My wife visited with friends before, who also recommended this place. English pub downstairs & Thai restaurant upstairs...What not to like??! Really lovely service. Great food & wonderful atmosphere. Definitely coming back again...with MORE family/friends!

Popular, traditional pub, set in the corner of Shepherd Market. At almost any time of year, as well as people in the pub, there are people standing outside, with their glasses on the windowsills. A generally good range of beers and a good atmosphere. There is a Thai restaurant upstairs.

We took our own piper, so of course it was great. Good selection of ales and classic vibes.

The Thai ifood is well below average, the service is awful, with an extremely rude bar manager, blaring noise from the TV and generally run down and tarty decor. Needless to say, I will never use again, plenty of other much nicer pubs in the area with great food and friendly service. My recommendation is to avoid this place.

La comida tailandesa es muy normal, los alrededores muy sabrosos y tte bar manager fue extremadamente grosero y demasiado agresivo cuando le pedí que bajara el ruido de la televisión. Hay un montón de otros bares agradables con buena comida y mucho mejor servicio en la zona inmediata. Mi recomendación es encontrar uno de esos como lo hicimos. .

Found by mistake, stayed for a drink which turned into a full Thai meal! Great English pub downstairs, and fabulous Thai restaurant upstairs. Very decent prices for central London too.

We love this pub, it’s a cosy traditional pub. A great stop off if you are in the area, January sale prices are not to be missed!

Sure, I asked for a drink 3 seconds after your last bell. I was in front of you however, and you never asked me if I needed anything. I’ve never done this to a customer, when I was working in the pub.

Great fish and chips, fine service but a little bit more concentrating on the clients and a little less time on inter-staff issues whilst we're waiting to be served might help.

The pub food was terrible, the wings had feathers and looked terrible, the paper was stuck to the potatoes... the only thing that tasted good was the beer. The staff are not friendly

My backpack got stolen here - BE CAREFUL. Thieves operate in this pub regularly and the staff are all aware. The night I got my backpack stolen I told the staff behind the bar and they honestly couldn’t care less. CCTV cameras inside the pub don’t even seem to work so no chance of catching the criminals or getting your things back. Disgusting behaviour from bar staff. Avoid avoid avoid.

The Grapes is a cozy little pub tucked away in a cool area of London. It offers a warm, inviting atmosphere with great drinks and friendly service. A perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring. Definitely a must-visit if you're in the area!

Food took over an hour to arrive. Probably just a mix up in the kitchen on a busy night, but it wasn't communicated to us. Cool looking pub otherwise. I guess if you just wanted a drink it should be fine.

Had the Thai salmon curry. Tasty, but minuscule potion, especially the salmon. On the upside, very helpful and amiable staff, spotless loo.

If you order the beef and rice, just plan on going to uni the next day and having to leave to violently projectile vomit from food poisoning as they obviously don’t keep their food at proper temps and reheat old food. Beware!

Esta mañana, vomité proyectiles durante horas y no he podido soportar nada ni siquiera agua. Aprendí que el arroz blanco puede desarrollar bacterias que causan intoxicación alimentaria severa cuando: se deja fuera durante más de una hora o dos, cuando no se mantiene caliente y luego se recalienta durante todo el día, cuando no se cocina a una temperatura lo suficientemente alta, etc. La comida aquí no es fresca! Ten cuidado y evita el arroz a toda costa. Mejor aún, vaya a otro lugar para evitar pasar un día enfermo junto al inodoro con intoxicación alimentaria.

It’s a nice pub, but they did last call at 11p and kicked us out at 11.20 and refused to give us even a plastic glass to carry our drink at 11.20. By the time they served us we had less than 10m to drink our beers and they were angry at us for asking for plastic cups to finish our drinks!

Very good restaurant, in a very charming area of ​​London. On the menu we find typical English or Thai dishes. The food is good, the place is small and cozy. I recommend.

Fresh, tasty meal with large portions, great service, good prices, fun location, nice vibe. Loved that the pad see ew was more savory than sweet and the tofu had a spongy texture, not the crispy outside, soft on inside. The Tom Kah veggies seemed like they were straight from the garden and it was spiced to enjoy the dish.

Had red curry with duck for dinner. Curry was very good, fried rice was just ok. Prices not bad. Bar downstate as very busy but restaurant was dead at 845.

Had a Thai meal upstairs here- good quality food, relaxed ambience. Hard to believe you're in such a frenetic area. Prices ok. Tried to book and got no response so just showed up- would be easier to just get instant confirmation via the website.

It’s good to know that some of these good old English pubs still exist in London. A good pint was all we had but next time might have some food. Lovely place for people watching right on the corner

Good cold and well served pints of beer. The atmosphere was fine, typical Friday after office vibe. The service was a real let down, with some of the waiting staff looking way more judgy than hospitable.

This was a good meal. We had bangers and mash and steak and ale pie and a couple of good IPAs. The steak and ale pie wasn’t actually a pie but a bowl of the steak with the flaky bit on the top.

Went there today with a friend as always after work , we got the beers and been told by manager that because i had a construction tshirt on and safety boots , we had to drink outside only , and the way he said was very very rude

Very disappointing on the Thai restaurant. Portions shrunk noticeably since last year. The sweet and sour pork special for GBP 14 has 8 small bits of pork, and is mediocre. The pad thai is passable, but seems to have declined.

I have been to Thailand many times and have eaten great Thai food all over the world. This would have to be the worst Thai food I have ever encountered. I can’t say eaten because it was inedible. The “chef” was not Thai and had absolutely no idea. It is a restaurant to be avoided at all cost.

Good hangout pub at a very good location. Went to hangout with colleagues. It was ok. Quite a popular one, it was a bit crowded on a summer Wednesday.

A super pub in Shepherd Market. Plenty of outside space to drink outside, so particularly suits when the weather is dry.

Ordered a bacon and cheese panini that had virtually no cheese and just one rasher of bacon. Maybe that's why it was £8.50? Disappointing

They close at 10:30pm on Sundays according to google and have a sign that states 9:15pm is the last order but the host was extremely rude and turned our party away at 8:30pm.

I've visited Ye Grapes on the odd occasion over many decades. It's a small, quiet and cosy establishment. An okay selection of beers, not many though. I've never eaten upstairs in the Thai restaurant. Pub 3 of the Monopoly tour. I thought £7.10 for an 4.3% IPA was expensive .

Lousy service. Gave my wife a can. Didn’t offer a glass or ice. Couldn’t understand my English language. Not at all welcoming

Decent place for a pint and a burger

If the staff cracked a smile this might get two stars. No friendly greeting on arrival and you could visibly see staff rolling their eyes when approaching customers. Having just moved my business into this area I can't see it being a recommended regular haunt for my staff, pity really as it looks quite nice from the outside.

An old favourite in Shepherds Market. Lively atmosphere and great service. Surprisingly good food that was unexpected. It may appear a little dated internally but this should not detract from the overall experience.

Today, the workers have been extremely rude with us. We live in the area and have been multiple times, the minimum I would expect is to be spoken to kindly and respectfully. Rather than shouted at. It’s unbelievable that the management allows this kind of behaviour.

Very ordinary. Staff are efficient and friendly but the pub offers nothing as a USP. Happy to be there but best described as a watering hole.

Mediocre fish & chips. Maybe Sunday evening the wrong time, but reasonably busy. Ate in bar area. Dreary. Fish nicely battered, but very wet, slimy, and scalding hot. Microwaved, not dried, then deep fried maybe? Disappointing. Miserable barman.

Been coming every year for 5 years, it's sometimes brilliant, sometimes not so much. Tonight was very lovely, always good atmosphere outside with the drunk blue suits 😅

We came here to meet up with friends we all sat at the back of the pub very cosy. We both had Cheese Burger & chips which was delicious so moist must come again .

Good beer selection and always good service even on a busy Thursday or Friday night.
