Wednesday 19th March 2025 Popped in for some lunchtime food with my daughter after a bad experience at a nearby hostelry. As always bar staff very friendly and service very quick. Asked if we could sit outside to eat as a lovely day - no problem but sit at certain tables. My daughter and I took our drinks outside and wanted to sit at a table in the sun until food was ready, when we would move to area advised. The young girl brought out our food and kindly said don't move you are ok there. Thank-you so much for your service, every little helps! Enjoyed the burger and my daughter her steak. Will definitely be visiting again!

Visited this pub yesterday and having read some bad reviews i was a bit wary but as soon as we got there i realised I shouldn’t have worried! Excellent friendly staff especially the landlady at the entrance who made us very welcome. Food was nice and hot and drinks very reasonably priced. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

The lady at the door i think was the manager so rude super passive aggressive for no reason will not go again !

I had an unbelievably frustrating experience recently. When we walked in, there was no one greeting us or mentioning any issues with table turn arounds/delays in the kitchen etc we were left completely in the dark. Naturally, it’s a pub, so we assumed we could simply come in, order a drink, and enjoy some food. Everything started off fine; the waitress smiled at us as we sat down, and drinks were brought to our table without a hitch. However, things took a turn for after we had been sitting at the table for a whole hour with no sign of our food. (This wasn’t a huge issue as we were all enjoying each others company and having a laugh) Out of nowhere, a staff member—who looked like she was the manager in a black polka dot blouse approached us with an angry tone, insisting we shouldn’t have sat there because the table would be needed in 40 minutes. This was the first we were hearing of this and I emphasised this by informing her we have been sat here for an hour and no one has approached us. She claimed she had "missed" us, even though a separate member of staff had previously explained that our order was placed and gone through however that it might take 40 minutes to an hour to receive our food. ( this again was no issue on our part) but I don’t think it’s fair that we were left to sit there for an hour without any communication, and now we're being reprimanded for sitting at a table When we calmly expressed that we were aware of the situation, asking what she suggested we do, she just shrugged and acted like it wasn’t her role to provide solutions to an issue that lies with her, not us. There were no reserved signs on the table when we sat down, and the area was practically empty with multiple empty tables seating the same amount of covers as the table we are on. With three children in tow, we were just trying to find a place to enjoy our meal without causing a scene. Feeling uncomfortable due to her aggression, and poor attitude we suggested we just get a refund and leave, but was told no because the chefs were already preparing our food. So when we then asked well what would she like us to do was told ‘well you’re the ones that came in and sat yourselves down’ and shrugged once again then walked off. Again providing no solution to the issue. This was the last encounter we had with the quite frankly embarrassing member of staff. However she is Correct, we did, as this is being sold as a family friendly pub, but it seems we appear to be mistaken. Shortly after that, when the food arrived, the steak flatbread was stone cold. At that point, I didn’t want to deal with it any longer and given the strict time frame that had been put before us I didn’t want to delay our exiting so I ate my meal in silence before leaving. And let’s not forget—no one bothered to check on us during our meal to ask if everything was okay with the food! We did however be courteous enough to leave as soon as we finished allowing enough time for the table to be prepared for the next diners To top it all off, as we were leaving, walking past the multiple empty tables. the same staff member was sat at the front, completely glued to her phone and oblivious to our presence exiting, even with three noisy kids in tow. So I can only assume the she must have ‘missed us’ Appears the root of this issue seemed to stem from her complete lack of attention in the first place however we are made to feel like we are in wrong. It’s incredibly disappointing and frankly unacceptable to be treated this way after trying to enjoy a simple outing.

Had a really lovely meal here, amazing service from Teigan who was so kind and helpful. 5 stars to Teigan for handling the amount of customers on a Saturday night

This was a regular for us but the food has gone down hill. Last had chicken wings which were more like crisp wings where they were all dried. Although staff are polite, on our last visit there was one member of staff who you could hear from the other side of the bar, not what you want when you are having a quite meal. It's also become 'not what you know, but who' when it comes to booking and seating.

Had a lunch for 4 booked here, but couldn’t go in as had a dog with us and they said they don’t allow dogs, even for a seat in the garden. So this is a neutral review as the pub looked nice at least and would have liked to have stayed. It is a bit unusual not to allow dogs in an English pub, especially for a seat in the garden. I may have missed it, but I couldn’t see it mentioned anywhere on the website when booking or any signs in front of the pub. So perhaps this could be stated more clearly. Will try again one day when dog-free.

Regular customers and love the service provided by Sue, the friendly bar staff and cook. Lindsey and Devon always chat. Enjoy the food too. Thank you.

Came to eat for the 3rd time, friendly staff, great food and choices, tables are cleaned after people leave, staff smile and are very polite with a friendly greeting as you walk in the door, the food is hot, tasty , and comes with a smile, toilets are clean, plenty of room for a wheelchair user, great for family dinning, would recommend and will be back next Friday, thank you .

Went for an unplanned, quick Valentines dinner with husband and 4yo daughter. Classic pub style & atmosphere, lovely staff and the food was good and plentiful. Could use with some papers/pencils for kids but my daughter has loads of funn with the £1 toy machines. Will definitely visit again!

We always leave full ,it can get very busy so it's best to book , they have a garden which is good for the kids ( and adults ) when the weather allows .

Absolutely amazing ! We always come for the pub quiz on a Thursday and it is always so good. We are now regulars and look forward to coming to the yatch. Everyone is so lovely, especially Harriet who is always making our time brilliant and friendly.

We had a fab evening with friends and really enjoyed playing the quiz. The food was great value for money and good. Harriet was a fab quiz mistress, we will definitely be back!

Met up with an old friend. He chose The Yacht as the Darts was being shown. We met for Dinner and drinks. Food was great. What was particularly noticeable was the commitment to customer service. Food came out quickly and was delicious, we were asked if our meal was good, we were there for a few hours as we had a lot to catch up on and every time we ordered drinks, regardless of who was serving we were treated in a friendly and professional way. We really had a great experience.

Visited Sunday lunchtime just a week or so before Christmas. Although a busy time of year, staff worked hard to ensure food went out with minimal delay and still hot and in just cooked condition. Hate it when it's left under a heat lamp forever because waiting staff can't cope! So top marks there 👍 Prices for drinks are what you'd expect for a pub around here these days. Food, good quality and good value for money. I had a steak which was from a good, tender cut of beef and cooked just as I like it. Only tiny disappointment was the metal griddle plate which usually keeps everything sizzling hot, didn't! It was just warm. That said the food was still hot and fresh, so bearing in mind the busy time of year, I think I can live with that.

Did not eat on this occasion. Love the garden children's area and heaters so sitting outside is an option

Love this pub! Always visit when in the area as my dad loves the steaks. They always keep an excellent pint of Guinness as well. The landlady, Sue, is a character and always welcoming. Thank you .

The food was mediocre, and the service was even worse. The waitress who took our order was incredibly rude and, frankly, seemed racist. As soon as I started speaking, she looked annoyed. I ordered a burger, which the menu said came with fries and onion rings, but she asked if I wanted onion rings without mentioning there was an extra charge. When I requested the receipt, she gave me that same annoyed look again. It turned out I’d been charged extra without knowing, and when I asked for clarification, her response was defensive, saying “I have asked you” in a raised tone, without an apology. Her attitude was rude, and I couldn’t stay silent because when dealing with people like that, you have to stand up for yourself. To the management: consider training your staff properly. Behavior like this will drive customers away Ps. If she had apologized I wouldn't have done the review

We had a fabulous time on Wednesday lunch with a bunch of girls and 5 kids. Lovely meals really friendly staff and the back garden and sitting area are beautiful. Lovely playground for the kids too who managed to have a good play date also 😀

Update : Sadly menu has changed and dry rub wings have gone, but still a good pub. The quiz night on Thursday is really good, but be sure to book! Great kids playground, chicken wings with dry rub are fantastic. Been there a few times and will definitely be going back

Just had a sharing plater around 12pm today food was only warm, didn't ask if we wanted plates and when I did they come out stone cold, so you expect people to have warm food on cold plants, asked the barman and he said yer that's all we have, what a joke, I won't be coming back £25 not impressed to say the least.. Lovely place to have food. Warm and welcoming, food coming out was slightly slow however well worth the wait, food was cooked perfectly. Reasonably priced too. Play ground area for the kids and ample parking.

A group of 8 very hungry work mates needed this experience after today and we were greeted by kind a friendly staff who catered for us in every way from the initially walking in to leaving very happy. The service is genuinely accommodating, the food is extremely amazing and we all had an amazing time. If you have never been to the Yacht, you need to go. I take my kids there often and for most of our group, this is their first visit. One very happy bunch of customers and thank you to everyone at the Yacht ⛵

Went for a drink there the other day. The table we were sitting at was sticky with God knows what, as was the table next to ours. How difficult is it for the staff to properly clean the tables??

Myself and my partner came here for a meal this evening and was very disappointed with the food. My chicken was warmish and the corn on the cob was actually stone cold. Won't be returning here again it also states on menu flame grilled roast chicken was more like boiled chicken

Havent been to the yacht for some time Went recently for Friday lunch with family(as cook logs kitchen electric wasn't working) the staff were friendly helpful and polite don't know if it was just bad luck on the day but the food wasn't good ordered two shared platters the macaroni cheese tasted awful and that wasn't just myself saying this ribs awful beef was lovely I had steak on flat bread the steak was cold had to send back to get a hot one came back hot but half missing rest of my order was nice it's a shame really is a lovely pub but won't be going there again.

Really good pub with great staff. Excellent for watching all live sports. Great selection of drinks and a great menu. Would like there to be a couple more onion rings (only 2 given) and a steak upgrade option on the mixed grills as the rump steak can be quite challenging.

Decent English pub. Menu has a good range. You can use the app to order from your table. Bit pricey for some things but all in all an acceptable spot. Got limited parking outside too.

Visited 12.08.24. Really unhappy with the presentation of my Mac and cheese it looked very unappetising compared to the pictures that are advertised my partner asked 2 members of staff if that’s how it’s meant to be they replied yes. Messaged via Facebook messenger and I’ve had no response 5 days later. I don’t mind eating microwave meals but they could have at least tried to disguise it a bit more and massive difference to advertising. I actually never complain but I felt this was a bit of a Liberty.

Served by iesha today on several ocassions due to staying for a while being such a nice place to spend with family such a lovely girl patience of a saint very profesional Served with a smile and conversation credit to the yatch! Great pub 5* for the food! came out all together for 9 people! Thankyou.

Excellent food for a pub. Not a fan of apps but I guess it's the modern world. Ordered and paid while at the table and the food came out all together, cooked well, in good time. We ate outside and it was a comfortable August evening experience. Would I go back? Absolutely.

We happen to be in the area and decided to explore it. The food was delicious. We tried the mac&cheese, the mushroom pie and the flatbread. The staff is very courteous and it has a lovely kids play area as well.

Came with friends for a Sunday dinner and no disappointment, we loved it! We were looked after by Sammy who was fantastic. Will come back!

Pre booked a table for 8pm a few days in advance. Arrived at 7.45 to be seated. A young rather rude lady booked us in to be seated. My partner then went to get drinks. 15 minutes later the young lady came over and told us that the wait for food was 2 hours. Unbelievable.. Not only was we not told as we was seated about the long wait for food. Which had been pre booked!!!!. The young lady herself was rather rude and in my opinion should not be liasing with customers there was no respect for others or the company. Definitely will never be going into there again.. Rant over..

Absolutely awful. Service is not good at all. Don't listen to the order. It's like playing Russian Roulette with your food. You won't get what you ordered Only a quarter of the pub busy. (20 people visable) we waited from start to finish. Mains and desserts 3 hours. Over a hour wait for 4 desserts. I'm a visitor to this area. Will NOT recommend this pub to a homeless person. Avoid avoid avoid. Update. Parking was NOT an issue. It's the service we received was awful. This is for the Bexleyheath.

Came in today for a Birthday meal! The food was absolutely lovely, we had to have a dessert. The kids loved playing in the play area and the staff were very attentive and had a positive attitude.

We always have a such a good time when we come here. We recently came for the Euros and enjoyed the starter to sharer, which came out in a timely manner, and well priced pints. The beer garden is also very lovely and would definitely advise coming here, but make sure to book as it can get busy!

Food came out and looked like it had bren microwaved and chucked on the plate! Kids were absolutely running riot which I know it is a family pub but it was more like a soft play with the amount of kids running through the pub! Ordered drinks on the table service twice and both times they didn't arrive after 20 minutes so had to go get them and they hadn't even been started!!

In the Yacht for the England Denmark game in the Euros. What a fabulous and friendly pub. Great atmosphere. Delicious food. Drinks perfect. But the absolute star of the show was one of the bar staff who was like a Tasmanian Devil. He was serving behind the bar, doing assisted service at tables, clearing tables and serving food. It was like he had an extra pair or two of hands and feet! Lightning speed! The best service for miles around. Well done Dan and well done to The Yacht Pub!

I'm changing my review from 5 to a 3 because the steak I had Friday lunchtime was shocking, it was medium rare as I asked but was dry and wasn't seasoned so had no flavour whatsoever and tbh steak is easy to cook so not a trained cook i guess (i wont call someone who cook a steak that bad, a chef), it was that bad that I had to put ketchup on it to make it edible which I feel disgusted with myself for doing and i only donethis as i work nights and needed my bed and didn'twant to wait for another or something else. The missus and the little one enjoyed there food but I will never order a steak here again. Stick with chicken and burgers people.

A popular pub serving food with in side and outside seating. The menu is varied and very reasonably priced. There is a children's menu and outside play park.
