Local friendly pub, very helpful, met some really nice chatty people, owner and her daughter very helpful and friendly, made to feel very welcome, would highly recommend a visit, especially when the extension is finished,

You do feel like you have wandered into someone's front room, entering the Phoenix Bar, but it has a lovely atmosphere and reasonable selection of ciders which is a must for any west country pub.

This has got to be one of the friendliest pubs in the UK. The staff & locals are so friendly you would think you've been here before. Great selection of beers including draught and bottles. If you are a cider drinker you could spend days trying them all. Great selection of non alcoholic drinks that puts others to shame. The standard of what other pubs need to use. Variety of entertainment and not the normal rubbish pubs use. These guys can actually sing and entertain. Thank you for a great night.

Generally a nice little pub, set back from the main road so try not to miss it.

We decided on having my mothers 60th party at the Phoenix Bar in Portishead, it was such a lovely evening. The place is beautifully ran and the staff are just wonderful. I would highly recommend ‘Mons’ as a place to hold any special occasion, It was really easy to book and they are very helpful. I will attached photo’s to show you how lovely the venue is. Superb run family pub. Caring, loving, loyal, honest place to be. You can bring your own food. Brilliant local pub to visit, staff are fantastic

Great local pub with friendly staff. Drinks are extremely reasonable. Dog friendly and dog treats are provided. Music nights are great - keep an eye on their Facebook to see when they are.

Worth knowing that you can byo food to eat. This bar has a vibrant atmosphere staffed and run by females for many years. A little gem with mutiple seating areas inside and out. Not so many drinks on draught to make it a full-on real ale or cider specialist but you'll find something to quench your thirst. Bitters taste too similar and not quite right for my palet. Coffees are okay too but we'd prefer them to be hotter at time of serving. Cold milk on top of black Americano doesn't quite work in this regard. No hot meals, just the usual nibbles. Dog friendly. Nice crowd. Standard tv for the big occasion sporting highlight and has the odd live music venue. There's a baker located adjacent to this bar and a chain snack retailer across the road where you might find something to go with your drink. It just needs that crusty cheese roll, pickled eggs, etcetera for the full five stars:)

I love the Phoenix. Friendly family run bar that welcomes you and your dog with open arms and a garden that becomes a gorgeous sun trap in the summer.

Lovely little local pub and we were given a great welcome. Toilets have been refurbished and are to an exceptional standard which is probably a strange review to give for a pub but that is reflected in how the owner wants to keep her standards high-well done!

Cracking little pub, with a beautiful display of flowers throughout the summer months, the Phoenix bar offers a large selection of gin and vodka with lots of different mixtures to experiment with your drink. This bar always have a selection of bitters. The Guinness is the best in the west country and pour to perfection. The staff are friendly and alway smiling and helpful....Always a great atmosphere! 👍

Had a few Stella’s here in the sunshine this afternoon. Really nice outside area surrounded by glorious flowers. Would have stayed longer but we were on our bikes. Great value and staff were perfect. Highly recommended.

Wonderful staff, very friendly atmosphere a great place to take the family for a evening out, you may even see some of these celebrities propping up the bar.

Small cosy little pub, friendly staff and customers. Very clean toilets. Real ales and dog friendly. No food only crisps etc. And no intrusive television except when special sports events are on. Will definitely go back.

A friendly, family run independent pub. Recently refurbished and great for a relaxing drink.

Some building work going on at the moment so a bit noisy. Normaly three real ales on.

Went in for a quick pint of Pedigree, never been in before but everyone was very welcoming. The barmaid asked if I could sort out her Spotify and then offered me all the chairs in the pub for free. I politely declined as I'm ok for chairs. Will be returning.

Friendly staff. Generally not to busy. Nice place to have a pint. No loud music or TV.

Great find around the back of the High Street, friendly and has seating at the front if you want to sit in the sun. We sadly only found it in the evening as a result of having a curry in the Ghandi restaurant and we wandered down the side road, we stayed at The Poachers Inn.

We came when it was crib night so it was a full pub, but very welcoming and we didn't feel singled out for not being locals, extremely good prices (£7 a round), quirky and cute because it seems to be a converted living room
