Yellow River in Hart

Terrible. 2 1/2 hours to be delivered. They did rung 2 hours after we ordered it and was told it would be another 1/2 hour. Delivery driver was really nice and very apologetic. The food was hot but was awful. My husband liked his chicken curry but my sweet & Sour was not nice at all. Will never order from them again.

It wouldn't hurt to spend a bit to spruce up the shop for a start. Feels like they just don't care about the appearance. We tried 3 tofu dishes as we are trying veganuary. It was all very poor. Black bean tofu was WAY too salty to eat. All the other dishes were just disgusting to taste. We love Chinese food but these sauces were terrible. I've eaten from many local Chinese but these were the worst I've had. The tofu was just cut into large rubbery triangles - pretty poor as well. Even the prawn crackers tasted odd??? How can you get that wrong 🤣 where do you store them? Oh. Mini veg spring rolls were OK but you can get identical from a supermarket or Iceland so that's hardly a plus! Everything else went in the bin and we went to bed hungry. I suggest the cooks visit some other asian restaurants in the area and learn how to prepare and cook this style of food - they plainly haven't learned yet.

Delivery late but they very busy, big portions but food was either undercooked or bad both had bad tummy, one had food poisoning had to go to doctors and hospital really ill, avoid this at least when really busy,

This place shone when it opened both in terms of the food, the staff and the cleanliness. We picked up a meal tonight on the way home and what a change. Muddled sauces (just juck it in they will not know) black bean in kung po chicken and every dish was red. They seem to have lost their way and the kitchen no longer shon but was dulled with a grease layer. Will not be going back which is a shame. The crew that set it up had a great ethos and high ideals and now ....

Really looking forward to this dinner, but it was very bland and the sweet-and-sour chicken balls and obviously been refried and were dripping with fat not pleasant

Ordered at 6 and didn’t receive my order until almost 8:30. Called at 7:15 and was told my order was in the kitchen and would be next out once the driver was back. If that’s the case, you need more drivers as it took over an hour after that call! To make matters worse, I opened the door after it rang to see the driver jumping in his car and had left the food on our dirty doormat. Good food but wont be returning due to such poor service.

Terrible service. Ordered at 6.30 and then phoned them at 8.30pm to chase the order and they hadn't even bothered to start it yet. Cancelled it. Avoid.

Do NOT order from this takeaway. They do not employ enough staff. We have now had two occasions where they've said an hour and a quarter for food and we've waited over two hours. An absolute joke.

Order from there tonight. The curry tasted off . It had a funny smell. Would never eat from there again

Food always tastes great, and arrives warm. Drivers are always polite and friendly.

I ordered several times, the food was tasty and ready on time. I recommend it for a quick meal at a good price.

2nd time my order has taken over an hour and a half. Called the restaurant had no apology what so ever and when ask the delivery driver why such a delay his response was “yea not my problem “ after years of custom I’m sorry to say I will never use again. Very disappointed

That’s was the worst thing I ever had ordered in my life first I’ve been told the delivery was going to take 20 minutes soo after waiting 1:20 minutes I’ve been charged told i have to wait half hour more and also I have to ask for refund because was waiting for almost 2 hours and the money comes out of my account but now I’ve been told by the the manager I’ll get the money back in 5 days lovely service from the manager!! And him said if I have a any problem i should call my bank that was very good service from you Ken thanks

Popped in here for a takeaway (to take back to the hotel) whilst away on business and Wow - I have been a lover of Chinese takeaways for a number of decades and todays was one of the best I’ve had. Salt & Pepper spare ribs - so tasty and melt in the mouth Salt & Pepper king prawns - different to any I’ve had before and so moorish Pork with Beansprouts - loverly textured pork with nice crunchy beansprouts and a sauce to die for. Special fried rice - full of mixed meat and as tasty as they come Sweet & Sour Chicken Balls - individually small in size (big portion though) but loverly and crunchy Very friendly reception by the team there. Can’t wait for my next scheduled visit in 6 month’s time.

Driver knocked the door and was gone before I could even open it with the food left sat on a dirty outdoor door matt, extremely rude. Good was very salty, so much so that we binned the food and cooked instead. I do not recommend Yellow River at all.

To be honest YELLOW RIVER TAKEAWAY is the best Chinese restaurant in uk！The gentleman and lady there treated us well and friendly,food there is fascinated,i love this restaurant so much . I have no idea why there's so many hate comments because this restaurant is really incredible 😍 🙌🏻

The meal was delivered on time, it was hot and extremely good. Exactly what we ordered, there was one item missing but it was delivered within 15 minutes.

Was very disappointed as I've had great food from here before. Delivery driver great but today was met with hostility by the woman on the phone. I don't normally but I ended up swearing at her. She was so rude and hostile. I then had to call for a refund as tho order wasn't complete she processed my card

Takeaway really disappointed, had lots of deliveries which have always turned up on time. Delivery was spot on but very disappointed with the quality of the food. The sweet and sour prawn balls where soggy and inedible

The Sticky chicken was a little more Sticky than usual....I would defo cum again tho nice and salty

I ordered the crispy duck and pancakes but all the pancakes seemed STUCK together and definitely the duck tasted a bit more SALTIER than usual. I also got chicken and sweetcorn soup 🍜 but seemed a lot THICKER than usual and had a few curly wurly’s in it. Highly recommend If your taste buds a wanting different flavours

I love ordering a takeaway from yellow river, their tofu dishes are delicious and full of flavour. I had the tofu with pepper in black bean sauce, and egg fried rice. The portions are generous and reasonably priced. I highly recommend yellow river.

Ordered Some Garlic Sauce it was Ticker than usual. Slow delivery it not CUM very fast. My girlfriend sat in the seating are and now she pregnant. Overall very good experience would definitely CUM Again 😋 Finger licking good for all the family.

Consistently good service, value for money and, well prepared and cooked, very tasty dishes.

Took two hours to arrive. Food wasn’t terrible, however the two days following in hospital with severe food poisoning were. When my partner called to inform, them they denied they had ever delivered to us.

Called ordered asked if they would deliver to hook agreed £4 delivery reasonable we thought omg so worth it food arrived after 35 minutes still very hot packaged well good sized portions all tasted very fresh I think we have found our new takeaway and what’s best they deliver 😃

After a dip in quality 2-3 years ago, have recently started ordering from Yellow River again. And have not recently been disappointed. Just finished a Tom Yum Goong (Thai spicy prawn) soup and having tasted a few from nearby takeaways (as it’s my favourite soup!) this was the best so far. Including ones I’ve eaten from you before! Keep up the good work - was delicious before and getting even better 👍🏼

Ordered a delivery last night, first time customer despite living in the area for years. It was excellent and I’m hard to please!! The beef with mange tout was so tasty and the chow mein noodles some of the best I’ve had. Friend loved their satay chicken and the chicken noodle soup. Polite man took the order and the food when delivered was piping hot. Will definitely use again

Very poor meal today. Chicken chow mein was mush, noodles were cut into inch long pieces. Seemed like they had reused someone else's order. The chicken satay was disgusting, not cooked through. Staff didn't even seem that bothered and were more interested in the phone orders coming through.

I always order here if I'm gonna have a Chinese...but last night I ordered prawn crackers,shrimp fried rice and salt and pepper ribs and the prawn toast and ribs tasted off and today I haven't stopped being sick and feeling really shakey. I rang them to tell them about the food and all they did was tell me to go to the hospital because it's not up to them what happened to me I WON'T BE ORDERING FROM HERE AGAIN!!!!!!

Normally quite like the food here, but my other half ordered Wednesday this week a really simple meal - prawn crackers and chow mien- and ended up on the loo half the night and food poisoning shakes for the next 24 hours having only eaten a few bites and given up when it tasted off. Smelt like oil hadn’t been changed and clearly some nasties got into the food somehow.

We ordered a Takeaway from Yellow River and it didn't disappoint. Nice and fresh and hot when arrived. I recommend the salt and pepper prawns (if you like a hint of chilli). Not bad value for money too. I'll order again.

Burnt ribs, dry chow main. Order from here all the time but this time we had to wait over an hour for a delivery, it turned up burnt and overlooked.

When I've had food from here: bloody excellent.Thing is the takeaway chooses its own closing times. Sometimes 2 hours before the advertised close.Which is hugely disingenuous and stupid, because now the place has lost my business ...People leaving their homes to get there and then be frustrated, just because the place chose to close early because business is slow.Think about it. Word gets around, and much as I'd like to support my local Chinese restaurant, I can't, because they don't operate within the hours they advertise.Three times I've headed to this place hoping to get a late meal. And it's been shut way before its advertised time.Then as a consequence I've missed other opportunities. No problem, if you want to shut at 9pm on a Sunday, or 10pm on a Friday, but advertise it. Don't tell people you're open till 11pm.

Was ok not great. Egg fried rice cake with peas in which I haven’t heard of before. No saice with crispy shredded beef and don’t even get complimentary prawn crackers.

We always order from here, the food is so tasty but the lady taking our order was beyond rude after having messed up the order and didn’t include our chow mien, we rang up and her response was “well you didn’t ask for it” we order the same dishes every time and it’s written down so we know for a fact it was ordered. The meal isn’t complete without this dish so we had to pay another delivery charge to have the dish delivered to us after having to deal with the rudeness? It has ruined the meal and I doubt we will order here again. I’m appalled.

I have ordered many times from this takeaway and it is definitely the best Chinese in Fleet. The collection time is very quick and the open kitchen lets you see how they prepare the food. The delivery is great and sometimes comes earlier than expected which is always a bonus. The food is consistently delicious and fresh. They allow to make some changes in dishes which is perfect. The food is fairly priced and are well portioned.

Quite possibly the worst Chinese take away we have ever experienced! To be honest alarm bells should have rang when the girl said it would be ready in 5-10 Mins... and it tasted like it as well! Clearly their microwave must have been extremely busy! It was vile!! The prawn crackers couldn’t have been more oily. Salt & pepper king prawns were anything but! Small mushy prawn balls with erm.... well certainly no king prawns, or even any prawns to be brutally honest. It’s takes a LOT for us to write a negative review as we prefer to praise good service and good food but this was seriously hideous and I’m quite shocked that it was served it up to paying customers. Please do yourselves a favour and go elsewhere, I think I would prefer to eat my own arm.

No 63. Pure salt. Not hot, not spicy, just salt. Thick, dark, gooey disgusting gunk with a few bits in it that I couldn't identify. An utter embarrassment to everyone concerned and associated to that place. Stay away. The noodles with prawns again were neither hot not spicy, just bland. But at least we could guess what it was meant to be. Yuk.

The Flying Fish and Happy Fountain are a million times better than this place! Took an hour and half for food to arrive and was really poor in comparison to others. Please do not bother!

We always get a great take away from Yellow River, the girls on the phone are always really helpful and clear and the food always arrives within the allocated time and the food is great! I love the Satay, chicken and cashew nuts and the Crispy Chilli Beef/ Highly Reccommend

Probably the most tasteless Chinese meal I've ever eaten, it was delivered luke warm, the mixed starter was drier than the Gobi dessert the main was bland with a few chills thrown in to make it spicy ,,, overall poor quality

OK, I'd got to the point where I wasn't going to eat any more Chinese Takeaways. We discovered this place on a recommendation and have not looked back. Time after time, after time, after time, great tasting, piping hot food. Love it!

This is where Fleet Chinese KItchen used to be, who did superb chinese food. We have tried this a few times and have been very disappointed, it all tastes the same.
