I love this pub. Always the best atmosphere day or night. Tracey the landlady is ace. Cheap prices and great service. Came here on Sunday, 14th August as a lively group of women from Caernarfon. Mac behind the bar was friendly. Great tunes on the juke box. This pub welcomes visitors and the locals are so friendly. Small beer garden in the back.

Tracey the landlady is the best host. So friendly and welcoming and nothing was to much trouble. We were made to feel so welcome, almost like locals. We came in for 1 drink, and stayed hours. Everyone we spoke to were the friendliest people you can wish wish to meet. Excellent run pub, 5 stars to Tracey

I was told that the pub was full and then a local was let in and we was told to leave. when I mentioned this, she told us to f*ck off and we are not from here. I have contacted the brewery and hopefully they will learn basic manners. very rude staff and verbally aggressive, moody and unwelcoming shouted at other guests and paying customers and constantly negative in terms of hospitality

Came in here and was pleased to find that it is a nice ordinary pub with a “local” feel rather than a tourist one. Good service, decent beer and a friendly atmosphere. Just the job really.

If you like your beer, food and sport then this pub is probably the place to go in Conwy. Sky sport is a main attraction and on our visit found it very busy. Weekends are very busy not sure about in the week. Has a couple of casks on and lots of keg beer, cider and lagers, worth a visit

This is one of a few pubs in the vicinity of the Conwy high street. Welcomes dogs which is great as it’s a real “man or Local” pub, but I imagine kids aren’t welcomed too often. The staff were friendly, but were glared at as we entered. “This is a local pub for local people” .... the beer was ok and the menus looked very average too. Outside is a small decked area which was very unkempt and dirty, as is the pub in general. With such an up and coming area, and as the UKs nicest seaside town I’m amazed this place hasn’t had a face lift or two, to attract more tourists. For those who love live TV and sport this is the best place in town - albeit very loud.

We went to Conwy this New Year's Eve as we had a meal booked at a local restaurant for 6pm. When we arrived in Conwy at 4pm we went to one pub which was closing it's doors at 5pm. We were told that most of the local pubs would be doing the same.We found the Mail Coach open on the High Street and enjoyed an hour there before our meal. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, it was really busy with a good atmosphere. Thank you to the Mail Coach for welcoming us in!

Had a drink in here before dining out. Friendly enough staff and cheap drinks. Seems to be a locals pub but it was welcoming. Would imagine it can get quite noisy and busy late on but OK for a quick drink.

This is a nice, small pub in the middle of town. Good place to pop in from a drink and a real English pub house experience. It's not fancy but it does have some fun qualities and a good place to check out.

I've visited Ye olde mail coach twice in the past year, and on both occasions was not been pleased with the barmaid Tracy who I found to have been particularly racist and spends more time smoking rather than paying attention to her customers won't be visiting here again.

I was with family for lunch. One of us had a salad with a pubic hair in. The cherry tomatoes in the salad of iceberg lettuce, 2 tomatoes and red onion were wrinkly and mouldy. The chicken burger was cold and uncooked in the middle. We all felt sick afterwards. The ladies loo stank of cigarette smoke as smokers were allowed to smoke by the adjacent back door. Do not eat here under any circumstances!!!

This is a typical middle of the road public house. Everything is average; average beer, average food average clientele. We just didn't feel at home the way one should in a small town pub.Couldn't wait to leave and will not be returning anytime soon..

Stopping off in Conwy for lunch, myself and my daughter decided on Ye Olde Mail Coach. It looked nice from outside, staff seemed friendly and most importantly, they allowed dogs (we had our 2 with us)We were starving and really looking forward to a good pub lunch. Once we sat down we found the menu was quite limited. My daughter ordered a bacon cheese burger with chips and coleslaw and I ordered gammon with chips and asked to swap the beans for coleslaw. I also asked if I could pay extra and have a fried egg on my gammon, but was told no, sorry they couldn't do that. When our meal arrived the bun my daughter's burger was in was rock hard and smelt stale !! She told the bar lady who promptly changed just the bun for her. Our chips tasted awful, like the fat in the fryer needed changing, the coleslaw smelt and tasted awful, like it had gone off, but thankfully there was only about a teaspoon full each, and my gammon was terrible. It was a really cheap,, thin cut of meat, and it had been cooked way too long so was very dry and leathery. We ate the burger, gammon and some of the chips because we were starving, but I felt sick for the rest of the afternoon and wished I'd left it.The staff were friendly, but the food was such poor quality that I would not call back in here, even just for a drink. It wasn't expensive, but to be brutally honest, I wouldn't eat here again if it was free !!

There are answers to the question as to why pubs are shutting down. Just ordered a pint of Bass, landlady poured two thirds and said 'let it settle'. She took my money, walked from behind the bar to the front door, lit a cig and just walked off down the street. I had to ask her son to finish pouring it for me. The true answer is they shouldn't be anywhere near a customer service business. They have NO IDEA.

waitresses were useless busybodies plenty of tables free, noone there to seat you so after we settled in on our own one of them got all uppity about it - if they were there in the 1st place doing her job that hassle would not have happened - we just left and will not return - same happened to friends of ours too

Visiting Brown's bar and grill every weekend is the highlight of our week. My husband and I always have food here. The freshly battered fish, chips and mushy peas are great. The carvery on Sunday is the best I've ever had. I really just wished there were more choice for desserts. The management and their staff are so friendly and welcoming. Keep up the great work you do as we do appreciate it.

4 out of 6 self serve machines broken. Terrible queue! Not up to standard. Someone should take orders manually. Expect better.

You must go here as it is a little out of the way, yet really nice food with nice attentive, helpful staff. Go along Station Road to get to it, or cross the bridge from the railway station.
