Great little local Welsh cafe with nice selection of food and drinks. Seating outside when the sun’s out. Like to go there after walking in the park.

Just had a lovely breakfast here. A pleasure to have everyone speak good Welsh in the place.

A lovely little cafe in the middle of the Gwendraeth Valley. The woman asked in Welsh "Would you like anything to drink?". It was great to hear staff where Welsh comes first. First visit, lovely bacon sandwich and cups of tea. I would definitely recommend this little cafe. Lovely little cafe right in the heart of the Gwendraeth valley. This was our first time trying this cafe after passing it so many times. So glad we did. We were served very quickly after entering and finding a seat and the service was very friendly and welcoming. After having so many poor meals at other locations The Cwtsh was such a pleasant surprise. The food was basic but of good quality and was piping hot, which a lot of places seem to struggle with. Both the cafe and its toilets were spotlessly clean. We would definitely recommend and be revisiting our selves!

Always a lovely greeting, really nice home cooked food and reasonable prices.

Unfortunately whilst the food was lovely it took over 1 1/2hrs to receive our food and had to chase it up. Was almost given the wrong food. Had chase up drinks. Was half an hour between half the table receiving their food and the remaining half.

Lovely breakfast made with good quality ingredients and proper toast. Tea or coffee is included in the price of the breakfast which is a rarity these days.Clean and tidy and very friendly service

Great place for a breakfast in the heart of Cwm Gwendraeth, with very friendly staff.

Such a cosy welcoming place to visit. Wonderful food (check out the lush CHEESE PIE). I had a really yummy Coconut & Lime gateaux, was delicious. Spotlessly clean, especially the toilets. Staff are really lovely too. Can't wait to go again. 😋

Yet again we had dinner at Y Cwtsh. And yet again the homecooked food is 100% fabulous. The cafe, shop and toilets are spotless. The staff are warm, friendly and very helpful. I love this Cafe, if you havnt been try it.

I visited with friends after hearing good reports of Y Cwtsh. We were not disappointed, we had a warm welcome by the staff. The food was home cooked, well presented and tasted lovely. We shall definitely be returning to try other options on the menu. Also, the whole venue was spotlessly clean. Free off road parking is available just behind the building in a large carpark. Highly recommend a visit

Siaredir Cymraeg yma. Welcoming, friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, a good place to go for a coffee, snack or light lunch. Shame that the bookshop has shrunk as the cafe has grown. Now the shop is relegated to what was a meeting room at the rear of the building. Not a good place to have a shop as most cafe customers don't know it's there - also room now unavailable for meetings/classes etc. Pity. Free parking nearby. All on ground floor - wheelchair access. Customer toilet.

Lovely clean, little cafe & gift shop, good choice of food & drinks. My husband & myself had a tasty curry, daughter had lovely childs meal with drink. Reasonably priced. Staff super friendly. Will definitely be calling again soon

Lovely food nice staff We have invited friends down (on 3 differant occasions) Saturdays, but sadly closed despite the fact opening times have said its open. They seem to close the cafe willy nilly. VERY DISSAPOINTED, How they run a business like this we do not know, it must be funded by the Welsh Government

What a wonderful cafe with beautiful food. The decor is lush. Crockery used is very nice and tasteful. A nice place to sit and have chats with everyone. You would never be lonely there

Lovely food, very reasonably priced and a great atmosphere. It is quintessentially Welsh, with a warm welcome. Put it this way, we intended to be on our way in half an hour but stayed for an hour and a half. We could have whiled away many an hour there.

What a lovely homely and welcoming cafe. Delicious food and also an eclectic collection of gifts with a Welsh twist.

Not only a gift shop. It has a cafe and small shop. Specialising in Welsh books and birthday cards with some crafts. Good breakfast before 11:30am, freshly cooked. Closed Sunday. No disabled toilet.

Nice clean cafe with combined gift shop. Home cooked meals, cakes etc. Cakes are expensive, coffee not always good. Friendly staff who go out of their way for some customers but not everyone.

Very good place as a cafe an lots of activity’s on certain dates and make a lush selection of cakes milkshakes and biscuits good for adults/ teens party like a chill out type if you what I mean and fair play to alaw and all the staff Great service and food ..

Lovely choice of Welsh themed gifts - we have purchased some to give to English friends. Have also called in several times for a yummy breakfast ... very clean and the staff are lovely.

A very Welsh café in a central Cwm Gwendraeth village called Pontyberem S. Wales. Also sells Welsh books,crafts and Welsh lessons by arrangement. Come here often . Good straight hot drinks and various toasted sandwiches and breakfasts, all reasonably priced. Excellent warm friendly service. Yn bennaf yn siarad Cymraeg gyda gallu i siarad Saesneg os gofynnir. English is also spoken. Half way between Llanelli and Carmarthen and only 8 miles from the M4! Closed Sunday: Open Saturday Morning: Weekdays 09:00 - 16:30. Please check before travelling.

If you want home cooked food and a nice, cosy environment, eat here! Always nice to sit and have a light meal or a hot drink and cake in a Welsh speaking environment. All staff are lovely and very friendly. And i would highly recommend the cheesecakes made by Wendy. Especially the oreo one and the white chocolate and raspberry one! There are also lovely items available in the shop!
