Second time here for lunch. Food is absolutley gorgeous. Wonderful range of authentic dishes. The lamb stew is superb and the baklava is great. Service is better described as hospitality and you are made to feel welcome and more like you have entered their house. Cant fault it

I had a great experience on the 9th march, I had dinner the food was great, the atmosphere and decor just perfect everything was clean people are lovely and really caring they are giving a great customer service. It’s really overwhelming, and many to the staff Malik and others for having that experience with them.

Everything was wonderful and the staff are incredibly nice. I recommend the steak for the main, came out perfectly cooked. Our family will definitely come again.

Cozy, quaint and authentic. Delicious food with great ambiance. Try the Saksuka to start. You can’t go wrong with any of the main dishes. Finish with a Turkish coffee. Loved it!

Amazing food, very kind service

A really pleasant spot to dine. We shared several small dishes, which was a fun way to try a bit of everything. The red wine comes highly recommended, and of course, you have to finish with a piece of baklava. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Brighton.

What beautiful food. So much flavour. The soup,humous is all home made. It was like being in a restaurant in Bodrum!! I would definitely recommend a visit to this restaurant while you are in Brighton. Omar and Malik make you feel so welcome and the srvice is excellent. Lovely place for food and drink. Defo does Turkish food as well as Mediterranean. Staff lovely, food good, would go back.

Small premesis, cosy with pretty decor. The small plates are delicious, definitely try the Spinach Borani with bread which is creamy yet refreshing. The Spinach and feta pastries are also delicious. Shakshuka is mild and tasty. Don't forget to ask for dessert options, the Baklava is not listed on the menu but is the perfect end to a meal.

We weren't impressed by the food. Decided to try because of the amazing reviews but the mains were quite tasteless and some starters tasted like fried in old oil. Heard the microwave bell so many times during our time in there, which was disappointing as it might mean they reheat their food. We assumed it was probably a one off bad night for them as given the reviews, most people seemed to have loved their experience here. It's a shame for us as it was our first time and don't think we will be coming back.

We ADORE this restaurant!!! The Ezogelin soup is *insanely* nice - thin lentil broth - much nicer than it sounds. And the grilled chicken and stuffed aubergines are chef's kiss!

Met my friend who was visiting the UK from China. Another friend who lives in the location area recommended this restaurant. The starter was on the small side for 4 adults. I think we should have ordered two. The chicken I had for the main course was really tasty. It had that char gilled taste, at the same time the juice of the meat was locked in. The steak my friend ordered was good too. The staff was friendly and recommended some alcohol drinks which we've never had before. He was knowledgeable about the cuisine and drinks. The dessert we had was too sweet for me.

We had a mixed grill and catch of the - both delicious. The spinach cold starter with bread was also mouthwatering. Service was exceptional. Kamil (staff) was very welcoming and kind. Would highly recommend but make sure you book in advance as it’s extremely popular

We came here during summer and I completely forgot to review until now! Literally everything we had was absolutely incredible. The filo cheese starter rolls, god I could eat 100 of them. The chicken main was delicious. I'm so excited for the next time we visit Brighton so we can come back here. Everything seriously was perfect and I can be difficult to please. Our server was also so lovely and chatty, welcoming and a delight. Unfortunately it's been long enough that I don't remember his name!

This is my favourite kind of food and it was done so well. The mezze starter and warm bread was unreal, and the catch of the day was gorgeous. 10/10 food, so satisfying. Also the home made baklava was amazing! Really nice deco, All staff were kind too, overall great vibes!

Taking a chance here for a family birthday lunch, we hit the jackpot with a fantastic, relaxed and hugely enjoyable meal. The mezes were delicious and our waiter could not have been friendlier. Unreservedly recommended.

Incredible food!!! Delicious, cooked fresh and lots of flavour. We had a selection of starters including the hummus, halloumi and aubergine. My husband had the mixed grill which he loved and I had the lamb stew which was extremely succulent and packed with flavour. Highly recommend.

Delicious home-made food and very generous portions. A very kind staff and efficient service in this cosy restaurant. Our children were welcomed and a baby chair was available and our huge chariot for two children was even placed safely near us without anyone grumbling. Clean toilet premises with baby changing facility. Highly recommend this homely restaurant.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a gem of a Mediterranean restaurant, Yelken, in the heart of Brighton, and I can honestly say it was one of the most memorable meals I’ve had in a long time. From the moment I stepped through the door, the warm, welcoming atmosphere made me feel right at home. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food they were serving. Each dish was a celebration of fresh, vibrant ingredients and authentic Mediterranean flavors. From the rich, creamy hummus to the perfectly grilled meats and fresh seafood, every bite was a delight. The attention to detail and the balance of flavors in every dish were truly exceptional. Lovely little restaurant. The staff was very friendly and the food was simply amazing, especially the soup and lamb. I also highly recommend the freshly squeezed lemonade.

Did not live up to the hype of prior reviews, unfortunately. Starters nice, we had hallumi and the hummus which were plated nicely and tasty. Mains were a disappointment. The spicy chicken sizzler just didn't have a lot of flavour for me 😕 certainly wasn't spicy. My partner enjoyed her aubergine dish. The accompanying rice and salads we had were fine, but a bit plain compared to what we'd usually receive.

Delicious lunch stop for hummus, crispy cheese rolls, halloumi, fried courgette, and a fried crepe roll filled with sausage. All delicious! Quiet atmosphere and friendly efficient service. Great place to go before or after the Brighton Pier. No accessible toilet unfortunately. They do have a baby changing table in the toilet downstairs.

We picked Yelken Restaurant during our Brighton holiday because, let’s face it, we missed Turkish food a lot. We were greeted by some incredibly friendly ladies who made us feel right at home. The hot starters were truly fantastic, and as a Turk, this place gave me the feeling of visiting a relative who makes delicious food and hosts you like royalty. That feeling lasted all the way until the baklava arrived with the tea. The walnut baklava was so perfect that, honestly, you wouldn’t find one this good even at your favorite relative’s house in Turkey!
