Yang's Braised Chicken Rice in Nottingham

Food was very nice, just the broth was a little salty! Such a shame about the service!!! Service was dreadful! Wasn't greeted at all! The guys were rude! I even spoke their language 中文 and did not even acknowledge my efforts either or make me feel welcome! Not impressed and won't be returning sadly 😔 (This is from someone who has visited and spent time in a Chinese-speaking country!)

We ordered beef noodle soup. The taste is ordinary and super salty. The first voice we heard when entering the restaurant were not ‘’Hello”or “welcome”, were number 16 counter to pay the money……

One of my most frequently visited restaurants especially when I need a homey meal. I can’t recommend their braised chicken enough.

Eats for 2 people. The price is good. The food is quite big for me. It’s very filling. Not bad. Will come again if I have the chance.

Dreadful braised chicken and crispy pork. They tasted so bland we couldn’t even finish. The chips and spicy hot pot were good though. I would not come back again.

Great place, you order through an app and collect from a hatch. I took the option to build my own ramen. Food was really tasty, (nothing like Western Chinese), generous portions & really rather cheap! Will definitely go again.

I have been here twice now and the food has been top notch. I would highly recommend the Braised Chicken set. This comes with a refillable rice and I left a restaurant for stuffed to the brim for the first time ever.

Great food, great price, really quick and perfect portion sizes. Ideal for lunch pre-theatre. A new favourite for us.

An unexpected delight. A very impromptu visit when the restaurant we'd wanted to go to was full. Yang's feels totally authentic and the food was delicious. Menu seemed complex at first but helpful and friendly staff guided us through it. Portions are huge. Tea stained egg was utterly delicious, as was the broth and homemade noodles. Highly recommend.

Massive portions of authentic and delicious food for a good price. Staff are lovely and the environment is very pleasant. Tea eggs were especially good.

Absolutely amazing place! Spicy hot pot is something to die for and you can add on individual item as your please (be wary of the price tag tho) and braised chicken with rice is outta this world! And don’t forget to try lychee soda drink in the end too! This is my forth time visiting there (excluding two takeaways) and every time I forgot to take photos as that’s how alluring the dishes are! Highly recommend! P.S get your QR code scanner ready to order for the dishes and to pay at the counter after submitting the order online. They accept card payment too.

Decent food but very poor customer service, the old woman who served us today had the most appalling manner and stinking attitude, also whilst we were eating she just kept on shouting at the top of her voice to others in the kitchen?! Me and my colleagues will not be coming back here anytime soon!

这是一家吃了无数次但最近吃过后再也不会去吃的店子。简而言之，菜还是很好吃，味道没有变而且放眼全英也只有这家店能体会到正宗的黄焖鸡味，但是自从前台换人后（从一个老婆婆换了一个长得有点像李连杰的老哥），服务质量和态度就一言难尽。首先我们进门照常点单刷卡，这老哥就一脸狐疑地看着我的卡说不确定能不能刷（我当然看到了本地卡的新通知），我都和他反复解释了这张卡是英国卡，还把后面的+44给他看了他还是半信半疑的拖半天，讲真这就让人有点不愉快了。然后我们两个人点了一份，我去拿碗然后找他多要了一个碗，这老哥先给了我，然后看到我开始装饭后突然对我说这一份黄焖鸡是只给一个人份的，两个碗的话就要多点一份。当时店里根本没有几个人不存在碗不够用的情况，而且我们两个人就算用一个碗吃的也是一样的量。这就很让人无语，不知道这样为了一点蝇头小利去冒犯本来就不多的顾客的意义是什么，纯粹的形式主义，除了败坏用户的用餐体验之外毫无用处（除非这就是这老哥的隐藏用意）。我们也算是老客户了，在这里吃了不下十次，但是今天这种店里气氛的变化着实让我们很失望和心寒，可惜了那些兢兢业业做菜的厨师们，估计一时半会是不会再来了。

This is authentic mainland Chinese. Had pulled noodles very authentic. Scan QR code on table , make choices, take phone to counter and pay . Fast delivery of food, rice is always fresh and self serve from a huge pot. Friendly staff and gave complementary black sesame rice balls unexpectedly. Toilet is also clean. Very much a causal eating place but if you want that Chinese mainland vibe it’s worth a visit.

食物味道没问题，但点冒菜的话一定要每个人单点！一起点四十镑给的跟十几镑份量差不多，纯纯大冤种。 Firstly, there was no question about the taste of the food. I ordered the risotto set today with two friends and this cost almost £40, however what shocked me coming up was that it was surprisingly similar to my previous portion of over £10. Note the edge of the bowl in picture 1 (where I ordered my own single meal before), it is the same size as the bowl on the right in picture 2. This means that I paid double the price and only got the same bowl plus a little bit of the smaller bowl on the left in picture 2 (only half and basically soup), which is heartbreaking. Also, I was puzzled that the large portion of small crispy pork we ordered (and confirmed with the merchant when they served it) was as much as the small portion ordered by the other table!

One of my favourite places to have hot pot. I've come here more than a few times. Food is excellent here. I recommend the hot pot with 4 items. Beef braised, glass noodles, enoki mushrooms and pak choi. Take-away ✔️ Delivery ✔️ Dine-in ✔️

They serve those super popular Chinese dishes/street food (Braised chicken, malatang, maocai, noodle soup) but also very authentic. All dishes are recommended, but just be careful with the spicy ones, as they are proper spicy (in a good way!). You can customise the spicy and numb level according to your preference. The service is friendly and quick. The restaurant has quite a lot of seats and always clean and tidy.

Really good hearty food, very small bone fragments can be found in the broth which could be a problem for some. Chicken for the braised chicken dish was tender and juicy. The broth had a lot of depth and went great with the rice. It’s self service but the food is prepped quickly and you can bring drinks from the downstairs boba tea place.

I wish I could give zero stars as there was a tiny stone attached to the pepper in my chicken dish that broke my teeth and I spent an extra £200 to fix my teeth. Relatively expensive food with the small portions you get. We were still hungry when we spent £16 per person. It's a self service restaurant with no staff at all. You get your drinks yourself, get your cutlery yourself and your dishes too! The menu has very little choices, mainly the chicken rice and the noodles.

Very tasty braised chicken and the beef noodles. My favorite place to go for lunch in Notts. The rice is also free refill😛🤤

他們的冒菜是諾丁漢最好吃的！不油，又夠辣！必點的肥腸 真的很好吃 還有牛腩（超大塊又燉的很入味），手工麵也很好吃。點外賣也很好吃 可以吃兩頓！

I always come here when I can, the noodles are handmade, they have fresh ingredients, and a delicious bone broth. It's so easy to order and only takes about 10-20 mins, which is worth the wait as the bowl is massive, and very filling. I've introduced all my friends here and my mum and they all love it. 11/10.

When you go to Yang's Braised Chicken Rice, you should order ... guess what?? Bloody amazing. Simple, clean, basic lunch, dinner and late night place. Don't think they do alcohol. Cheap tho. Do yourself a favour.

Delicious food with friendly staff and super clean. It's my new favourite lunch spot whenever I'm in the city centre.
