The Milton Larder in North Somerset

...looked at the menu this morning to get a breakfast, seems the menu has changed and the price has gone up (nearly double what they were). Was a nice option to have a nice reasonable priced vegetarian breakfast before. All previous experiences were great, reasonably priced, good quality food.

Love it here, always a lovely atmosphere and a warm welcome from staff. They have good gluten free options and as a wheelchair user I always find them so accommodating, helpful and just all round lovely. Would recommend 🥰

Definitely my favourite place for breakfast. Having tried many places this is by far the best. The cakes are simply delicious and home made too! Staff are very friendly. Definitely worth a visit!

My son and I went for a breakfast and was so impressed with the staff service, very friendly and welcoming . Food was excellent, compliments to the chef and we even came away with some delicious cakes as they were too good to leave ! Will be back - definitely recommend

I purchased 3 bacon sandwiches and 3 Latte coffees and there was no change out of £30... I can't say I was ripped off as there is clearly a menu with prices, but this is just a nice clean cafe, nothing more.... £30 seems rather expensive to me 😲

Really rated our breakfast, all hot tasty and came out quick. Cappuccino was especially good. Server said that they had a new machine so maybe that was why. Great service. We Will be back

Have visited regularly for many years, since the change in ownership has gone downhill. Food was not to usual standards, won’t be dashing back, especially for the prices- seem to have also increased. +£1.50 to add an egg to a breakfast sandwich, which was only in one half of the sandwich as it wasn’t in the middle (cut in half) seems very overpriced New ordering system doesn’t seem to include all menu options either, or the option to remove items

I have ordered from ML twice a week for the last 2 years and I am horrified at the changes that have now occurred! The standard of food has plummeted, cost has risen quite some and feel rather annoyed at the excuses as to why! The previous owner was fantastic, nothing was ever to much trouble and the good was always excellent and now it's a shambles!

Did an order for delivery and half of the big breakfast was missing and was ment to come with a drink that did not come either. WORST CAFE IN WESTON

The large Milton Larder breakfast was one of the best ever, with a reasonable price.

For a small cafe, it offers a nice selection of basic English nosh. It's such a nice little but simple place.

Went there for a meeting and had coffee and breakfast, coffee was great and the poached eggs on toast I had was beautifully cooked. Granary bread cut really thick was delicious will definitely be going back. Went back was still great quality food

Stopped here for breakfast . Please bear in mind we are dog lovers and have two of our own . We ordered breakfast and we’re sat waiting when a lady and her dog came in . We thought this was great as there’s not many places in Weston furry friends are welcome ….. That was untill she chose the table next to us which was less then a metre away and had her dog sat up at the table beside us !! Our breakfast was delivered and so was hers , she asked for a small plate to cut her egg up on and I had probably ate 1/3 of my breakfast when I saw her put the plate on the chair with food of her plate for the dog …. I can’t say for sure that the staff seen her feed her dog off their plate but the staff definitely seen the dog sat up to the table …. I had to leave the rest of my breakfast because I just couldn’t stomach it if this was the sort of thing that went on there . I’m all for dogs entering restaurants and cafes but come on , they are dogs and shouldn’t be at up to a table where countless people eat and definitely should not be eating off the crockery !!! Can’t bring myself to ever visit again and will try the one over the road instead

Just passing through en route from Devon to Cotswolds and found this little cafe on Trip Advisor. Only a short diversion off the motorway and perfect spot for lunch. All homemade and a good selection. The children both chose sandwiches from the children’s menu, which also included a drink and sweet treat. My partner had the Ploughman’s and I had the quiche of the day. All were presented well and delicious! The service was very friendly and quick. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

On the spur of the moment I popped into Milton Larder this morning and had a small breakfast, 5 items. It was really lovely, which means I’ll be going again. The staff were very friendly and I didn’t have to wait long for my brekkie Thank you all. I don’t often have breakfast out, it was a real treat

I visit this lovely little cafe quite often as food and service are outstanding. Sadly this wasn’t the case today. I met my friend who’d never been here before we both had a wrap with chips, very tasty. Whilst we were eating there was a raised voice from the gentleman in the kitchen, not something you actually want to hear when eating a little off putting to say the least. Then we ordered a cake/biscuit for dessert I ordered the shortbread square, this was a mistake as it was soft and tasted off. I mentioned it to the waitress who in turn took it out to the kitchen were upon a rather loud voice from the gentleman said there’s nothing wrong with it, then something we couldn’t actually make out, about how it’s made. As I say the food was delicious as usual but I certainly won’t be returning in a hurry.

I enjoyed my visit to the milton larder . I enjoyed a large breakfast which came with a drink. I enjoyed a cod drink as I don't drink hot drinks. Quick service and plenty on the plate.

A truly EXCELLENT full English at Milton Larder, probably the ONLY café that serves genuine local butchers sausages. Really nicely presented and cooked perfectly.

The breakfast sandwiches are mega, full English is also decent. Had lunch a few times too, always a pleasure

Friendly staff made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived, even though we were pushing it a little (got there at 1.15 and they close at 2). The sandwiches were delicious. I had The Greek and it was really nice. Very different to the usual sandwich offerings. We shared some wedges with our sandwiches and they were quite simply the best wedges I’ve ever had. We bought cakes to take home with us and they were really nice. Would definitely recommend for friendly staff and good food - especially the wedges!

Not been here for a while. Food is always good. You do need to find street parking and there's limited space especially during busy times and better to pre book but even when it quiet it feels a little cramped but the food good and they do take away

We used to come here every Saturday when we lived in Weston, it's been 2 years since we moved away and have just come back for the weekend and decided to pop in as a treat, and wow amazing still as great as we remember/ great food and great staff. If I could give 100 percent then I would . Keep up the great work as usual.

Every breakfast from basic poached eggs to pancakes & french toast it’s all too quality and really quick service. I don’t know if the cheesecake is made here but it’s worth a visit just for that. Good Quality coffee. The whole place looks very clean.

Driving past I noticed a car space ( a rare thing in this area) so decided to stop and go into this little gem of a restaurant. They’d changed the menu since we’d last being. I choose the mint chicken kebab and hubby had the burger of the day, both were outstanding. Unfortunately again no room for dessert.

AMAZING FOOD, very friendly staff and great prices.We have visited here whilst on holiday for the last 6/7 years and the food just gets better every time!We had a table of 10 (including children) and everyone left with a smile on their face!Between us we ordered, burgers, all day breakfast, jacket potato, brie and cranberry wrap and a children's nuggets.Our puddings were all homemade :chocolate cake, Aussie crunch, flapjack, shortbread and THE best one of all (mine), the Caramel wafer cheesecake which was heaven!!!So much cheaper than eating out at a restaurant and the food here is soooooo much better.We will return when we are next in the area

Having missed breakfast due to a dentist appointment my husband and I decided to go here and get something to eat. We both decided on the breakfast hubby had the larger choice I had the 5 items one and I wasn’t disappointed. Both breakfasts came piping hot well presented and very tasty. As I was paying I noticed the cheesecake, so bought a slice as a takeout, we ate that for our dessert in the evening again absolutely fantastic. I’d definitely recommend this place.

I was in weston for a job interview today and after being really impressed by the reviews on here decided to take a look myself and it did not disappoint: the food was absolutely immense, I had an American style burger with wedges and they even chucked a little Greek salad on the side. The burger was beautifully seasoned, the wedges the best I’ve ever had and the salad was so tasty. The service was immense, really lovely staff and it was such value for money. I never leave reviews but this place was genuinely a gem of a find. Will def come back if I get that job!

Continuing their fantastic reputation for great food and service with their takeaway menu.Despite the latest Covid lockdown the gang at Milton Larder have adapted their menu to offer a takeaway menu and ensuring they can maintain their high standards.I have just sampled one of their all day breakfast wraps, a large fresh tortilla with sausage, egg, bacon, cheese and hash brown.Fantastic, AND they include a tea or coffee for under £4! (3.95 be to exact).Ordered by phone and our order was waiting to be collected when we got there.It’s important to support local businesses at this time, and I can’t help hit do just that when their food and service is as good as this!!

We recently discovered this little gem having walked past it many times. Food is lovely, homemade and tasty. Staff friendly and the place is spotlessly clean. We now try to go as often as possible, wish they did Sunday roasts!

We were staying at the Travelodge in Weston on Friday 25th September and was looking for somewhere to get an early breakfast before continuing our journey down to Cornwall on the Saturday morningFound The Milton Larder on Tripadvisor late on Friday evening so decided to call them at 7.30am Saturday morning when they opened to see if we could get a table for 4 first thing.On checking bookings etc the only time we could be fitted in was straight away as in "can you be here in 10 minutes", which obviously fitted in with our travel plans.Wow you can see why they are #1 in Weston Super Mare.From the friendly well organised welcome explaining their Covid 19 rules through the ordering process and onto the actual fantastic breakfasts that were served up we could not fault anything at all and as for the prices charged I don't think I have ever had a better value cafe breakfast anywhere that I've tried.Definitely 10/10 for the whole Milton Larder experience.Thank you we will definitely be eating with you next time and will be recommending you to other family and friends.

Excellent little café in Milton near Weston Super Mare. Friendly staff, great customer service and food was good value for money. I had a door stop granary bacon sarnie which was lovely. Highly recommended if you are in the area. Homemade cakes also looked good.

Another trip to my definitive ‘go-to’ breakfast emporium.A breakfast club sandwich took me to a culinary heaven.Great service as always and a lovely friendly atmosphere.I didn’t even have to order my ‘normal’ hot beverage this time around, it magically appeared within moments of sitting down.There’s a reason why Milton Larder receive so many positive review.
