Xiongqi hotpot in Sheffield

Really great food. Totally recommend!

I have always loved eating. Even if the dishes are lacking in quality or freshness, the spicy millet can be transformed into long red peppers. I love hot pot so much that I can't bear it. Until the clerk quarreled with me. He agreed not to give me a discount of more than ten yuan. He also argued with me in front of many people. It was my birthday. I was completely disgusted. I will never go there again, nor will I let anyone around me go there.

Food not fresh, definitely straight from frozen. Expensive and their Service extremely bad. The old lady keep pushing us to order more. Just avoid!

We are currently running a half price event, and the half-price dishes are quite impressive. But try not to order tofu, it has a sour taste, which I have done several times. The meat is relatively fresh

Very angry. I went with my foreign friends on Saturday, probably around 2pm. The service attitude was extremely poor. A waiter in white clothes slammed the kettle on the table when asked to add water, and water spilled everywhere. I was reluctant to get a menu, and refused to help me make shrimp sliders. I kept making a bad face. Then when we were eating, there was no one in the store, and the waiters were all sitting at the table next to us chatting, which was very bad. With this price and this kind of service, I won’t come here again.

It was amazing and a lot of food so definitely worth the price. There was a lot of different options as well

Meals are limited to a limited time. The staff have poor service attitude and will keep urging you during your meal. You cannot exceed their time limit, which hinders their business. If the time is almost enough, they will take away the dishes you have not finished.

truly don't recommend if you don't want to ask for trouble GET AWAY FROM IT 😉 This sucks. Please leave comments before you go. How many can be saved? If you see it, run away, okay? Why are you doing a self-service? The store clerk is very busy. I want to be considerate and wait patiently. I even told the clerk with a pen that I wanted to add more, but I didn’t tell you that the kitchen was closed. I told you that the kitchen was closed after placing the order. Isn’t it funny? Nice hotpot restaurant with quality food. Portions were quite small though.

The spicy soup base is so spicy that it numbs your mouth, and it tastes very filling. The menu has recommended cooking times for each ingredient, so be careful not to overcook the ingredients.

First time and last time to go To summarize briefly: 1. The two of them went to eat and both had diarrhea the next day (they didn’t catch a cold, eat anything else, and didn’t have the habit of having diarrhea). 2. The two of us ordered 150 pounds more, which covers a lot of dishes, but none of them are really delicious (not to be picky, just to compare with other hot pot restaurants of the same type), just a bamboo fungus shrimp slider and Qian Zhang. not bad. I personally feel that the environment is average. The waiters all look like part-time students and are very unprofessional. There are several jars on the table and I don’t know which one is vinegar. The above statements are all true. I thought it was not delicious last night, so I decided not to come again. Today, my girlfriend and I both felt sick to our stomachs, so I couldn’t bear it, so I made an angry comment. I want to tell the merchants that they can make the food taste bad but at least ensure that the food is fresh, hygienic and healthy, and don’t ruin the Xiongqi’s sign (Xiongqi in London is much better than Sheffield’s in every aspect!)

We were not informed of the required number of people when we made the reservation. Two friends had an emergency and did not arrive. The clerk asked us to leave the private room and go to the lobby, saying that there were not enough people for us to sit. During the discussion, the attitude was extremely poor, and the service attitude was really low-key. The food is served very slowly, the taste is very poor, and the price is very expensive. I will not go there again.

Really wanna rate as zero stars. Customer service was so awful. I’ve never seen so horrible customer service. The staff shouted to other staffs “are you crazy” when she served the dishes. And when we asked for splitting the bills, the staff complained “This is exasperating”. The soup of hot pot tasted so salty. Food material was not fresh.

Just because there are not many Chinese hot pot restaurants in Sheffield, so you can operate like this?? no customer service at all, no respect for regular customers, asking for cash checkout, but the discounts for paying by cash are changing all the time, according to your mood?？

A very Chinese experience of communal soup and Chinese Fondue, cooked at your table. You order a soup base, or a split bowl of two soups, these are brought to your table and set up on the hotplate in the middle of your table. The staff will tell you when the soup is ready. You then put the various meats and vegetables in the soup (the Chinese/English menu gives the reccomended times), then you fish the items back out of the soup, and either eat them, or put them into your bowl and assemble a small dish. Anything that gets lost in the soup just makes the soup richer. Staff come around with jugs of stock to replace whatever you drink and what boils away. At the end, any ingredients you have left can be packed to take away.

Atrocious, flavourless, unhygienic restaurant. Toilets were disgusting.

The hot pot here was pretty good, the staff were very friendly and welcoming despite a bit of a language barrier. They were accommodating if there were any issues and the variety of options of ingredients for your hot pot is really quite well varied. If you like Chinese hot pot it's worth a visit.

Nice staff, but the food was below average (the broth was either tasteless, or intolerably spicy) and the prices are very high. The costs are on par with London restaurants (about £30 per person) which is unjustifiable.

Above average, but I don’t think the quality can match its prices

The price is ridiculously expensive, comparable to Haidilao, but the quality is worrisome. I ordered a dish with some hair in it, and the waiter actually said, "I'll wash it for you." There was no apology or apology for the problem with the dish, but he comforted me: It's okay. Are you kidding me? After washing it, there was still hair and I reluctantly had to return it. The taste is very average, I can't bear to add the hot pot base, and the bone broth is completely tasteless. All in all, it was a terrible dining experience. The temperature in the restaurant was also very low, and there were no people around during meal time. The total cost for two people was more than 70 pounds. I will definitely not come here again.

Very spicy pot. Even with one flame. But it's just incredible delicious. Even with the whole sweating at the table. It's not only food. It's fun! And so healthy.

It is not bad generally, just a little bit spicy. The price is in the mid-range, service is okay.

Great place with a huge variety

It tastes very good, almost the same as at home.

Went for hot pot with some friends here. The food was nice enough but I'd say quite expensive. If you're hungry you're better off going for a buffet style rather than this because it can get expensive really quickly. But my friend said the the quality of food is better here - it's cheaper if you go as a group and share. There were 6 of us, and it worked out as £22.50 without drinks.
