Ordered for the first time and will not be going back. Rice was like a big ball of rice! So greasy! Most of it went in the bin!

Love this place. Bit out of my way, but go if I’m near by. Food is very tasty and a very good selection on menu.

After them sending the wrong order l rang to let them know and got accused of lying even though the girl who wrote down the order said I was right. They finally said they would send it out to us on our next order but that's a bit to late as a was unable to eat anything from the order we received. We would never use them again after the treatment they gave us and after being loyal customers for at least a couple of years.

Food absolutely brilliant we order from here every week must try

I placed an order via deliveroo and waited 3 hours for delivery. It was cold and soaked in grease. No apologies from them nothing. £43 just thrown away

Saw the article in the Hull Daily Mail about how great this place was, it's not. It is just very very average. I could moan that it took slightly over hour to deliver but it was still hot. The real issue is it was boring and utterly bland. Nothing to recommend it in any way.

Good food but was great at one time, service ok and entrance to shop needs a revamp as its still the same floor and entrance as Skelton's bakery was back in the 90's

Always use this chinese but food took 2 and a half hours to arrive, called numerous times and each time said its 10 mins away, not likely to use anymore

Waited over 2 hours for our delivery rang them after 1 hour 30 to be told kitchen was just going to cook it when food arrived it was luke warm not hot..First time using them won't be bothering again poor service

Never Again! Over a 2 hour wait, rang up to be told the delivery driver had to go home to use the toilet. Paid 40 for order and all of it was cold and they did not give me a refund or replacement, all of it went in the bin and went else where which also turned out to be rubbish as well, so spent £80 in one night. It was such an awful night

I wouldn't even give this place 1 star. Food was awful, salty and meals tasted the same. Takeaway aren't interested 😕 it's all gone in the bin .

1st you think you ordering 1 mega spring rool and arrives 4 small sprig rools 2nd the rice is mixed with soya and egg but no tast of the burn smoked wok. Tasteless 3rd the Duck was small peaces with more fat than Duck 4rt The pork on 2 of my dishes was hard. Like been in the fridge for a few days and tried to be warmed up. Big fails. 5t the Special ChowMein was nodles with soya and they dropped the cold meats in the top. 6th the meat was missing that texture from a Chinese style. 7. Big mistake Sorry just 2 photos because I gave it to by dogs. I would recommend if you have dogs.

It's the only Chinese takeaway I will use on Holderness Road

Firstly, the best Chinese takeaway I have ever had, without a doubt, the best in Hull. Recommended to family and friends. The food was brilliant, service excelled my expectations. lady at the counter was nice and polite. Ps: Could you add the peking sauce to the menu because it’s exceptional!!

Excellent food! Great tasty and good value for money. Had the mushroom chow mein, vegetarian spring rolls and egg fried rice. All very nice but the star was the salt and pepper chips. Ordered though Foodhub and it was delivered very quickly (though that may have been a bit of luck). Will defiantly be our new ‘go to’ Chinese.

We have been customers for years and have ordered through just eat and directly and have never had an issue with the food. The meals we have ordered have been lovely and the food has always been hot. A few orders over the years have been late but it is often the case when its a weekend. Tonight, I rang to place an order and after giving my address, the woman who said to me "ok, as long as nobody is rude to the driver" it took me by surprise and I said that nobody has ever been rude to anybody because it is often myself who takes the food and sometimes my hsuband. I was so shocked and ofended i did get annoyed and told her they lost a loyal customer and put the phone down. Before you accuse someone, make sure you have the correct details and facts!

Placed order online and paid online still waiting for delivery 2hrs later rang up for update said it was on its way still waiting ..... very very bad service will not be ordering from them again..... do not order unless you order for next day delivery

I often order from here as we have always had nice food. However I ordered duck pancakes and the box was pretty much empty. I rang them to let them know and ask for another duck to be sent out, they said no we ain't gun a do nothing about it and then refused to give us a refund. The attitude is disgusting and we are truly disappointed at the lack of customer service and care. Will not be returning

I always order spicy Singapore noodles but I got non spicy & is not a tasty ( customer service is not a great)

Ordered fried rice chips and gravy the rice was obviously boiled minimal amount of chips and very little gravy which made eating the rice impossible as it was all so dry. Won't be ordering again taste awful 😞

The second best chinese takeaway I've ever tried. I won't name the best, it would be unfair to Xin Feng. Food is amazing, menu is varied, portions are decent. Food 5/5 Value 5/5 Service 2/5 I understand they can be busy, especially with COVID and lockdown making more people order rather than go out to eat. However, twice I have ordered (out of 5 times) and waited over TWO HOURS for delivery. Food was hot when delivered, but they initially said 50 minutes. That was extended to 1 hour 30 minutes, but it was well over two hours in reality. I'd prefer if they told me I'd be waiting two hours up front. Then I could make a decision to call another takeway or have a snack while we waited.

Currently awaiting our 4th order from you in past few months, over past few years have tried so many different Chinese takeaways and been disappointed, this place however is top notch 👌🏻👍🏻 the wait for delivery is usually between 1-1 1/2 hours which isn't ideal, have collected once but as slightly out our way to collect prefer the option of delivery.

We have just ordered on line at 6.30 phoned up to see where it was and it was out for delivery I phoned back 30 mins later and now they don't have an order for us I for one will never be ordering from them again

we ordered for 6 of us to a tricky delivery location and the food arrived pretty much on time and without any issue. the food was very good and we ordered again the following night. beef chop suey and fried rice was excellent, big portions well cooked and came with fortune cookies and prawn crackers we will order again if back in hull

These guys were one of the only Chinese takeaways to remain open throughout the whole of lockdown, albeit on an online delivery basis only. I ordered various times over the past few weeks and was always impressed. Good, tasty food , generous portions and authentic ingredients. Chop Suey that actually contains bamboo shoot, water chestnut, etc! Good prices and quick delivery - Give them a try!

Absolutely unreal. Was 30 minutes faster than expected delivery, The food was delicious- We shared the starter box between us and it was divine, I couldve easily had that and nothing else as it was super filling i could barely eat my mains but honestly it was amazing- Will have leftovers tomorrow! First time here, will be back- Only occasionally though as its almost double the cost of our usual chinese.

I ordered crispy shredded chicken in chilli with rice but it was more like sweet and sour which I'm not a fan of, not enough chilli came through in the dish. The ribs were honey ribs as I expected the chicken to be spicy otherwise I would have ordered salt and chilli ribs. The meat fell off the bone best ive had in a long time. It was hot and fresh so can't really complain just a bit too sweet I will be ordering again but I'll change what I have for next time. Thank you

I thought I paid a lot for what I got. I ordered a meal but rice was not part of that meal which I found odd. Quality was fine and delivery was on time. Ultimately I was disappointed.

Special fried rice was fine, prawn toast was bad, delivery charge (£3.20) was worse.

The food wasn’t packed right & had all come undone in the bag so all the packaging was covered in sauce when I finally managed to save a bit it had a burnt taste to it not nice at all

Delivery was good, but chicken was pink and mushy, prawns undercooked, even though they sent out another straight away food still was not good. I have used these before and never had a problem. But this was not a good order.

Poor delivery with food being over 25 minutes late. After calling to ask where good was it took a further 10 minutes for it to arrive after being told it was on its way.

WARNING to anyone thinking of ordering from here. We’ve ordered, Salt and pepper chicken with noodles, and salt and pepper chips. Our expectation was as advertised, spiced seanoned chips, and chicken.... What we received was unseasoned chips, and popcorn chicken with boiled plain noodles (not fried) It was all soggy and had a really suspicious taste of fish.. It wasn’t great and after spending a lot of money on this... I decided to pop in and ask for a refund or fresh food... I was met by a man who just laughed at me, told me it was my dodgy tastebuds... and that it’s their standard to serve soggy cold chips and fishy chicken... We had to have a complete standoff in the takeaway before the man agreed to replace my food after a chef heared the commotion and came out to look.... the chef saw my awful fishy food and agreed it was sub standard and made me fresh... Which is actually a decent replacement to be honest. That cocky owner did not want to give me fresh food though or my money back and was more interested in blaming my “dodgy tastebuds” for his cold, soggy fishy food. Won’t be going back. And advise others to be careful. I hope to goodness this fishy chicken doesn’t make me poorly....

Proper dog sxit! Was surprised it only taken 20 mins from ordering to arrive after it said it would be at least an hour..the food tasted and could smell fish. Stick to who you know ppl never go to this place!!!
