Lovely little pub serving delicious and huge pizzas. The service was quick and staff were attentive. We visited on a Saturday lunchtime. It’s also dog friendly which is always a bonus. I think the prices are good value for the portion sizes and quality of the food.

Huge thin crust crispy pizza. Quality and quantity, plus the folks were super friendly.

We had a lovely evening, we well looked after by the staff and it made for a fabulous evening. We were able to watch the opening ceremony for the Olympic games in Paris so all good 👍

Nice little pub in Guildford. We went here during our walk along the river Wey (you can easily get up to the pub from the path). There's a nice outdoor area but it does feel a little like being sat in the car park. There's a good range of beers and the interior feels like a proper pub. Would recommend.

I didn't eat, but those around me did, and it smelled delicious! I was very pleased with the bar staff and their attentive, yet not fake behaviour. My only issue was the ladies toilet. It was not to the same standard as the pub, with multiple toilet rolls stacked on the cistern, and it looked extremely tired and unloved. Also, (maybe just a bug bear for us vertically challenged lot), the mirror above the sink was so high I only saw my forehead and hairline...

Brilliant foodie pub if you like pizzas, which are excellent. Best to book a table in advance as always busy. Friendly staff and a good variety of pizzas. Parking limited at the pub, but plenty up the road almost opposite. Recommended

Basic cuisine, very limited menu (pizza or nachos), but generally high quality ingredients at expensive prices in a cute pub with ok staff. Really awkward to make a reservation.

I've walked past this place so many times and hesitated to give it a try. I should've tried it much sooner! The staff were super friendly and both the beer and food was great! They cook the pizzas in a pizza oven so they get a nice char and lovely flavour and the portions were good. The only feedback I would have is that it's a bit pricey.

Great pub, and suuuuch gooood and huuuuve pizzaaaaaa. Expect to spend about £25p/p including 1 or 2 drinks - but it’s totally worth it

Really lovely atmosphere outdoors and inside as well. Staff seem really nice and friendly. Also like that they had some local beers available on tap.

I'm still yet to have a pizza better than the ones here! Always get your money's worth and more with the pizzas and drinks. Jeremy and the team put in so much care to make sure every guest has the best service possible and you really do feel the amount of care they put in. Miss this place every day!

Easily my favourite pub in Guildford. Lovely cosy atmosphere and excellent (and generously sized) pizzas. Contacted the pub about hosting a large group for my boyfriends birthday, which they happily accommodated. They were also kind enough to serve the cake I brought with me (most places get funny about this kind of thing). Special mention for Jenny, Jeremy and Melinda for being super responsive over email and helping to organise this special occasion :)

The Olde Ship looked after 13 of us of all ages for a very happy family gathering in the back room. We shared 8 enormous crisp thin pizzas, 2 salads and lots of ice cream. Service was friendly and helpful. It was just right.

Lovely traditional pub with great pizza.

This was a random but delicious find after fixing our car and a grocery run - their recommended, the angry duck at 17 inch was simply scrumptious! We were warned that it was slightly spicy but the heat was mild for both of us. They were serving mulled wine and it was an added delight too. Wow, what a find! Lovely old pub. Best Pizzas we ever had and were simply outstanding, side salads and chips just terrific. Portions are extremely generous. Thoroughly recommended. We shall be back soon.

Lovely cosy pub serving a great pint of Guiness and a decent wine list. The wood-fired pizzas are the highlight and well worth a visit to try these out. Also, I've never had chips slathered in melted blue cheese and onion before but I definitely will again! Perfect place for a lazy Sunday afternoon, highly recommended.

The only downside is the parking

Fantastic little pub. Good beer, friendly staff, reasonably priced and really lovely building. Plus the pizza is absolutely incredible (warning they're very generously sized). Very much worth a visit, I highly recommend.

Nice local pub specialising in pizzas! Very friendly staff, always make you feel welcome. Big variety of oven baked pizzas to choose from. Thin crust and huge! There's a nice little outside area at the back, ideal for those not so cold days or nights. Definitely recommend it!

It was my first time visiting this pub, and I instantly felt the warm and friendly atmosphere. We had a room at the back for a birthday celebration. The pizza, especially the vegan one, was delicious. Excellent service, food and friendly staff. I highly recommend this venue and I’d like to visit again soon.

Forget Pizza Express and just come here…The pizzas are cooked to order, come out hot and the crust shatters when you first cut into it. The actual pizza is delicious topped off a with great range of toppings from fennel sausage, or beef pepperoni to the ships classic which is what I went for capers,anchovy, chilli, grand Padano and mozzarella. The range of beers is great as well along with the service. Booking is advisable as it was busy even in a Wednesday. The best pizza I’ve had…and I’ve eaten a few in Italy.

Lovely little pub, regular after work on a Friday pint. Staff friendly and the pizza's smell divine(haven't managed to try one as always booked out on a Friday evening - would definitely recommend ringing in advance if you want to eat).

A random pit stop as we drove through the mild ulcer otherwise known as Guildford Town Centre. We sat inside as the outside is probably a tad noisy with a busy road running right past (a product of being an 'olde' tavern). Really lovely staff, a fab IPA, and very good food. They specialise in Pizzas so the menu is essentially pizzas but they are all authentic and delicious. We also ordered the Nachos (I hadn't had any in years - mainly because you know that the moment you order them you are bound to be disappointed) but these were exceptional. Our thanks to the kitchen and the staff for a lovely Sunday afternoon. We will be back!

Nice old pub doing a good selection of beers and lagers, but the real pull is their pizzas! These are hand-stretched, wood-fired gems, that are absolutely delicious! They're also huge, but you can ask for a box to take leftovers home should you not be match-fit! Last year they had a chef who was really heavy on the garlic oil (to the point that I would ask for a plain Margherita and then load it with pepperoni, mushrooms, etc), but they have a new one now who produces much more balanced flavours in their stock pizzas. Staff are also really friendly. You definitely need to book though - as people know about the place! One word of warning is the car park - it's small and very tight (it's a 1-way U-bend basically), so if you own a wide, long, or just very expensive car, you might be better parking it in Chestnut Avenue, about 100m away.

A nice little pub with inside and outside seating. Inside was nice and cool, though a bit dark. Outside was in a covered area but was hotter than inside. Drinks were nice. Mount cider and cocktails available. Limited range of non alcoholic drinks. Nice place for a little social. Was quiet on Friday around 4pm. Fully booked at 6pm though.

A night out with 5 of us. Table booked at 7.30, food arrived at 9.20. We weren't approached in between this time for more drinks/nibbles. A lady came to us at 8.55 to say another 15 mins and we'll be next. We were busy chatting and hadn't realised how late it was! Our waitress was lovely when we saw her. When they eventually came, the pizzas were very tasty. I'm wondering if they were prioritising take aways, had an oven problem, or had just lost our order, it wasn't explained, but we all got a later night than expected.

Best bitter shandy I ever had and the size of the pizza is humongous and really tasty.

We were looking for some place to have lunch near to where we dropped off our friend, and this seemed interesting. It wasn't until we got there that we discovered they basically only served pizza. The pizza was excellent. They come as very large pies, but very thin, so it's not too much food. The crust is particularly crispy. Very flavourful all around. I would note that their car park is a little cramped and, though I managed to get my larger car in and out, my wife's smaller car would have been better.

Cracking pizza with mates whilst on a course, will be back to sample some more.

Absolutely amazing pizzas... have been eating there after mountain biking for a few years and they never disappoint. Perhaps more importantly (or equally importantly?!) The beer is always great and the staff are friendly.

Went here a few months ago and it was a great experience. The massive pizzas were the shining stars and, considering their size, didn't fail the taste test. The team were also great and ensured our large group we're well looked after. Would highly recommend

What a find! Stumbled upon this place by accident. Incredible pizzas, and they fed us for lunch and dinner, just huge. Special shout out to the side of garlic mayo, the best we've ever had. Somewhere that clearly pays attention to the small details. Will go out of our way to come back again, thank you!

Incredible, huge pizza's with some great topping options, especially if you like meat. Also have a gluten free option of a less impressive size. The menu had a few other tempting options but I would've had food envy had I not had pizza. Service was efficient and friendly. Great selection of lagers but didn't have any trendy ipa's. Very tight car park so if you have a big car, you might struggle if it's busy. Well worth it just for the pizza.

We've been there a few times and their Pizza's are tasty, very big and good value, we prefer them over the bigger chain pizza places so well worth a try.

Great pub. Good selection on tap. A nice beer garden, booths, big tables, small tables. A simple but decent kitchen. What more could you want?

Beer nice, staff nice, seats out the back are nice, however, PARKING is another story. If you value your car, don't take it.
