This garden is no longer Wyevale. Owned .It has changed overpriced no good customer care or welcome even. Much money has been spent on everything BUT the toilets are still DIsgusting. I also visited last September and was astounded that only choice for Lunch was Carvery. There was nothing to inform us of this fact until I had queued at the counter so all we could have apart from this was very limited . There should have been some indication on entering and certainly from staff member who found us a table. I visited once again today and still they still persist in not supplying water in a glass.

How sad, this garden centre used to be a go to place for a guaranteed good breakfast, now it's an overpriced, poor quality, unfriendly cafe. Staff with no customer facing persona, at least when there were more mature staff you got a 'good morning" and a feeling of service. Even butter on your toast...not an invisable scrape! Pricing at till is somewhat haphazard with no receipt given. Will not recommend.

Meet a friend for brunch. Lovely area to sit outside. It was very busy, clearly popular. Staff incredibly busy, polite and helpful. We both ordered Eggs Benedict. The menu did not say it was vegetarian but it did not mention ‘ham’, or traditional bacon. It did mention watercress. Food arrived, very disappointing. Eggs were cooked ok only positive. A cold piece of ham lay over a partially toasted slice of bread, which was soggy from the wet cold ham. No watercress. Was very tasteless. On visiting the toilets, one toilet was unflushed and yuk, the dryer didn’t work and there were no paper towels, I put my bag on the floor not realising I was putting it on wetness ? What.

Visited the Tring Garden Centre for the first time and tried the restaurant for Sunday lunch. What was annoying was that they had all the normal menus on the tables so we sat down and chose from the menu and then queued up to order when we saw a sign saying carvery only today at the counter. So why have all the usual menus out on all the tables if only serving carvery? We wasted time choosing from the kids menu and we couldn’t order as none of it was available. So we were not happy. But having said that we then tried the kids packed lunch which came with a lovely freshly made ham sandwich, drink, crisps, jelly and raisins. So my kids were happy with that. My husband loved the carvery which was a reasonable price. I really liked my toasted ciabatta with tuna and cheese. My mum liked her jacket potato and the salad was great which came with all our foods. We didn’t have to wait too long for the food to arrive and it all arrived together. But the queue to order the food was very long which shows it’s a popular place. The cakes were overpriced at £4.50 for a normal size slice of cake so it’s a rip off. The coffee cake was dry and horrible. The carpark is not easy to park. Didn’t use the toilet facilities so I don’t know. But the garden centre was nice with interesting things. Overall happy with our visit and would visit again.

If you want to pay £14 for a very average tuna sandwich with an excuse for a salad ( no dressing or care with presentation) , a cold sausage roll and two bottles of soda with no ice then this is the place to head for. Oh… it took 30 minutes to arrive btw. Really poor restaurant with inadequate staff. We shall not return.

We visited here on Wednesday, before moving onto our son's graduation at RAF Halton, as only a 10 minute drive away. The toilets here are extremely clean and well equipped for the disabled and baby changing too, so we were excited to move on to the restaurant next. I had to wait over 10 mins for my order to be taken, so in this time of waiting and observing everyone in the queue, you could cut the frosty atmosphere between the staff with a knife! When I sat back down at our table, we could see another two members of staff whispering by the kitchen door - someone's ears must have been burning! My husband's order came out promptly, but he felt very uncomfortable about eating, as mine had not come out until he had nearly finished. The waitress did apologise and asked if I would like a free drink to compensate, but I declined. I would also advise the restaurant to invest in some new tea towels or try putting detergent in the machine and wash the current ones, as the dirty, dark grey colour of the ones used on Wednesday were very of putting and made me wonder what else in the kitchen is filthy! Basically, the food was hot, the tomato chutney on my smashed avocado was replaced with rocket, and the bacon was tasty, but extra sides portions were extremely small for the price. I would only use this place again as a toilet stop!

This has re opened under new owners. I know this is a tough time for everybody, but there is no need for rude arrogant staff. Very unorganised. Sat in a very long queue that could have been organised so much better. Staff shouting across customers. Telling customers about 2 mtr rule while brushing up against you. Watched as power hungry staff gave orders to customers like cattle. A gentleman asked for a pair of garden gloves and was berated in front of a 20 person long queue. All staff had masks that hung around there neck not over the face. As a retail manager for a large company, THIS is unacceptable. The manager needs to take a long hard look at what they are doing.

We used to come in for food often, but hadn’t been for a while until today. We were so disappointed over the shepherd’s pie which was supposed to have been made with spring lamb. Although quite tasty, the pie was almost of soup consistency, very sloppy, and it barely had a nodding acquaintance with any meat whatsoever. It contained a minuscule quantity of meat, just a few bits of mince in the potato which was reminiscent of Smash. The only saving grace were the vegetables. Service was courteous but slow, with only one person taking orders and dealing with drinks, etc. I hope that our next visit coincides with a significant improvement in standards.

Went primarily to see Santa and do a little Christmas shopping. Santa was wonderful, looked the part, took time to chat and while not a huge grotto everything was lovely and there was ample room for two adults and a toddler. He coped well with a suddenly dumb little person and was happy to be photographed. His elf helper was lovely and friendly too. Highly recommended

Having said it’s pricey it always seems quite busy so that can’t be everyone’s perspective. It seems crowded and the table you do find is not cleared. There is a queue so I find a table and then wait for my wife to order, which can be five or ten minutes.Food is pretty basic café faire. I think some of the tables may be taken by people just waiting for someone else who is browsing the garden centre. There seem to be quite a few tables in use by customers who have long since finished their coffee. Not a place I would choose to go for a drink or a meal, there are plenty of better alternatives, other than if we are going to the Garden Centre .... and even then I would check the queue before looking for a table. Plenty of parking. The decking outside can be slippy if damp.

Let me start by saying that the food - when it came - was quite nice. It was just everything else that let it down. it took 15 minutes standing at the counter whilst the four young men on duty tried to figure out how to use the till. They proceeded to take our order by writing it down on a bit of paper instead of putting it through the till system. Invariable, after 20 minutes, only three meals came out. my fish finger sandwich arrived, after enquiring where it was, just as the other three were finishing. my coffee refill was a totally different type of coffee. Long queues, inefficiency, poor training...but as I said, the actual food was good. Needs someone to sort this out.

Haven’t been here for a quite a while and we were looking forward to a small English breakfast as a special treat. I was happy with the hash brown, plum tomatoes and the sausage but my husband felt the poor presentation, quality of the baked beans, and grease residue from egg cooking oil that dropped onto his shorts made it unpallitable and he left a lot. I also found the presentation and overall quality disappointing. We didn’t complain as this could be a matter of personal taste. I did observe that the restaurant wasn’t as busy as it used to be and one of the assistants advised it doesn’t normally get busy until lunch time.

Quite pricey if you eat the main meals and have dessert and a drink. Comes to around £30 for lunch for two people. We always go when we have a discount voucher from the tills to bring the price down. The fish and chips is very good. Fish cooked well, not overdone. The roasts are also good on Sundays. This restaurant gets very busy around lunchtime, even at exactly 12 noon! People pile in and there is almost a chance that you can not find a table to sit at. Though, there are many tables, this restaurant is quite big. Eating a bit later without the rush hour crowds, means that it's more quieter and pleasant.

Our table was booked for 1pm, it wasn’t busy, we were given menus, but no offer of a drink. We must have waited for 10minutes with no sign of the only waitress coming over. I decided to go to the bar to order drinks, I was told someone will be with us soon to which I replied but they aren’t!! Finally our order was taken, food delivered, my friend asked for Parmesan cheese, but it never arrived. You had to put your hand up to get attention, no one came over to see if we were happy with everything. We asked for our bill, it was bought to our table and again we waited a good 10minutes, hand in the air to actually pay!!! Food was good, service absolutely appalling, goodness how they would cope if it was busy!!!

This restaurant is perfect for after a ski lesson. The food and the environment was amazing. Despite there being no Rekorderlig for my husband, I enjoyed a rhubarb gin and lemonade. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially Anisa who we were served by. There were other staff members standing around avoiding work, trying to make jokes with staff on the tills whilst they were serving customers. However it was a brilliant saturday afternoon!
