Food was good, service wasn’t fantastic. Asked for a high chair and was told they didn’t have one, but within 5 minutes somehow managed to find one somewhere. No help was offered to get the high chair set-up and had to sit at the table the whole time with an extra chair hanging around. No children’s menu either so would definitely say this is NOT CHILD FRIENDLY. The service was slow - it took ages for them to take our order, but of course they were quick to make sure there were poppadoms and drinks on the table before anything else. Starters were mediocre, but not fresh - samosa arrived warm on the outside, but frozen in the middle. Curry was good and portions were decent - rice could definitely be shared between 2. Unfortunately, plates were being cleared before we’d even finished eating and it felt like we were being rushed out. Quite disappointing.

We were a large party celebrating two birthdays. We were welcomed, served quickly by polite and helpful staff. The food was excellent and in good portions. Overall, excellent.

This is one of the best Indian/Nepalese restaurants around. The food is fantastic well presented, and delicious. The staff are very polite and so courteous making the whole experience very enjoyable.

Went to the Yak & Yeti with my friend for an early dinner last night. Service was excellent throughout. After being served drinks and poppadoms I had the Yak & Yeti mixed grill starter. It was beautifully presented and full of flavour. We both chose the Gorkhali Chicken for our main course along with some rice and bread. Typically, we're both fans of spicier dishes and the Gorkhali Chicken was quite mild for us - but the flavours were amazing and it was extremely well cooked and the portions were generous. I know I would be quite happy to have the same dish on another occasion. The host was outstanding through-out our time there and the ambience of the restaurant is very pleasant. I look forward to going there again.

Smit is an amazing mulititasker and an excellent runner of the front of Yak&Yeti on the Sunday evening. Very polite and kind. Also delicious food - could not choose the favoiture. We will be coming back! ❤️

Ordered a takeaway from Yak & Yeti after hearing good reviews about it and wanted to try somewhere different. My order was delivered in a timely fashion however items were missing. After 2 phone calls with the restaurant, I was told they would send a member of the kitchen staff to deliver the missing items and this would be within the next 25 minutes. 45 minutes later… it finally arrived and the rest of my food was cold. Really poor service from the restaurant and will not be ordering again.

We had a dinner at that place last week, and they provided us with a £10 voucher, which we appreciated. This week, we returned to have dinner there once again. When we finished and requested the bill, I presented the voucher to have its value deducted from the total. The staff member seemed unsure and asked us to wait while she consulted someone else. After a few minutes, another person approached us and informed us that we could not use the voucher because we were a party of two and had only ordered one main course and one side dish, which we believed was sufficient for us. We explained that we were unaware of this condition, as it was not stated on the voucher. All the terms and conditions listed on the voucher were satisfied, but there was no mention of how many main courses needed to be ordered or any minimum spending requirement. We went over the terms and conditions with the individual, and eventually, they agreed to honor the voucher, but it felt as though they were doing us a favor by letting us get away with it this time. We perceived their actions as an intentional effort to avoid accepting the voucher. We struggled to find a more favorable explanation, especially considering that the terms and conditions were explicit and we had carefully reviewed them before presenting the voucher. It would have been preferable if they had not given us any vouchers at all rather than treating us in such a manner.Vouchers are typically intended to foster customer loyalty, but in this case, they failed to retain our loyalty, along with the £10 value of the voucher :).

Service and atmosphere is good but food not so, starter portions were ridiculously tiny, very oily and no taste, just some fancy presentation to make it look good but quality of food is very low. Would not recommend if you are someone who likes good Curry , this is not the place

I went to this restaurant with my friends and we had some awesome food. The service was really great and we had some complementary pappadam and chocolates. I would recommend this to everyone who is local to Beeston. Plus: It is very affordable for students as well. I had a great experience and the owner is really humble.

I can only wholeheartedly recommend Yak and Yeti. They not only have the best Indian and Nepalese food in Nottinghamshire but they also provide you with the best service. The prices are very reasonable too. Sit in or take away; it's your choice :-). They offer both options.

Yak and Yeti has such a great selection of Nepalese and Indian dishes. I recommend Momos, Gorkhali Chicken.

Tonight we had an amazing night. We booked a meal for 26 people for my dad's birthday. We communicated with the staff on the lead up to the party and they were very helpful, allowing us to arrive early to decorate. The staff were very attentive but not intrusive. The food variety was fantastic and cooked beautifully. We had two members of the party with dietary requirements and the chefs cooked a seperate, superb, meal for them. Honestly, can't rate them high enough for the service and expierience we had. Would recommend to anyone.

Fab food. Maitre de is top notch. Service second to none. Squeezed us in on a Saturday and have always had a great donner, drinks and spent more than we intended because the service was so outstanding. X

Have heard great things about the food and got a takeaway. Restaurant looked nice. The food was a let down though, naan was not fully cooked and doughy, the Samosa chaat did not have any sauce, and the Paneer Makhani sauce tasted like tomato soup.

6 pm booking, food on the table by 6.15. Eaten by 6.45. Took some time to enjoy our drinks as meal had gone very fast, but were told we needed to leave as 'we had their only spare table', ignoring all the other spare tables. A real shame as the food was first rate. Won't be going again, less than 60 minutes to eat a 30 pound per head meal isn't good service for me.

The 6 of us went last night for the first time, wished we had tried it before, lovely curries, excellent service and friendly staff with Cobra on draught aswell. Definitely will be back, it's advisable to book as it's not a big restaurant and was busy when we arrived.

Ordered a takeaway. They took the wrong order and gave me the wrong dish. I rang back advising they gave me the wrong dish. Gentle man said they will deliver it as I am half an hour away with friends around at my home . Would have taken me 1 hour to come back etc.. He said he will deliver it.. 30 mins later rang back and said they can't deliver it.. so poor service. Thye could have put this in the taxi and got this delivered. Will never go back to this resturant and so poor response. Food was average. Attitude was so poor.

This has become our go to Indian Restaurant. You get a few dishes that you wouldn't find at your usual Indian restaurant. The food is always delicious and the staff are very friendly.

I've sat here to eat, got takeaway and also delivery multiple times. The service is always great and staff are all friendly. They offer wonderful assistance when it comes to queries about what to get and spice levels and have customised it to our spice taste level before. The atmosphere is relaxing at the restaurant when dining in. Food is delicious. My personal favourites are the Shahi Chicken, the Onion Bhajis and their Pilau Rice. Would recommend 100%

We had a wonderful dinner here. The food has so much flavour and the staff are so friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for an excellent meal in Nottingham.

By far the best curry in Nottingham, Calcutta Club included. The flavour in the Sherpa Chicken is immense, so deep but not too heavy on spice. Lamb chops are divine, melt in the mouth, puri beautiful. Staff are so sweet and friendly. It’s our regular, knocks Lagan out of the field.

Really great service and the flavours are incredible, there was a slight mix up on the order but this was immediately resolved, really enjoyed the food and the bread especially was amazing

Went last night for my son 16th birthday, food was delicious, service 10/10. Absolutely loved it. Highly recommended in Beeston this restaurant to celebrate any occasion.

We went here for our wedding anniversary meal last night, from entering to leaving we were made to feel very welcome. Between us we had chicken tikka masala, saag aloo, king prawn kharahi, pilau rice, naan and a roti. The food was amazing! Everything got eaten. Portion sizes are very generous (Our eyes were bigger than our bellies). For drinks we had Cobra lager and Peacock cider, both very nice and refreshing. We had a lovely surprise from the owner who upon learning it was our wedding anniversary brought out a desert with happy anniversary written on the plate in chocolate sauce. We will be returning and would highly recommend this restaurant. The atmosphere is nice with a chilled out, relaxed atmosphere, no pushing you to order more food or drinks, they just knew when was the right time to check in on you. 10 out of 10 for Yak and Yeti 🙌

Was very busy when we visited; waiting times long and staff were rushed, but polite and friendly. Had the lamb chops to start; these were pale-coloured, soft, and bland, tasting of little; I assume slow cooked and therefore missing the crispness and charring I associate with good chops. The main of Gurkhali chicken was better; not a dish I've ever tried before - a very mild, tangy, almost fruity curry. Not really my thing, but nice enough. Naans were flat, more like chapatis than the fluffy bready naans I'm used to (maybe a nepalese thing?). I wasn't entirely convinced, but there was enough there to give another go and try more from the menu.

Booked in for 7pm-seated at 7pm the greeting from this restaurant is outstanding. This is our seventh visit & we have decided that we will come even more regular due to the quality of everything here. Food fabulous,wine good quality,service is exceptional so try this place if you have not yet done so it is a little gem. Good idea to book. Namaste.

What a fantastic little restaurant! Popped in for a meal with the family yesterday for my birthday and could not fault anything. The way in which the staff catered for my autistic son, and welcomed us was superb, and the food was magnificent. I would recommend this to anyone who likes Nepalese or traditional curry dishes... the Prawn Puri, Chili Fish, Mo Mo's, Gurkhali Chicken, Goan Sea Bass Curry and the Jalfrezis are outstanding. Fantastic all round, and we will be back soon.

We had the displeasure of food from yak n yeti beeston absolute yak had two currys both very dry hardly any sauce coconut rice it wasn't only saving grace was nan bread for the best around try the calcuta club maid Marion way nots you won't be disappointed this one is seven star by far

Mid week meal, most enjoyable evening

Great place. Nothing is too much for the staff. We ordered a take away. I asked for something that wasn't on the menu, the chief cooked it..no problem and was actually better than I have had from other places. Litten ordered a korma, which she didn't like when she tried it. But different Curry houses, different flavours. Also didn't get the salad/pickles with the starter 😕 Would I use again...definitely!

We ordered take away chicken korma and it was just... Not it. It was so sweet it tasted like sweet potatoes and carrot soup. When we called to provide feedback we were told it's supposed to taste like that - except we know full well it's not true! We spent 60£ on food we didn't even eat

Absolutely fantastic. First time here and we were not disappointed. The food was so tasty and freshly made. The service was excellent and whilst not very fast for the food to arrive, you could tell it was freshly made so the slight wait did not bother us. First Indian restaurant we’ve tried since moving to Beeston, doubt we’ll need to try any others now as the food at Yak and Yeti was fantastic. Large portions, tender meat, great value and the staff were extremely friendly. Definitely going to be one we go back to time and time again, can’t wait to take the in-laws!

I went out with a bunch of my friends to this amazing restaurant last night because we were all craving Indian food and this place was absolutely wonderful. The manager greeted us with such warmth and excitement and the food was out of the world. Every dish we tried reminded us of home and the staff was very friendly and courteous. Definitely try the chef’s speciality “Ghorkali Chicken”, you will not regret it. The best restaurant experience in the UK hands down. Cannot wait to go back again!

Food is good, however marked down for repeated poor time management, quoting times they never meet to deliver (for takeaways). If you're prepared to wait all evening for your meal, I'd recommend, otherwise go elsewhere. Used them again and the same - lies about the food being delivered when in fact they hadn’t even cooked it. Nice food but service is shocking

Ordered a take away and the food was mostly cold and some of it just tepid, the order came to over £45.00, we were charged double delivery as we said could they put it in two separate bags as one was for our friend who we paid for to be delivered at the same address at the same time. I spoke to the manager to complain about the cold food, he said he would ring me back tomorrow, which he didn't, so I rang him and he said he would ring back in ten minutes, which he didn't, so after half an hour I rang him again, he said they used a delivery company to deliver their food and it was nothing to do with them, he refused to give us a free meal or our money back, if you went to a restaurant and the food was cold you would be given another hot meal, a business is accountable if they use a delivery company and that company delivers it cold......... very disgusted with their attitude,. Not right atall.

First time visiting Yak and Yeti. The service was excellent with very attentive staff. The food was outstanding, full of flavour and just the right portion sizes which didn’t leave feeling uncomfortable. I had the Prawn Puri starter and the Sherpa Chicken and all I can say is amazing dishes. Will definitely being visiting again.

Delicious food and the staff were super friendly. Prices are fairly standard for a sit down place. Came to about £80 for 3 curries, rice, bread, a load of starters and 2 or 3 pints each for 3 (hungry) people 🙂

Absolutely beautiful meal! The food was all cooked to perfection. We had a mixed table of paneer, chicken and the sea bass curry. All around the table was positive. We just walked in and managed to get a table On a Sunday evening. Wouldn’t highly recommend and would be happy to go again with friends and family. 👍🏼👍🏼
