Spring Cottage Takeaway in Kingston upon Hull, City of

Ordered a pizza, a wrap and a burger with chips. The pizza was soggy, the chicken and donor wrap wasn’t amazing the chicken was hard and stringy and the donor meat was full of gristle. I might as well have scraped the burger out of the box as the bread was very soggy and the burger was all mushy and the chips were also very soggy and tasteless

The staff are always very friendly and the food is always delicious. Would definitely recommend it if you are wanting a takeaway. 20" Pizza is amazing if you want to share some with friends too.

My chicken on my kebab was burnt.

look at the state of this couldn't eat that wouldn't even give a dog that. chips are raw and the amount of grease on the donna meat is like someones dripped a candle over it swimming in grease as the pic shows awful. Now i've used them before and it was bad but thought id give it another go not a one off its just rubbish NEVER AGAIN

Just been here 10minutes ago, eating my donnermeat &chips with cheesy garlic bread, it's that good I had to write a review, firstly the donnermeat is cooked perfectly, it's juicy and got a lovely meaty taste, every bite is on point, the chips are crispy with a generous amount of seasoning, the chips could be a little bit more crispy but that's down to preferences, the cheesy garlic bread is extremely cheesy and strong bursts of garlic in each bite, the crust is absolutely perfect, I asked for garlic butter with my order and they put it on the donnermeat and chips instead of in a tub, in my opinion this is amazing because it melts into it instead of being clumpy and a big mess, I've tried many other takeaways and this tops the list, the cashier is very talkative and gives positive vibes, the staff cracks on straight away and doesn't wait around, the genral area is very clean and fresh,its very hard to find a takeaway with all these positives,if you haven't tried it, you need to.I WILL be a returning customer.

We've started using spring cottage as our local take away, we've never had any issues with food or service, the price of food is decent and delivery usually comes quickly, parking can be a bit difficult depending on the time you go, obviously no toilets etc

Great little takeaway, very friendly. I pop in some Fridays with my daughter and they always give her a lolly pop and talk to her, the delivery drivers are great too, food is always good

This is an excellent local takeaway, and deservedly very popular. I have used this takeaway over many years. The staff are very friendly and efficient. There is an extensive and varied menu. The food is excellent and good value for money. The chips are so much nicer than any of the big chain burger and chicken joints. They are always hot and you get twice as much for less money. I took this place for granted, I didn't realize how good it was until I went to some of the well known High Street fast food places. Spring cottage beats them all hands down.

Ordered a Donna meat pizza really really dry paid as well for extra Donna meat never got extra ! cheese and chips was like they had been warmed up, burger and chips was absolutely soaked in red sauce so never got eat wouldn’t buy again from here waste off money 🙄

Definitely the best takeaway in East Hull. As always our favourite takeaway. Cannot fault on the service or delivery. We have used this family run takeaway for years - excellent. Thanks John - always a pleasure x

Got my kids cheese chips had to throw them away not cooked some was frozen in the middle wouldn't go again 6pound down the drain

Always a joy to come here for a bite to eat. I came here yesterday with my sister and cousin for some tea after doing the garden, they are always happy to see a new (or old) customer walk in their doors. I also noticed they have upgraded the menus from being a small light up board to some pretty decent TVs, good job! Also they interacted with my 5 year old cousin and even gave her a small lollipop when waiting, have not seen that since I was her age! They also always try to engage in a conversation with you instead of leaving you bored waiting for your food. We ordered a 14" pepperoni pizza, a large bag of chips, a small bag of chips, a cheeseburger with salad, a small bag of onion rings and a 12" margarita pizza which only come to around £25 and tasted amazing! Heck I'm eating it the next day whilst writing this 🤣🤣🤣 It was not the first and definitely not the last time coming here. The environment is always happy and there has never been a down moment coming here. Makes me wonder why I spend my money on something as terrible as McDonald's ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Kasey Napier

The pizzas are good, hand made bases, sometimes they overcook but as a rule the food is good, friendly staff and parking.

First time here tonight in years. First thing you notice is how clean the reception and work areas are. The phone going constantly another sign that they must be doing something right. I had ordered ahead for collection and was waiting 5-10 mins for which the staff apologised for. I had the Special Calzone but chicken instead of Donner meat was pleased to see that it was chicken breast rather than cheap cubed chicken which other takeaways use on pizzas. The lad who is picky at best enjoyed his pizza too nice thin crispy base instead of the thick dougjy ones that are common in Hull. Excellent quality and good prices tried it as fed up of closer ones and I know it is only goi g to make them busier but will be going back again, apologies to the staff!

I have been a customer for some years now (once, twice a fortnight). Delivery staff always polite and friendly, they get 5*. After a long day at work i thought i would treat myself to one of their succulent chicken kababs, only to be given a hammerd to death, half a centimetre thick, tasteless chicken. I was told it was because they are now using fresh chicken rather then frozen and that is why. I do cook and will cook.....even on them nights i dont feel like it from now on.

Plenty of parking for the Evo lol, food is always good quality we don't even live near it but it's worth the 10 minute drive to get a nice weekly takeaway.
