Yankee Land in Kingston upon Hull, City of

Yankee solía ser el lugar para ir por las mejores papas fritas en Hull, tristemente las cosas han cambiado tanto que ahora diría que lo eviten como la plaga, una pena que ya no puedan cocinar papas fritas, ¿han cambiado de dueño? No estoy seguro, pero lo que sí sé es que después de muchos años tristemente no volveré. Qué vergüenza.

i am appalled by this restaurant… ordered food at 5pm and it says it was going to be delivered between 6pm to 6.20pm… gets to 6.30pm still no food so call the restaurant as the restaurant closes at 7pm… restaurant say “we are just waiting for a driver to come then we can send food” after calling 8 times!! it gets to 7.01pm still no food so we call again “we have just sent off the driver with food wont be long” still sat here an hour later with nothing but an empty stomach because food still hasn’t arrived! i would like this looking into as soon as possible and a refund because that is not acceptable!

Placed an order and they never delivered! When I rang they said it had set off ten minutes ago, I waited 2 hours and within that time it closed. Bare faced lied to me! SHOCKING DISGUSTING SHOWER OF 💩 I had to have a crisp sandwich…………….THANKS FOR THAT YOU W⚓️’s

What a downfall this place has had. Leaking bin bags on the floor, food all over the floor. All surfaces were dirty, including the counter. To top it off the chip spice was in a costa coffee cup! Awful

Awful service. Order a delivery took nearly 2 hours for order to arrive. When we rang up to ask where it was, after it was already 15mins late to ask where it was they said 'its on its way' another 20mins past and rang again to be told that it is still on its way, and they cant help traffic, (in a very confrontational way) when i said that my husband and just come that way the manager replied"well if hes so f**king good he can go work for them" he then promptly told me to F**k off and he put phone down. Food wasnt good either!!!

We were visiting hull and wanted to get some chips with chipspice. We hoped Yankee land would still be asking and thankfully it was! As I ordered I remembered how tasty their garlic mayo was and ordered a pot to share. The chips were hot and crispy, and coated with the perfect amount of chipspice. I can't wait to come back!

Always a warm pleasant visit at this restaurant I could quite safely say this is the best eat in hull the opening times across the board are marvellous. Stuck for time of have tight schedule Yankee land has hours open to meet all criteria.

What sort of place doesn't serve normal salt. Was told very rudley they only did season salt and not normal salt. Needless to say we left and went to mcdonalds. If want salt 🧂 on you chips don't come here

Went in to collect order. Noticed when arrived home that half my order was missing. Rang up to enquire whether the rest of the order could now be delivered. The response I got was disgusting! Was told to come back to the shop and pick up AGAIN!!! When this was declined I was told that it is MY responsibility to review the order before i leave the shop?! Told them I’ll bring the HALF uof the order back and request a refund but was told that the owner was not on site so not possible! So £33 on food that does not exist! You want to be ashamed of yourselves!!!!!

I visited with my friends for lunch and I did not like the burgers there not cooked and they were cold so i definitely will not be back again

I have been to Yankee land a few times and the food was ok but very noisy but service was very good I would definitely not go back

I have just visited, in my opinion one of hulls finest eating establishments. Fine the furniture may be lacking in finesse but the food is on another level. In my opinion the prices are quite right for the quantity of food given and the prices of beverages come ”cheaper than most”. The food is cooked to order making it perfect for all the family. I have been going for many years but never have experienced any bad customer service. Only great things can be said on my part!

Popped in here with the teenager for lunch, and it was really good. Burgers were made to order, and the portions were huge. I thought the price was fairly reasonable for what we were served. The decor is a little tired, but it was lovely and clean.

The fries here used to be so good. Now they are always soggy. Always the place was dirty when we went. Went elsewhere.

Visited at lunchtime , it was busy . Ordered 2 4oz cheeseburger meal deals . They were freshly cooked and looked large . On eating the burger was horrible , the sort of cheap and nasty processed type I avoid , they must have changed supplier because we have eaten there before and we have always enjoyed them . The chips were nice and hot . It's a real shame because the staff there are lovely . As we walked round town the food kept repeating on us and left an awful taste in our mouths . Sorry Yankee Land but we won't be returning any time soon .

Gone right down hill. Fries used to be soft and well done now they taste like they've been triple cooked and was mostly scraps. And 90p for a little pot of cheap ketchup?! This was my childhood place to be but sadly wont be returning

Love going here, fries are amazing. Have tried some other meals and there are also amazing. Feel this place is better to sit and less crowned.

When i used to live in hull many years ago, this was my family's favourite ... the season chips are amazing and to this day I still think about them. I used to order the 3 cheese stack, talking about it is making my mouth water. I will be making a visit very soon. As it's all in thinking about lately.

1st visit here and was feeling peckish so decided to pop in.The "Server" was friendly & welcomingThe food (Double chicken cheeseburger, fries and banana milkshake) tasted lovelyThe place is kinda run down and could do with updating (think 80's look)This was the only place I ate in and was the only meal that I had had all day so just under an hour later I had terrible stomach cramps followed by 5 damned visits to the toilet and one of the worse cases of the SH**** ever (5 bloody visits), so either the "Cook" practices poor hygiene or the "Server" needs to learn to wash her damn hands after handling the mucky mop she was using in between serving.As I said this was the only meal I had had that day and was the only thing I ate so obviously won't be going back again.Would love to award 5 stars but not a chance for the end result.Oh and almost £10 for a burger, fries and shake seems a bit steep.

Have been going here for years now.. The chips have always been lovely specially with the garlic mayo.. The burgers are lovely too.. Proper burgers not like maccy dees either

I come here fairly often when in town, Hull seems hyped with other burger chains but Yankee Land is consistently a great burger. The chips are really tasty with the spice covering them, to me it’s the best place for burgers in Hull
