Amazing service with attention to detail that is rarely found in many restaurants. I had called to see if they could help me with a surprise birthday brunch for my girlfriend and they didn’t disappoint with all the finer detail. Flowers offers for the table, chalk board written by entrance saying happy birthday, cakes great attentive waitress, just amazing all round. Kit forgetting the food was brilliant; wild mushroom, spinach and loaded egg on sour bread was delirious with a fresh smoothie was great. A window seat looking across the reservoir and Somerset hills finished it off!! Thanks so much to Roy and his staff and those in the kitchen - brilliant and my girlfriend left with such a happy feeling which was my aim! Thanks Great food and great atmosphere!

The location is beautiful, high up on the hill with a great view. But even if you can’t nab a table with the view, it’s a welcoming, open and relaxing place to be , with great food and friendly service. We went with friends for a birthday breakfast - it was fresh, very nicely cooked and top quality ingredients. Highly recommended.

Very disappointed. The fish was overcooked and not hot. The chips not that good either. We were first in so how long it had sat under hot lights I'm not sure. Cold plates why?Lovely salad bowls .the other option was cauliflower cheese tart. Puddings were great. The best sticky toffee pudding ever.The service was great . Trouble hearing the conversation on my table as such a vast space. I've been in catering all my life and there are certain aspects that need changing. Hot food needs to be HOT. Over cooking fish is not acceptable,I only ate half of mine as did my friend.

We’ve been to a couple of Yeo Supper Clubs recently and they’ve gone down really well with our guests. Not only has the food been top-notch and plentiful, the service is always second to none (very friendly but professional too). Can’t wait for our next visit.

A great disappointment. We knew beforehand that it was food from the servery and that the choice was fish and chips or vegetarian but had expected the food to be fresh. The fish was lukewarm (and small) as were the chips which were undercooked for my taste. Service was good and friendly but compared to the delicious breakfasts and lunches which I had experienced pre covid this was very poor.

A great experience as always with Roy and his team. Hearts on the coffee! What more can I say. I would recommend Yeo Valley canteen and the calm ambience they offer.

Came here for our anniversary. Been here once before many years ago and as per usual it was fantastic. The service great and the food was delectable. Would highly recommend.

Great to see the Canteen is open again for lunches. The simplified format of having one meat and one veggie option is a winner for me, with lots of colourful salads to add joy to the plate. Always delicious food, great views and a warm welcome. I'll be back soon

We hadn't been for a while to Yeo Valley Canteen and were given the opportunity to go to the Supper. It some respects it wasn't what we expected as we were on 5 long tables and everyone ate at the same time. The tables had 16 on them except for ours and we had 19. This meant when the food came out we didn't always get enough. There wasn't enough portions of the beef and the carrots supporting the main course ran out before we got them in the middle of the table. There weren't anymore in the kitchen either. The vegetarian main course was very nice, as was the peach dessert, although it was very hard to eat the biscuit that came with it. I felt some of the usual flavours were missing such as the tomato starter and a tomato slice with a piece of cheese on it. It was also very noisy with everyone there at the same time. If we went again we wouldn't sit in the middle of the table, we would sit at the end where the food starts from when it goes around.

Had the most wonderful evening at the Supper Club as part of the Somerset Food Trail. The food was all locally sourced and simply delicious, service was excellent - a very memorable evening spent with friends, some of whom had never experienced a supper club before or tasted the flavours of some of the food but really enjoyed it. Fortunately we live nearby so can return - congratulations and well done to all of you for such a fantastic evening - we will be back!!!

A fantastic Supper Club! We managed to book Supper Club for the first time (usually this event sells very quick) and it was a great experience! Delicious, healthy food, plenty for everyone (and there was 12 of us). Service was great and well organised. Couldn't ask for more. Thank you for making our experience so enjoyable! Beautiful setting, with views over the Mendips and picturesque sunset over the Bristol Channel. We shall return soon!

It was a nice sunny day so we could enjoy the view over the Yeo Valley with a drink (in one direction the vines from which our wine came, in the other, the fields where the Yeo Valley Organic graze). Then an amazing and very filling dinner, made with tasty local products. Incredible service from very friendly and knowledgeable staff too. We even got to enjoy the sunset from the terrace over coffees (and homemade biscuits!).

Visited for the first time at one of their Supper Nights - and it was fantastic. Lovely healthy, plentiful dishes presented as sharing courses - starters, mains and pudding - choice of items on each course. Wonderful setting, and good fun meeting strangers on our allocated table, with views over the Mendips and lakes. Service was first class, efficient and friendly - all in all a most enjoyable evening…..we shall return!

All the years I’ve been coming here I have never experienced anything other than 5 star experience today was a different experience our tea and coffee were made then set aside to go cold whilst the women haphazardly carried on taking orders so when it was handed over to my husband it was cold. The breakfast orders were the longest I’ve ever had to wait here for and to top it all they had run out of milk to sell by 10 am !!! The missing ingredients to this experience were Roy and Tarchi. We miss you both !

What a wonderful evening with friends! The set menu was varied, seasonal and full of flavour; well thought out and executed to perfection. The staff created a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and went out of their way to make our evening special. I will definitely be booking another Supper Club and would highly recommend to others. Fantastic food and fabulous service! I was so pleased to hear Yeo Canteen pop up suppers were returning for 2023, and it completely delivered on expectations. The food was delicious and thoughtfully planned; unique takes on classic far Eastern dishes produced with the best of local south west products, the spring rolls were incredible! And as ever the Roy and all the team looking after us were fabulous, with the warmest of welcomes and nothing ever being too much trouble. Yeo Canteen has the perfect mix of warmth, quality and personality, it’s unique atmosphere makes it really special! Well done team!

I love Yeo Valley Canteen to have a coffee and catch up with my teens. Roy and Tachi have created such a lovely, warm and friendly environment. Great coffee, yoghurt and granola and bacon sandwiches. And we can stock up on our Yeo Velley faves....

As we were driving back from Somerset, we decided to stop on the off chance for a bite to eat. We knew it would be impossible to get a table without a prior booking. But it was our lucky day! The very friendly receptionist asked us to hold on and after a phone call, she told us to walk through and ask for Roy. Great communication! What a welcome, they managed to fit us in. I had the delicious Veggie Burger and my husband went for the traditional Fish and Chips, as it was Friday. Both were excellent. The place was extremely busy, but the staff was very helpful, friendly and we really had an excellent lunch. So, thank you again to the whole team. We couldn't resist stocking up on our favourite Yeo Valley product and we took away some of that amazing chocolate brownie and lemon drizzled cake. Can't wait to come back again, shame you are not on our doorsteps!!!! Thank you again guys for a very good lunch and service, well done......

Went for afternoon tea and cake and arrived about 1 hr before closing. Staff busy cleaning rather than serving and had to flag someone down to help us after standing at counter and being ignored. Only a couple of pieces of shortbread left... no complaints about that... coffee in the dispenser only lukewarm though. We discovered we could order coffees at the counter and those were excellent, as was the shortbread! However, also ordered a £3-95 vanilla milkshake... when it came, it had consistency of milk and tasted only if milk. It was so poor I took it back to be told it had 3 scoops of ice cream in it. This was honestly impossible since it was only slightly chilled. Anyway, after insisting they had made it with ice cream they agreed to remake it and this time it was excellent; the straw actually stood up in it and I could taste the vanilla ice-cream. So, I am sure this is a great place and we were unlucky that the staff’s attentions were elsewhere that time of day. Nevertheless, we were paying the same as customers throughout the rest of the day and so not unreasonable to expect the same standard.

After hearing many positive reviews, I decided to visit for afternoon tea. Arrived at 3.30pm to find only tea and coffee being sold as all cakes had been sold out (only short bread biscuit available). The interior was quirky and the view was spectacular, however, the service was poor (staff spent more time clearing up the place and weren’t particularly friendly or helpful). It’s a shame they don’t offer more food options after lunch. Not sure I’ll revisit.

Having collected a lot of yeokens over the past year I was excited to be able to book onto one of the events which yeo valley do with my daughter. I initially didn't book correctly but the yeo valley team sorted this for me when I called them. They were very helpful.We attended the Demi Demo Day today and had an amazing time. It started with breakfast and coffee, then had a number of demonstrations of different types of food which were extremely informative. Paul, the chef, was very knowledgeable about yeo valley / sustainability and organic farming which was really interesting.Then after trying some of the demo food, we had a lovely lunch.My daughter and I went away very satisfied with our 'starter' for making sour dough bread. We were also able to purchase some yeo valley products at excellent prices.I will definitely be trying out making sour dough in the very near futureThank you Yeo Valley for a wonderful day out

An inspiring day out with a group of friends. Their ethos inspires everyone and we came away so full of good intentions and have all made sour dough bread, some more successfully than others.

We'd visited four times previously and this time took some friends of ours from Manchester. I'd 'bigged up' Yeo valley after our previous meals, but thought this time the meal was OK rather than good. The Friday lunch menu was very limited to my mind, and none of the dishes really appealed to our friends. In contrast, the service was very good and the staff were excellent. Overall our friends thought the venue and setting were great but the food just ok. Not sure we'll rush back for lunch again.

Family breakfast was just superb. Rot served us and was a joy. Deserved the tip he got! All good was excellent, and coffee was good. Would love to see a full English on the menu.

Another amazing meal at Yeo Valley. My whole family are now regular visitors. We all love the great food, beautiful view and amazing team. The service here is 2nd to none.

Absolutely love this place, always greeted with a friendly smile. Roy is always very accommodating and takes time to chat and make you feel welcome. The rest of the staff are very friendly too, keep up the hard work we really appreciate it.

Booked for our Christmas lunch with three colleagues. None of us had been before so had no expectations. Staff very helpful, view fantastic, food lively. Best modules that I've ever had. Beautifully cooked. Staff so good. They had to pack up around us and we stayed until well after closing time but they were just so tolerant and pleasant.

Fabulous restaurant, regularly go to the pop up evening dinners. Food excellent and local produce, lovely staff and a great place for a meal, very lucky to have Yeo valley locally, but friends travel down from Bristol and well worth a visit.

I have had the pleasure of eating at Yeo Valley Canteen on at least six occasions. Each time the event has been good. Good welcome, service food and value for money. A former reviewer has left many !!!!!!!! when told that they would need to book 12 weeks in advance. Yes, unless you are lucky, advanced booking is most certainly needed. Another reviewer has said that it was noisy, yes it is a bit, but you know 1st and foremost it is a 'works canteen' and we the diners are only joining them.

If you have never been before, this is the staff canteen of Yeo Valley, ie, the company that produces yoghurts and other diary products, which also doubels as a restaurant/café for the general public. It usually only opens during the day, but occasionally it opens in the evening, as it was on this occasion. Christmas menu and I had my first turkey dinner of the season with all the trimmings. Never a huge selection of courses, but always excellent. Service is extremely efficient and very friendly. Bonus of also being able to buy company products at a heavy discount, so came away with some Yeo Valley ice cream and milk.

The canteen is very welcoming, and there is a really good buzz in the restaurant. The menu has a limited selection, however I would imagine something for everyone. Our food was very good, served by a friendly and professional team

We are lucky enough to live very close to this amazing restaurant. The food here is consistently of incredible standard, with a changing but always delicious menu that represents true value for money given you’re eating locally produced organic high welfare meat.

After seeing the canteen on a recent TV programme I booked a lunch for my wife and myself to coincide with our holiday in England. We were disappointed with the experience. The menu choices were more limited than what were available on the TV. Service was not great we ordered water for the table but this was forgotten. We both had a burger and when they came my wife's was close to raw and mine slightly better. We sent them back to kitchen and they were fine 2nd time but it was a poor experience so much that we didn't bother with dessert.

A visit to the Yeo valley H Q and staff dining would make an ideal Christmas present. Look up what's in offer, you won't be disappointed.

Truly lovely environment..super staff...amazing views...wonderful atmosphere...superb desert...dreadful roast potatoes!! We ordered the roast dinner which had nice side vegetables and meat but the roast potatoes were were so overcooked/kept warm we could hardly cut through them and to be honest the taste wasn't worth the effort. The plum sundae was delicious though. Strange to say when asked by 2 separate staff if we enjoyed the meal our potatoes comment was met with complete insouisance. The waiters said oh mine was ok an hour ago and the waiter chatted about his coming meal....A bit Stepford Wives!4 star is based on everything but the main which could be better but have to say would go back.

Beautiful food, excellent service, great views, good prices! They only serve “roast” on a Wednesday - had the lamb which was perfect, melted in my mouth. And (please note other restaurants) the bread served up front so fresh, tasty, real quality.

We came here for lunch during the summer holidays. Staff were very welcoming and friendly and we loved the decor of the canteen and the view from the canteen of the local countryside is insane! Lunch was delicious I had the vegetable tart and my partner the burger. We both had icecream for dessert again very tasty. We also got some yoghurt from the shop. Would go back to visit again.

Yeo valley is set in the most stunning countryside with beautiful views across the lake - we ate in the canteen but think we’d try the cafe next time, the food was nice but lacked a bit of flavour - the kedgeree could have done with more curry flavour, the poach eggs were perfect! The decor is what’s known as eclectic, I’m not entirely sure it all works together - just too many ideas & styles converging - and red is a tricky background colour to pull off unless you’re in a nightclub! However you go here for the gardens and these are so pretty! Lots of little places of interest to discover , it’s wild & natural and a real treat if you’re looking for a relaxing wander. Oh & the house caused us home envy!

A stunning restaurant with spectacular views. The organic lunch we got was so fresh tasting and delicious. The ambience in the restaurant was wonderful and we loved all the quirky artifacts about the place, which show how common objects can be repurposed in a creative and fun way. The staff were all great too and were very thoughtful and accommodating as we had our infant with us. We would love to come back and spend more time in this beautiful place.

As we walked in and looked out of the windows the view is wonderful. Two reservoirs can be seen in superb surroundings. If the weather is good then sit on the balcony and enjoy the view. Our meal was well presented and of excellent quality. The helpings are enormous. I had quiche which was delicious and friends had beefburgers and fish which were also very good. Service was fast and efficient. Then I visited the loos. They are spotless and well worth a visit. 12/10 for the Canteen.

Well what can I say. The Yeo Valley Canteen is fabulous ... friendly people .... luscious organic food ...... stunning views over the valley...... even the ladies loos are a work of art. No negatives at all except it’s too far away from where I live for me to visit regularly otherwise I would apply for a season ticket. Well done to you all. I shall return asap.

The excellent reviews I had read led us to expect more. Quirky decoration and amazing panorama. A choice of vegetarian options but rather pedestrian flavours. Service was slow and we could not always attract anyone's attention. A shame as I had looked forward to this.

This place feels like home. I love it. Tino and Roy make this place for me; they are amazing. I would like the menu to be a little bit more regularly ‘changed up’ but that’s my fault for going so often. I also wish it was open on the weekend but I understand why it’s not. It’s a gem; just a shame I have to take holiday to go!

I have been several times ( one needs to book well in advance) I had Mussells form St Austell They were delicious in an excellent sauce and enough for the shells to fill a plate as well as a bowl. The service is friendly and efficient and prices beyond reasonable! The strawberry sundae was so beautiful several photos were taken ( not by me!) and they did not contain any synthetic cream only the real article.

I went to the canteen with a friend a couple of weeks ago for one of the May demo days, it was brilliant and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and return.

So this was our 2nd visit, as promised we went back in better weather, we visited the Garden site before lunch (which is a seperate review). We booked for 1.45pm, so timings are about right. You must book.

This delightful cafe is the ‘works canteen’ for the Yeo Valley Company and it is splendid in very respect. Quirky, high quality and with a fabulous view, this place is great for coffee, breakfast or lunch. Seek it out (but booking for lunch is essential(.

All said before but great environment, service and food. The sourdough bread is the best I have tasted and the lovely waitress gave me a pot of starter and a recipe left over from a demonstration to make my own which I have now done (not as good as theirs) We will be visit again when in the area.

What a find! The staff at Yeo are friendly and welcoming and the surroundings, both inside and outside, are incredible. The views from the window are wide and green and the interior decorations and interesting and imaginative. The fresh flowers on the table and the choices on the menu show a genuine eye for detail and love of quality and flourishing touch. I had the cheddar quiche and my husband had the fish and chips. We were blown away by the depth and balance of flavours and were stuffed at the end. The salted caramel ice cream with chocolate sauce was just spot on. Can’t wait for a return visit. Guests’ car park was full on our arrival so we parked around the side of the building and found our way in. Because we appeared in the restaurant by an unusual route we were confronted and admonished by a waitress who presumed that we had been before ( it was our first visit). There are signs directing guests to the correct entrance, but you have to look carefully. Some of the service was very slow and impersonal which did not enhance the atmosphere. Some of the service was good. All the different drinks came very quickly. The food was delicious and we would recommend both types of burgers. Previous reviews mention that there is something lacking in the atmosphere. As a person with hearing loss I was overwhelmed by the extraordinary noise generated within the canteen, which was very disorienting for me and can be for other people. Please raise your concerns if you are so affected. There is a patio area that in fine weather might be possible

I had been there before and booked for an extra special occasion way back in January and asked for a window table. When we arrived it sounded like lunchtime in a very noisy school canteen. When we walked into the dinning area, there were so many people crammed in, more than I had ever seen before. I was prepared to stay, until it turned out that someone had allocated me an inside table by mistake. We immediately left. To add insult to injury they sent me an automated email saying I'd cancelled the booking and they hope to see me again soon! I have contacted them to explain the situation and so far they have not responded. So different from previous visits.

Haven’t been up for a while now and I was really looking forward to it.

This was not our first visit and we have not yet been disappointed. The view towards Blagdon Lake is lovely. The menu choice is limited but the food is fresh, delicious and well presented. We all had lemon posset and would recommend it. The house wine was good too.

This was the second time we had visited having not been totally satisfied the first time and I must say Roy did everything possible to ensure that we enjoyed the experience even calling us after the lunch to ensure that we were 100% happy this time. There is still the occasional weakness and forgetting my red wine order was one this time, while yes the menu is a little repetitive but overall no complaints from us many thanks.

I was expecting great things from the amazing reviews and the fact that you have to book so far in advance to get in......to be honest- if I was a local I would pop in more often for a cake and the lovely view from the terrace, which I understand you don’t have to book for ( but I may be wrong).

We've eaten here twice and it is lovely. Friendly staff too. Great place if you are vegan (or not). We will definitely go again. The added bonus is being able to see my horse across the lake using the telescope on the balcony!
