Nice to have a different type of restaurant in Ampthill. A well decorated and laid out restaurant with very good seats. The service was excellent and the staff were very accommodating. They were always quick and seemed happy to help. Food wait has increased. Limited vegetarian options and they have removed the few fish options for mains. A selection of starters is better but it's not a place to go if you want a good desserts but what we had we liked. Prices are high for quality of food.

Very tasty, freshly prepared food. Wide choice of dishes, including gluten free options. Service was first class,particularly from our lovely waiter Ad. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Absolutely outstanding!!! Great welcome, beautiful food, reasonably priced, quality, clean and well presented plates... Staff were friendly, not pushy and explained offers very clearly... I have already recommended a friend!! And will definitely be returning myself... I rearly review restaurants, mainly because the experience is normally pretty generic, but the Yakamos Meze Bar was exceptional,so credit where credit is due.. Enjoy!!!

Just had a lovely Sunday special lunch (Mother’s Day). Fantastic deal 2 courses each (huge portions) glass of wine, 2 4 1 on cocktails complimentary food taste, complimentary tea and a nice touch of a box of Ferraro Roche chicolates on the table AD our waiter was lovely and charasmatic and made some great recommendations Would definitely recommend - we will be back 😁

Had the 2 course lunch menu - first class food, complimentary flatbread and Turkish tea. Large portions and excellent value for money. Very spacious ideal for families. Excellent lunch time venue for Friday/Saturday and now also Sunday lunchtimes in Ampthill. We just turned up and they accommodated us. Great friendly place to meet and eat.

Amazingly delicious. The lamb is so~~~ juicy. This menu is worth the price. (I don't remember the name but it is #31 on the menu. £23.50 one.) This is the most delicious lamb I have ever had. ------------------- For people who will drive here. There is a car park near here but it takes only cash not card. Just park on the road in front of other's houses.

Have visited this restaurant twice in the space of two days and I am seriously impressed. We were looked after by Tiago who did a fabulous job both times and we will be back again soon. Food is excellent, baklava is to die for. Excellent restaurant and we would highly recommend!

This is has to be the best Turkish restaurant I have experienced. Hidden away in a subtle village this what I expect from a high end London restaurant. The food was cooked to perfection. the lamb shish cubes were succulent and well seasoned. salads very fresh(big thing for me). 100% reccommend

Unfortunately, though the food is somewhat nice, it is just not worth the money. The food lacks substance regarding portion size when it costs over £16 for a main. The sides are nice, but when ordering the platter for two, there is simply not enough. Even living so close to the restaurant, the delivery took over 90 minutes. The food was at best underwhelming, and a poor value for money.

Starters Cold Meze for 4, not entirely over excited about this, coleslaw, houmous, potato salad and med veg, only came with 2 stuffed vine leaves, its for 4 persons not 2 so give 4 of each item. No bread either to scoop up the cold delights, having said that it was nice what was there. Main Meat platter for 4 Very nice, meat was cooked and flavoured amazingly but again came with odd amounts of food. Make it equal amounts so you get an equal potion when sharing. Beer was good, atmosphere was great. Would definitely go back Little things and attention to detail would make thus place 5* instead of my 4* rating

So pleased I've found this gem! Friendly staff and delicious food. So fresh, cooked to perfection and great options to choose from! We had the platters to start and for main to sample different things on the menu and they were presented beautifully with so much food on each plate. I don't know how we managed Baklava for pudding but we did and that was divine too. We will definitely be back soon. A must visit for anyone who is thinking about it.

UPDATE! I returned to this restaurant tonight 8th November, to celebrate my birthday. WHAT A TRANSFORMATION in the service we received! Everything was perfect - the food outstanding; the service was exceptional; the atmosphere was relaxed; the chefs and waiting staff were ‘on their game.’ We will be recommending this restaurant to friends and WE WILL RETURN!!! Well done! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Recommend the sharing platter for four people!!! OLD REVIEW Went for dinner last night as part of a group of 10. The restaurant is beautiful, and it was packed out. The staff were very friendly. Unfortunately, we had to wait for 1hour 30 minutes for our main courses to be brought to the table - we did not have starters. HOWEVER, when the food did arrive, it was extremely tasty, and well presented. The manager rectified the situation, and will use this as a learning curve. We WILL return because the restaurant hadn’t been open for very long and this situation was very new to them. Maybe limit the number of covers per sitting? Maybe, for large parties, pre-order system to be put into place, together with a deposit??? These are just suggestions. This will be a very successful venue when ‘issues’ are ironed out.

First time at Yakamoz Meze bar tonight and the food was all cooked to perfection. Really enjoyed all of it. To start we had the hot meze platter followed by the chicken shisha which came with rice and salad. Will definitely be returning highly recommended

Can’t say enough great things about this place. We always go early because we have a 3 year old and the staff treat us so incredibly well. It’s a really special place and the food is amazing and presented so well. One of our absolute favourite restaurants in the area.

We eat at a lot of top end restaurants and yakamoz really didn’t disappoint. Really really good food - chicken sis, lamb chops and seabass all excellent, served with delicious sides and meze starters. It was as good as any quality Turkish meal I’ve had in England, and I’ve had quite a lot! Really friendly staff too and we had a great chat with the owner - very generous man. If we lived in the area we would be regulars for sure, and I hope this place proves to be a great success - it deserves to be.

I can't recommend this restaurant enough, the food was divine, the atmosphere was second to none, the servers were lovely and professional, and the owners are super friendly and are passionate about great tasting authentic Turkish food. This is such a lovely place for a date night, or a family get together, birthday celebratio or any occasion to be honest. I went with my 3 month old and my husband for a birthday celebration and it was amazing. There was baby changing facilities in the toilet which was amazing. At first I was worried about how I could get to the restaurant as it's in the basement but the owners let me come from the back of the restaurant which doesn't have any stairs, you just need to let them know when booking your table so they know when to expect you. I can not wait to come back here and have recommended this place to all my friends and family!

I had dinner here with my wife today. The food is superb. The lamb shish melts in your mouth. The chicken shish was delicious. The staff are lovely and attentive and the prices are very reasonable. 100% recommended, and we'll definitely be back!

We came here tonight, the food was delicious! I had the tavuk (chicken) şiş and my husband had the kuzu (lamb) şiş, the chicken was beautiful and the lamb was melt in the mouth! This restaurant has a lovely ambiance and beautiful decorations. Plus, the parking is conveniently close to the restaurant. A great choice for a pleasant dining experience!

What a place, the food was perfect, as good as the best restaurants in Turkey, run by a lovely couple, we could have spent all night there and ate more had our tummy’s allowed us, the decor and atmosphere is great, both intimate and open at the same time! My new favorite place to dine! They just need to do breakfasts now 😉

An absolute gem! The staff were lovely and the food incredible - you can see the food being prepared with the windows into the kitchen. The portions are large and I strongly recommend visiting, if you enjoy Mediterranean cuisine. We took our two children under 5 and the staff were brilliant.

We attended this restaurant for the first time this evening. The waiter, was polite, though inattentive, no check backs at any point throughout the meal. The restaurant lacked ambiance. The meals were disappointing, the lamb sis appeared to be a cut of meat not specified in the menu. The lamb was fatty and tough. The meat definitely was not cooked on a skewer as advertised. Portion sizes were small in comparison to the price and despite asking for the meat to be cooked well done the meat arrived looking rather anaemic. The Bulgar was nice. The restaurant was empty, though I had to leave the table to request the bill. Unfortunately, I would not rush back.

Great place, I remember this place when it was a nightclub. we visited on a Thursday evening the atmosphere was great, great to see a busy restaurant, the food and service was great. Will definitely visit again.....sorry forgot to take any pictures.

The presentation of the dishes was visually stunning, with each plate resembling a work of art. Moreover, I had no doubt about the freshness and quality. The chef's creativity and perfect flavor combinations were truly commendable. The service was prompt and attentive, with the staff responding to every request promptly and taking care of every detail. The drink selection was also quite diverse, and the expert bar team had mastered the art of preparing delicious cocktails.

We ate here midweek a couple of months ago for a friend's birthday. Got to say, not overly impressed. As a former chef, I like to think I know a bit about food. Main course - lamb kebab - was dry. How on earth do you dry out a lamb kebab? Also bulked up with lava bread. Style over substance in my opinion, I enjoy the takeaway kebab up the road more. It's almost as if they thought that "it's Ampthill, they'll pay it". Falafels - again, not great. I make better at home. I do like, however, all the other reviews for this restaurant. All the grammar is perfect and written very similarly....!

What a fantastic new venue for us in Ampthill. Great ambience and service. Food was 10 out of 10 for our party of 7 for lunch. Looking forward to visiting again. Get a picture or tv screen so people can see you tucked away downstairs!

Can not fault this new addition to Ampthill restaurant offer. Wedding anniversary dinner treat and was not disappointed at all. The staff service was excellent, attentive but not intrusive. The food choice was varied and interesting, the quality of presentation was very good indeed. More importantly the food was excellent quality, well cooked and the meat not dry. Lovely interior giving a hint of being aboard in Turkey, the decor is tasteful and not over the top. The house red and Prosecco was particularly good quality. Would highly recommend, to book ahead and make an occasion of it. Reasonable prices for the quality as well

The food is amazing, portion sizes are generous. The meat is cooked perfectly, seasoned perfectly, served quickly and the staff seem great.

Never reviewed a meal before. What happened: My three friends had a shared meze between them. I mistakenly went for a separate dish. This is where things went rather bizarre. I ordered a Chef Special as a main (Yag something Adana) costing around £22. If ever you make food and add a little too much tomato puree you'll have an idea of what I mean. The dish tasted like someone had squirted far too much tomato puree into it. I couldn't eat it. I complained to the waiter and he just looked at me; the most bizarre reaction I've ever seen. My friend offered to eat it (he'll eat anything). I had some of my friends shared meze, which was very good. I didn't eat much as I was taking the shared food of my friends. Had a sandwich when I got home, which is, shall I say, quite an unusual thing to do after a reasonably expensive meal out. Another waiter came over to take our plates away and I explained, in as simple terms as I could, how it tasted. Unfortunately, my friend, who can eat anything, finished it (he did admit it was hard going, which is about as damning as it gets). The waiter just laughed. What do you do when that happens? For the first time, I left no tip. Fortunately, my friends saw what happened to me and agreed to do the same.

Recently dined at Yakamoz on a busy Friday night after wanting to try the new restaurant since it opened. Had a great experience with lovely food and good service. Had a bottle of the Turkish wine which was lovely and had the starter platter for 2 and then meat platter for 2 for main. Food was delicious and was nice to be able to try a bit of everything. The restaurant was busy but the service still very good, if anything a bit too efficient and quick between courses but only a minor thing and would definitely recommend and look to return soon!

We were very satisfied with our visit today. The food was delicious, the staff were very friendly and the place was very well presented and comfortable. We found a few times that we were waiting a little longer than we would have liked but it was a busy Mother’s Day lunchtime so this is not unusual. We will definitely return.

Had the pleasure of dining at Yakamoz Meze Bar and it did not disappoint! From the moment I walked in I was impressed with the ambiance and decor. The service was exceptional - friendly, attentive, and accommodating. For starters, I tried calamari, sucuk and cigara borek and and they were all fantastic. The flavours were bold and authentic. For my main course, I ordered the lamb chops and they were cooked to perfection. The meat was melt in the mouth tender and juicy, perfect amount of char and the seasoning was spot on. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. The food, service, and atmosphere are all top-notch. I can't wait to come back and try more dishes on the menu. 5 star restaurant.

What a much needed different food experience in Ampthill. After hearing praise for this new eatery through friends, my husband and I ate last night, it was busy with plenty of staff. The Turkish wine was really good, excellent value and the food was delicious. whilst its not cheap its not overpriced as the quality, quantity and ambience of the entire evening was well worth it

I came here for dinner on their opening day and I must say, the food was amazing! I’d say the best Turkish food I’ve tasted yet!! The staff were very friendly and the owners made us feel so welcome! Service was quick and the waiter was always on hand checking everything was ok. I recommend this restaurant 100% will definitely return as a regular! Absolutely smashed it. The decor, ambience, welcoming staff…& we haven’t even got to the food yet… Superb Turkish food, simply cooked & presented but absolutely delicious. Really great to have Turkish music, beers, desserts & even Turkish tea to finish. Trying to work out if we can come again tomorrow…
