We recently started ordering in the last couple of weeks, the company buys food for the staff every Friday and Yangaz was our choice, we will for the future order from here every week, the menu has so many options that all our staff are catered for, their staff are very helpful, the orders have always been correct and the food is great quality and tastes amazing, wish we had known you do take away sooner - Thank you Yangaz and we look forward to giving you our business in the future.

carbonara.Waste of time.Hopeless.You only need to see the length of the menu to know whats coming.Very unimpressed. We waited a few minutes and the dish appeared.Big mistake.

The best hot chocolate I have ever had !!! I wouldn’t go anywhere else now. So creamy and chocolatey. The staff at yangaz are so lovely especially Maddie.

Dropped in for a coffee - very friendly staff. My wife had a coffee and I asked for a hot chocolate. Wow - it was impressive with all the trappings.

A must when visiting cranleigh- the coffee is great, and food fantastic- my husband had a carrot cake but it was so much more - cream, strawberries, blueberries, and an absolutely delicious, and large portion of cake. So rare these days to find somewhere where you get more than you expected. Recommended.

Came here for lunch and sat outside. I thought the service was excellent - the staff were very attentive and friendly and the food arrived promply. It was all good!

Dear Yangaz. Your food, pricings and team are wonderful, but you continue to tolerate the bigoted and racist rantings of an elderly customer (who wears a pale straw hat) in a loud way. I did wonder if your staff could hear him but have now seen for myself that they can. Maybe they do not feel empowered to challenge his behaviour -that is a management failing you need to address. I for one will not be returning because I do not want to hear about how "Enoch Powell was right" or how "You can't watch the news as its full of them" (especially well timed on the day that George Alagaiyah passed away. Several of your staff are, like me, of colour, and should not have to work in that environment.

Love it ! Great food and drinks. Very nicely turned out cafe. The staff are very responsive and keep an eye out for people, very refreshing to see. Well managed ! Will make it a stop when in Cranleigh - thanks.

Really Really disappointed, have visited here previously for lunch several times and had a great experience but this morning was like a complete different place. Visited with my daughter took 10 mins to be acknowelged and reluctant staff to meet and greet us, when we had ordered our food and drink my daughter was given her drink and mine was forgotten.They didnt even check if everything was ok with our breakfast order which was wrong.We tried to get there attention but the staff were then extremley loud chatting away to themselves in an inappropriate way infront of my daughter. This made us very uncomfortable so we paid the bill which was very over priced £30 for 2 breakfasts which we didnt finish due to the way we were made to feel. Very disappointed I will not be going for breakfast again with the staff team working.

Can’t believe that I’ve not found this place until now! Lovely unique independent cafe with so much choice on the menu! Something for everyone from loads of breakfast options to burgers, wraps, Turkish dishes, pasta, salads etc. we had a job to choose! Service was excellent and very quick. Will definitely be back soon. Sadly not open in the evenings but I can live with that. Highly recommend.

Just ate breakfast here whilst on a short visit to Cranleigh. Locals had recommended it. Not disappointed both my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our food (Turkish Sausage delicious) and the staff were excellent. Highly recommend

Wow. Stayed in Cranleigh overnight and was recommended this resturant for breakfast. Can't rate it highly enough. Staff friendly and welcoming, young lady who took our order very efficient and cheerful. Restaurant clean with calming decor. Given time to peruse the menu, once ordered arrived promptly and was utterly delicious. Will definitely return. Thank you Yangis staff.

Breakfast with a friend and we sat outside and ordered “smashed avocado and smoked salmon on sourdough toast”. Pretty underwhelming sums it up. It was an odd avocado purée rather than smashed avocado, the toast was under toasted so it was limp and the salt and pepper was in sachets rather than mills. I ordered a flat white and it was bitter. Waiting staff were very friendly. Went inside to pay as no table service for paying the bill. Had to queue for about 5 mins and man at the til was surly and unfriendly. Through the open door to the kitchen I could see a team member making a customer milkshake type of drink and she also drank some of it straight from the blender herself, not sure that’s good practice…. Admittedly I’m from Sydney where good coffee and breakfasts are common and standards are high so my expectations might be higher than locals of Cranleigh. But all in all I’d say the experience was poor/fair and I wouldn’t recommend. At the least there are areas for improvement that would make quite a big difference.

Husband and I visited here yesterday for lunch. Great location in the centre of Cranleigh with lots of parking. We were actually only going for a coffee, but after looking at the menu decided to stay for lunch. The choice was extraordinary for what is quite a small place. The service was excellent, charming and efficient. The wait was ok, but they were rammed with 2 chefs cooking. Lots of tables outside with parasols and/or trees. We had Burger, came with chips and fresh salad and coleslaw. The other dish was mushroom omelette with chips, salad and coleslaw. Huge portions. Both were under £10 each! Can't recommend highly enough. This place has got it ✅ right. Forgot to take photos as were too busy eating lol

Stopped off for breakfast on a cycle ride down the south coast. Well presented and decent food, massive amount of toast! However, it was quite expensive - it is Surrey I guess - and the staff whilst very thorough with Covid protocols, were decidedly surly....

Cranleigh was the halfway point on a Downs Link bike ride, and Yangaz Bistro fitted the bill perfectly. No need to book, and careful social distancing of the outdoor seating in front of the bistro. A varied menu for all tastes, good value and well-presented....

Three of us popped in for a coffee and lunch yesterday. We don’t know Cranleigh very well so looked on TA for suggestions - what a find! Lovely, friendly service & vibe. Amazing food, massive portions!!! Hubby and Son had the breakfast wrap and I had a jacket potato which was massive!!! Very colourful and very tasty. If we are in cranleigh again we will defo visit! Thank you ladies for cheering us up on a miserable wet day!!

Best Bacon Sandwich ..... I popped in this morning when my car was having a tyre fixed. All I had tine for was a cup of tea and a bacon sandwich. Both were excellent. The cup of tea was excellent because the water was very hot and the milk separate. Too often cafes these days focus on coffee and forget how to serve proper tea. Not here it was perfect. Now the bacon sandwich was delicious. Good quality plain white essential for me but they also offered brown. The bacon was also good quality and it was accompanied by a nice fresh salad. I had never had this combination for breakfast but because the salad was very fresh it worked. I wish I had had time for the full works. Anyway highly recommended by me.

It’s clear these guys use quality ingredients. Sausages, bacon and black pudding all top notch. The brekkies are also substantial in size. Was probably the best full English I’ve had, enjoyed every bite! Coffee nice as well. Will definitely be back!

Can only speak for the breakfast, as we come here every morning if working around Cranleigh. Food and Service is fantastic, staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended, and be sure to try the Turkish brekky at some stage!

hearty lunch with well cooked, good sized portions. That every time I walk past the cafe is well occupied is surely testament to quality (value for money) and local support. Well worth a vitis if you are hungry!

This amazing restaurant is a breath of fresh air for Cranleigh! The food is amazing and fantastic for both vegans and vegetarians too. It’s hearty, healthy, fresh home cooked fo loop od, with great portion sizes and fantastic ingredients! Alp and the team work so very hard.

We drive 10 miles to visit this gorgeous bistro. Amazing breakfasts gorgeous lunches and dinners. Menus run throughout the day though you can order almost anything and mix and match the menu. The portions are huge and we always leave full ! Great vegan choices lovely salads jacket potatoes They are. friendly and smiley and it's so nice to support an independent family business rather than a chain . Please support them ...you wont be disappointed

We were riding northwards on the Downslink Cycle Path from Southwater to Guildford and took a break at Cranleigh. The Bistro/Grill appears in the High St very close to where one section ends and the next begins. We were a bit muddy and dishevelled but were warmly welcomed. (Locked up bikes within view outside). The menu was varied and interesting and catered for particular dietary needs. The food we ordered (and we could have chosen several items of interest!) was delivered promptly, well cooked, and hot. Loved the range of breakfasts on offer at lunchtime! The Bistro is very clean and efficient. It is a well run and friendly and deserves to do well in its business.Recommend this place to all cyclist and walkers of the Downslink!!! Very handily placed! Cranleigh is lucky to have it there.

Dropped in for an early "light lunch" with friends. Surprised with the large number of things on their menu. Three of us ordered their "fill you up" breakfasts and a coffee. The other guest ordered a ciabatta and peppermint tea.

Varied menu with lots of choice for vegetarians. I enjoyed a very nice felafel and halloumi wrap with a generous side salad. It was probably big enough to share to be honest! Sat outside in the sunshine. Good service and good value. Thumbs up all round!!

Yangaz has a great menu, the food is fresh and very tasty. Big portions so make sure you are hungry. We had lunch on multiple occasions while staying in Cranleigh, food was excellent every time. Jacket potatoes are massive.

Visited Yangaz with my family on a busy Saturday, it took a while to choose what to have for lunch as their menu is huge! We were all extremely happy with what we ordered very fresh and lots of it, make sure you’re hungry when you go! Staff were very helpful. Only negative would be having to walk through a cloud of cigarette smoke to get in the door and then the strong smell of cigarette smoke if you sit indoors at the front of the restaurant, maybe the smokers tables could be moved somewhere else.

After a hectic birthday party at the leisure centre in the morning my wife, two young sons and I wandered around Cranleigh in order to get a few things done before heading home.

What a great little restaurant we have here in Cranleigh. Nice welcome from the staff on entering the premises and a clean well organised interior. An excellent menu for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. The food was very prompt and very tasty and the Turkish beer was a treat. Friendly Bulgarian staff with a great attitude and determined to make our first visit memorable. Highly recommend.

Visited with my 2 daughters and we loved the selection of baguettes, panini, ciabatta etc. Delicious coffee, great value but on the sunny day we visited, sitting outside there was a plague of wasps but the café had put traps out in an effort to deter them.

Stopped off in Cranleigh when cycling through Surrey and randomly picked Yangaz as it has outdoor tables in the square. Service was good and I had a nice Cranleigh breakfast plus tea and orange juice. Everything was well cooked and it definitely filled me up. Recommend!

Really glad we did. I had the lamb kebab which was succulent and really tasty with lovely salads. We had turkish flat bread and tsatziki complimemtary, absolutely lovely. My son had the burger which was ok but he preferred my kebab. Very friendly staff, very reasonable prices and excellent food

im not one to moan but Food was average if I’m honest, really expensive for what it was and ridiculously tight portions.trying to find a positive I would say the staff were nice enough. But wouldn’t go back.

We went here on a Saturday night, it was very quiet, only 2 other tables occupied. The waitress was very friendly if a little bit of a language barrier. I was keen to have something actually Turkish so ordered the Lamb Shiah but added the guacamole dip. It tasted incredible and looked lovely too. The salad was fresh and plentiful and the meat was seasoned perfectly. I cleared my plate! My friends had burgers which were huge and succulent and they all were defeated by them. We were really impressed all round and I intend to go again and try the other Turkish options.

Visited Yangaz for the first time today and loved it. Delicious breakfasts, freshly cooked, great Illy coffees and refreshingly well-motivated young staff. Gone to the top of my Cranleigh brunch/lunch list.

We are regulars, and you really are spoilt for choice when visiting Yangaz...great menu for every taste, packed with every kind of breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner or snack, and you get your moneys worth! Coffee is always served quickly and the cakes are delishious. Haven't had a bad meal yet. Yes, they do get busy, but this simply speaks volumes for the quality of food and service. The family pick to go here before anywhere else.

Great coffee and the breakfast was amazing. Much better than any of the other local alternatives such as the Snooty Fox.

Four adults visited for what we thought was going to be an amazing lunch. We asked the female behind the bar where to sit and she rudely just sit. I had to ask for the menus and drinks at the bar as most of the staff were on the phone & dismissed us. Burgers were amazing but other orders were seriously expensive & not worth the money.

We dropped into Yangaz yesterday for lunch as a group of 8, including 4 young children. Fantastic food, large portions and very quick, attentive service. Great little play area for the children. We will definitely be back

First visit today for a sandwich lunch and pot of tea, with a friend. Our food was lovely plus plentiful and everyone’s food looked good too. Will return for an evening meal shortly.

We arrived at 4.50pm today (Monday) and despite having another hour and ten mins before closing, they didn't fancy cooking for my young family of five. Terribly disappointing that they are already taking customers for granted. Customers that eat out with their families in Cranleigh every week... With that attitude, they will be closed soon.

Stopped here for afternoon tea, sat outside as weather was lovely. Service a little slow as they were busy, but very friendly once we were noticed. Not cheap but we felt it was good value, best baklava I’ve had in a long while. Lots of people were having burgers and these looked fantastic, and the menu looked interesting. We were regular customers of Take It (the cafe’s previous incarnation) and we really like what the new owners have done with the decor. Looking forward to visiting again.

We visited Yangaz Bistro on Saturday evening, we hadn't booked a table and got the last one! It was very busy in there-always a good sign! Nearly all of our dishes were delicious (more below), service was however very slow BUT very friendly and happy staff which was nice to see but they are kind of a bit all over the place.

Popped in here for lunch. Very busy so had to sit near the back. This wasn't ideal as it's near to the door to the toilets, along with this you can smell the staff smoking by the rear door.

First visit to Yangaz today and what a nice treat that was. We booked a table in advance (just as well as it was very busy) for a lunch as my wife only had a one hour lunch break.

Good to see a new restaurant opening after the recent demise of my 2 favourites Madellinas and To the Table and Yangaz didn't disappoint. We both had jacket potatoes with prawns and avocado which were great - big potatoes, lots of prawns and a substantial salad plus shredded carrot and coleslaw. Also a good choice of teas including decaf to my wife's delight. Great start and will be back for coffee soon. Good choice on menu and friendly staff

This is a new eating place to Cranleigh, having only opened in the last few weeks. I unfortunately visited when it was raining, nut the food and service made a dull day bright.
