Ordered takeaway from here a few months ago Curries were ok, they were edible. However we had some of the items in the order wrong including one of the curries. All of us had stomach cramps and diarrhea the next day. We now refer to the place as spice and 'word for poo that begins with s' I don't think it was due to the spice though. Would not recommend or order again.

Waited over 2 hours for the food to arrive. It was not very warm when it did arrive and the onion bhaji's were like rubber and not very tasty. Not using them again.

Food great, worst delivery times in the local area. Never deliver on time, always have to ring and chase. Order very early if you want to eat at a reasonable time.

Friendly & helpful staff, fab food

It is our go to place for take away anyway but went last night for an impromptu visit at 1930. Lovely atmosphere - delicious food carefully spaced out on delivery to the table by friendly waiters. Bring your own bottle - glasses provided at no cost. 4 courses pickles through to mains cost us just over £40. Excellent value. Will definitely be back for a birthday celebration. One thing to remember- it’s cash only 😃👍

Been her a few times in the past, but this was our last visit due to the fact that I'm guessing it's under new management & was not informed by text or email after I booked online that they only except cash payment. This caused a problem at the end of our meal which could of easily been avoided if only the staff had let us know. I don't agree with the cash only way of payment. We will spend our CASH elsewhere next time !

Came here whilst staying overnight locally. The food was amazing! Best curry I've ever experienced. The young lad was very attentive and made sure he looked after us. Would recommend. Shame it's so far from home for us. Otherwise, we'd be back.

I don't know whether we had takeaway on a bad day but we had three currys and each of them had minimal amount of chicken in each ,the sauces were unrecognisable of the type of curry we are use to and all three of us thought the curry only just edible .The best thing was the rice and chips. Both nan breads were doughy . I am surprised at good reviews on google

Went here based on other reviews and was very disappointed. Very little meat in a box of sauce. Save your money and get a meal in a bag from the supermarket.

Visited this restaurant a few times now and always found the food and service to be fantastic. You take your own beer which helps with the cost, but the price of the food is very fair too. We forgot our beer last night but the pub on the corner was happy to let us take a couple of pints over then return the glasses! Would absolutely recommend this place, especially the Paneer Tawa.

Just ordered tonight from there for the first time and I gotta say the food was outstanding 👌

Food was delicious, seats approx 25-30 people maybe. It's take your own alcohol so helps massively on the what you spend. Had a prawn puri to start, friend had mushrooms and another had onion bahji. For mains we had lamb Methi rice's and naan breads. Would definitely go again service was excellent they are very friendly in there.

Sadly my first time trying this Indian will be my last. Chicken dish was full of turkey meat - disgusting!

Chose S&S on the reviews I'd read and I'm pleased I did. Table of 9 enjoyed a friendly, welcoming, relaxed evening. All staff are efficient and friendly, service is smooth and relaxed, you don't feel hurried or pressured. The food was a delight, served with no fuss and presented nicely. A move away from the silver balti dish and blow your head off curries. Every dish was flavoursome and nicely spiced, you can taste the layers of flavours without things being too hot. A little gem, will return soon.

Found it really hard to find a good Indian takeaway since moving to Nottingham but this is great takeaway food and look forward to visiting when the family arrives!

Can I give 6 or more stars? Been consistently superb quality with deliveries over lockdowns. Ate in today as a treat and the food was delicious and the service was great. Fantastic little restaurant with big plates and big hearts. Can't recommend highly enough. Ooh. And it's BYOB too, which saves a buck or several.

We wasn't planning on eating here but the place we were going to was closed for a private function. So glad we decided to try Spice & Suave! Nice atmosphere, good service and friendly staff. The food was very tasty and good portions too. Take your own drinks, the hubby popped to the local shop for wine and beer. We will definitely be walking to this lovely local restaurant again.

Tried so many different Indian takeaways locally over the years always mostly dissatisfied so I was pleasantly surprised about how good our meal was last night. Excellent quality food the Chicken Tikka Balti was extremely tasty and just the right heat - the Mushroom Rice was perfect and the Keema Nan was perfect to mop up all the sauce. Will definitely order again next weekend. Delivery said would be 1 hour and it arrived within 50 mins so excellent service too. You now have a new customer

This is a very cozy restaurant. The staff are friendly and never rush you. You can bring your own alcohol which can almost double the bill at other establishments. I have swopped wine with other customers to try different wines, nice friendly place. I know my curries and these are excellent. Place is clean and smart and food is good value. Recommend try it please.

The brightest red tikka I have ever seen. Ridiculously sweet peshwari (supposed to be subtle) partner got the tiniest serving ever. Not much taste... Speedy service however, nice staff and the mango chutney was on point at least 😂

We have visited this restaurant on numerous occasions and the food is consistently excellent. Always freshly cooked, piping hot and served with a smile. It's also a bonus that you can take your own alcoholic drinks with you, so overall it makes for a very reasonably priced meal out. We have tried the other well known curry houses in the area, and whilst this is probably the smallest of them all, the quality of the food sets it miles apart from the competition. We have more recently ordered take-out and can confirm that the standards are equally as good for takeaway orders. Give it a try, a real hidden gem.

OMG!!!! This is an amazing restaurant with great service, food and drink. Even if you're picky,which i am, on food you'll still get plenty that you like.

We wandered in and it was empty but we were hungry so we decided to stay. What a great decision, we were given the time to decide what we wanted and after the "who was sharing" argument we ordered. The food was absolutely fantastic, the choices were all the old favourites plus some wonderful new options. Great service, we felt we could ask about anything and it was no problem. We will be back and it got busier as to be fair we got there just after 6pm. Love this restaurant.

Small intimate restaurant, only about 24 covers, but very nice decor. Does not have a drinks licence but take your own and no corkage charge but soft drinks must be bought there. The food is so good. Never tasted better in any Indian restaurant anywhere. It really is, in my opinion, excellent and well worth a visit.

Can't get you order right and when you complain they blame you. 3 times this happened to us. The last time they promised to send the correct order straight away and it never arrived.

Can not recommend this place enough. Lovely and clean. Nice decor and fabulous staff! The food is absolutely amazing. I’m working my way through the menu but have a couple of favourites that keep putting me off completion!!! One of the best features is the consistency of the food. Eat in or take away it tastes the same!! Bonus! The chef is superb. Gets it right every time! Whether I’ve been a party of two or twenty eight the standard of food and service has been excellent! Keep it up!

Had an amazing night at this place last night. Could not fault it. Amin the owner was so attentive, friendly and went out of his way to make it a wonderful night for me and my work colleagues. Spotlessy clean and the food was amazing. Amazing place and I shall certainly be back and spreading the word.

Been visiting here regularly now for the last year or so, since they were newly opened. The waiter/manager, Amin, is always around to recommend dishes and check in with you about how things are. I can highly recommend the modhu chillli chicken and the Mughal lamb. Service is fast, speedy and friendly, food is hot, fresh and tasty. Bring your own bottle is the much added bonus! This is my favorite go to now, and will be for a long time. Thanks team Spice :-)

We have visited several times over the last 9months and continue to be impressed with the different things we try on the menu. We visit as a couple and find that the cost is only slightly more than a takeaway as you can take your own alcohol with you, and you don’t have to wash the pots! Definitely worth a visit.

Local and used twice. Small enough to give that personal attention and service. Only some 24 seats which makes it a cosy "little" restaurant.Decided to explore the menu and had the Pathia tonight. Filled with spices, flavour and a hint of HOT which was cooled down by brining your own drinks.Doing this makes going out far more affordable and even change for a tip.Definitely going to be our local "little" Indian

Wow!!!! What a great place this is so relaxed the best Indian food ever!! The Boys that own this place and work here are so lovely and make you feel at home they don't rush you at all the service is amazing and the quality of the food is so good we all said it's the best curry we have tasted and we have been to a few Indian restsurants including some of the real well known ones in our local area... we will be back and recommend you to friends well done boys keep up the good work!!

Went for a birthday meal. They were very good about bringing out cake , including us leaving cake and drinks there while we popped to the pub next door for drinks. (We were 20 minutes early). Very small restaurant which can be a blessing or not, it could be extremely loud if the right clientele were in. (We were on the side of loud!) We were the only table for while and the starters didn't come out at the same time , albeit a small wait. However my husband's main seemed to be forgotten about.A while later (after enquiring) a Chicken tikka main (basically a large chicken tikka starter) was brought out on a skillet. We mentioned midmeal that we were expecting a sauce (as with every other chicken tikka masala we have ever had).We were told that chicken tikka always comes like this and "we will try and make that clear to people in future". I believe they substituted a chicken tikka for a chicken tikka masala, as they have forgotten this main. Bring your own alcohol is great but really the only reason to come here over somewhere like Akbar.

Eaten here tonight and food, service and ambience were all first class. Can’t wait to come back. Staff were so friendly.

Went to the Spice & Suave on New Year’s Eve for a meal with friends. Restaurant is reasonably small so you get quite intimate dining.

Really nice food but let down by the delay it took to receive it then when I did my starter was missing rang to advise & was told I would be refunded there & then but 3 days later still no refund so disappointing to say the least.

Went tonight with friends. One of the best curry’s I’ve ever tried. The whole experience was excellent. The service was great. The presentation was excellent. Highly recommend.

Beautiful food which felt like the chef cared about the dishes presented. We had chicken pakora, mixed kebab starters then the goshti and nilfi(i think it was). Staff were all great. Will definitely be returning with more people!

A friend and I tried this place, after being disappointed with the inconsistency of the curry houses in her town. We tried it based on the previous rave reviews, with high expectations. We were not disappointed! I had the chilli chicken modhi and she had the lamb mughal, both recommended by the waiter. Both dishes were delicious, good portion sizes and full of flavour with good quality meat. In fact, we were so impressed we were back there 2 weeks later ordering the same dishes! Pleased to report that the dishes were of consistently good quality, and again the service was quick, attentive and friendly. This place is also BYOB which is an added bonus. We'll be back again very soon, a new firm favourite! :-)

Heard good & bad about this place (mostly good) so thought as we are curry fans we would give it a try.Have to agree with the previous review, I've tried to order a takeaway on a Friday night ,rang lots of times to no answer which is extremely rude , especially as a new restaurant that surely wants to do well.What is the point in having a phone number if you are not going to answer it ???? We also ended up going to Mughal Tandoori across the road & had a lovely meal too. So will be using Mughal for takeaways, & there are a few good Indian restaurants nearby that actually DO answer their phones for a sit down meal.

Had a Fabulous meal for two last week! Delicious flavour’s, delivery on time and food was hot. So decided to order again tonight!

So I saw this on passing and reviews looked good so really wanted to try it. Numerous phone calls to order a takeaway on Saturday 6 Oct each time just ringing and then getting cut off! Hence no order managed to be placed. Resorted to trying Mughal Tandoori by ordering online, confirmation of time delivery and arrived on time. Fantastic curry and we will be using them again. Note to Suave and Spice, not answering the phone at any point is bad customer service!

The four of us (2 adults, 2 children) enjoyed a brilliant meal. Staff are friendly and helpful. Starters very nice, spicy and hot and our main courses were delicious, well presented and worth every penny! They even sorted a birthday cake for me when they realised we were celebrating. Very highly recommended!

Ordered a meal from Spice and Suave through JustEat, with payment up front and the order confirmed. I was rang 40 minutes later to be told they had suddenly decided to cancel the order based on our location. They had this information for 40 minutes. Awful service. Do not recommend.

This is now our 'most local' curry house (since closure of the Raj Poor into another bloody hair and nail place!!) and our first impressions were very good. It's a small place (8 tables?) so, if it takes off, booking a table is likely to be a necessity. It's unlicensed for alcohol but they are very open for you to bring your own. Note that there is both a late night Co-op and off-licence in the vicinity but neither are what you would call 'close by'.

1st time here with friends for my birthday, a lovely meal for 6 of us, they use different types of flavours so you get a more spicy taste, all food was cooked to perfection and served by a smile, a small restaurant but clean and cosy, spotless toilets, the take away side look as it was very busy as well good luck to them a gem and good service, please note you have to take your our drinks but that was not a problem. No parking but there is a car park a little way along on the right free after 6pm.

This review relates to a takeaway. Overall we thought the food was good, the pickle tray was fine but the mango chutney a touch on the thick side. The onion bhajees could have been more spicy and the pilau rice was okay. Vegetable methi was fine and vegetable murgi masala was memorable. Both had a spot more ghee on the surface than we would have liked. Overall a very reasonable meal.

6 friends on a friday food was excellent and sevice was second to none the vibe and atmosphere was very appealing the bill was surprisingly very low for a two course keep up the good work guys we will be back.

Visited first time Saturday night. Would have got 5 stars but for two things dirty front door and mix up on food. Had these been OK a 5 plus would have been on the cards as service, food and price all excellent you can even take you own drinks which is also a plus.
