to Yeung’s by a local and walked in for a Friday night takeaway. They were clearly busy with people collecting online and phone orders but service was excellent and it took about 10 minutes for our order to arrive. It was still piping hot after a 5 minute walk home and we were wowed by the spare ribs, which were plentiful and meaty! The squid and the shrimp chow mein were excellent as well. We come to St. Ives regularly and will be back for another takeaway soon.

Our last trip to Yeungs I’m afraid. Over the last year this takeaway has really deteriorated. Tough meat, dry meat, chewy squid vegetables that taste old. We have kept going because it used to be so good but enough.

We ordered Chinese take out in the shop and collected it 25 minutes later. The lady was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and nice and hot when we got it back. The prawn toast and spring rolls were good and the prawn and broccoli was delicious.

I popped in at 6.30pm on Saturday 26th September 2020, a asian lady on the desk took my order but whilst ordering kept ignoring me and answering the phone without any manners, when she took my full order she said 20-25 minutes wait, I then asked if I could pay by card and she snapped cash only in a nasty way. I gave her the notes and she threw my change back at me. I waited and waited as people were coming in and getting their take aways that they had ordered over the phone, the place was very small and was packed with no social distancing, infact it was a danger. I asked again at 7.05pm and was told abuptly to sit down, at 7.30pm a young lady with a child returned for her order and said to me, you was here a hour ago wasnt you, to which I replied yes, at 7.40pm she called out my number 47 and i left the shop. I got back to the caravan and the food was cold. The spare ribs were like rubber, the duck had more fat on it than my ex missus, the special fried rice was dried and burnt and the pancake rolls had no meat in them and was that soggy we both threw them in the bin after 1 bite. If I could give this place NO stars I would, I will be taking this matter further with public health and the local council department.

Just had probably the worst Chinese I’ve ever had. Don’t use if you can help it! Crispy duck was soggy, tofu was dry and salty, beef tasted of rubber, ribs were ok just. Won’t be back I’m afraid

Food was just ok, however I have never encountered such awful customer service: the lady at the counter was so rude that I shall not be visiting Yeung's again!

Arrived to pick up food at time specified, absolute bedlam with multiple people queuing up and only one person serving. Had to wait a further 20 minutes due to walk-in orders, no effort to prioritise existing orders, the one staff member just repeatedly kept taking phone orders. When I finally got up to the till I was informed they do not take cards...seriously? In this day and age?Food was total garbage. Satay chicken screwers clearly had been incorrectly covered with the Peking rib sauce instead of the satay sauce, the dumplings were actually wontons and they had all exploded as they were overcooked, and the beef in the curry was just the usual boiled to within an inch of its life crap. The current climate is no excuse for this! If you can't cope or put appropriate measures in place then just don't bother!

Ordered a takeaway for our last night in St Ives. We were told it would be ready for 18:45, turned up on time but had to wait a further 20 minutes. Got back to our apartment only to find there were missing items, despite everything being read out to us when it was collected. Ordered prawn crackers (missing), prawn toast, bbq ribs, beef with cashew nuts, char siu kung po (off menu) and special fried rice. Starters were perfectly fine. Mains were a bit bland and tasteless, but inoffensive. Not sure if I would order from them again - maybe we just made bad choices.

My family & I ordered in good faith a takeaway selection of dishes for our Saturday night meal. I was the only person to eat the Chicken & Sweetcorn soup and also the Beef in Blackbean sauce - all of the other dishes were shared.During the early hours of Sunday morning I was violently sick & continued to vomit all night long. I would not take the chance of eating here again.

We spent £40 here on a birthday treat (the children had been looking forward to this all week) and the meal was ruined by 1. being cold and 2. tiny portions. We live locally and are regular customers to this establishment. Furthermore we are used to much more generous portions and feel we've fallen foul to the old 'in-season-reduced-portion' trick. The trays the food came in were half the depth of the trays we normally receive, the prawn crackers were stale, the chicken balls were 2/3 the usual size and the chicken chow mein consisted almost entirely of noodles with very little meat! This isn't the first time we've been duped 'in season' by local traders, but come on guys- holiday makers or locals- we all know when we've been short changed and the cost of this food is not cheap- so stop ripping us all off during holiday season! I feel very annoyed indeed. My advice is to go somewhere else that hasn't become complacent due to the number of years they've been trading- there are plenty of alternative Chinese and Asian takeaways within commutable distance from this place. I'll not be returning either in season or out of season......

It took quite a long time to actually order the meal. The person on the other end claimed I could not be heard but I discarded the mobile and used a land line. After 15 minutes I was not confident my address had been understood. The food then took a further 45 to arrive. This was a Tuesday evening at 5pm.The food was very nice but the service could have been less frustrating.

We always have a takeaway from here when stopping for a week in st ives. Always nice but they get very busy so probably best to place phone order for collection or go in and order and come back. I don't think they deliver. They are a bit pricey but we are in St Ives.

We used to use this place a lot and always recommended it to family, friends and guests but no more. Decided to go in tonight. It was dreadful. The prawn crackers were soggy, the black bean sauce was as spicy as a madras, and the vegetables pancake roll was in the bin after the second bite! The person serving didn’t speak English and the one who took our order looked like she really hated her job, miserable as *£&#!Definitely won’t be going back there which is a shame as we have a lot of family, friends and customers of our holiday let we won’t be recommending them to.

Visited here on the request of my youngest son who had recently recovered from a tummy bug a few days earlier and was not eating well at all after. His choice of food so we hoped it would help kick-start him again - which it duly did! The food was good and we all enjoyed the meal. We had meal C for 3 people which easily fed the 4 of us. The bang bang chicken starter was interesting but nice - a cold chicken dish which I would describe as chicken in a spicy prawn cocktail sauce on lettuce - I know that probably doesn’t sound great but it was nice I promise! The rest of the meal was lovely and they happily exchanged one of the dishes for an alternative.

We have always eaten at the other chinese take away but after reading reviews of this place we decided to give it a go. Phoned our order through, was given a time to collect (15 min) and it was ready when I attended. There were a few locals collecting food also which is normally a good sign. As food is packed in thick foil boxes it was still piping hot when I got in 10 mins later. The food was absolutely brilliant and very tasty. 3x starters, 4x main dishes, 4x sides and an extra sauce for under £40...with a large bag of prawn crackers thrown in for free.

Had my reservations when we arrived at Yeungs takeaway last night. The young lady on front of house was very busy catching up with her social media and didn’t notice us for several minutes. Judging by her reaction, she was rather frustrated that we had interrupted her and after taking our order swiftly got back to her phone. However the folks in the kitchen did a great job as the food was super. Thank you.

Quite possibly the worst Chinese I’ve had in a long time. £6.20 for a dry, chicken curry with literally no flavour, no sauce and as close to god awful as it gets. Have eaten here many times before and the food has always been acceptable but this one was shocking! There must have been half an onion it and even that didn’t save the flavour. Next time I’ll buy a 99p savers microwave one! Avoid like the plague if you like a curry with some flavour or indeed any sauce with it! An insult to the traditional Chinese curry (and I’ve taken out the onions as they were so overpowering!)

Where we live we have one good Chinese takeaway and many not so good ones. So when choosing one whilst in St Ives on holiday we are pleased we chose here. Although the food prep was slow as it was very busy on this Wednesday night the food was great. We had sweet and sour chicken, chow mien, chicken curry, two different rice dishes, spring roles. The food was great tasting, good quality and cooked very well. I shall be making this a holiday treat each time I'm down.

Looking at the reviews, food delivery times are as they were in June 2022. We arrived at 12.45 on Sunday 8th September to be greeted with the sign advising a 45 minute wait for hot food. We stood in a line of 12 people and reached the order point after 30 minutes. We both wanted soup, to be told Yes, 45 mjnutes was what it would take. What planet is the management on? Just how many years does it take to take the message on board & make an improvement. 45 minuted for a bowl of soup. They surely by now get the message that a wait of 1.25 hours in total for a bowl of soup is ridiculous. I cannot believe each soup is made especially to order. We threw the towel in , jumped in our car & travelled over to Trellisk near Truro, even busier than this restaurant, were served and eating our choice within 15 minutes of arriving. Is there a lesson here? Of course there is & one this restaurant should take very seriously. Very disappointed & frankly angry that this is the way customer’s are treated.
