We arranged to meet early and were amazed by how many people had also taken the early option. The atmosphere was immediately welcoming, relaxed and friendly. The concern for dietary requirements astonishing, with a guide left on the table while we browsed the huge, delicious looking menu. The service was attentive without being overpowering, the choice enormous, with my vegetarian Indian tapas, although an unexpected genre, were delectable. Prices were fair and the experience a pleasure from beginning to end!

Took a punt on booking based on reviews and was not disappointed. Fantastic food and service. Curry was quite simply one of the best I’ve tasted in a long time. Service was attentive and friendly. Hugely recommended

My partner and I came here for a Friday Night date-night a couple of weeks ago. The staff were friendly and welcoming from the minute we stepped through the door. The food choice was ample - there really is something for everybody. They take into consideration allergies and intolerances, and also dietary preferences (meat/dairy free options available). Despite it being exceptionally busy, there wasn't a long wait for food after ordering. It was hot, fresh, and delicious. The only reason I have marked the atmosphere as 4 stars is because it was so loud in there that it was difficult to hear eachother when having a conversation - that's purely down to how wonderful / popular / great the restaurant is, (every table was full so of course it was going to be loud) - but I would recommend that anybody who is hard of hearing / anybody who is sensitive to loud/mixed noises take this into consideration. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and we will definitely be back for more soon!

I've loved both my visits here. The staff are very attentive and friendly; I never felt like we were forgotten. Then the quality of the food was excellent. I ordered from the set menu, which was great value and gave a really interesting selection of food, nicely presented. Nice that there was a choice between meat or vegetarian set menus. Thoroughly recommended!

Staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient however the food was extremely poor. It was the worst Indian food we have had. Low quality and tasteless. Very confused with all of the 5 star reviews. Will not be returning and wouldn’t recommend.

We ordered a delivery at 8.30pm on Wednesday evening, delivery time was up to 60 minutes but food arrived after 35 minutes, excellent hot food. Would definitely recommend

Just wanted to share how awesome my birthday celebration was at Indian Lagan! The staff there were so friendly and accommodating, making the whole experience even better. Big shoutout to my buddy Jayanth for telling me about this place – you rock, man! The vibe was just right for a birthday bash, and let's talk about the food – it was AMAZING! Every dish was bursting with flavor, and I couldn't get enough. Seriously, if you're ever in the mood for some fantastic Indian food and a good time, Indian Lagan is the place to be!

So I don’t like indian food normally but I was convinced to go for my Daughters Birthday and so please I did food was amazing I don’t normally like entertainment but the singer who was on the other Saturday night was fabulous really made the night he got every one involve so thank you we will Definitely be back and hoping the entertainment will be on 2 loved it thank you would recommend

I have been a regular diner at Lagans for many years. The staff are always so friendly and attentive and very considerate paying attention to detail and remembering diners favourite drinks and dishes. The food never fails to impress and tastes wonderful. From the selection of Tapas to the Thali. Thank you to all the staff and bringing such lovely food to Beeston. Excellent food, take away family deals are great value.

The love for Indian food in Britain is very evident. Though Lagan Indian Tapas in nottingham seems to have not found it’s love for neither the food that it serves nor cuisine that it represents. Let’s start with the good: 1: Location is the restaurant is fantastic, easily accessible 2: The venue is spacious with loads of room. 3: Staff is welcoming, proactive and kind. Now on to the bad: 1: They use over burnt oil for deep frying. You can taste it. 2: Flavouring and seasoning seems to have evaded the CDC or perhaps no one in the kitchen bother tasting what they were serving. 3: Overpriced for the quality A below average Indian take away served better food. Never eat here if you care your health and your heart. Food gave me heart burn.

We ordered the special menu of a selection of Indian food. Food was great but the portions isn't the best. Its a great choice if you never tried Indian before as you have an experience of everything. Cocktails were nice and comes with 2 for 1 (same drink)

Celebrated my daughter's 21st here last night with a party of 13! It was fantastic. The service was top-notch, and the food was delightful. No complaints whatsoever. Food is pretty over priced but they do have very friendly staff. However; I want to see an inspection of the kitchen hygiene here. Second time in a row I’ve been and experienced extremely bad food poisoning. Once I can pass off as coincidence, but twice in a row…we won’t be coming back here until this is addressed. There is clearly a massive problem here in the kitchen or storage of food

I randomly went in this restaurant to ask if they did takeaway as the place I wanted to go was closed. I ordered a takeaway chicken wrap and chips. It was so delicious, and staff were so friendly, that me and my husband went back for a meal the following day. The service was brilliant, and we ordered the meat thali and 3 tapas dishes and every single dish was rich with flavour. The servers were there when we needed and we felt truly waited on. It's fresh, authentic Indian food and a true fine dining experience. We will be returning again soon.

Was rather worried thst on a Friday on run up to Christmas the service and good wouldn't be up to.much. However the despite the restaurant being packed our table was ready and lots of friendly helpful staff on hand . Food was great, very tasty I had the lagan special which was excellent. Highly recommend and will be back. It's really convenient for lots of pubs too

Warm host, professional service and good cocktail collection

We were concerned that this might not be the best as it was very quiet, however we really delighted with the restaurant, the welcome, the staff and most importantly the food. 4 of us ate off the tapas menu and all four of us thought the food was excellent. A good variety to choose from and three dishes each for £16 was good value. We would all recommend this restaurant. Oh and we found out it that Lagan had only been open just over two weeks and hence it was still quiet.

We have been here several times now and the food is always delicious and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. Great selection of vegetarian dishes and the staff are happy to accommodate for vegans too.

Best curry I’ve had in years, 4 of us dined early evening so wasn’t busy when we arrived, we were all very happy with the food and service, lovely restaurant and will return when in Nottingham. My gluten free friend was well catered for.

Well everything was wonderful and more than what anyone could ask for, ambience and food at its best. Except for a couple of mishaps. Yes, mishaps indeed. We got something we didn’t order a couple of times and had to advise them it was not our food. Secondly, and again not sure if it was deliberate, we got 2 bills handed over to us and when challenged there was a sarcastic response from the staff, rather an apology or anything courteous

I don’t bother to leave very many reviews so even the fact I’m writing this means it was very, very good! The butter chicken was exceptional, the most aromatic I’ve ever had and the service was perfect. Super attentive but not too hovering. I even liked the playlist! Warm, comfy seating. Very nice people. I’ll be back.

A real treat for the tastebuds, absolutely delicious food. Love the tapas theme as we were able to try multiple dishes. Food arrived quickly with a smile, great service 😀 The venue is decorated perfectly, creating a warm and welcomed atmosphere. If you have room, the cheesecake and ice cream end the meal beautifully. I particularly loved my elephant 🐘 I know it was meant for younger dinners, but it made my day.

Maybe its as i get old , but i really don’t like places that get loud. Noisy customers I know aren’t their fault, and the place was full, no cosy , quiet meal in here on a Friday evening. The food was good. I like their takeaways from the fridge in the day time.

Really good and tasty food at this restaurant. I especially enjoyed the options of tapas rather than a standard 'starter & main'. We ordered 4 tapas each so plenty of sharing plates to try. All dishes were fresh to the palette, piping hot and very tasty. Very recommended. The chilli fish was epic!!!

We had been at the Women's Ashes at Trent Bridge - back in Beeston near our Guest House with no reservations. Already turned away from one place for wearing shorts (shoutout to that bouncer), we were really in need of a solution at approaching 9pm....

I have been many times to Lagan to eat in many times and have always really enjoyed it.. how have I only just discovered they do a takeaway service Thursday-Saturday 11-1500 omg it was absolutely amazing and good prices.. il be getting one every week

It's a shame we quite like this place, we've ordered twice and the poppadum's were forgotten one of those times (they did deliver to be fair). Now we thought we would order again and pay for poppadum's and they turn up mashed to pieces. They need to do better quality of service really, for that reason we'll continue to order from Haveli instead as they never make mistakes. I understand it could be the delivery drivers fault but most places we order from package the food in a way to prevent this. It felt like there were 2 smashed up poppadum's and dips which would of been more suited to 5-6.
