Lovely atmosphere, good beer & live music!!!!

Can't complain. Good place, good folk, good food and drink.

Always a great night here. My favourite In soho! Jazz and the team are always so lovely and helpful. Great drinks, great live music and great atmosphere!

Very big inside, nice and comfortable, great staff and a lovely atmosphere, once again another great pub in Soho, London. Well recommended.

Horrid! The manager was so rude and horrible to guests. He had a bad hair cut and a Tommy H jumper on Saturday night. Spoke to my partner and I very rudely and wouldn’t even look up as he served us. Did the same to two friends. Finally a young lad and his Dad queried whether their pints could be flat, he didn’t say a word or apologise - Just ducked down got another pint glass and sloshed the old pint into new glass. It fobbed a bit and he said “You think that’s flat”? The young guest was so shocked and upset he just walked off. The worst service ever!!

Rude horrible bartender, he was obviously the manager as he was wearing a Tommy Hilfiger jumper and everyone else was in uniform. He served our entire group and was awful to every single one of us. Avoid like the plague

Good selection of food and drinks. The beer seems to be well taken care of. Staff is very attentive and the live music just makes the experience better. Definitely will be back!

Beautiful pub with a really great atmosphere! The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, and there was a great range of food on the menu, definitely something for everyone. Certainly the pub to visit if you’re in the area!

Pub food: good and plentiful. Very (too?) quiet place between 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. Service: you order and pay in advance, at the counter.

Very poor watery, bitter Guinness which the bartenders didn’t let settle. Kind of bare interiors but a nice vibe nevertheless. Only upside was they had a great duo playing live covers- Biba and Luke. Luke is a fantastic guitar player.

Nice dark furniture pub, for lunch with good Nicholson menu. Fish pie great, but Fish&Chips very dry.

Delish steak and ale pie, lovely welcoming pub atmosphere with super staff. Super cost and good value given the location. Jazz and the gang are great hosts. Only problem was I couldn’t see the menu with my old eyes so my quick pre-theatre pub dinner is now going to cost me a trip to Specsavers! Thanks very much!

The vibe and selection of decor was perfect for a small London pub. The food was phenomenal, but the workers set a little on edge. Would highly recommend to family’s!

What a wonderful traditional London pub great food and very reasonable prices. The seabass was excellent and as good as some restaurants charging far more. Jazz the owner along with his staff where worked off there feet being NYE but still had time for a bit of a chat and some humour. We will come back next time we visit the smoke.

We popped in for a break. And Jazz the proprietor made us so welcome. We chose from the bar snacks We had lightly dusted calamari honey glazed pork sausages and loaded chunky chips with pulled beef brisket and mature cheddar cheese. Coffee and a beer. Basically everything you need. Will return definitely. Great atmosphere great staff loved it

I got food poisoning last night, vomiting all night after I've taken the vegge burger. Don't recommend that place.

We were very badly received for eating on 25 December. Before ordering, we wanted to change tables so that we could be near the window, but we were told unkindly to wait until the cutlery had been set. We asked for the drinks menu and they asked us to wait. They took advantage of the fact that we were French and didn't speak Shakespeare as well as they did to speak to us in an aggressive and authoritarian tone. Finally they took the liberty of taking a 10% tip on the bill. We ate in the same chain of restaurants at "The Cambridge" and "The Volunteer" in London and the service was impeccable, and the tip was my decision. Staff on the evening of 25 December should be avoided at all costs. It's a shame to offer such poor service in an English pub atmosphere.

Amazing Christmas dinner! The team checked all our orders, sorted us out with a lovely table with Christmas crackers and lovely decorated dining room. The food came just as requested and we all thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The staff were great and really helpful. I can recommend!

HIDDEN GEM, everything slaps! Return to this London Pub! Bar downstairs was packed but had an intimate dining experience. Food was well priced for London pubs but the flavours were fantastic. No service charge great vibes, not too loud, waiters were fantastic. I will be returning! Speciality pie + venison croquets + pulled beef loaded fries = £38

Went there for a couple of beers with a friend of mine... Super-nice atmosphere with live music and all the people singing together with the singer. Lovely evening spent there!

We dropped in here later in the evening. At that moment there was a lot of atmosphere and fun. There was a live singer playing nice sing-along songs. And everyone participated. We didn't eat here. Just had a few beers. It was very full. But the atmosphere was great.

Dante and Casper made the night. I have an allergy and Dante was SUPER thorough, which put me at ease and let me enjoy the night. The dining room was charming and decorated for Christmas, and much quieter than the busy pub room downstairs , and the food was good- classic traditional bar food. Thank you!

lovely pub and tasty food but service wasn’t the nicest. Beer prices different to what the menu says and felt rushed to leave as soon as we finished our meal because “they’re fully booked” while the entire room was empty and all other tables free. Found service forcing us to pay asap rude.

Such a lovely pub unfortunately ruined by the rude barmaid who was serving upstairs this evening 23/11/2024 who had an incredibly awful attitude when pointing out our drinks menu priced incorrectly. It stated £6.50 for a Guinness when we were charged £7.20 - which was fine and we paid! pointed out and she bluntly replied that it was an outdated menu - no apology or care in the way she spoke. We were a little confused by her response but politely advised she might want to swap out the outdated priced list. She shrugged, smirked and raised eyebrows “it’s not my fault that it says the old prices”. Unbelievably RUDE!! Like a stroppy teenager. Actually shocking behaviour . She Also went behind the bar to talk about us to another colleague (right infront of us…) . I raised the issue with the manager when we were leaving who was nice enough and offered us a discounted round of drinks, which we politely declined, not sure if it went any further than that. Wouldn’t rush to return!

I thought that I would, after quite awhile, pay a visit to The Crown on Brewer street in Soho, W.1 Quite busy, and I am quite pleased that I did. The cask beer that I bought was out or the Thornbridge group. Very good quality! Have posted on FB, some comments, and look them up Suffice to say, that The London Morrisonian Club, of which I am a member met in here way back in the 60's. As some will know it is to M&B, a premium pub, Nicholson's and up there with their Castle pubs for the range(s) of cask beer.

On the ground floor you can relax with a good beer in a pub with a subdued atmosphere and of course a large choice of beer. But upstairs you can have lunch or dinner and I sincerely recommend it. To eat typically English, fish and chips, sausage, pie, the dishes are very well cooked, well proportioned and in addition in the dining room the young man who is on duty is very pleasant, good conversational, This is an establishment that I 100% recommend for a typical English break from the hubbub of London.

Estaba asquerosamente sucio, el suelo estaba inundado de orina y apestaba incluso desde fuera, los baños están a solo unos pasos de la zona de comedor! después de terminar se nos preguntó entonces si queríamos algo más , cuando respondimos que no , se nos hizo sentir entonces muy poco bienvenidos por el joven que ahora se había hecho cargo detrás de la barra dejando claro que como habíamos terminado necesitábamos irnos, Qué manera encantadora de tratar a sus clientes .

I made a reservation for 7 and later my daughter wanted to reach us and made another reservation for 4. Unfortunately she only could come alone and I had to cancel her reservation and change mine from 7 to 8. We arrive earlier and the staff members were very friendly and changed my reservation to 8 and eliminate the reservation of my daughter without problems. This was the first best part of our dinner. My niece and her family and my daughter arrived and we had a nice environment with the meals, good service, hospitality. We had 3 fish and chips large (2 of them to share with the children), I had the schnitzel and my son in law the meat pie, everything fantastic!. My niece asked for the only dish that was not fantasticis the roast beef sandwich, but she enjoyed the camembert. Beers and cider were very good. A bottle of wine and two whiskies were enjoyed by the people liking wine. We spent a good night at the Crown, certainly a place to come again.

The place was cool with grand live music at 21:00 hours. The staff were very polite.

It was a charming and welcoming environment. Nikos and Ourania are the best staff you can find; they are polite and gentle. I highly recommend it!

Great service from Jazz and the team. We bought our dog along too who everyone made a big fuss of and made us feel very welcome!

Proper pub in the middle of London, a rare find!.

Came in for a quick bite before the theatre, was instantly greated with a smile, service was impeccable, would greatly recommend food, sausages especially were to die for. For that London pub vibe, yes!!!

Pretty standard boozer. I was talking with a friend, and some dude plugs in his acoustic guitar next to us and starts belting out “Summer of ‘69” and the whole bar explodes. Quite literally. It exploded and I’m writing this review from heaven. I’ll be back to haunt the shit out of this bar and have another Guinness. Cheers

I happened to stop by while walking. The fish and chips are delicious :) I asked the staff for a beer recommendation and drank it. The atmosphere is nice and delicious! Since I came on a Sunday, I wanted to have a Sunday roast, but it wasn't on the menu. Eat well and rest well! There is also a wireless charger, which may be useful for travelers.

Fish and chips: of course we had to try that in London. The Crown consists of a bar downstairs and restaurant upstairs. Very cozy and really English. The food was great!

Dropped in for a pint to meet a friend, it was empty on a Thursday afternoon though it was busier by the time we left an hour later. The barman was friendly and professional, good choice of beers.

Walked in for a quick drink, which then turned into having food. Wild boar and chorizo pie was fantastic. Lovely atmosphere and got talking to Jazz who runs the pub, turns out he’s originally from near me.

Absolutely beautiful lunch. Jazz was the perfect landlord. He recognised our accents and we soon got chatting about Derbyshire and his links to the area. A lovely pub in a fab location, with staff that are very welcoming and delicious food and drink on the menu. Will definitely return!

Whether you're going for a pint in the bar downstairs, or a proper meal upstairs, this place is super cool. Really great gastro pub food - their savory pies are amazing - and a really nice cask ale. And the staff was super friendly, I chatted a bit with my server and even the chef while he was taking a break by the bar. Cool chill place.

A Nicholson pub in soho. Unfortunately on the day we visited the bar staff could not have been less interested in thier job, waited a good 10 minutes at an empty bar to be served and it felt like an inconvenience being there. Ordered food (large nachos with beef and halloumi fries) and it was reasonably tasty but for the price the portions were pretty measly (to the extent I wouldn't order again) darkstar hophead and a westons cider for drinks were lovely

The team at the Crown one of the most friendly inviting team you could ever come across. Out of all the pubs in London and we tested a lot, I would recommend this than any other pub we’ve been to. The food was incredible and the atmosphere was amazing. Highly recommend!

Very cute and traditional pub right in the middle of Soho, busy sometimes, but have a very quiet and relaxing dining room, which is a fantastic break on busy trip.
