We were warmly greeted and sat at our table without delay, the menu was extensive, but as we ordered, the manager made a couple of recommendations. The food came promptly and it was delicious, full of flavour and just to our liking.

Arrived to an empty restaurant, just two other diners. Poppadoms were very nice and the highlight of the night. Unfortunately it was all downhill from there. Starters were ok, but mains were awful. One was so bitter. It was obvious that the garlic and spices had been burnt. Husband requested lamb curry and was told that they had run out of lamb!!! We won't be returning.

We have been here a number of times since we were recommended by friends. Having just moved into the area, we were looking for a good Indian restaurant, and we have found what we were looking for! The service is excellent, with good descriptions of the dishes on offer, and suggestions on what to have according to taste preferences. The food has been excellent every time and is reasonably priced. I would recommend a visit to anyone, and will definitely be going back.

Amazing food even though I don’t like Indian they accommodated for me

We chose this restaurant based on distance as they were closest and had decent reviews. Food was cold when it arrived, despite only being round the corner from the restaurant. Meats were chewy, as was the naan. Sauces the curries were in were nice after reheating.

Dropped in on the off chance after not being able to find anywhere at short notice for a meal . Looks like we have found a gem of a place . Service was very good food was fantastic and a nice atmosphere. I am looking forward to having a hot methi next time with some peshwari naan bread .

The best chicken tikka massala I've had in a very long time

We celebrated our birthdays here recently and had a wonderful time. The staff were amazing and food as gorgeous as ever. We were a party of 17 and had a great evening. Will definitely be back!

Mixed experience here. The staff and the service were fine however the food quality compared to the price wasn't great One of our party had Chicken Tikka Masalla, Rice and Naan Bread and that was over £20 alone. I had tandoori chicken tikka and a keema nan. They chicken was very dry and lacked flavour, the bread was great though. There are lots of great Indian restaurants in Notts so competition is tight and you need to excel.

Very average food don't think we will be returning

Great place, and what a lovely tasting curry we had. The flavours were delicious. Today had another great curry with family. £105 for 4 of us included poppadoms for 4 with 2 x pickle trays, 1 x starter, 1 x side, 4 x Mains, 4 x rice's & 3 x naans.

Never ever leave a bad review but this was a bad takeaway. Genuine review and i can assure you they have no room for argument on what I type.. Never had a soggy what looked liked steamed seekh kebab in my mixed starter with onions that have never seen a cooking pan.. the salad was from a aldi pre packed bag with a single tomato ...main course madras. Reminded me of an ASDA / Tesco jar curry. Total disappointment .. Will stick to my regular takeaway. Hope you sort the kitchen ASAP. Not taking pictures and embarrassing the establishment any more.. a no from me...

A vey nice meal. We eat Lime's food regularly, and the sit in experience at the restaurant is great. Lovely food, and great service. The atmosphere is just right too. Will be back.

The chilli chicken was way to hot - more like a vindaloo, I’ve had chilli chicken before from lime and it was nothing like this. to the point where I couldn’t even eat it.

Hi. The meal wasn’t as good as previous. My wife thought her Bhuna tasted beefy although it was chicken. My vindaloo had one piece of potato in and the source was very thin.

Avoid.. Very poor group experience. The food tasted exactly like a Asda price curry jar (the absolute cheapest one), the meat was hard, stringy and chewy. The hygiene was questionable. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. This is not a high standard restaurant as advertised online. Full of noisey drunken people spilling drinks everywhere, and vaping inside. The place itself was extremely dirty. So dirty my trainers were sticking to the carpet which was stained with filth. The waiters took the wrong orders, brought out the food all incorrectly, sides went cold about time the mains arrived, the bill added items we did not order or eat. Truly a awful experience. DO NOT let the photos online fool you, this place looks nothing like advertised online. Save yourself the money and disappointment.

It’s difficult writing this review as both of us used to LOVE the food here. I hadn’t eaten from here for approximately 11 years until today, it used to be my favourite Indian restaurant and I’d have a takeaway from here once a week (minimum) for a couple of years. The owner is really nice - hasn’t changed hands, so when we arrived to pick up the food I had no doubts that the food would be delicious. Unfortunately, this was not the case. I had the Chicken Tikka Masala - the chicken was dry & tough, the sauce was very thick & a little spicy (no sweetness or creaminess). I couldn’t even eat half of it sadly. It does come with rice, you don’t have to order it separately so that was good. However, it was not nice - do not recommend! Lamb Biryani - ordered mild, it was extra spicy. Overpowering which ruined the dish. Lamb was dry & tough. Very disappointing- do not recommend. Onion Bhaji’s - best part of the meal. Veg Pakora - they were disgusting. Burnt, dry, chewy & completely tasteless. I tried to eat them but they were inedible. These used to be soooo good. Poppadoms - nice. Total cost was £34. Expensive to say that half of it went in the bin. I didn’t read the other reviews until afterwards and it’s a shame because it used to be a 5 star place. The staff today were friendly & welcoming, service was fast. A massive shame that the food was so disappointing. Sadly we won’t return.

Sticky floor, curry on menu. Unauthentic food, table next door were smoking in doors. I informed the staff who didn't ask the other customers to stop smoking indoors.

DO NOT COME, WASTE OF MONEY! Came here tonight with a big group and was all left extremely disappointed. Service was incorrect. Lots of mistakes made throughout the whole night. The servers brought the wrong food out and weren't bothered about guest's. Food was inedible and didn't match descriptions on menu. Had the chicken curry and meat was very chewy and weird stringy texture. As a person of punjabi origin I can comfirm the food tasted unauthentic and was made with little effort. The decor seemed nice on the outside but when looking at detail once sat in the restaurant you can see it is run down and also had sticky dirty carpeting. The restaurant was a big let down and waste of our money. I am advising you it is better to go somewhere else. It is my first and last time here.

Very very low quality food at a expensive price tag. There are so many better indian restraunts, il never come back, first and last time. Food was literally horrendous, servcie was incompetent.

Food was cold, onion bhaji burnt. Chicken was chewy, lamb bhuna not spicy/hot. Not worth the money at all.

We were all looking forward to a lovely curry, we were really disappointed as all our meals tasted really sweet. I think they must have poured a bag of sugar into our mains. We won't be going again.

Food wasn’t fresh everything was preheated from the starters to the main except the keema naan was freshly cooked with a tiny layer of meat .

We went and ate here fairly early Sunday evening and there was only one other table sitting. I'm not sure why as the food was spot on.

Went for a meal with friends ,we hadn't been for a while but we will definitely be back soon.The service we received was first class and we were given advice about the menu,the food was delicious and I would definitely recommend the restaurant.

Very highly recommended. The delivery food is great, The eat in at the restaurant is even better. Friendly service too. It gets busy after 8pm so book a table. I went with family and kids so got a 6pm slot to avoid the crowds Recommend the handi curry and the vegetable samosa

My wife and I booked to come here because we were happy that the reviews we'd seen were definitely good enough. We didn't know the area or the restaurant before. We weren't disappointed. Great decor, decent toilets, very welcoming are all bonus statements. But the food has to be great. On the whole it really was. I had Anarkali Chicken, which I hadn't heard of previously, but was medium hot with a sweet and spicy rich sauce to it. Very different but lovely. My wife had tandoori chicken on the bone but it fell off the bone really nicely! She was impressed. The standard sides of Bombay potatoes, Pilau rice and naan were perfectly good without being exceptional but trying to get over a long standing cold I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt here! We were served by a lovely chap called Ronny/Roni who was very attentive and had the right balance of chat, questions and info and then left us to get on with our meal. I left a tip, which is rare for me. Mainly due to Roni to be honest. He was a credit the restaurant. Would I come here again, YES. Would I recommend it to my friends, YES too! Happy punters here!

Very quiet and my curry was a little more like stew than normal. Was a favourite but not this time

My starter dish that fell short of my expectations was the lamb chops. I had been looking forward to tender, succulent pieces of lamb cooked to perfection. However, what I received was far from that. The lamb was undercooked and chewy, making it difficult to enjoy the dish. One of the dishes I was most excited to try was the famous Chicken Masala. I had heard that it was a delicious and flavorful curry dish, so I was eagerly anticipating a burst of flavors when I took my first bite. However, when the dish arrived at my table, I was surprised to see that the chicken masala was red in color, rather than the vibrant orange I had expected. Now, I know that appearance shouldn't be the sole basis for judging a dish, but it was hard to get past the initial shock. The red hue made the dish look more like a tomato-based pasta sauce than a traditional Indian curry. Unfortunately, the taste didn't make up for the disappointing presentation either. The flavors were bland and lacked the complexity I had anticipated. So, why did my experience with Indian food leave me feeling disappointed? I believe there are a few factors at play here. First, it's important to note that taste preferences are subjective. What one person finds delicious, another might find bland. Timing I couldn't help but notice that the minutes were passing by slowly. I glanced at my watch and realized that it had been nearly half an hour since I placed my order. The meal wasn’t worth the price I paid for wouldn’t recommend It took so long to getting my bill aswell

Food is delicious every time, lime in nuthall is our go to every time we fancy a curry, taste is always spot on and very quick delivery

We had a takeaway tonight. We have always used Lime. So disappointed tonight. One curry very watery. No free onion bharji (seems we didn't tick a tiny box) and despite always having 3 dips with our poppadom.. Only 2 tonight I phoned and was told nothing they could do as I should have added the bhaji to my basket to get it free, no only 2 dips. Really poor responce to a customer. We didn't bother with the watery curry as they area clearly not bothered about loyal customers.. Oh and they charge you 50p for the super service. Doubt we will be going/using again. Really sad and very disappointed

Good food but if you order a delivery to your house you can guarantee they will forget something

We dropped in without a reservation as we weren’t locals but were looking for somewhere to eat. They made a real effort to fit us in despite being really busy. They had to put us near the door but they put a little heater by our table so we were nice and warm. The food was amazing and they were really attentive and polite. If we were locals this would definitely be our go to curry house!!!

Always usually order from here but we ordered 2 weeks ago for my Birthday and were disappointed. The Balti was lacking in flavour and my KM was really acridy and bitter like the spices hadn't been cooked out enough. The poppadoms and tikka masala were nice which my son had. It makes me concerned to order again as it's not a cheap treat to have especially if you don't enjoy it. Fingers crossed it was a rare bad meal.

Went in to order and takeaway. Waited for food then returned home. Only to get the food out and they had gave us korma instead of rogan josh. Took it back and all they did was replace the wrong curry’s. Said they had a new packer. By the time I got back home. The rice was cold and chips freezing. What a waste of money. Meal was ruined. They didn’t even give me my change had to ask for it. Such bad service

Tasty but didn't seem as nice as usual. Chicken was a little dry but sauces nice. Just not up to the usual exceptional standard somehow. Samosas excellent and spicy as usual. Naan were a little cold.

Went in the restaurant to order a delivery. Food came on time service was standard. The food though very disappointing . Order lamb and chicken curry and was the worst I’ve had. In comparison to other places I’ve eaten from this has to definitely be at the bottom of the list and won’t be returning. Was embarrassing as had friends round and the food let the evening down and everyone left hungry lucky I had cake and custard ready for dessert

Bland curries with tuff old meat

Too noisy. Food ok. Bugbear is no salt on the table. I've asked for it and been lectured! I like a bit of salt on my rice. Not a place I'd choose to go but a lot of people like it and it wins awards so hey ho.

Second time we have been. Again the meal was brilliant the staff are very friendly and helpful . You take your own alcohol and they bring you glasses for it

Absolutely amazing food, I ordered online and collected myself. The staff were super friendly upon arrival and had my dinner ready for me, quick look around the restaurant and it was very tidy and well presented. I would highly recommend either dinning or takeaway as the food was very delicious, defiantly will be back during our 5 month UK holiday from NZ!

First and last visit. Very disappointing. Miserable staff and average food. Tough thin dry lamb chops, very spicy but lacking flavour, odd tasting batter on the king prawn starter. Dry chicken in the mains. Onion Bhaji good(!) Even if the food was better the staff need to cheer up and be warm & friendly to their guests, god it was hard work. So unwelcoming. Cannot understand how it has won awards. Would not recommend.

I fancied something a bit different than my usual go-to curry, so I tried a chicken tikka jalfrezi hot for a change, Honestly it's the best curry I've had, it was absolutely delicious.

Visited Lime as its local to us and have been coming here for years. Friendly staff and as always great food! Highly recommend coming here if you've never been. Their take away service is just as good and highly recommended too.

I go here every time I visit Nottingham. The food is fantastic. They do not serve beer and wine but you can bring your own, but make sure it's in bottle's as they don't allow cans. You can also buy beer and wine at the Spar store next to the restaurant.
