Very good food, very helpful staff and pretty big portions. Highly recommended.

Found this place when we moved to the area. Plenty of room for a pushchair. Friendly staff, always welcoming. Great food, from a piece of cake to a full breakfast and more. Plenty of drink choices also.

Really good find at the back of the Cattle Market Car Park. Extensive menu, reasonably priced, excellent friendly service, nice local atmosphere. Parking nearby in Pay & Display carpark £1.20 for 4 hrs. Plenty of time to Eat and look around town.

A great find, recommended by a local (we were visiting the area on holiday) a little hard to find but a great place to eat. I had a veggie breakfast it was really good and it's good value too, the staff are lovely and the service was great, well worth a visit.

Googled the cafes in Newcastle Emlyn and the cwtch coffi came up didn't realise it was so near to the car park . Very busy cafe but that's a positive thing We managed to get a table .staff very efficient and polite . Lovely table service and Breakfast and drinks delivered within 20 mins .yes I paid 10.50 for the large breakfast included gluten free toast But didn't offer the whole gluten free option but what I had was lovely Highly Recommend

We came here for breakfast, and we weren’t disappointed. It was just what we needed, and it was good value. Definitely worth a visit as they do food all day, including breakfast.

Love the new location and the new menu. Great to see some adventurous dishes on the menu. Really admire your community atmosphere - from the crochet club to the Welsh learners event. A real local service and great food and a smile too.

We didn't realise 'Y Cwtch' had relocated to this great spot just off the main carpark next to the bowling green. It might be off the main shopping road, but it is well worth a visit should you fancy a clean customer friendly cafe. The menu is quite extensive and home made cakes that look delicious. We both had a well cooked and presented breakfast. All of the produce are quality and cooked just right. Not overpriced and staffed by wonderful individuals. We will definately be going back and would recommend to others.

We called in at lunchtime, to find this gem of a cafe packed. Luckily a party were just leaving so we anaged to get a table. The menu is quite extensive , full of sandwiches, wraps, cafe favourites Welsh rarebit, all day breakfasts, chips dishes , salads etc. Alcohol is served too. The cafe is part of a sports club building. Very handy next to a public carpark , charges apply. Near the town center so handy for shopping etc. The salads we were served with were plentiful, tasty and well priced. Our freshly brewed coffee was the best I have tasted for a long time. Considering how busy the cafe was, service was friendly, efficient and polite. The toilets were very clean. This place is very child friendly. No dogs are allowed onto the complex for obvious reasons being a sports pavillion.

Little gem of a place serving great food.

Popped in after visiting the local antiques shop. Coffee was really nice but food took ages to arrive considering it was just a sandwich, panini and chips. Chips weren't very nice and bacon cold in the blt. Shame as it was quite pricey too.

Went there last week with some friends we have to wait a long time for are food and when it came it was cold

Lovely café our food and drinks really good, love the coffee and fresh cream cakes. Nice service polite and friendly would definitely Recommend.

The eating area is clinical and simple very noisy which is enhanced by the lack of sound deadening materials and background music but it is pet friendly. The food was of good quality but overpriced when compared to the alternatives within a short distance. You are asked if you have you Pre booked when entering. Food Rating is 3

Spotlessly clean, a lot more space inside that the outside appearance. Good coffee. Nice breakfast, even got the egg perfect! Polite staff and service was fast. Would definitely recommend. Will be calling again. Thanks guys, great work.

I had a £10 note to spend on a breakfast . I chose the basic breakfast for £8 plus tea clearly shown as £1.95 in all the menus. The breakfast was ok but the sausage was bland and tasteless. When I went to pay the girl said £10.20 please . I said that was wrong . I showed her the menu and prices . She said the price on the till was the right price , £2.20 for tea. I said that wasn’t my fault : the price advertised to me was £1.95 . She said I had to pay the full price of £10.20 . As I didn’t have any other cash on me I had to reluctantly use my card. I said it wasn’t right I had to pay the higher price although it fell on deaf years. I shan’t return.

Coffee and a wrap . Both if the specials board . Tasty I would suggest less crisis and a bit of a side salad instead . Lady behind the counter could do with smiling and making conversation goes along way

My husband and i called in for a breakfast coffe ok but breakfast not good cheap sausage overcooked bacon and hard egg mushrooms that tasted off .Work going on outside but no excuse for the dust that was on table that i had to wipe dull looking cafe that needs updating cant get over the decline in the town of Newcastle Emlyn!!

Very tasty halloumi and mixed pepper panini accompanied by a decent latte, although at £11.70 it felt slightly overpriced, in my opinion

Lovely staff. I had a cappuccino but unfortunately it's just tasted of warm milk, not a hint off coffee in it sorry to say. I always keep a coffee in my vehicle for occasions like this.

Poor selection of cakes coffee was very strong, milk shake machine incredibly loud,sausage roll reheated in a microwave very rubbery all in all not a very enjoyable experience

Service was fine but a bit slow and the coffee was OK except for the extra £0.60 charge for non diary milk, which is a bit of a tuck up. The place looks a little tired and using a corner of the cafe for storage of stock next to an unused cake display looked a bit scruffy. Slightly overpriced.

Went for a coffee, it must have new owners as the ambience has gone and seating is not at all comfortable. The décor is nothing like the photos on here any more. Gone are the comfy sofas and chairs, replaced what can best be described as school canteen seats. Whilst the coffee was ok, the place lacked atmosphere, enhanced by the swearing coming from the kitchen! Please remember customers can here everything you say and save it for when its empty!

Ordered a birthday afternoon tea for my friend. Popped down to Emlyn to collect it. Really well packaged and completely full of delicious home made sandwiches, savoury and traditional scones, and cakes. Even had a couple of Welsh tea bags enclosed. Honestly, it was delicious. Hubby happened to pop home and there was more than enough for him to share with us. Would highly recommend, we had a lovely time ploughing through all the items in the box.

Despite being busy we were welcomed in and served cheerfully and quickly. The food was delicious. My sister and I tried one of the specials home made soups each which came with lovely fresh sourdough baguette style bread and butter, they were both full of flavour! Everything was done with a smile by Rachel, Sam and Carla and the place has a friendly atmosphere, we would definitely return.

Went for breakfast had the Cwtch I think it was almost £7 not bad value. 1 Bacon 1 Sausage 1 Egg, Beans mushrooms 1/2 Grilled Tomato 1 Slice of Toast Tea or Coffee. My husband asked the lady if we could have tomatoes well grilled she said no problem. Place was clean very friendly staff and did not have to wait long for the breakfasts to arrive. Large cup of very strong coffee which I don't mind and a pot of tea for my husband 2 teabags and plenty of milk. Food was lovely apart from the grilled tomato which must have jumped out as soon as it felt the heat of the grill the same with the toast as they were both under cooked to be fair we did not ask for well done toast. One other thing that we did not like was the slice of bacon was really over done not crispy just like a piece of leather as if had been pre cooked and cooked again. Sorry ladies your tomatoes and bacon let you down but we will come again.

Stopped here for lunch on dull wet day. The lady running the cafe was very friendly and chatty. We had homemade Lamb Cawl ( a first for us - a sort of stew/soup) with crusty bread and chunk of cheese. Well worth a visit, very popular and child friendly.

We were on holiday in Cenarth, came to Newcastle Emlyn for a look around. As usual we like a brew & as we had a hungry family we stopped in Y Cwtch Coffi. Menu from first glance was, what an amazing choice. So we chose our meals, drinks etc all served promptly & friendly, including acknowledging the kids, which some places don't. Amazing service, beautiful food, would wholly recommend that if your in Newcastle Emlyn to find this place.

Popped in on a Monday late morning for refreshment. Ordered tea, fizzy orange, baked potato and toast. Tea looked and tasted like tea, pouring from a chipped teapot (adds character) 😁 Baked potato was tasty, fluffy and came with coleslaw and a huge dressed salad. Toast was good. The lady that took my order was down to earth and approachable. This place isn't fancy. Doesn't look fancy but the food is lovely. I'll be calling in again.

My daughter in Leeds ordered an afternoon tea for two to be delivered to us from Cwtch Coffi in Newcastle Emlyn to Llanarth near New Quay. It was amazing. There were lovely sandwiches (without crusts), different fillings and breads. Scotch eggs, sausage rolls, cheese scones, and a large selection of mini cakes. With fresh fruit, jam, butter, clotted cream and even tea bags. All delivered by a lovely lady from Cwtch Coffi. My daughter was very happy with the service she had when she ordered and we were very happy with the quantity and quality of the afternoon tea. Many thanks.

absolutely fabulous food - especially gluten free cakes and quiches - staff are lovely - very helpful and friendly and hard working. This has to be my favourite place to eat in my neighbourhood. The owner has made 'bubbles' around each table to you feel completely safe while enjoying your meal or snack. Coffee is great too.

Food and drinks were great and the service excellent and friendly. Pancakes were especially nice and a good portion size. However, the changes for covid have gone a bit far. Loads of screens everywhere even though the tables are sufficiently distanced, but fine. What was really irritating though was the use of throw away *everything* - cups, cutlery, and even plates. Each table was being cleared into its own bin bag and thrown away. This really isn't necessary according to the guidelines, and is not sustainable. Please use usual crockery etc and put it in the dishwasher - which kills viruses.

Fabulous place for coffee, cake and light meals. Staff are friendly service is excellent and the cakes are out of this world!

Social distancing was practiced when entering the café. Staff were polite & service was good. The coffee was nice however we sat outside & the seating was very close to the pavement so people could walk past quite close.

Popped into this cafe whilst on holiday with my family, it was take away only and very well laid out due to COVID. The service was fab, lovely ladies, one was very helpful recommending us the best beaches to visit and my children loved the hot chocolate. Will definitely go back when in the area.

A slightly overpriced breakfast, the food was nice enough and good quality produce, I recieved it slightly cold and should have been given hot breakfast considering it's price.

I hung out in this cafe quite a bit today whilst waiting for my MOT to be done. I first had a lovely strong americano coffee with soya milk and then went back after a bit of shopping for a veggie breakfast. The breakfast was cooked nicely and everything was piping hot. Lovely. There was a nice friendly atmosphere and the waitress was very smiley. Thank you for allowing me to take my time, read my book and shelter from the rain!

Went for breakfast here. Waitresses are all very young with no customer experience or communication skills. The food is even worse. Bacon tough and dry, fried eggs over done by 30 minutes (by what they came out like), bread is cheap and not toasted, and everything un seasoned.

Fast service ice. Friendly staff, warm atmosphere. I had fabulous poached eggs my husband had scrambled, lovely yellow eggs. What a Treat. These were the best I’ve had anywhere. Such friendly helpful staff.

Had a panini with side salad. Found a small caterpillar in the salad. Whilst I appreciate these things can happen, I was taken aback to be charged full price for my meal. Would not return here, not because of the caterpillar, but because they considered it decent to charge over £7 for this experience.

Popped in to this cafe whilst passing through Newcastle Emlyn , and what a find ! , We had nice coffee and the most tasty cheese scones , absolutely delicious. Well worth a visit for the scones alone !!.

Perfect and friendly staff, lovely location, and very well presented, love the smoothies, love the dishes, perfect for an afternoon tea, dinner, breakfast, or weekend meal. And my mother works there, and shes the dish washer which means shes an amazing cleaner, although she overdoes it. Hope you have a please and lovely meal or drink. And Enjoy. Just admire and enjoy the company. Cant really argue with the place, apart from I struggle when its busy. Theres also seating area and wheelchair access and also a seating area out the front for the smokers or if you genuinely want to enjoy the lovely area of Newcastle Emlyn. Dont forget to have a good laugh. Thats the best advice. Positive vibes for this place. Well and truely.

We went for Brunch and the food was very good. It wasn't the best day to go because the chef had to go home. The stand in staff did very well but they were a bit rushed. I'd like to go again to taste some of the things that weren't available that day.

Rarely write reviews but this little cafe deserves a mention. Possibly the best cooked breakfast we’ve had anywhere. To top that, service with a smile. What more could you ask for? A loo with a view? They have that too, and very clean! Well done Y Cwtch Coffi !

Whilst the cafe looked spotless the food left a whole lot to be desired. Visited on a weekday afternoon and ordered a slice of Victoria Sponge. The sponge was so dry it was almost inedible. I don’t understand how a cafe can sell a cake like this, where has the pride gone? Many of the cakes looked a little sad and few looked homemade. As one of the main cafes in this small town I unfortunately couldn’t recommend.

Lovely cafe. Visited with friend today for lunch. Friendly staff willing to change the type of cheese in our panini. Food well presented and salad garnish more than just a piece of limp lettuce with a tomato wedge. Lovely coffee too. Would recommend.

Stopped past for a well deserved hot Chocolate a few months back and it was spot on. really good quality hot chocolate and cake. The customer service is fantastic and they staff really look after you. you are made to feel like you are at home.

Lovely lunch first class coffee. The breakfast is superb cooked to your exact specifications. Also try the chicken liver pate scrumptious.

I have been here before and decided based on a past experience to have lunch here again. We arrived at 1.40 on the 15 of October, what a disappointment, We found a seat and waited for the used crockery to be cleared. A waitress cleared the adjacent table and completely ignored my partner and I.

Unfortunately since the change of owner(s) the standards have slipped. The coffee has definitely taken a turn for the worse, why try and fix something that isn't broken? Please bring the original coffee back!
