Love it here! Really looking forward to the new Lanes site opening in June so we can bring the little ones!

This is a definite upgrade on the last place. However the place is massive and feels kind of dead for a Saturday night. Consider turning on the neon door sign to attract customers as it was off when we arrived and looked closed. I will add. The main reason we go to Roxy is because of the music. Absolute alt and indie classic bangers all night. 10/10

Came here for a friends birthday in the kareoke rooms and Jack was absolutely amazing!!! 10/10 would recommend!

We went for a hen do and did karaoke & beer pong. It was awesome. The floors in the karaoke room were so sticky and we went pretty early so not sure how they weren't clean. Food was bang average but the place as a whole is great. Bowling is an abstract rip off.

Great venue, but I feel like it could be better maintained (cues a bit wrecked, bowling alley not returning balls...) The food is pricey but pretty good!

Great venue, it’s just a shame I can’t say the same about the staff. We came in a group booking for a birthday, took some photos in the booth and sat down to have a drink before we were approached and told to leave as a member of our group wasn’t adhering to the dress-code. Fair enough, but once we asked why this wasn’t told to us on the door when the manager and bouncer were stood outside, she said “my shift didn’t start so it doesn’t count”. Very unprofessional for somebody to be representing the company like this, not to mention staff at the bar were dressed very casually too. We understand there are policies in place. However, we were spoken to in a very rude manner and feel the situation was not handled professionally at all.

Amazing service! Kaemen and all the other staff were all so helpful and had such a fun time! The group of friends i went with all had an amazing time!

We came as a group for a birthday and booked karaoke. The room is perfect, it’s soundproof with plenty of place to sit and have a drink with the 2 microphones and music choices. Drinks inside are very tasty and worth the price paid. During our visit one of the microphones broke for 15 minutes, this was swiftly fixed and we had the extra time added on to the end of our slot. We even got 50% off as compensation. The team were really good at solving this and certainly did not taint the experience.

I booked an hour of duck pin bowling for 2 of us. We arrived a little early which was handy as we had to queue to fulfill the booking. We were given a lane number then went to get a drink first. We were queuing for 15 minutes, by the time we got to the lane we were 20 minutes into our time. We played one game then the screen told us to move on despite us booking an hour, I had to queue up again and the lady reinstated our game. We ended up only having about 35 minutes of the hour we paid for, plus, when the next lane was occupied we had to share 2 balls between all of us. Enjoyable game but really poorly organised and understaffed. I suggest you put in a way to communicate with staff without queuing.

Lee at the Corner House Nottingham was fantastic ! Roxy were out of cocktail mixers (cordials etc.) and Lee made us a cocktail off the top of her head and it was BRILLIANT !! Cannot recommend Lee enough :)

Stereotyping and Discrimination via a bias Dress Code that was not made obvious at point of booking. I booked on the day to do two activities with my Boyfriend at Roxy’s yesterday. The Dress code is not explicitly stated on the website and hidden at the bottom of the booking policy. You have to look for the dress code policy which then working in their favour as they already have the money by that point and no refund option. The dress code is based upon stereotypes of young men, no joggers, no shorts shirts but fancy dress if tasteful. This then is discriminating those with sensory needs. The option was to go home and change and come back later which would also be pointless as then it would be much later on a friday night and busier, again heightening sensory issues. Futher more as the booker of the activities I am dyslexic which i feel was also exploited in the lack of forwardness with the dress code. i booked because we were in nottingham already. I did not see a dress code displayed out front of the premises. Considering the activities, I booked our sporting activities, you would not think to look for a dress code for this type of establishment. It should be much more clear and the manager himself even admitted this when I spoke to him. I was told to send a complaint in writing via email by the manager. However I’m unable to actually find an email address and the chat function is run by a robot. The manager and bouncer seem to have this issue, quite often as they knew already to ring higher-ups to see what they should do, and the bouncer immediately called for the manager. We had a pleasant conversation. There was no difficulties or issues in that sense, but it did seem like this happens a lot and I was very shocked to say no reviews of this happening. I fear the establishment is losing out on custom, as they’re not actually being accessible for certain young people, and furthermore, actually targeting them whether that’s on purpose or not. I will not be returning. It did not feel like a safe place to take certain young people that I know.

My first time visiting, absolutely amazing lace. Totally unique. We played shuffleboard which was great fun. Very impressed and will be returning soon

we had our staff party here last night and it was really good, the party package was great, the food was tasty and there's plenty to do with helpful pleasant staff, a great night had by all esp when we ended up in the private karaoke rooms lol

Weak and indecisive management running the show Tuesday 9 Jan. Total joke.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. My friend and I came here today with our eighteen year old sons who are on the autism spectrum. The reason my friend chose this place was that it wasn’t as busy, and smaller than other bowling alleys, and therefore a better fit for her son who has can get a bit overwhelmed by too much noise and too many people. We had booked a time and gotten confirmation emails, and nowhere did it say that we had to bring physical identification. We got there, and went to our lane and all was on until I wanted to order some fries to our lane when the girl behind the bar (we were told that if we wanted to order food, we had to do it at the bar) said that she wanted to see my sons ID. I said that we aren’t ordering any alcohol, but she then said it doesn’t matter, because anyone has to be 18 to be there. I said that’s fine, because he is 18. I showed my son’s passport on a photo ( as I have done all other places) as we don’t want to walk around with passports everywhere. ( we recently moved here from LA) I had my ID card, but she just said no, I have a choice to challenge and demand a physical ID. So this girl didn’t actually have to ask for it, and even though I showed her mine, informed her that I was his mother and also informed her that she was about to completely destroy two autistic teenagers day, who had gone through a lot of challenges to finally be brave enough to have a “normal” day out with a friend, she still said no. I honestly couldn’t believe how someone could be such a heartless, ignorant person. She could clearly see that the passport was valid, she could clearly see that I was a wholesome mother who wasn’t out to get wasted with my autistic son, but she did not change her mind. I asked to speak to the manager, and she went and got him. I’m so angry with myself for not getting their names but this happened at 2;20 Pm on Sunday January 7- 2024 Sadly, the manager shared her exact feelings and didn’t care that; 1. It wasn’t stated in the email to bring a physical ID 2. Even though it was empty in there, they wouldn’t accept the passport picture, which is used all other places. 3. Had no empathy towards special needs, even though we had 3 physical IDs and one on picture. And they were with their mothers, who better to confirm identity. It’s not like the two boys were there with a pack of other kids, ordering alcohol. We just wanted to bowl. To the management of this business: you should fire the two people that I spoke to today (you know who you are) I have never seen this kind of horrible customer service, it was YOUR fault for not letting us know to bring physical id’s. But knowing about special needs, should have triggered some kind of empathy and understanding. I guess that is what happens when you don’t employ the right people. I will forever make sure that no one I know will go to this horrible place. What an absolute atrocious personality you must have to destroy what was supposed to be a fun day out for two teenagers on the spectrum. Thank you so much for making their lives even more of a struggle. I hope you are proud of yourselves…… Uppdate; the assistant general manager wrote me back and basically told me that his employers did nothing wrong, and that we should have known about it. Amazing customer service. This place is really going places. Straight to the dump. Thank you, no thank you. Definitely won’t be going back to that dump, and neither should anyone else.

Went in the week so don't give a true reflection, but first impression was good, laid out well, good choice of games to play, music bob, but might be better at the weekend, sample it you might enjoy yourself's

Game and drinks were great. we came for my friends 21st birthday and had friends from hours away joining to celebrate. two members got turned down at the door for wearing joggers even tho there was nothing on the website when booking. it was in the FAQ’s where no one really looks. the security guard was incredibly rude. sighed and rolled his eyes when we asked him to get someone we can speak to as he wasn’t telling us much at the door. he also told them “TK max is down the road” which is just rude. a woman came to help us who was much nicer and apologetic. the security guard really ruined the mood and we had to send the two members away while we played as we also couldn’t get a refund.

The overall place is good very big and spacious and looks like they have some fun games. However, the service was horrible security guard wasn’t nice, rolled his eyes at me while I told him to get someone for me. There was a dress code, that I didn’t know about, didn’t said there was a dress code anywhere except the FAQs which isn’t helpful because I went straight to booking. I hope next time they can clearly say when you book, to say there is a dress code.

We visited here to try the ice free curling. Booked the 1 hour session which was just about right for having 3 games. Good fun and would definitely go back to try some of the other games and activities here.

Honestly the worst experience I have ever had at a bar. Charged each of our group £35 for a Christmas Party. There were 35+ of us. We were told we would get food for everyone and all dietary requirements would be catered for. We were also each given two drinks tokens. Upon arrival to the bar there were so many Christmas parties in the venue and hardly any staff. My first trip to the bar took 30 minutes to get a drink (about 60 people waiting for drinks and 4 bar staff on). We were told food would be served at 7.30pm. Two hours later we got food and all it was, was some chips and pizza (there was 1 staff member doing the food). With no dietary requirements catered for and the volume of food provided to us would have only fed 15 people maybe. The next trip to the bar took over an hour to be served (over 60 people at the bar and 2 staff working). Honestly it was one of the most horrendous experiences of a bar/venue ever. Absolutely do not go to this venue. On top of this the men's toilets were flooded and not dealt with for the duration of the evening. The drinks tokens are a rip off too. Can't use them for most drinks (or at least the staff wouldn't let us) and so many of us had to pay for drinks anyway. As we were told the vouchers only covered beer, wine or a soft drink. Disgusting. To pay £35 for this was an absolute rip off. I hope the owners and staff are embarrassed. Safely to say anyone I talk to will be told to avoid this place like the plague.

Probably great for a night out with a mate or 2 but wouldn't recommend for a large group. Incredibly disorganised.

Terrible venue to catch up with friends. Booked crazy pool for 4 of us with plan of having a catch up and some drinks and food while there. Music was so loud that couldn't talk, crazy pool was flooded and general a bit rubbish . No phone service down there and wifi was not working, so couldn't order food, and at over 20 min a time to get served at the bar we soon gave up and went else where for food and drinks.

During an emergency with a colleague, the staff at Roxy Ballroom, Nottingham, led by Marc, were brilliant. They were so supportive and Marc in particular made sure we were looked after while we dealt with the situation, helping wherever he could, but letting us lead it. He is a fabulous ambassador for Roxy Ball Room and we think he and the team are amazing. Thank you

Very interesting place, didn't know it existed. There for a company event in the afternoon, would like to try it on a night out to compare.

Grate for fun games or a karaoke session if a bit pricey. Food was bland for the price

We were invited to a night out here and didn’t expect it to be as amazing as it was! Our server Jack, made our night completely. He was there whenever needed and he was definitely a highlight of our night, so considering and fun!

Came here on bank holiday for a date day and thoroughly enjoyed it. The games were great fun and the bar had some lovely options. The floor was a bit sticky but thats not really surprising when you’re mixing alcohol with gaming. Overall a great day and cannot wait to visit again.

Had a solid time at Roxy's Ballroom playing a variety of games they had on stock but nothing beats the vibes emitted by the staff. A special shout out to my man Charlie who hosted us and made sure my mate had a absolute blast for their Birthday.

Great place to visit with friends for bar games including Pool, Table Tennis, Beer Pong, Shuffleboard and more. There's a few arcade style stations too plus karaoke rooms upstairs. Great drinks selection, cocktails and simple food menu (pizza/chips) for the peckish Gets very busy on weekend and all the activities fill up very quickly, book something in advance if you can

Was not allowed to stay in the venue without a physical in person ID at 3 pm when we didn't want any alcohol and the floor was so sticky my shoe almost came off

There seems to be a reoccurring theme that the bouncers are rude, the one in Nottingham was also very arrogant, spoiled a lovely day. Won’t be going again, not that clean inside, and just smelt of half cleaned up sick

Drinks and activities are over priced and the music is too loud to be able to communicate.

Visited as an organised Stag Doo and it was awful, so busy, no organisation, no staff, empty glasses everywhere, Very hot inside, loud rock music and the queues were so long! Your really missing a trick, a dedicated person would make more money and less stressful, ordered on the app and it took 25mins to arrive! On asking the staff where our drinks were the reply was “we’re short staffed” that’s not my issue! Your fast enough to book and take customers money, so you should staff accordingly. The floor needs a damn good clean as it’s so sticky! I won’t be rushing back, nor will I be recommending it to others! Such a shame, as it’s s nice venue - just poorly managed!

Loads of options for different activities to try, although the prices were a little bit steep. Great place to spend entertain yourself for a few hours though.

We went for crazy pool and were slightly disappointed that the £8 a person was only for 9 holes that were a bit repetitive and unimaginative! Worth more like £3 a person unfortunately! Definitely worth a visit with friends and family. There’s food, drinks and games! The building could use some more signage to help you figure out where different places are but I had a great time when visiting the other day.

We originally just came in for a drink and a quick game and ended up staying for quite a while playing 2 games of ice-free curling! Such a wide range of games to play and a great atmosphere. I definitely need to return for a game of "crazy pool" soon!

Great Games venue and alternative to an Escape Room....Good ft catching up with mates or stag and hen do! Book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Really great option for a night out! Games can be a bit expensive but in general if you are planning a night out with friends it's definitely worth it!

What a great fun plans to come. We played the curling which was a lot of fun and basketball as well which was great. Highly recommend with friends or team building.

We came here for the karaoke. And we had so much fun !. The karaoke machine has an almost infinite choice of songs. The room offers privacy, with enough room for 7 of us. The toilets are well taken care of.

Such an amazing experience a lot of fun could use a DDR machine though 😛

The manager Katie is absolutely despicable at this roxy ball room cornerhouse. She was shouting at staff in front of costumers to the point where one of the staff started crying and all that the staff member was trying to do was help me with a game. It was absolutely horrible to watch and see the young girl walk away. So I asked another member of staff if the manager does that a lot and the staff member said yes and that they also feel unsafe to be on a shift when the manager is working. No staff members should feel unsafe around a MANAGER a role model someone you’re meant to learn from and trust but instead this manager is making her staff cry and feel unsafe. These staff members I’ve seen and spoke to are also young adults and making them feel this way can really affect their mental healths and make them not want to work at all. This is not what we want for our young adults! For some of them, this is their first job. We do not want them thinking that this is what work life really is, managers thinking they can bully them because they are young. Absolutely disgusting and never have I worked anywhere or been anywhere where I’ve seen the manger treating their staff that poorly!😡 Roxy ball room sort it out!

Came here for the first time and was absolutely disgusted to see most members of staff get screamed at by their manager even whilst helping customers. At one point a young girl (staff member) started to CRY! The manager was being nasty and saying awful things. I was disgusted to see this behaviour towards the younger adults, she needs to be fired. A manager should never treat their staff how she did tonight, very irresponsible and unprofessional. You should be ashamed, absolutely disgusting, I will NOT be returning!!!

Great fun. So much to do and everything is at a fair price. Food is ok and well priced.. plenty of choice of drinks as well. Staff here always make you feel welcome and happy to help.

Fun place but kind of expensive

Great atmosphere but thats where it ends. Over priced watered down drinks. Stood at a quiet bar for nearly 10 mins with 3 staff serving. Staff training required on awareness, people being served who have been waiting 30 seconds over people waiting 5 mins.

Went with friends and the amount of different games available are great to see. Food and drinks available and for adults would highly suggest this place.

If you love to play ball, table tennis snooker,..... Etc and much more fun then this is the place for you.

Love this place. Bowling is great, basketball a favourite and the shuffleboard is what we go for. I was a bit annoyed that the guy literally tool the sliders off the table even though we hadn't finished our game. Other than that great.

Good night out for a group or a few. We did shuffleboard for an hour then the smaller ten pin bowling, loved both of them. We were there Saturday night so it was buzzing.

Sick venue. Very busy on weekends, the largest Roxy’s I’ve ever been in though. We played bowling and cornhole. Cornhole is one the cheapest games and a wicked laugh if you play with forfeits etc. Only reason I didn’t give it a 5 was because of how expensive the drinks are for what you get.

Took 1h 15 minutes for drinks to arrive at table tennis table after asking staff three times to remind them. Very rude staff and crap wine. Never going again

Do you love QUEUEING? Then you’ll LOVE Roxy Ballroom. They have an awesome selection of activities, including: - QUEUEING FOR GAMES - Particularly galling when you’ve pre-booked well in advance, meaning you actually pay to queue. - QUEUEING FOR DRINKS. - DYING OF THIRST - Waiting an eternity for drinks to arrive. I’ve been here so long I’ve gone bald and developed arthritis! - CLIMBING OVER VOMIT - Ninja warrior yourself over the contents of someone’s stomach. Lovely.

Drinks are so overpriced and table service takes forever! Games and karaoke are brilliant but don't plan on drinking there

Booked for karaoke, they booked us in wrong date, don't answer the phone (been no 1 in the queue for 40 minutes) also no reply to email sent 5 days ago. Happy to take your deposit though! Avoid is my advice!

Well, it certainly roxed my world.. It's an all-rounder, great for some grub and light drinks but also the best place in Nottingham for getting hammered whilst smashing your mates at beer pong. Staff were very helpful and friendly, especially that young ginger lad. Will definitely be going back soon!

We attended Roxy ballroom for a works outing and thoroughly enjoyed it, the music was great with a very busy atmosphere. Tried a few cocktails and my first pina colada was great but the next did seem to be missing a main ingredient. Plenty to do here, we had fun bowling but plenty more than this to do.

Great place for a night out, there was a really good selection of drinks and the staff were so friendly especially the assistant manager George- he was really helpful as we hadn't been to a roxy's before and had no idea what we were doing with the games. I have already recommended it to people and I will definitely be back!

When booking make sure to go to the right one as there are two very close to each other. The drinks are affordable and nice and there’s lots to do including bowling

Came here for the first time at the weekend as a group and had brilliant time. I was blown away by the selection on games that you could book onto. We did beer pong and crazy pool. The drinks selection was really good. We tried all the cocktails, and i would highly recommend the "living on a pear" and the "pina colada". We didn't have any food, but from what I saw in passing, it looked really nice. The only downside was the waiting times for the drinks. There were only 2 people serving on the bar, with almost 30 people waiting. We did order some drinks through a lovely staff member who came over to us to see if we would like anything, but these took over 20 minutes. I would definitely recommend Roxys, but just be prepared to wait if you want drinks or pool cues.

Booked in for karaoke and a couple games of beer pong, staff are super helpful and welcoming. Had such a good time, we’ll be back again soon!

Really cool place to spend time with friends. We played shufl, pool, crazy pool, ping pong and karaoke. There's lots to do. Enjoyed some cocktails too

We booked ice free curling followed by duck pin bowling. However when we got there we had to duck pin first because they were running late on the curling, however this was no biggie. When we did duck pin the balls got jammed 3 times and each time we had to go back down the stairs to get someone. Eventually they said they will scrap that game and put us on a different one where we asked for crazy pool. Considering crazy pool was a lot cheaper they didn't say they will refund the difference until I asked which was disappointing, luckily as a result they gave us crazy pool for free instead. Crazy pool was a weird one, 9 tables, most of the fun paths doesn't really give you an advantage and tbh I expected a lot more from it, definitely a good concept but needs a lot more fine tuning and you finish relatively quickly so doesn't last long. Ice free curling was really fun though, but one of the pucks was definitely faulty so did not travel the same amount of distance. Drinks quite expensive for what they are I would say. All in all it was only the ice free curling that was really enjoyable.

Had an awesome Christmas party we bowled, played pool and shuffle board. The drinks were flowing the food was good and the party host Jack was fab. Thanks for fantastic time .
